Is anybody really surprised that the president didn't denounce what's going on in Virginia as a racist act?
Didn't Trump and his father get sued for refusing to rent to Blacks for fear that Blacks would bring ghetto behavior to Trump buildings (e.g.. noise, loud music, drugs, gun fighting, roaches, rats, litter, and "baby mommas" and unemployed fathers).

They're trying to make a big deal out of it because president four-year-old won that district by 21 points or something, but presidential numbers don't always translate to local races. I'm trying to keep up with what's happening in the statehouses because the upcoming redistricting is important, and I thought you might know something about this one.
Oh my goodness!! Did not realize anyone died in the encounter between rally participants and protesters until reading the NPR article that Lila posted. The driver of the car killed a female civil right's activist, including critically injuring dozens of others.
But how about neo-nazi's mom had no ideo of her son's political views, trailing off when mentioning her son has an African-American friend. Total insanity this madness is occurring in 2017.

I wouldn't jump to too many conclusions about the mom. When interviewed, she was completely unaware that her son had been arrested for killing someone, and after they told her about it, she didn't seem particularly upset. (At that point, if I were the AP reporter, I'd have turned the camera off. Continuing to question her seemed a little ghoulish.)
It's possible that she is unaware of her son's political leanings because she is estranged from her son and not much of a part of his life.
That's a valid point, Anon: However, isn't it weird mom and son would be estranged only for the son to ask mom to watch his cat? It's as though the son suspected he might not come home.
But isn't it uncanny, Yisheng, the way forms of Nazism is front and center in the 21st century via several alt-right movements. And instead of our esteemed president denouncing these terrorists groups, he equivocates about violence. I believe either on Joy Reid's program or website article mentioning the president is unwilling to call this out because these Nazi-like groups were instrumental in his win of the presidency.
I thought the guy was kind of an asshole. I felt like his rant trivialized an extremely dangerous and volatile situation. Fuck man. Some white supremacist plowed a high-powered sports car right into a crowd of protestors. He was jamming on the gas like he wanted to kill fifty people. But I realized my comment did nothing to further the conversation. So I deleted it.
Get a handle so people can know who you are when you say something intelligent or when you make a fool of yourself.
