Dear America,

MORE DISCLAIMERS Dear America, your president canceled an important diplomatic trip to Poland because he said that he wanted to stay stateside and monitor Hurricane Dorian. Unfortunately, that was a lie. He spent the entire weekend playing golf and rage tweeting.

Dear America, a 14 year old boy in Alabama just confessed to murdering five of his own family members in their home with a 9mm handgun. The NRA will blame it on mental health and video games, and racists will say, but what about Chicago?

Dear America, do you realize that your president's [lack of]intelligence is rubbing off on normal citizens?

Dear America, does it bother you that your president lied about a phone call from China in an attempt to manipulate the stock market?

Dear America, I would like to remind you that denying service to an interracial couple in 2019 because your bible tells you that race mixing is wrong, is not cool. I don't care if it happened in Mississippi. Well...OK...it's Mississippi, but it's still wrong.

Dear America, your president just said that he was "disgusted" with the country's number one law enforcement agency. Does that bother you at all?

Dear Whoopi Goldberg, why are you ripping Debra Messing for targeting trump's donors? If they are going to contribute to the campaign of a bigot and a white nationalist we have a right to know who they are. They don't get to secretly contribute to trump's reelection and pretend that they disavow the things that he says and does. And no Whoppi, this isn't the same as a McCarthy type blacklisting. Enabling a tyrant is not the same as wanting your government to function in a particular way.

Dear Walmart, I would like to thank you for finally coming around to restricting gun and ammo sales at your stores for certain types of weapons. That's one small step for Walmart, one giant step for mankind.

    Dear Field,

Thank you for this most excellent post. And yes, all of these things do bother me. They bother me a lot. they also bothers my family, my friends and millions of other Americans who believe in Democracy.

But until the Democrats in the House of Representatives bring impeachment proceedings against Trump, most of us do not know how to effectively oppose this corrupt administration and is fascist leader. Other than signing petitions, calling our congress members, and demonstrating against Trump's policies, what can we do? I welcome any and all suggestions.

  12. As of June 29, 2016, according to the U.S. Department of Defense casualty website, there were 4,424 total deaths (including both killed in action and non-hostile) and 31,952 wounded in action (WIA) as a result of the Iraq War.
Add to that the half million or so dead Iraqis and remember, the Iraq war was a 100% white guy joint, except for Colin Powell, and he eventually sort of came to his senses about it, unlike the rest of that sick crew who all still think it was just ducky and never felt anything like a personal or professional consequence from the hideous slaughter and destabilization of that part of the world that continues to this fucking day.

  23. An anguished question from a Trump supporter: ‘Why do liberals think Trump supporters are stupid?’

The serious answer: Here’s what we really think about Trump supporters – the rich, the poor, the malignant and the innocently well-meaning, the ones who think and the ones who don’t…

That when you saw a man who had owned a fraudulent University, intent on scamming poor people, you thought “Fine.”

That when you saw a man who had made it his business practice to stiff his creditors, you said, “Okay.”

That when you heard him proudly brag about his own history of sexual abuse, you said, “No problem.”

That when he made up stories about seeing Muslim-Americans in the thousands cheering the destruction of the World Trade Center, you said, “Not an issue.”

That when you saw him brag that he could shoot a man on Fifth Avenue and you wouldn’t care, you chirped, “He sure knows me.”

That when you heard him illustrate his own character by telling that cute story about the elderly guest bleeding on the floor at his country club, the story about how he turned his back and how it was all an imposition on him, you said, “That’s cool!”

That when you saw him mock the disabled, you thought it was the funniest thing you ever saw.

That when you heard him brag that he doesn’t read books, you said, “Well, who has time?”

That when the Central Park Five were compensated as innocent men convicted of a crime they didn’t commit, and he angrily said that they should still be in prison, you said, “That makes sense.”

That when you heard him tell his supporters to beat up protesters and that he would hire attorneys, you thought, “Yes!”

That when you heard him tell one rally to confiscate a man’s coat before throwing him out into the freezing cold, you said, “What a great guy!”

That you have watched the parade of neo-Nazis and white supremacists with whom he curries favor, while refusing to condemn outright Nazis, and you have said, “Thumbs up!”

That you hear him unable to talk to foreign dignitaries without insulting their countries and demanding that they praise his electoral win, you said, “That’s the way I want my President to be.”

That you have watched him remove expertise from all layers of government in favor of people who make money off of eliminating protections in the industries they’re supposed to be regulating and you have said, “What a genius!”

That you have heard him continue to profit from his businesses, in part by leveraging his position as President, to the point of overcharging the Secret Service for space in the properties he owns, and you have said, “That’s smart!”

That you have heard him say that it was difficult to help Puerto Rico because it was in the middle of water and you have said, “That makes sense.”

That you have seen him start fights with every country from Canada to New Zealand while praising Russia and quote, “falling in love” with the dictator of North Korea, and you have said, “That’s statesmanship!”

That Trump separated children from their families and put them in cages, managed to lose track of 1500 kids, has opened a tent city incarceration camp in the desert in Texas – he explains that they’re just “animals” – and you say, “Well, OK then.”

That you have witnessed all the thousand and one other manifestations of corruption and low moral character and outright animalistic rudeness and contempt for you, the working American voter, and you still show up grinning and wearing your MAGA hats and threatening to beat up anybody who says otherwise.

What you don’t get, Trump supporters in 2019, is that succumbing to frustration and thinking of you as stupid may be wrong and unhelpful, but it’s also…hear me…charitable.

Because if you’re NOT stupid, we must turn to other explanations, and most of them are less flattering.

“James Comey, the former FBI director who oversaw the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s unlawful handling of official emails, has been chastised by the Justice Department for his improper handling of official memos. The irony is so thick that it’s hard not to laugh,” the Washington Examiner editorial board writes. “But there’s a serious problem here: Comey’s and Clinton’s actions reflect an arrogance of power and a gross disregard for the rule of law. The work that public servants produce belongs to the public. It doesn’t belong in one’s study at home or on one’s homebrewed server.”

“Funny, but I didn’t find much about the criticism of former FBI director James Comey on The New York Times website last Friday. That was the day after the Justice Department’s internal investigator, Michael Horowitz, blasted Comey for being deceitful about memos he leaked, through a friend, to The Times,” John Crudele writes in the New York Post. It’s “embarrassing when the public gets to see how news stories come about.”

Hillary Clinton didn’t intentionally put any of the “public servants’ work” on her homebrewed server. It was meant only for her personal emails. The fact some work-related emails ended up on there was a result of carelessness, not arrogance. She’s mainly guilty of being a tech-unsavvy senior citizen.

But the government is riddled with many high-ranking officials who are also sloppy with their data handling practices — including one Donald J Trump. So how did the actions of Hillary Clinton alone somehow turn into a federal case?

  34. Fergus can't ever admit when he's wrong, which is a sticky situation considering how wrong he is and how often.
He tweeted that Alabama was in danger from hurricane Dorian, and flew into a rage when the National Weather Service tweeted that no, Alabama wasn't going to be affected by Dorian, without mentioning him or his mistweet.
But Fergus couldn't let it go, so today during an oval office briefing he displayed a week-old map projecting Dorian to cut across central Florida, which it is no longer expected to do, with a smaller circle added with a Sharpie that cut into Alabama.
Now, nobody with two working neurons would get their storm safety information from Fergus, but god damn it, the motherfucking president shouldn't lie to the citizens about dangerous hurricane conditions just to protect his whiny little ego from admitting he fucked up.

I would be surprised if he is retiring because he objects to Trump. It’s probably just because he’s old.

Sensenbrenner is an anti-immigration obsessive going way back before Trump, and he was once overheard at a public event making jokes about Michelle Obama’s “big butt.” He is a fairly wealthy man who earned none of that wealth but is the heir to the (I swear I am not making this up) the Kotex feminine hygiene product fortune.

An entitled, grumpy old white dude who desperately wants to keep out foreigners? Somehow I feel like he’d fit in great in the Trump White House. I am surprised no one offered him a position.

I’d like to believe there will be some moment of reckoning when Republican legislators will be humiliated and have to stand in the spotlight and admit with deep shame they were wrong to ever support Trump. I honestly don’t see that happening, though.

I don’t know for sure how this does end.

Maybe the Republicans just keep getting more radical, spiraling out of control until some horrific act of violence or economic meltdown they’ve engineered finally discredits the party for good and it implodes, and conservatives are forced to build a whole new party for themselves from scratch.

More likely, in the post-Trump era, the GOP will just go into denial mode, gaslighting everyone and pretending that they never supported Trump and what are you dastardly liberals even talking about? How dare you?

Southern “Lost Cause” propaganda distorted history to place an excessive emphasis on Grant’s alcoholism and the corruption of various members of his presidential administration. But he was both an excellent general and a president who fought for equal rights for black Americans. When Grant left, Jim Crow came in.

At the same time, Lee was painted as a courtly gentleman who had only reluctantly joined the Confederate war effort out of a sense of duty and loyalty to his friends and neighbors. He was actually a standard-issue racist who fought to defend slavery.

In their case, the new uniform was a stupid, stupid tricorn hat with stupid, stupid teabags hanging from it, as they denied ever even hearing about this Bush fellow (who they had voted for twice and cheerled his retarded invasion of Iraq) you seem to be going on about at lugubrious length...

And they fucking got away with it. None of the fucking Bushies ever paid any personal or professional price for the damage they did, and all of their media enablers are still gainfully employed, only now since they can't sell Bush snake oil in light of the obvious catastrophe he was for the country, they have a new business model: "both sides do it."

Which is in some ways worse than the straight up pro-Bush lies they used to peddle, as it covers the asses of each Republican each time they commit a new atrocity, by falsely claiming that the Democrats are just as bad.

Of course they never have any evidence to back that up, but since their nice media jobs depend upon it, they stick with the story.

This shit has to stop. There has to be a professional price for getting the story so wrong so often, and until weasels like David fucking Brooks are laughed out of their jobs-for-life by the folks who buy the newspapers they write for, none of these fucks are likely to be held to account.

    2. There is no offender category for "hispanic".  Both mestizos and indios are lumped in with "white"; you cannot blame actual European whites for all those arrests.

For murder and non-negligent manslaughter, blacks were 5025 out of 9468 arrests—an outright MAJORITY for a 12.4% minority of the US population.  For robbery, again blacks were an absolute majority of those arrested.  For aggravated assault, blacks were over 1/3 of arrests (remember, only 12.4% of the US population).

    Try to stop lying.

Yes, do try to stop.  I know it comes to you lefturds in your mother's milk, but maybe you can come to some sort of redemption.  All you need to do is laugh it off when someone calls you "racist" for telling the unvarnished truth because reality has a strong racial bias.
