Testiclesgate.

America has a huge testicles problem,  and I mean this in the most respectful way possible.

You know that you have regressed as a society and a culture, when a semi washed up rapper's clueless words concerning the most serious pandemic of our lifetime is being tossed around and represents perfectly the zeitgeist of our era.

May heaven help us all. Nicki Minaj was being mentioned more by "serious journalists" and cable and news pundits than the leaders of countries such as North Korea and France. (Both  of these countries, by the way, were in the news for far more serious reasons than those dumb misinformed statements by the rapper.) And she has the nerve to be pissed off. If you ask me this has done wonders for her career. It's PR gold.

The poor leaders of Trinidad had to issue an official statement about the rapper's cousin's declarations. (No reports of swollen balls.) And the White House had to deny a claim that she was invited to the White House to talk about the vaccine. Nicki, of course, is hitting back. She is saying that they did in fact reach out to her, and it is the White House that is misinforming the public. Folks, trust me, I did not have a Nicki Minaj Joe Biden feud on my 2021 bingo card.  This is just nuts! Pun intended.

We shouldn't be surprised that this is where we are in America, and that the race to the bottom continues. We elected a washed up game show host with zero shame and serious mental issues to be our president. Why should anything else surprise us?

Now, incredibly, some folks actually found time out of their daily lives to march on the CDC on behalf of Nicki and her outlandish claims.

"A group of anti-vaccine protesters recently rallied outside the Centre for Disease Control headquarters in Atlanta, shouting slogans referencing Nicki Minaj‘s recent controversial tweets about the coronavirus vaccine.

“Nicki Minaj told the truth to me. Fauci lied to me,” protesters were filmed chanting outside the CDC. Local television station CBS46 reported one of the protesters saying, “We are here because the CDC has been lying to us for so long”.

Initial coverage of the rally suggested that those protesting were Nicki Minaj fans encouraged by her misinformation-laden comments. But Insider reported earlier today (September 17) that the protesters are part of a fringe political group called the Black Hammer, capitalising on the media attention surrounding Minaj’s tweets. The group is a self-described “anti-colonial organisation that exists to take the land back for all Colonised people”.

Black Hammer also took responsibility for organising the protest on their Twitter, telling followers they would be outside the CDC as they were “fed up with the way the media is portraying Nicki Minaj”.'

Hold on America, we are almost there. Just brace yourselves for the fall.

I think one of the reasons that this story has gotten traction — including from the White House — is that when COVID vaccines first became available, black Americans were one of the demographics that were most resistant to taking it. However, progress has been made in this area and vaccine hesitancy in the black community has steadily fallen. (Sadly, not much of a similar trend among white Trump fans.)

So when Nicki Minaj started blasting out nonsense about vaccines attacking your nuts, the reaction was to say “Oh Christ, you’ve got to be kidding me, after everything else that has happened, this is just what we need!” and to begin worrying about that progress in the black community being reversed.

Maybe that reaction attributes more power to the Nicki Minaj and her Twitter account than what she actually wields. But it’s been a long year-and-a-half of COVID, all of us just want this to be over, and anyone who is throwing roadblocks in the way of that happening is going to provoke intense frustration. Patience with the bullshit is running low.

If so, that seems like a bad plan. If I were her, I’d want to keep my head down and avoid the media entirely, rather than make myself into an even bigger public enemy, one people now hate for both dispensing idiotic medical advice AND being married to a certified thug.

Nicki may not know as much about nuts as nut-chopping Senator Joni Ernst, but they are both in the same league when it cones to spreading COVID disinformation.

Ernst claimed doctors had inflated the number of COVID deaths because they somehow profited from doing this. This is a hop, skip, and a jump away from saying COVID is “just the flu.”

    She’s pure, unadulterated Trump trash.

  25. Anti-vax = pro-covid.

The vaccine has deadly side effects if you don't take it.

My theory about Republican anti-vax, which equals pro-covid, is that the R Inner Party genuinely wants as many as possible to get sick. Not themselves; they themselves are all vaxxed; just those in the disposable Outer Party. The reasoning is that a 2% fatality rate is acceptable losses for a loyalty test; also that it desensitizes the disposable Outer Party to mass death. After all, it’s ‘only’ 2%! Next their fearless Leaders will ask for ‘merely’ 3%. Then ‘merely’ 4%. And so on.

What, I begrudge a mere 2% merely dead? Ain’t I tuff enuff? Ain’t I so stoic that I can be as cruel to others as I’m cruel to myself? (Which is the classic flaw of stoicism.)
Why am I so upset about only 675,000 dead? Am I some kind of conservative? In the non-Orwellian sense of the word?

Well, yes. I find that the D faction is now the (non-Orwellian) conservative faction, in the sense of conserving life, liberty, property, norms, decency, rights, rational discourse, and rule of law. Which in practice also conserves the system as it is. Meanwhile the R faction is for Revolution Now! To Hell with nit-picking process details! To Hell with namby-pamby girly values like compassion and restraint! Let the freak flag fly! Let the Confederate flag fly! Let the world burn!

When I was a teenage lad, I was arguing with my Dad, for we liked to argue. He scoffed, “Ahhh, you’ll become a conservative in your old age!” Stung to the quick, I retorted, “If so, then it’ll be on my own terms!” Looking back, I see that we were both prophetic. He knew me, and I knew me.

It's not that. They don't have a goal of mass death.

The GOP have doubled down on Covidiocy for two major reasons:

    1) Trump fucked up and they don't want to admit he fucked up.

Trump thought that lockdowns would tank the economy, and that a dive in the economy in an election year would make him unpopular enough to prevent his re-election. So his insane, sociopathic response was to just ignore COVID. He didn't shut down borders and travel into the country (ironically, since, prior to this, he was all about shutting the southern border for purely racist reasons). He didn't order lockdowns. He railed against Democratic governors frantically ordering lockdowns. He told everyone that COVID was just the flu and it would magically melt away.

Basically, he did absolutely everything wrong and the United States ended up with one of the highest per capita death rates in the world. We are at 670,000 deaths and counting.

To now admit that taking countermeasures against COVID is sensible and necessary, you have to admit that the Democrats were right about everything and Trump is a monumental, evil asshole and they voted for him. That's too painful, so lots of Republicans would rather remain in denial.

    2) COVID countermeasures go against the basic ethos of the Republican Party, which says that you can be the biggest, most selfish jerk you want to be, and you don't have any responsibility to your fellow American. That is their definition of "liberty": freedom to be a douche.

Some COVID-prevention restrictions are simply in one's self-interest and you should do them to preserve your own health. But some of them are sacrifices you are being demanded to make for the benefit of others. Your kid may be a healthy 12-year-old, who is relatively safe from COVID, but that kid needs to get vaccinated to benefit immunocompromised 70-year-olds. Or your business may have to make less money in order to put into place restrictions to reduce the spread of disease.

These people feel oppressed because for years, they've been listening to wingnut media figures and politicians who've told them that appalling, limitless, spoiled-brat selfishness is a fundamental human right, and suddenly they're being told no.

This is why you see awful people marching at protests wearing yellow star of David badges because they've convinced themselves that being forced to wear a mask is just like deportation to a concentration camp. Or that white teacher who decided to report to work in blackface because she's convinced herself that she's the "Rosa Parks of not having to get vaccinated."

It's hard to believe how delusional these folks are. It's not at all unfair to describe the Republican Party as a cult at this point.

  27. "Well, yes. I find that the D faction is now the (non-Orwellian) conservative faction, in the sense of conserving life, liberty, property, norms, decency, rights, rational discourse, and rule of law."

Yeah, ever since the goddamn Republicans gave up on governance, the Democrats have had to do their half of the running of the country.
Which is all kinds of fucked up because we are supposed to be the liberal party, so now we have the choice of acting against our own policy interests or letting the country go halfway to hell in a handbasket, and since we aren't the sociopathic party, we do what we have to to keep the country from being ruthlessly buggered.
But at least we CAN do it, because for all of our troubles, we still are a functional governing party. Not exclusively for the left, just for the sane.

I don't think that's the main problem. I don't see a lot of the Dems acting against their own policy interests -- except to the extent that they are not winning enough seats and have to depend on ultra-marginal Democrats like Joe Manchin (who is really a half-Democrat/half-Republican sort of creature), which really limits their ability to get anything meaningful done.

The real problem, as I see it, is that the Republican Party has abandoned democracy and rule of law. Trump doesn't care if he shreds the Constitution. Mitch McConnell doesn't care, either. So when Democrats act as though they expect bipartisan civility and pragmatic compromise from Republicans, they just end up getting punched in the face.

After you've been punched in the face enough times, bipartisan civility and pragmatic compromise start to look like a bad idea, and it seems like it's time to start kicking the other guy in the groin. So, essentially, you start doing all the crap Republicans are already accusing you of doing anyway, because what else is left? I'm not talking about ridiculous stuff like "weaponizing the IRS" or putting people in "woke re-education facilities" or whatever. But after Mitch McConnell did such a good job of rigging the Supreme Court for his party's benefit, if you ever do win enough control of Congress ... maybe you do have to rig the court in the opposite direction. So you pass a law to expand the Supreme Court to 15 members, and you fill all the extra six slots with Democrats and ignore the outraged screams of Republicans.

The thing is, though, if both sides are playing infinite hardball, and now neither side is standing up for democracy anymore, then how does democracy survive? And how do these escalating tactics not ultimately end in civil war?

In my opinion a second civil was is inevitable. The leaders of our country make a grave mistake after the end of the first civil war. Don't need to be, on this one. River blindness is caused by a parasitic worm. COVID is caused by a virus. They could not be less related. It's like comparing a giraffe to a Toyota Camry.

Well, the abandonment of Reconstruction certainly was a huge missed opportunity that we are all, to varying degrees, paying for today with unresolved racism and toxic political conflict driven by the states of the former Confederacy, which are still, frankly, totally dysfunctional.

I'm not sure if civil war is inevitable, but like I said, the path forward remains uncertain. I'm so tired of the Democrats having to be the grownups all the time, particularly when this results in lawless types like McConnell and Trump walking all over them and laughing their asses off. But if they stop acting like the grownups, then there are no grownups left and our political system crumbles. It's an ugly Catch-22.

  39. I don't think civil war will happen in America. Most Americans don't want to bet their lives on the vicious drivel being spewed by a loud, extreme minority, and corporate America needs customers and stability, so they won't be backing another civil war.
What America needs is for about a quarter of its population to grow the fuck up, but with the sheer volume of propaganda being consumed, I wouldn't bet on that happening any time soon.
Basically, a bunch of shitheads are being allowed to interfere with the rest of the population just living their lives, which is annoying as hell, but not the stuff of civil wars.

You have a literal authority figure giving EVIDENCE of what he declares, information that is censored off lamestream platforms, and you believe it's nonsense because it's hosted on Rumble?

Talk about living in an information bubble.  If anyone deserves to die of congestive heart failure from taking the not-vaxx, it's you.

  69. So now that a draft of the Cyber Ninja report on the Maricopa County vote tallies states that Biden won by more than 300 more votes than the official audit said he won by, Fergus is blaming it all on, wait for it, THE MEDIA.
See, there just HAS to be massive fraud, because promoting the idea of there being massive fraud has made Fergus more money than anything else he's ever done besides being born Fred Trump's son, and he kinda needs the cash right about now.

  81. Speaking of balls, Kayleigh McEnany, remember her? She used to be Fergus' press secretary or some such horse shit. She decided she had found some kind of scandalous bombshell and tweeted a graphic on Thursday showing a rise in murders in 2020 and blamed it on Joe Biden, who became president in 2021.
When someone pointed out that Fergus was the goddamn president in 2020, she deleted it.
This is a really prolific week for Republicans treading upon their own penises, or in her case, treading upon Fergus' penis.

    Yeah no I
would need proof what I mean
by that is I would need to see how
they did it. I'm just not going to take you're word for it
considering first of all if black people were able to do that all this
time than why do they keep making spears an not other diverse, variety
of weapons besides the spear and used a cows hide an turned it into a shield
not to mention a lot or most of them are and or were naked dancing around a fire
in grass skirts or the other way around a lot of them or most were naked. if they were
able to make busts, statues which they clearly didn't they wouldn't be living in huts
eating mud cookies, mosquito burgers an having famine also they would have been
able to built houses that are one, two, three or more stories high and a mansion to go
along with it. lets not forget if they are an or were able to do these things they will have
been able to build sky scrapers like you see every where in the world same goes for bridges
like the Manhattan bridge, Golden gate bridge but you don't. has anyone ever seen and all black
carpenters crew building a house or a mansion let alone both an all black construction crew building
sky scraper's, bridge's, infrastructure's, water pipe line system's, power plants yeah I don't think so
because if they were able to do all those things that I mentioned they wouldn't be complaining, grunting,
groaning, moaning, cherry picking, nit picking and blaming their actions, failures, issues on white people
an pulling the race card or any other card that is known, unknown to man for that matter and committing
black on black crimes, black on white crimes, black on yellow crimes, black on brown crimes
    nationally, internationally.
