Not that many, in fact. You couldn't have a global pandemic with Ebola because, while it has a terrible mortality rate, it's not very contagious.
The only reason it's proven such a problem in certain countries in Africa, where Ebola originated, is that these countries are very poor and have minimal health services to contain an outbreak. The ratio of doctors to citizens in a place like Liberia or Guinea is tiny.(Which remains a concern for their vulnerability to the current, much more contagious Covid-19 virus.)
Just for reference, Covid-19 is on the order of 10 times as deadly as a routine flu. Whereas Ebola is, like, 600 times as deadly as flu -- if infected, you are more likely to die than get better.
However, Ebola isn't airborne, while Covid-19 is.

Yes, I know all this. The mortality rate for Ebola hovers near 90 percent. I was only using that as an example of a more deadly virus. However, we do not know what more deadly new and/or more deadly old diseases may show up at any time. If the great genus, incompetent one is in charge, we will all be in big trouble.

So Russia and Saudi Arabia are supposedly fighting with each other over oil supply and pricing, but in reality Russia is using the opportunity of the coronavirus shock to drive oil prices down below US production costs, which are higher than Russian production costs because of fracking.
This will harm the US energy sector the way our sanctions are harming the Russian energy sector.
Lucky for us, our economy is more diverse than theirs and can operate even in a severe energy shock, at least for a while, while their economy, roughly the size of Spain's, is heavily reliant upon energy exports and will be similarly damaged by the lower oil prices.
