A strange sense of humor.

The folks on the right and their propaganda arm, FOX Views, sure have a strange sense of humor.

"On Fox News Sunday this morning, Fox News contributors George Will and Brit Hume mocked the #BringBackOurGirls campaign, a piece of Twitter activism intended to increase pressure on the Nigerian government and international community to more actively seek the return of over 200 kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls, arguing the campaign was intended solely to soothe the consciouses of those tweeting.

“I was not that familiar with this phenomenon,” host Chris Wallace said. “It’s even got a name: hash tag activism. Do you think that this is significant and helpful and can make progress, or do you think it’s really about helping the people who tweet the hash tag feel better about themselves?”

“It’s an exercise in self esteem,” Will said. “I do not know how adults stand there, facing a camera, and say ‘Bring back our girls.’ Are these barbarians in the wilds of Nigeria supposed to check their Twitter accounts and say, ‘Uh-oh, Michelle Obama is very cross with us, we better change our behavior?’”

It’s trending!” Hume yukked. “It’s trending on Twitter!” [Source]

Ha -ha -ha- ha.

If you are surprised that the FOX panel would make light of over 200 school girls being viciously kidnapped by Muslim extremist, you don't understand the mindset of the right.

To them, African girls are way down on the pecking order in terms of importance. They have two strikes against them: They are not Americans, and they are not white.

This is why they can make light of an attempt by social network activists to bring attention to a very serious tragedy playing itself out across the world and not concern themselves with the consequences.

The lives of these girls don't matter, only the lives of the Americans who perished at Benghazi do. (Although we all know that they really don't care about them, either. Just politics.) They were Americans. Their lives matter. Those girls, on the other hand, not so much.

Finally, a few words about Mother's Day.

Kevin Durant gave a moving speech while accepting his MVP trophy the other day. There was not a dry eye in the room, and when you listen to it you can understand why.

"Everybody told us we weren't supposed to be here. We moved from apartment to apartment by ourselves. One of the best memories I have is when we moved into our first apartment. No bed, no furniture, and we just all sat in the living room and hugged each other because we thought we made it.

"When something good happens to you, I don't know about you guys, but I tend to look back to what brought me here. You woke me up in the middle of the night in the summertimes. Making me run up a hill. Making me do push-ups. Screaming at me from the sidelines at my games at 8 or 9 years old.

"We weren't supposed to be here. You made us believe. You kept us off the street, put clothes on our backs, food on the table. When you didn't eat, you made sure we ate. You went to sleep hungry. You sacrificed for us. You're the real MVP."

I can't relate to Durant's speech on personal level, but I certainly can on a professional one.

I see lots of women just like his mother every day, and I honestly don't know how they do it.

Today is a good day to recognize those mothers. Let's not forget all the sacrifices that they make on a daily basis for their families.

Happy Mother's Day.

Jon, why did you do it?

I always wonder why folks who want to maintain even an ounce of credibility would agree to go on FOX NEWS. The latest is Jon Stewart, who did a sit down with Chris Wallace and ate him for lunch. The folks at FOX NEWS are still talking about it every chance they get. And Stewart can't stop talking about it because he believes that the FAKE NEWS folks edited the interview to make him look bad. Duh! IT'S FOX NEWS!

Anyway, Wallace went on The Dom Imus Show [Yes, that Dom Imus] to defend the way FOX handled the interview.

"Chris Wallace defended his interview with Jon Stewart--and denied that it was edited out of context.

The interview on "Fox News Sunday" caused a huge ruckus, and Stewart spent two days talking about it on his own show. Most notably, he claimed that Fox News, in editing his 24-minute appearance down to a 14-minute segment, had made him look emotionally unstable and had taken out key portions of the interview.

"Speaking to Don Imus on his Thursday radio show, Wallace said that he thought the conversation had gone well.

"He scored some points, I scored some points," he said. He added that Stewart was "somewhat in denial about the bias of his program and more importantly of the mainstream media, and I also think he lives in denial about his ambitions."
Imus asked about Stewart's charge that the segment was edited to make him look bad. "I think if he looked bad it was his fault," Wallace said, chuckling. "The reason that anybody has seen the full version is because we put it out. We weren't hiding anything ... quite frankly, Jon was filibustering ... and we had to cut it down."

The two also agreed about Stewart's mockery of Herman Cain. (Cain harshly criticized Stewart, saying that he was being mocked because he is a black conservative.

"Name one other white performer who could get away with that," Imus said." [Story]

I know Don, you would love nothing more than to be able to mock a black person, again.

So anyway, if Cain is pissed at the way Stewart criticized him, how does he feel about the most popular conservative comparing Obama to Hitler to millions of his listeners?

Let's see if Herman breaks away from the other black conservatives and condemns one of his white conservative brethren when they make offensive and outrageous comments......Ahh wait, who am I kidding? It will never happen. Jig Herman, jig.

WHY?

"O" man you are breaking my heart. Say it ain't so. Say you ain't appearing on FAKE NEWS SUNDAY with Chris Wallace. My god man has it gotten that bad with your campaign? I know that your campaign is a little bit in a panic mode after the Pistolvania primary.--- Chris Wallace himself said you wouldn't have gone on his show if you had won Pistolvania--- But selling out to the FAKE NEWS people is tough for me to take. It's the one thing that I really respected you for: the way you gave a big fuck you to the FAKE NEWS people. I loved the fact that Wallace had to resort to an Obama watch on his sorry ass show, and the fact that you were standing them up after you told them that you would appear.

But it's a wrap now, apparently you already taped the show from Indiana, and it will be on the NAZI NEWS NETWORK tomorrow. "Oh come on field, if the guy is willing to talk to the folks in Iran, why can't he talk to the people at FOX? " Because from where I sit I don't see any difference with the two. Well, there is one difference; one of them has more blonds.

But I give you credit "O" man, you must really be a special person to go on that network after all the shit they did to you. What you are doing would be the equivalent of a chicken giving the commencement address at a Popeye's graduation. I mean FOX NEWS? I guess you are thinking that it couldn't be worse than that hatchet job the ABC clowns did on you, so you are taking your chances. But FOX? This is getting to be a trend with some of these dumb ass dumbocrats. I saw where "fast Eddie" and the laughing man, Terry McAuliffe have all been praising FOX lately. Hell if I was in the Hillary camp I would be praising the FAKE NEWS NETWORK too. Which again "O" man, is why I can't see why you are going on with them....

Anyway, I am going to stop getting on you, I don't want Mrs Field reading this post and getting any more pissed off at me than she already is.
I think Chris Wallace was up to 765 days,13 hours,54 minutes, and 47 seconds on his countdown before you caved in. He said you promised to be on his show and he was holding you to it. I would have told him to hold his breath, and then I would have told my advisers not to take any calls from his FAKE NEWS ass. Because it's like this: maybe two or three of the people who listen to that show are going to vote for you anyway, so why bother?

But politics sure makes strange bedfellows. I mean one day this week we have Mr. Morton at the black ground zero, and a few days later there you are on the NAZI NEWS NETWORK. What a country.
