FOX has a Negro problem, and Sheriff Clarke has an inmate problem.

  It looks like more trouble for FOX VIEWS. Some African American litigants are stating that allegedly FOX fostered a culture in that news organization that was not only misogynist, but it was racist as well.

The treatment and alleged sexual harassment of women is well documented, but now a group of African American employees are giving us an insight into how they treated their African American employees who toiled on the FOX plantation.

 "Fox News scourge Gabriel Sherman is now reporting that a racial discrimination lawsuit will be filed by seven African American employees this week. The suit alleges that employees of color were forced to arm wrestle for the entertainment of white employees. Sherman appeared on yesterday’s AM Joy on MSNBC to chat about the latest details in the case.

'I obtained a letter from their attorneys that was sent to Fox that described really horrific acts of racial discrimination in which black employees were forced to arm wrestle for the entertainment of white employees in the accounting department,' he said.

 

He added that this sort of information proves that the culture of Fox is entrenched and cannot be changed with O’Reilly’s ouster alone.

'This is a systemic problem at Fox News that was created by Roger Ailes over two decades,' said Sherman. Back in March, Fox was slapped with a different racial discrimination lawsuit..." [Source]

I am still not sure how a person of color with a conscience could work for FOX, but if what is alleged is true, they will deserve every penny that FOX has to pay to settle the suit.

Speaking of trouble, that fraud masquerading as a sheriff in Milwaukee's just might have some splaining to do.

 "A mentally ill man who last year died of severe dehydration in a jail run by Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke was kept in his cell for seven days straight after jail employees cut off his water supply, a prosecutor in Wisconsin said Monday.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that prosecutors told a six-person jury on Monday that cutting off water to Terrill Thomas’ cell was “highly irregular and contrary to standard operating procedure in the jail.” The comments came as part of an inquest into Thomas’ death, in which the jury decides whether there’s probable cause to charge anyone with a crime in Thomas’ death.

Assistant District Attorney Kurt Benkley told jurors that it “became apparent” that Thomas “was unable to tell people about his basic needs,” according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The jury is considering whether there is probable cause to charge any jail officials with abuse of a prisoner.
In a court filing last month, the district attorney argued that abusing, neglecting, or ill-treating a prisoner is a public welfare offense.

“Inmates are at the mercy of their jailors for basic life-sustaining necessities like water, food, and medical care,” the district attorney wrote in a court filing. “When a mentally ill inmate, like Mr. Thomas, is locked in solitary confinement without access to water, his life is totally in his jailors’ hands. The law much strictly require jailors to safeguard lives which are so completely entrusted to their care. Stupidity, thoughtlessness, indifference, and incompetence are not morally sufficient excuses nor valid legal defenses.”

Thomas’ death was included in The Huffington Post’s investigative project examining jail deaths across the United States in the year after the high-profile death of Sandra Bland in police custody in 2015. 

of President Donald Trump who makes frequent appearances on conservative news outlets, appears to take a hands-off approach to managing the jail he’s charged with running and has deflected blame for the deaths that occurred on his watch. The Justice Department had been considering launching a civil rights investigation into the conditions at the Milwaukee County Jail, but the status of that potential investigation is unclear.

Erik J. Heipt, an attorney for Thomas’ family, noted that Monday was the one-year anniversary of his “senseless” death." [Source]

Sheriff Clarke would have been better off paying more attention to his jail instead of running around the country trying to score Brownie points with right-wingnuts by being their token black guy who isn't afraid to tell it like it is to "those other Negroes".

The thing is about Negroes like David Clarke is this: Their star will shine for a little while, but sooner or later they will crash and burn. Because that's what these types of Negroes do. They just can't help themselves.

This just in: Roger Ailes will apparently be helping Donald trump prep for the upcoming debates with Hillary. Those two guys really deserve each other. They honestly seem to have a lot in common.

But I wonder what he will teach him about debating Hillary? How to chase her around the podium? I mean for a guy who is supposedly seeking the female vote, choosing to team up with an alleged sexual harasser is not a good look.

Speaking of FOX, they  have dedicated close to zero coverage about Roger and the despotic culture that he created over there. I guess they would  have to be an actual news organization to report the news no matter where it leads.  

They are so in the tank for trump over there, that you have to actually feel sorry for them. They don't even hide their fear of trump losing and the hated Hillary becoming president anymore.

Their hosts are even hoping for a very sad and strange "October surprise."   

"During the Fox News show "The Five" on Aug. 16, co-host Jesse Watters told the panel that a terror attack in October would help Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump (video below).

According to Mediaite.com, the panel was discussing Trump's low polling among younger voters and how he could improve it.

And if there’s one more terror attack, maybe in October, this is going to make Trump’s plan look a lot more appealing," Watters stated.

Co-host Juan Williams responded: "Oh my god, what wishful thinking. Anti-American. That’s unbelievable."

"Why would you say that that’s what I’m thinking, Juan?" Watters replied. "How dare you? ... How dare you?"

Watters insisted that he was doing "political analysis," which Williams said he took as "desperation."

"No, I know about October surprises," Watters insisted." [Source]

Sure you do Jesse, and you would love nothing more than a big one to change the tide of  this election. No matter what type of "surprise" it is.

Gretchen takes down Roger.

     So Roger Ailes, the Jabba the Hutt look alike who created FOX NEWS into a money making right-wingnut echo-chamber, is stepping down.  The alleged serial sexual harasser was, in the end, brought down by one of the blondes that he liked to trot out (skirt raised) for his melanin challenged  AARP and octogenarian viewers to see.

I hate to give Gretchen Carlson a profile in courage award, because for years she went along to get along while she cashed the checks. That is, of course, until FOX ( and Roger) thought that it was time for her to move on.

But it takes all kinds. I guess it's better late than never. I suspect that the only people who will miss Ailes are the men and the blondes with no talent over at FOX.

The irony in all this, of course, is that Aisles is stepping down on the night that the FOX NEWS created candidate- who leads what was formerly the republican party (now known as the American Nationalist Party) is going to give his coronation speech and reintroduce himself to the American people.

The Donald has had quite a ride, and he has FOX (and the FOX light folks in the main stream media) to thank for it. Ailes figured it was best to blow up the republican party and give the FOX viewers what they really want: Someone who shares their fears and their prejudices and who is unapologetic about his bigotry. The republicans were better than the democrats, but the "establishment republicans" just didn't get it. These new republicans  wanted a revolution in Washington and they wanted the bums thrown out. It was a revolution, by the way, that took hold in their minds after the election of the first president of color.

Now they can see a little light at the end of the tunnel, the orange haired one just might win this thing. A trump presidency with a sympathetic FOX News working their propaganda magic on the American people. Wet dreams all around.

Sadly for Roger, he might not be around to enjoy it.

The #BlackLivesMatter bogeyman.

It has been interesting to watch the attempt by some to demonize the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

What is it about those three words that cause such vitriol and rancor among some of those in the majority population? Why is it such a problem for black folks to affirm that black lives matter?  "Hate group"? You can't be serious.

Over at FOX VIEWS Roger Ailes has  already sent out the memo to his various hosts that the #BlackLivesMatter movement is the new bogeyman.  It is the topic of the moment to guarantee ratings and rally like minded individuals to a cause of fear and ignorance.

Two of their biggest stars have already started. Megyn (Santa is white) Kelly was crying double standard, and Bill O"Reilly  has vowed to put  the #BlackLivesMatter  folks out of business, because in his mind they are responsible for all the cop killings of late. (BTW, police killings have actually been down since President Obama took office.)

This hysteria from the fear the black bogeyman movement is all quite laughable.

 We have had 240 years of being reminded that white lives matter and that without white lives there would be no America. There is nothing hateful or radical about reminding us all the black lives matter as well. It's not like black folks are saying black lives matter more than any other lives. They are simply saying that black lives matter along with all the other lives. And yes, we get it, black folks are taking black lives as well, and we as black folks should also be made aware of the importance of black lives.

But if you don't see why black folks have to remind everyone that black lives matter with all that has been happening of late, well then you should hurry over to your television set and turn on FOX VIEWS. Bill O'Reilly will be on soon.

The cable news scam and some random other thoughts.

In American politics hypocrisy rules the day. Of course we all know that. How you feel about a certain subject depends on which political gang you belong to.


Political trolls come out of the wood work when their party is under attack and they make no bones about their ideological loyalty. "Benghazi!". Scream.Spittle. Drool.


Jeff Zucker, the head man over at CNN, is under attack for telling the truth about Fox News and the fact that they are nothing but a propaganda arm of the republican party. I am not sure I understand why. It's a business model ---and a successful one--- that they (Fox) have adopted and should embrace. My only problem with it is that they pretend to be "fair and balanced" when Stevie Wonder can see that they are not.


Of course MSNBC has a similar business model, but they are the left wing version of FOX. One could argue that they are the propaganda arm of the Democratic party as well. Unlike Fox, however, they seem to embrace the label and the pretense of providing real balanced news coverage is just not there.


Speaking of Zucker, I know that he wants to claim that his network is a right down the middle news organization, but I have to question that. He seems to have a lot of people on his network who can't wait to cash one of those Roger Ailes checks (I see you Don Lemon and Jake Tapper), and when I hear him talk all I hear is jealousy of Fox's ratings.


Oh well, hopefully a day will come when all of these phony cable networks become irrelevant and we the people will get  our news from talking to each other (I love twitter) and going directly to the source.

Roger the comedian and Charlie has a Negro problem.

It's hard to cut and paste this next article because I am laughing so hard. But I am going to give it a try.

"Fox News President Roger Ailes spoke to TVNewser about the network’s election night coverage on Friday — also going on to elaborate on their self-proclaimed “fair and balanced” approach. While no one seems to agree with him, Ailes said, the network has “no agenda.”

Asked how the next four years will play out, Ailes told TVNewser, “It’s day-to-day for us.”

“We don’t — I know no one believes it — we have no agenda,” he added. “If he (Obama) runs into a burning building tomorrow and saves four kids, he’s gonna be the biggest goddamn hero Fox News ever saw. But if he leaves four guys behind on the battlefield but can’t explain it, then he’s gonna have a problem with Fox News.”

“I don’t mind praising the guy, and I don’t mind questioning the guy,” Ailes said. “It’s day to day.”

Doubtlessly, many are bound to disagree.

" But if he leaves four guys behind on the battlefield but can’t explain it, then he’s gonna have a problem with Fox News.” Hmmm, I wonder why W didn't "have a problem with Fox News". 

I really want to give Fox the benefit of the doubt when I see stories like this, but we all know the real deal about Roger and company. Fox is not a real news organization. Fox is to the left what MSNBC is to the right: a news station to be avoided at all costs. 

Finally, speaking of Fox News, their number one anchor seems to have a problem with how we vote here in Philly.

"Bill O’Reilly brought on Megyn Kelly tonight to react to the surprising news that Mitt Romney received zero votes at fifty-nine Philadelphia voting divisions (about three percent of its total divisions) in last week’s election. O’Reilly found it… odd, to say the least.

O’Reilly said Romney should have gotten at least one or two, but Kelly explained the same thing happened to John McCain four years ago. Kelly disputed the idea that any “shenanigans” were going on, saying that the divisions with the unanimous Obama votes have large black, inner-city populations.

O’Reilly said the odds are just too high to imagine this being mere circumstance, but Kelly continued to insist that there was nothing particularly odd about that. She pointed to precincts in Utah that ended up having unanimous Romney support, even though there were only a few dozen voters in that instance." [Source]

Unfortunately for Bill he doesn't seem to get out much. There is nothing unusual about a ward in Philly going almost 100% D. If wingnuts weren't so caught up in listening to winngut radio and watching Fox News in the run up to the election, they would have realized that Philly got 600,000 votes for O back in 2008, and that the the dems were mobilizing hard on the ground here.

As for that story from Maine, I am not going to touch this one. I personally don't know any black folks in Maine, (shout out to my favorite Maine blogger) so when Charlie Webster says that you black folks were cheating because he saw black votes from rural Maine I have to just leave it alone.

"Maine Republican Party chairman Charlie Webster is doubling down on his suggestion that there were "improprieties" at the Maine polls last week, insisting he received complaints from candidates in small towns across the state that "new people came to vote" and "I believe that that's questionable."
 
Webster has been the source of some controversy after suggesting in an interview with WCSH-TV this week that "In some parts of rural Maine, there were dozens, dozens of black people who came in and voted on Election Day."
 
"Everybody has a right to vote, but nobody in [these] towns knows anyone who's black," Webster told WCSH-TV's Don Carrigan. "How did that happen? I don't know. We're going to find out."
 
Reached on his cell phone by CBSNews.com, Webster refused to provide details regarding the specific towns in question, the number of "new" voters to whom he was referring, or the percentage of those people who were African-American. Megan Sanborn, a spokesperson for Secretary of State Charlie Summers, told CBSNews.com the office had not received any complaints or accusations of voter fraud from the past election, and that there had been no noticeable uptick in African-American turnout in the state."  [Source]

Hey remember that old Eddie Murphy skit where he did a bit on what it would be like if we had a black president? In it, Murphy pretended he was dodging bullets while he talked to the American people. It was funny then, but it ain't so funny now that we really do have a black president. I am quite sure that his O -ness knew that it wouldn't be easy. I bet he picked his Secret Service detail himself. (That was a joke)But seriously, the guys in the Secret Service had to have been shaking their heads when he won, because I am sure that they knew they would be working overtime. (30 death threats a day?!)

Still, this is not new for A-merry-can presidents; all presidents get threats. What is new, is that this president's life was threatened while the person making the threat was speaking to a member of someone in the opposition party, and that the elected official simply laughed it off.

"Who is going to shoot Obama?" an unidentified person in the audience asked Broun. The question elicited a "big laugh," according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

Rather than confront the question head-on, Broun responded by changing the subject to health care: "The thing is, I know there's a lot of frustration with this president. We're going to have an election next year. Hopefully, we'll elect somebody that's going to be a conservative, limited-government president that will take a smaller, who will sign a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare." [Story]

Mr. Broun didn't "confront the question head-on" because he is a gutless coward. And he would rather keep that deranged wingnut voter in his camp than do the right thing and tell the man that he is a dangerous lunatic, and the type of language and rhetoric he was using would not be tolerated in his presence.

But this is nothing new for Broun. He is a man, after all, who really believes that the president is a Socialist. Is it any wonder that his constituents are as crazy as he is? I wonder if all you Negroes moving to Atlanta realize just how crazy the folks are in that state? Criminalizing miscarriages?! Are you serious? Yes, it's Georgia, I think you are.

Finally, we all know that Roger Ailes is a partisan hack and a scumbag, but now it seems that he might be something worse: Someone who encourages others to break the law.

Turns out Ailes allegedly told Judith Reagan to lie to the feds about her affair with the former New York police commissioner- and convicted felon- Bernard Kerick. Why? Because news of the affair would have embarrassed his buddy, Rudy Giuliani, who was running for president at the time. I guess the 10 million plus that FOX paid her to go away wasn't enough because girlfriend is still talking. [Source]

Murdoch money can bury a lot of things. It has been doing a great job of burying the truth for years. All it takes is a long legged blonde reading the news with her skirt hiked up, slick graphics, and some sensational [over the top] reporting laced with fear.

I think we can all agree (well most of us) that the environment over at Radio Rwanda is inimical to black folks. But has anyone ever wondered about the provenance of this philosophy? Well, if you have, wonder no more, because with the help of my friends over at Media Matters I am about to show you:

"Under its president, Roger Ailes, Fox News routinely employs racially charged appeals to foment opposition to the Obama administration and other progressive figures, such as Glenn Beck's comments that President Obama is a "racist" and "has a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture." Before launching the Fox News Channel, Ailes worked as a media consultant for several Republican campaigns where evidence shows he similarly appealed to racial fears and biases for political gain, and as executive producer for Rush Limbaugh's television show, during which Limbaugh made several controversial statements.

Ailes' political and media history is littered with race-based appeals
As Nixon campaign consultant, Ailes reportedly looked for a "Wallaceite cab-driver" to bring up race at televised town hall meetings. As media consultant for Richard Nixon's 1968 campaign, Ailes directed televised town hall meetings in which Nixon answered questions from a supportive audience. According to Rick Pearlstein, Ailes suggested Nixon take a question from "A good, mean, Wallaceite cab-driver. Wouldn't that be great? Some guy to sit there and say, 'Awright, Mac, what about these niggers?" Pearlstein wrote, "Nixon then could abhor the uncivility of the words, while endorsing a 'moderate' version of the opinion. Ailes walked up and down a nearby taxi stand until he found a cabbie who fit the bill."

Ailes on 1988 strategy against Dukakis: "The only question is whether we depict Wille Horton with a knife in his hand or without it." Ailes was credited, along with Lee Atwater, with helping George H.W. Bush come from behind to beat Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis in the 1988 presidential election. Part of that winning strategy included portraying Dukakis as "soft on crime" and connecting him with convicted felon Willie Horton. Horton committed assault, armed robbery, and rape in Maryland during a weekend furlough -- a program granting temporary release to prisoners that Dukakis supported but was created under the previous governor. While the Bush campaign did not produce the Horton ad that was widely criticized as "racist," Ailes did produce the "Revolving Door" ad that similarly attacked Dukakis for the furlough program. The campaign also created "The Risk," a negative ad that referenced "a furlough escapee" who "terrorized a Maryland couple." Ailes has been quoted as saying, "The only question is whether we depict Willie Horton with a knife in his hand or without it."

Ailes' 1989 attacks on Dinkins for Giuliani "prey[ed] upon the fears of the Jewish community." As media consultant for Rudy Giuliani's first mayoral campaign, Ailes placed an ad in a prominent Yiddish Newspaper, The Algemeiner Journal, that featured an image of Guiliani's opponent David Dinkins -- who would become New York City's first African-American mayor -- alongside Jesse Jackson. The ad also displayed a photo of Giuliani with President George H.W. Bush, and the headline stated, ''Let the people of New York choose their own destiny" [New York Times, 9/30/1989]. Howard Kurtz reported that "Ira Silverman, vice president of the American Jewish Committee, said the Giuliani ad seemed a 'legitimate campaign tactic,' but said that he found it 'troubling' because it 'preys upon the fears of the Jewish community' " [Washington Post, 9/29/1989]. National Public Radio has further reported: "Giuliani also tagged Dinkins as a 'Jesse Jackson Democrat.' That was an appeal to the city's large contingent of Jewish voters, who had despised Jackson ever since he used an anti-Semitic epithet to describe New York City. In this context, Giuliani's signature issue of crime took on racial overtones, says political consultant Norman Adler." One of Giuliani's ads featured a New Yorker stating, "I'm tired of living in New York and being scared." From a November 4, 1989, New York Times article:.."

Sadly, Ailes is still using the "what about these niggers" strategy. It's just that now it's focused on the office of the president.

The people who come to this site on a regular basis are quite familiar with my strong dislike for all things FOX NEWS. My contempt for them has nothing to do with jealousy towards Rupert Murdoch and all his billions (although it would be nice if he throw a dollar or two my way). No, my contempt for them has more to do with my love for the people who make up this republic.

FOX NEWS is dangerous. Very dangerous, and if we can't stop them, we should at least be aware of the damage that they can do.

If you think that the mass media and the press can't be used to do unimaginable things, you better think again. Think of the folks who made up the Hutu majority slaughtering their Tutsi brothers and sisters in Rwanda while RTLM (Radio Rwanda) encouraged people to kill,kill, kill.

Think of Joseph Goebbels in Nazi Germany and the "Propagnamisterium" (propaganda ministry) he was charged to keep. In order for those sick fucks to be able to carry out their plan, they had to get the message out and have the people believe it.

Now I am not comparing Roger Ailes and the folks over at FOX NEWS to Nazis.....well, maybe I am. But I really do need you to understand just how dangerous these guys are. And when I read essays like the one I lifted below from Buzzflash editor, Mark Karlin, it just reinforces my position.

If you think being a chronic loser is patriotic, then FOX is the station for you, because that's what it backs. That's not patriotic; it's contrary to what made America great.
What made America great is competence and ingenuity, not slavish dedication to the architects of defeat.

FOX is a traitor in our midst. Yes, they have their First Amendment rights, and no one is going to deny Sean Hannity his $40,000 plus speaking fees and private jet transportation.
But they should be shunned for the risk they help to create to all our lives by endlessly championing dolts, proven liars, and leaders who turn gold into cow dung.

All FOX proves in its propaganda angle is that a few thousand hearty potential terrorists, at most, have held the world's strongest power at bay for years, while ruining our economy with onerous and ineffectual war expenses, helping to weaken the dollar, drive up the price of oil, and, in turn, helping to cause a world food crisis and more.

It used to be the American way that if you couldn't do the job, you got out of the way or got fired. But the fat paycheck propagandists at FOX now tell us that mediocrity and failure define the new American patriotism -- that and an American flag lapel pin made in China.
God have mercy on their souls -- and let's hope that we can survive the glorification that FOX gives to losers who imperil our lives.

We need an America that proves itself by getting the job done; not by relying on Roger Ailes GOP propaganda talking points to divert the masses from people who have utterly failed them. "

Fox News Doesn't Care About Black Children!

I swear I wanted to post about half and half man again tonight, but I just don't know what to say about that brotha. I really do want to give him a chance, especially since some brothers have been slamming his ass on the their blogs lately. I don't mind some of his Harold Fordesque moves , or even him moving away from his church after the FAKE NOISE NETWORK tried to call them separatist. What I do have a problem with, is his wimpy ass move to let that penguin looking mother f***r, Roger Ailes, make fun of his name and get away with it. That sh** is inexcusable, and letting that ass hole off the hook for his comments makes him lose serious (pardon the reference here) " browny points" in my book.

So no real Obama post for me again tonight. But I do want to talk about the aforementioned FAKE NOISE NETWORK again. Yeah those mother f*****s have been on my mind lately. Maybe it's because every time I go to my local Donkin Donuts, or my gym they have that sh** on the television, so I can't help but have them in my world, and that pisses me off.

So anyway, Bill O-Lie-ly blamed the tragic death of those young Mali immigrants in the Bronx recently on illegal immigration. Can you believe that sh**? These poor innocent children lost their lives in a tragic house fire, and this cretin uses their death to push his phony ass illegal immigration agenda! How much more of this sh** should normal people stand for? I guarantee you if those were nine little white kids from Long Island his phony ass would dedicate an entire show to raising funds for their funeral. But no, they were brown children, and they were immigrants, so the first thing that comes out of his mouth, is that there is an illegal immigration problem in New York. "New York is one of these sanctuary cities" Huh? What the f**k does that have to do with ten dead people from a house fire? Memo to Mr. O- Lie-ly, citizens die from house fires every f*****g day in this country! Just days after the Bronx fire, four people died in Chicago from a house fire, and right here in Philly we have had seven house fire deaths and counting this year alone. And I guarantee you they weren't immigrants.

When I go on these rants about the likes of Bill O-Lie-ly and the FAKE NOISE NETWORK, I hope people realize why. Especially black people. Because like it or not, Fox is the number one cable news network in America, and O-Lie-ly has the number one show. Don't for a minute think that his constant marginalization of black people, and his lack of empathy for a black child's life is an accident. Think about that for a minute and let it sink in............did you think about it? Good! So now you know why it's important to call these mother f*****s on their bull sh** . Because between their news chief making fun of a leading black Presidential candidates name, and one of their leading pundits smearing the black church, makes them in my book, just slightly above those old Nazi propaganda machines. (Just slightly) So to the field, they are disgusting despicable human beings.

Bil O-Lie-ly said that people on the left "hate Fox News", and you know what Bill, I don't know about the people on the left, but I hate every one of you mother f*****s; from your thief of an owner, to those house Negroes, bimbos,and racist mother f*****g pundits on your station. Yep, I hate you all. And I will only hate you a little less when you get the f**k out of my Dunkin Donuts and out of my gym.
