Et tu, Jeb? Man having the crazy outspoken Donald Trump in the republican field has really led some otherwise "normal" politicians to say some crazy things.

"Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush warned America is “creeping toward multiculturalism” during a campaign stop Tuesday, and said he worries about areas where the assimilation process is “retarded.”

In response to a young woman’s question about how to empower immigrants as Americans, Bush said at an event at a Cedar Falls, Iowa diner that multiculturalism should not be the goal.

“We should not have a multicultural society,” Bush said. “When you create pockets of isolation, and in some cases, the assimilation process has been retarded, it’s wrong. It limits people’s aspirations.”
He said Americans’ national identity is defined by the “set of values that people share,” rather than race. Bush also said learning English is an important part of the assimilation process." [Source]

But...but....isn't Jeb's wife Hispanic? It's going to be very cold in the Bush household tonight.
Jeb, you might want to get comfortable with the guest room, or worse, the sofa.

And, speaking of Donald Trump, the following article from the Huffington Post says that it might be time to stick a fork in him.

"There comes a moment in the political life of every big-personality, more-sizzle-than-steak candidate when they step across the line of legitimacy, or illegitimacy (depending on your perspective), even for media addicted to the high ratings these candidate-entertainers provide. That moment for Sarah Palin was her Katie Couric interview in 2008 -- the hockey-mom-has-no-clothes revealing from which she, and the McCain campaign, never recovered. In Donald Trump's candidacy -- which The Huffington Post is appropriately covering in our Entertainment section -- the equivalent moment might have just happened.

It was not the moment in the second Republican debate when Carly Fiorina carved him up like an Easter ham with her withering "I think women all over this country heard very clearly what Mr. Trump said" zinger. That drew blood (as did the dramatic 12 seconds she remained silent after her response), but it wasn't fatal. Just kidding. That was actually what John McCain -- the one Trump said is "not a war hero" -- said to a woman at a campaign rally in 2008 who claimed that President Obama was an Arab. What Trump really said was, well, pretty much nothing: "We are going to be looking at a lot of different things and, you know, a lot of people are saying that."

There are few things as absolute in damning a candidate as a refusal to acknowledge simple reality -- especially a candidate who says he'll be tough with our enemies but refuses to even stand up to his own supporters. Refusing to acknowledge that Obama was born in this country is the equivalent of refusing to say that the earth is round. Even Trump's own supporters are embarrassed. Mark Cuban on Real Time with Bill Maher last Friday had to scramble for cover by categorically stating that the candidate he's supporting for president "is not gonna win. He's got no chance... none."

So when will the media be embarrassed enough to refuse to continue to give Trump the large megaphone they are giving him? Not because he's the front-runner -- come on, let's stop pretending that's the reason -- but because of the ratings he fuels as the entertainer he undoubtedly is.

As Sarah Palin demonstrated, even the ratings-crazed media are capable of falling out of love with a big-ratings stunt candidate. With Trump, you can already see it happening. The cracks are beginning to show. And when the media fall out of love they fall out of love very quickly." [Source]

Hmmm, methinks this is wishful thinking on Arianna Huffington's part. I just checked the latest Iowa polls, and Trump is still leading the field, comfortably.  

So the crazy train just keeps on running, and everyone seems to be on board.

Sarah is "bright" but Susan is not?

I am going to have to hurry with this post, because I have a date on the Boardwalk ,tonight.

Anyway, I was following the saga of this brother down in B-More via twitter and The Baltimore Spectator,-this social media stuff is no joke- and I realized that you can make a cause celebre out of damn near anything these days. Still, I wish the brotha luck with his situation. I really hope that he didn't break any laws. (Always watch out for those warrants)

I still can't get over the fact that a guy who picked Sarah Palin to be his running mate said that Susan Rice "isn't very bright". (Sorry Kirsten, Toure was right and you were wrong.)

First, let's take a look at her pedigree:

Father is an economics professor at Cornell, and he is a former governor of the Federal Reserve System.

Her mother is a guest scholar at the Brookings institute.

Now to Rice herself:

Class valedictorian and class president at a very prestigious prep school in D.C.

A Harry S. Truman scholar at Stanford University where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.

A Rhodes Scholarship and Master's and Doctorate degrees in International Studies from the University of Oxford...there is more, but I think you get the picture.

Sarah Palin, on the other hand, well she works over at FOX NEWS these days.

Finally, former congressman, Allen West, is actually comparing himself to Honest Abe.

"GOP House Representative Allen West (R-FL) told NPR’s Michel Martin Friday that his recent defeat won’t deter him, because, after all, “Abraham Lincoln only served one term in Congress, too.”

FieldLeaks....

Sorry, nothing to leak. Although I know plenty. Still, my profession and actual line of work does not allow me to reveal things that I have heard or know about my clients or people I come in contact with while working my 9-5. There are things that I will take to my grave that could have made me a wealthy man while I was alive. (What are they paying for great movie scripts these days?)

Anyway, A-merry-ca is being gripped by Wikimania, all because some state department employee (or employees) decided to do like Diana Ross and sing to Julian Assange .(To some, the worst Australian since....well, that other bad Australian, Uncle Rupert.) Now his O ness and his peeps are threatening lawsuits and criminal action because of the nature of some of the leaks. I guess it's not cool to embarrass diplomats. Apparently they talk about each other in very unflattering ways, and it's going to make it that much harder to solve the world's problems when they meet face to face.

Honestly, I have yet to make up my mind about this whole Wiki Leaks thing. I want an open government, and I want hard nosed aggressive journalist doing their job, but I also understand the issue of national security; as well as the need to keep certain things from the public. I am just not sure where we are with these latest leaks.

Of course, right on cue with their nuttiness; here comes the wingnuts:

"Long Island Congressman Peter King took his condemnation even further and urged that WikiLeaks be declared a “foreign terrorist organization,” putting it in the same arena as al-Qaida. The Republican also wants WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange prosecuted under the Espionage Act. “They are engaged in terrorist activity. What they’re doing is clearly aiding and abetting terrorist groups,” King, the incoming chair of the House Homeland Security Committee, told MyFox New York."

They always make it so easy for me to choose sides these wingnuts. (Did O'Reilly really call for Assange's execution? Yes, I think he did.)

Oh wait, and let's not forget to politicize this latest scandal. We can never let the chance to take a shot at his O ness go to waste:

"Sarah Palin blasted out a dispatch to her Facebook supporters Monday, taking aim at the Obama administration's handling of the latest WikiLeaks document drop and criticizing the White House's "incompetent handling of this whole fiasco." The former Alaska governor also seemingly encouraged the hunting of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange with "the same urgency we pursue al Qaeda and Taliban leaders."

In her Facebook post, Palin questions the timing of Obama's recent steps to try to patch intelligence holes that have allowed repeated leaks of classified information:
The White House has now issued orders to federal departments and agencies asking them to take immediate steps to ensure that no more leaks like this happen again. It's of course important that we do all we can to prevent similar massive document leaks in the future. But why did the White House not publish these orders after the first leak back in July? What explains this strange lack of urgency on their part?

Palin also takes a shot at the failure to capture or stop Assange, an ineffectiveness that she appears to characterize as a lack of effort or caring by the Obama administration:"

Yes, we must get our priorities right. We have yet to capture OBL, but we must capture the founder of WikiLeaks.

OK, the Hall & Oates ode to my girl Sarah is a bit much. But I swear that I don't ever want her to leave the national stage. She is the gift that keeps giving to us bloggers.

So let me get this straight; just hours after ripping his O ness a new one for using a teleprompter to give his speeches (BTW, the fake cowboy from California used a pretty mean teleprompter as well) girlfriend resorts to something we all used to do in grade school (at least I did) she had an au natural cheat sheet going on in her hand. Yep, girlfriend, instead of a very public teleprompter, opted for her very private palm......(Sorry, I was thinking about something else there for a minute.) So anywhooo, Ms. Thing felt the need to take a peek at her palm a few times after taking questions from a very friendly audience. Apparently she had some things written down in there that kept slipping her mind: “energy” “tax cuts” (with “budget” in front of cuts crossed out) and “lift American spirits.” Nice. This adds new meaning to the term palm reader.

Oh field stop it, it wasn't like she wrote an entire speech in her palm. What's wrong with taking a quick look every now and then to get her thoughts together? Well, it wasn't such a quick look, and the questions were screened in advance. Oh field, you are so picky. You just don't like Sarah because she is a conservative. No, what I don't like are hypocrites, regardless of their political stripes. Sarah just happens to be at the head of the hypocrite class in A-merry-ca right now.

Still, here is hoping that she sticks around. And as long as there are suckers willing to pay her $100,000.00 to hear the piffle flowing from her mouth, I am guessing that Sarah will be smiling out of that glass house at us for years to come.

How dare you throw tomatoes at Sarah Palin? This woman is the heart and soul of the republican party (not to mention its most important spokesperson) and you people disrespect her growing legacy by throwing tomatoes at her? I say tomatoe[s] because that joker threw two...

Stop laughing field Negro, what if this had been the president? You liberals would be screaming bloody murder about racism and the president not being safe. This was no laughing matter. What if those tomatoes were poisoned with some kind of deadly venom? What if those were grenades instead of tomatoes? But you lefties are such hypocrites-not to mention bad throwers-. You tried this crap with Ann Coulter; and you tried this stuff with Michael Steele, throwing Oreo cookies at him. (Well...that story might not be true. Whatever! ) And one of your Iraqi friends even tried it with our last president. Throwing things at people you don't agree with politically has got to stop. It is not civil, and it is dangerous. Sometimes you people even get tired of throwing things and just beat your political opponents. How do you explain that one field Negro? Ahhh Passion?

Is Sarah's book tour taking her to Philly? I would love to volunteer my time to help protect her. Just to insure that nothing is ever thrown her way again. You never know; there might be another Jeremy Paul Olsen out there.

Does sacrifice only come from Pro American places?

Sarah Palin only likes to visit places where they love A-merry-ca. Places that are "Pro-American". I wonder what and where those places are? I always thought that most A-merry-cans love America. Even if they live in left leaning blue places like San Fransisco and Boston. But I am pretty sure I know what Sarah means when she says that; I am pretty sure I know who she really thinks loves A-merry-ca. Yep, the same folks the O man talked about who love their guns, their religion, and their small town way of life. Isolated. A very homogeneous existence far away from "dem dere" big cities and all those nig....ahhh, people.

I bet Sarah wouldn't consider Philly one of those A-merry-ca first places she likes to visit (Thank you for dropping the puck at the Flyers game Sarah, they haven't won a fucking game since). Too many of us here. And too many of those damn secular, progressive, liberals. As you may or may not know, liberals, and people who don't believe in jesus, are not A-merry-can.

But I wonder what Sarah would say to Jean Feggins; a woman who lost her son in Iraq, and a woman who had to suffer the further indignity of her own government covering up her son's death.

Her son's name wasn't Pat Tillman, so you have probably never heard of him. But what happened to another brave patriotic young man, PFC Albert Markee Nelson (Yes Sarah even though he is from Philly, and probably would have voted for Barack Obama, he was a patriot) is worth knowing about as well, and if you don't know about him, you should take the time to find out. Because while he might not have been a big time pro football player, his story is just as sad and compelling.

Sarah has a son in Iraq too, but his service counts for more, because he is from a place where they love A-merry-ca, and his parents aren't bleeding heart liberals. Ain't that right Sarah?

Ms. Feggins, sorry for your loss. I am sure Sarah would tell you herself, but she is a little busy right now, reaching out to the people who really love their country, and whose children's sacrifice really matter.
