MY PICKS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DID THE MOST TO FUCK UP THE REPUBLIC IN 2007.

George Bush- Duh! We could have had him on this list every year since 2001.

Dick Cheney- See the previous post.

The Republican candidates for president- All male, all white, and all scary as fuck.

Mass murderers- Colleges, churches, malls; nowhere was safe from these sick mother fuckers.

Erik Prince-as CEO of Blackwater, this bible toting fascist has his own private army. God help us. Oh wait, god will only help him. We are truly fucked!

The U.S. congress- These assholes have an approval rating in the low twenties. Why? Because they allowed the frat boy to have his way; and, because they are as slimy and as sleazy as ever.

Larry Craig, Bob Allen,Richard Curtis,Donald Fleischman, and Glenn Murphy, Jr.-All these phony ass republicans have a sexual secret to hide, but openly act as if gays are trying to destroy the republic. You hypocritical dick heads can all kiss my black ass......correct that; you might enjoy it too much.

Britney Spears and her newly knocked up sister-Enough already!

Don Imus- "Nappy headed hoes"? But not to worry, he has shown his love for black people by putting two token house Negroes on his show.

Michael Medved- He doesn't think slavery was that bad. Hey, he is speaking for 30% of the folks here in A-merry-ca, so get used to it.

Rupert Murdoch- His FAKE NEWS empire just keeps growing, and A-merry-cans just keep tuning in.

Television political and social pundits-Out of touch, and out of things to say. You all should just shut up and stop stealing money from the networks.

Alberto Gonzales-This lying little twit set the justice department back 50 years.

Mitt Romney- All lies and all smiles. This phony with the Colgate smile deserves a special place away from the other re-puke-lican candidates for president because he is the most dangerous. Yes, even more dangerous than Rudy.

O.J. Simpson-After you killed those two people and got away with it, you should have gotten as far away from A-merry-ca as possible. But somehow you were still under the illusion that white folks loved your house Negro ass. Well they got you now, and trust me, they won't miss twice.

Television news producers-For giving us wall to wall news about missing white women, and failing to tell us about all the others.

Reed Walters- District Attorney LaSalle Parrish, Louisiana. For your handling of the Jena Six case. Nuff said!

David Patraeus-Because of your use of the frat boy's talking points we are still mired in this fucked up war. The "Move On" people were right.

Nancy Pelosi-If she spent as much time doing her job as she does on her fucking clothes and makeup we might get somewhere in congress.

And every single House Negro that I featured on my side bar in 2007.

Welcome back I-Man.

It's great to be an old white man in A-merry-ca isn't it Mr. Imus? Here we are just eight months after your little, ahem, slip of the tongue, and you are back on the air with a new five year deal. And this after settling for millions with your former employer under the terms of your previous contract. So back to WABC radio you go. And you will even have a simulcast T.V. deal with RFD-T.V., who is owned by the Rural Group. How fitting.

I would say something like I hope you learned your lesson, but why should you have? Hell, you made out better now than you were before nappyheadedhogate. We should all be so lucky after being fired from our jobs.

I wonder if all of your old political buddies and all those powerful people you used to have on your show will show up again? Or will they abandon you like Harold Ford and some of your big shot Washington friends did ? Every time I saw that fraud, Tim Russert, back peddle from his association with you I wanted to throw up. He knew exactly what you were about, and he had no problem yucking it up on your show when he wanted to push his phony ass book. But I digress.

I-Man I even hear you will have one black regular on this new show, but you are keeping that a secret for now. ---- Let me say this for the record: whoever it is will be the fields HN for awhile on this blog. But I am sure it could be anybody. You could have Jason Fatlock lined up to do your sports. You could have Thomas Sowell, or Armstrong Williams lined up to do your political commentary. You could put on D.L. Hugely, and Daymon Wayans to tell jokes. And if you really want to be like your arch nemesis, Howard Stern, you could jock him and create your own Robin Quivers. May I suggest La Shawn Barber for that role? Hell she even looks like her.

Speaking of Howard Stern; he says "people will tune you out within a week." I say he is wrong. A-merry-ca will love you and they will throw their full support behind you. A-merry-ca doesn't like to see one of their own beat up over a little racial issue. We all just want to see nappyheadedhogate behind us. You made a mistake, you apologized, now let's move on folks. We are too busy for all this racial talk in our beloved country.

"I am not ashamed of saying it is about money". So says your new Program Director, Phil Boyce.

Of course Phil, in A-merry-ca it always is.

Dear Mr. Imus:

Here is hoping that this letter finds you in good health. I say this because I Have been seeing you all over the television lately, and quite frankly, you don't look so hot.

Now Don, you don't know me, I am one of millions of people of color in this country who you offended with your fool hardy and insensitive remarks about those fine young women from Rutgers. But unlike most of those other people, I didn't want you fired. I was fine with you being on the radio, because I honestly believe that people like you and your cohorts need to be given a forum. After all, how else would people like me know that people like you still exist and are so prevalent in modern day America? Honestly Don, if it were not for you hurting those young ladies, I would have been glad for your little slip up. I will tell you why. We Americans need that kind of reminder every now and then to jar us back to reality about our racial divide in our country.

Trust me on this one Don, I know why so many of your fellow Americans in the majority population were so frustrated with you. After all, you did the unpardonable by making your racist views public. Don, you must have missed the white memo; don't you know that as a white person you are never ever supposed to make your true feelings known when it comes to matters of race? These discussions should only be held amongst other white people who you really trust, and in the privacy of your own home.

So you f****d up Don, there is no kinder way to say it. But again, I am not going to beat a dead horse, what was done is done and it's over now. (Well, until the next white man ignores the memo)

I know that every one is saying that this will start a great nationwide discussion on race, and organizations will now come together to try and change the racial climate in this country and bring the races together. But let's be honest, this will all last until the next hot news story. Who knows, maybe J-Lo and Marc Anthony will break up and she will start dating P-Diddy again. Or, some no talented actor or actress will over dose on coke, and the stories will monopolize the news cycle instead of your infamous comments.

Don, I also see that you were disappointed with Harold Ford Jr., for abandoning you and not coming to your defense after you suffered death treats for supporting his senate run in Tennessee. Well Don you should have known better. I could have told you that Harold is nothing more than an opportunistic weasel who would sell you and his own people down the river if it meant more votes. He used you Don, just like all this politicians and famous journalist who used your show to sell their books. See how fast you can lose your friends when you disobey the memo Don? But don't worry, they will all be back, they just have to wait for this all to die down a little.

Finally Don, you made the mistake that most other out of touch white folks make; you held Reverend Al up as the leader of all black people in America. Don, if you should poll black people you would find that most of us don't even agree with Al and Jessie most of the time. So your first silly move was going on the Reverend Al's show, and legitimizing the good Reverend in this debate. I am sorry you did it too, because it gave your fellow white folks an excuse to use their famous racial bogeyman to detract attention from the real debate, and the real issues surrounding your comments.

Oh, and one other thing, I know Karl Rove and the White House is happy for you, because your ignorant and racist ass statements pushed their little e-mail deleting issues, and the war in Iraq off of the front page for awhile. So unlike the rest of us, my man Karl and his cronies are probably saying go Don go just keep those racist rants coming.

Anyway, here is wishing you all the best. And although I know the people you directed your comments at forgave you, don't for a minute think that I do. Still, I did not want you to lose your job, and here is hoping you will bounce back and end up on the FOX NEWS channel as a host or something. I honestly think you would fit right in there.

Sincerely,

Your fellow American, and former nappy headed ho, the field Negro.

The Dukies & The I Man

Folks please excuse me if I can't really post all of my own sh** tonight. Unfortunately, I have been watching bits and pieces of Roots on tv One, and I am too pissed off to focus.

Instead, I have this excellent post from ABC's Terry Moran about the Duke rape case fiasco:

"Mike Nifong, the North Carolina prosecutor who pursued a case of rape and kidnapping against three Duke University lacrosse players, has been found to have been reckless and deceitful in the discharge of his duties according to the state's attorney general. He abused the power the people of Durham granted him. Based on the public record of what he did in this case, he may well be properly disbarred.

The accuser in this case has been shown to be either a vicious liar or a troubled fantasist.
The three young men who she accused are truly innocent of the charges brought against them according to the North Carolina Attorney General and the investigation led by his office. But perhaps the outpouring of sympathy for Reade Seligman, Collin Finnerty and David Evans is just a bit misplaced. They got special treatment in the justice system--both negative and positive. The conduct of the lacrosse team of which they were members was not admirable on the night of the incident, to say the least. And there are so many other victims of prosecutorial misconduct in this country who never get the high-priced legal representation and the high-profile, high-minded vindication that it strikes me as just a bit unseemly to heap praise and sympathy on these particular men.

So as we rightly cover the vindication of these young men and focus on the genuine ordeal they have endured, let us also remember a few other things: They were part of a team that collected $800 to purchase the time of two strippers. Their team specifically requested at least one white stripper. During the incident, racial epithets were hurled at the strippers. Colin Finnerty was charged with assault in Washington, DC, in 2005.The young men were able to retain a battery of top-flight attorneys, investigators and media strategists.
As students of Duke University or other elite institutions, these young men will get on with their privileged lives. There is a very large cushion under them--the one that softens the blows of life for most of those who go to Duke or similar places, and have connections through family, friends and school to all kinds of prospects for success. They are very differently situated in life from, say, the young women of the Rutgers University women's basketball team.

And, MOST IMPORTANT, there are many, many cases of prosecutorial misconduct across our country every year. The media covers few, if any, of these cases. Most of the victims in these cases are poor or minority Americans--or both. I would hate to say the color of their skin is one reason journalists do not focus on these victims of injustices perpetrated by police and prosecutors, but I am afraid if we ask ourselves the question honestly, we would likely find that it is. Look for a moment at what James Giles endured:

I hope we all keep him and others in mind, as we cover the celebrated exoneration of well-heeled, well-connected, well-publicized young men whose conduct, while not illegal, was not entirely admirable, either. They aren't heroes. They aren't boys. They are young men who were victimized by a reckless prosecutor-and had the resources to fight him off"

Thank you for that excellent and insightful post Mr. Moran, I know some of your fellow white people have been killing you for this one, but the field has your back. I blogged about the same damn thing before all the charges were dropped by the North Carolina Attorney General's office. Who by the way, went out of their way to say that these boys were innocent. (When was the last time you heard a prosecutor say that?)

Well, they ain't innocent in my book, and as far as I am concerned, the only difference between them and Don Imus is a few million viewers.

I'm out.

"... nappy-headed hos"?

I know I am late to this party, (this is why I hate to be out of the fields even for a minute) but I must comment on the latest little...ahem ahem, racial problem facing America, compliments of famed radio shock jock, Dom Imus.

Let me begin by thanking my girl "i am not star jones" for blogging about this story last week, and being the first to bring it to my attention. This is what I love about the "blackosphere", it helps to push a story so fast.

Now quite a few people will not like this post, because I doubt seriously if what I am going to say is the conventional thinking among black folks. But I wouldn't be me if I didn't speak my mind and keep it one hundred with you. Scary as this is going to sound, I actually agree with ...gasp, John McWhorter on this one. This is probably the only time that I will ever agree with home boy, but he is right about this issue. Don Imus is one man who speaks for many, and who represents a type of thinking in this country that us black folks need to simply start ignoring. He could do a thousand Mea culpa's on Reverend Al's radio show, and it will not change what is in his heart. I have been trying to preach on my blog from day one, that you cannot regulate or legislate morality. Don Imus is a racist and a hustler, who speaks to a very wide base, and tells them exactly what they want to hear. He can do this, because they are either too afraid to say it, or, whatever environment they are in, prevents them from doing so. And believe me when I tell you, he and his sidekicks have done quite well for themselves insulting black folks and other minorities.

So let's make no mistake, Imus didn't make his millions because he didn't have an audience. His Schick is quite popular, and his is the number one radio program in many major markets. (What does that tell you about your fellow countrymen?) So as he goes on the latest white man racist apology tour; just remember that his program regularly plays hosts to major politicians and journalist-resident house Negro, Harold Ford, happens to be one of his favorite people in the world- including many of the very people who will be now condemning him for doing what they do privately in public.

But I am sorry, I can't get all bent out of shape over the Imus comments. Why? Because I have come to expect it from his ilk. I refuse to act like the police inspector from Casablanca and be "shocked, shocked", that such racism exists in America. You will start hearing any day now, about other insensitive and racist things Imus and his sidekicks have said in the past, (called the New York Knicks "a bunch of chest pumping pimps", called Ben "Whitehorse" Nelson, Senator from Colorado, "the guy from F troop") and I am sure that you will be shocked, shocked , that this has been going on under your noses all this time. Yeah right, you must not live in the same America that I do. Here is a news flash; this is exactly the type of shit many of these folks sit around and say when your black ass isn't around. So don't get it twisted; all the marching in the world and all the preaching by Jessie and Al won't change that. And we better start getting our shit together among ourselves (yeah some of our own high profile entertainers call our women hoes too) and stop worrying about some racist cowboy from New Mexico, or else we will be hearing allot more of that type of ignorance from politicians and influential thinkers as well.

"I did a bad thing but I am not a bad person"

I am sure you don't think you are Mr. Imus. In fact, given the nature of modern day America when it comes to matter of race; you are quite the norm.
