Last week I was driving into work and listening to conservative talk radio (Keep your friends close and your enemies closer) and you should have heard how they were going on and on about this crisis with the pirates. You would have thought that the Somalians had overrun America. They were all over his O ness for not speaking up about the Americans being held hostage and they wanted action, now.
Bill Bennett, on his show, was declaring that this was the defining foreign policy moment in the O man's presidency, and comparing it to Kennedy's Cuban Missile Crisis. Conservative blogs were buzzing and they could smell blood in the water. ( No pun intended) That Obama is no more than a panty waist. He is clueless when it comes to these issues, Reagan would have told those Pirates to free the American hostages or else. The guy is just another Jimmy Carter. It's all because he bowed to their King why they can take these liberties with our people. And on it went.
Well today, thanks to the work of the US Navy, Captain Richard Phillips is free, his O ness is looking golden, and once again, the haters are left with egg on their faces. I know the wing nuts are pretending that they are happy that this crises had a peaceful and happy ending, but let's keep it real, they are not.
I can't wait to hear how the reich wing talking heads spin this one. It was all the work of the Navy, if it wasn't for Captain Phillips jumping in the water Obama would still be twiddling his thumbs. Obama needs to go after the Pirates on land now and teach them all a lesson. But he won't do it, he is too soft. Forget the fact that these pirates have been terrorising shipping lanes around the Horn of Africa for years, and you never heard a peep out of these clowns when the frat boy was in charge. But now they want his O ness to nuke the entire Eastern part of the continent of Africa. Unbelievable!
And as it turns out, Obama was in contact with the military all along, and he did give the go ahead to go Jack Bauer on the pirate crew. He called Mr. Phillips to wish him well and tell him what a hero he was and he issued a statement about the incident: "Mr Obama said capt Phillips had courage that was "a model for all Americans".
Check mate, once again, to his Oness. But it's 's another week, and I am sure the wingnuts will find something else to get all fired up about.
Well, let's see now, the White House dog's name is "Bo". Maybe they can start there.
