"Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas argued, in an interview aired by C-SPAN, that President Obama was elected because he had the approval of “elites and the media.” Those who don’t fit the “prescribed” mold of “what to expect from a black person,” he said, are torn apart by the media.
Thomas said he did expect that the country would have a black president during his lifetime. “I always knew is that it would have to be a black president who was approved by the elites and the media because anybody they didn’t agree with, they would take apart,” he contended when speaking at a panel at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh last month.
“You pick your person,” he added. “Any black person who says something that is not the prescribed things that they expect from a black person will be picked apart.”

Stephen must have been doing too much pillow talking with his extreme right wing wife. People like Ginni and Stephen tend to live in an alternate reality. It's a world dominated by FOX, Breitbart NEWS, and like minded people. Stephen has a lot of nerve.He should be kissing the ass of the wimpy media every day of his life for not aggressively going after a potential scandal that might have brought him down.
Memo to the Judge: you are a member of the "elite" class in this country. The coalition of brown people,poor people, and progressives who voted for president Obama did not need the media -or anyone else- to vote for him. His stated policies at the time were in sync with what the people who voted for him thought would benefit them.
Someone should tell the Judge that's it's not just the people in the media who do not agree with him. The millions of people who voted for Obama (including 90% of Negroes in America) do not agree with him, either.
"You pick your person". Wrong again! The American people picked their person. He was elected by a popular vote. He was not a political appointment that was allowed to stand because a room full of sexist men did not believe a woman of color.
