It's the dreads!

I am posting a little earlier than usual tonight because I want to watch the entire republican debate. The national media has all but declared the republican candidate the next president of these divided states, so I want to see how my new leader handles himself (himself, because it won't be Michele Bachmann) under the lights.

It looks like it's going to come down to the secessionist versus the weirdo. May the best man win. You will be inheriting one hell of a country. Mass killings in West Virginia and Nevada, (real sweetheart of a guy that West Virginia shooter, he killed five people [including a pregnant woman] because he was turned down by the Army) shootings and gun violence in urban A-merry-ca on the rise, and a country do deeply divided along ethnic, racial, and economic lines, that the stew in the melting pot is getting more bitter by the day.

Finally,I am so glad that I kept my training up for my racism chasing, because I knew that it was just a matter of time before the Big R went running by me. (h/t to a fellow field hand up in NYC for turning me on to this story.)

"Labor Day is typically a joyous time for me and the Caribbean community of New York City. This year, it turned chaotic for many, including for myself and a close colleague. As always, I enjoyed marching with family and friends in the West Indian-American Day Carnival Parade down Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn. Upon the conclusion of the parade route, members of the group I was marching with, which included Kirsten John Foy, director of community relations for Public Advocate Bill de Blasio, sought to return to the Brooklyn Museum to attend a luncheon reception marking the close of the carnival.

Upon showing our credentials, we were given permission by a supervising officer near the library at Grand Army Plaza to enter a barricaded area, which was meant for elected officials and dignitaries, and make our way back to the museum. After walking several hundred yards and passing through an initial police checkpoint without any issues, we encountered three police officers standing on the sidewalk who informed us that this was a restricted area to civilians. I identified myself as a council member to the officers and explained that we were trying to get to the event.

The officers were immediately resistant. I showed the officers my council badge, and Foy explained that we were given permission by a higher ranking officer to be in the barricaded area. The officers still refused to acknowledge my credentials, as well as those of Foy, who was also trying to show his credentials at this time. They told me to have the officers who had given us permission relay their approval to them.

I attempted to reach two higher ranking officers which were just on the other side of the barricaded area, at which point I was pushed for the first time. I stepped back, asked not to be pushed, and said that I would be calling a local police chief to explain the situation. I was then pushed again. When I got on the phone with the chief, the group, which had swelled to 10-15 officers, formed a human barricade of sorts - and began physically pushing us more. Neither Foy nor I ever pushed them back; we only continued to try to dialogue with them about who we were and why we were there.

It was at this point, as video has now shown, that Foy was kicked in the back of the knee, pushed to the ground and handcuffed by officers. Shortly after, when I turned around briefly, I too was grabbed by the arm and placed in handcuffs. We were then led in separate directions, initially to the 78th Precinct headquarters. Then, after the intervention of several officials, we were taken to the Union Temple of Brooklyn, which is across from the library. After being held there for 40 to 60 minutes, we were released with no charges.

So what comes next? If I were not an elected official, I would have been taken to central booking and charged, no questions asked. That fact makes clear to me how serious the situation is for our young black and Latino men who suffer from this police culture every single day. While the actions of the select number of police officers involved here do not represent the entire NYPD, they do reflect a stop-and-frisk policy that unfairly targets people based on race and appearance.
Not only is this unproductive, it has not been proved to be effective in curbing violence in our communities. The increasing violence in my district alone is proof positive to me of this failure." [Source]

Oh come on now councilman, the NYPD was just doing their job, they would have stopped anybody who was trying to get into that restricted area....

...."According to Williams, [in pic] he and Foy finished marching in the parade and tried to walk to a Brooklyn Museum reception for dignitaries on a route that went through a zone frozen by police.

In past years, Williams said, cops opened the zone for elected officials to pass. They did so Monday for de Blasio, who is white and whose presence was not challenged.

Williams said ranking police allowed him, Foy and a group of about 10 people to enter the zone. When they had walked about 150 yards, they encountered uniformed cops who ordered them to turn back, Williams said..." [Source]

Oh.

Well maybe you should lose those dreads, Negro. We don't need elected officials frightening those hard working police officers.

Fn,please.Everyone knows black men with dreads are 30% more likely to commit crimes than black men who don't have dreads.Overall black men are 50% more likely to commit crimes.

So if you add 30% + 50%= 80% chance that black man was gonna rob some old white lady.

The police are heros in this case.

Newt has completely lost his mind. Gov. Big Hair and Mitt going at it was funny. I will call that one a draw. Ron Paul, as usual, is the most honest of the bunch. But he is also the craziest.

Frm the previous thread:

In this life, I have found that it's been no fun being Black. No one seems to LIKE us, including many of us.

Field, instead of posting about what the wm is doing to us, why not post about how we feel about each other?

From the previous thread:

"Either way, Blacks react out of fear whenever they see white skin. Face it. It's no fun being who we are. No one LIKES being Black. Isn't that why Blacks cannot unify, because we don't LIKE each other, let alone love each other?"

Isn't it strange that Blacks don't talk about this? Why must we carry this miserable elephant in the living room around in secret?

"People are as sick as their secrets."

One thing for sure, Perry knows how to use power-which Obama does not. He will be the next President, Obama is finished. I wouldn't vote for Obama if the sky was falling. He has betrayed the entire black race, the poor and the weak. He has lied to his voters and has brought no change, except misery.

Hopefully Romney will win but this country is so fed up with Obama that they will vote for Perry, if necessary.

Obama not only shamed our race, he showed blatant contempt for AAs.

Maybe "this police culture" has resulted from the fact that black males are so much likelier to occupy the time of the police.

Blacks don't beat each other. We Blacks are a unified race. We take good care of each other. we look out for each other, like Obama is doing for us today.

Jumaane Williams is a City Councilman, which is job for otherwise unemployable people who are content to do things like help to name streets after criminals.

That's what the black city councilmen do. It's a silly job that carries no power at all.

Meanwhile, field seems to hiave willfully ignored the fact that over the Labor Day weekend in NY City, 67 people were shot and a bunch of them died, including a couple of people shot near the Caribbean Day Parade route.

But field has to focus on the really important stuff -- how one thuggish looking city councilman and his pal were pushed around by some cops when it appeared the two had improperly entered a secured area.

That's always more important than murders committed by blacks.

Over 95% of the murders in NY City this year were committed by blacks and hispanics, but blacks hold a commanding lead.

But murder -- when it's committed by blacks -- is such a bother to field and others like him.

I live in the Oakland Area where every other Black person wears dreads, esp the women. I have never lived in an area where there are so many dreadlocks!

It's no wonder the cops in this area treats Blacks so badly. A lot of our folks just look dangerous and scary and not to be trusted. I try to avoid them.

As a race, we have been cursed so many ways: hair, fat bodies, poor English, black on black crimes, uneducated(and there are a lot of Blacks in the Oakland area who can't read), lack of businesses(the dominant business in the East Bay for Blacks are barber shops). If you really want to see the karmic curse of Blacks, move to the East Bay Area. It is by far the worst situation for our people. A Black gets murdered every day in Richmond and East Oakland....that's minimum.

"But murder -- when it's committed by blacks -- is such a bother to field and others like him."

All Blacks are not like Field, but you are right about him and some FN Negroes. It's NOT a bother to them, they really hate it because they NEED to feel like Whites are stepping on them. That way they don't have to look at their own shit. It's unfortunate, but true. And it isn't going to change because you have folks like Field promoting victimization.

Have you wondered how many black Philly lawyers wear dreadlocks? Let me answer that for you...NONE!

How many black Congress male and females wear dreadlocks? NONE.

Black Executives in the business world? NONE.

Do you know why these Blacks don't wear dreadlocks? Because they know what is appropriate. The folks Field hang out with don't have any sense of what is appropriate. The councilman who invited those dreadlocks to their restricted area KNEW BETTER, but that is how Negroes treat each other.

So not 50%, but 49.81%.

That way the more gullible readers will think "Woh, this guy knows his shit".

field advises:

Don't ever judge a book by its cover.

More black lunacy.

Maybe field is saying that nothing can be learned or known about a person by considering his appearance.

But I will bet that even field -- the anti-white jurist -- would judge that a big, burley, thuggish white guy wearing a black leather jacket with colors proclaiming his membership in the Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club is what his clothes say he is.

Meanwhile, based on information coming from police departments around the nation, people who commit violent crimes are almost never dressed in suits and ties.

As a matter of fact, most violent crimes are committed by males between the ages of 15 and 35. And surprise, surprise, a stunningly high percentage of the perpetrators are black.

Like I said, over 95% of the murders in NY City are committed by blacks and hispanics. About two-thirds are committed by blacks.

Thus, any way you look at it, there are plenty of reasons to challenge a dreadlocked city councilman who may well have NOT been a city councilman and was very possibly in an area he was not supposed to be in.

A couple of years ago another black city councilman was murdered -- shot -- IN City Hall by a black killer who had accompanied the councilman into the building. By being with the councilman, the killer was able to avoid going through the metal detectors that would have spotted his handgun.

So when you clowns get jumpy about the bad treatment of Jumaane Williams -- another do-nothing jerk collecting a paycheck for doing nothing -- remember that in NY City, wherever blacks congregate, someone may get murdered.

As they say, field, actions speak louder than words.

There's been a lot of black murder action and other violence.

Pursuing the racism angle is obsolete when the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of black murder victims are murdered by OTHER BLACK PEOPLE.

But most black people don't get it. Including you, field negro.

When it comes to something important why are black people the last to know and understand?

Legendary reggae dub poet, gifted actor, and star of the classic rebel slave film "Sankofa", Mutabaruka, said it best, in his classic rebel song “Witeman country”: “It no good to stay in a witeman country too long”... It is common to be infected with the poison of white supremacy in a racist country like America. From cosmetic commercials to supermodels, from billboards to magazines, from TV screens to movie screens, and from center stages to centerfolds, straight hair rules. It is typical to emulate such bombardment with the epitome of eurocentric “womanhood” that haunts us everywhere, even on the arms of many of our “brothers”.

Renown author and sage Alice Walker is beautiful. And so are her locks. In “Oppressed Hair Puts A Ceiling on the Brain”, an essay in her classic collection of non-fiction entitled “Living by The Word”, Alice states:

“...It occurred to me that in my physical self there remained one last barrier to my spiritual liberation...my hair...It was the way I related to it that was the problem...I suddenly understood why nuns and monks shaved their heads...I remembered years of enduring hairdressers, from my mother onward, doing missionary work on my hair. They dominated, suppressed, controlled. Now, more or less free, [my hair] stood this way and that...It never thought of laying down. Flatness, the missionary position did not interest it. It sought more and more space, more light, more of itself. It loved to be washed; but that was it.

Eventually, I knew precisely what hair wanted. It wanted to grow, to be itself, to attract lint, but to be left alone by anyone, including me, who did not love it as it was...(I was now able, as an added bonus, to comprehend Bob Marley as the mystic his music has always indicated he was.) The ceiling at the top of my brain lifted; once again my mind (and spirit) could get outside myself...This was the gift of my growth during my fortieth year. This - the realization that as long as there is joy in creation, there will always be new creations to discover, or rediscover, and that a prime place to look is within and about the self. That even death, being part of life, must offer at least one moment of delight.”

My hair has become spiritual and political. I look at my hair and I feel like I have come home. I stayed away FAR too long...

“Be gay, you can do that. Game don’t have a problem with gay people. As we all know, the Republicans refused to extend unemployment benefits during the last Congressional session. Their notion, apparently, is that all those unemployed slackers are just taking a vacation with taxpayer money and need to just get a job, already, despite the fact that there are four unemployed applicants for every job opening in America meaning that three of them aren't gonna get the job no matter what.

The GOP is, thus, fundamentally a subscriber to the Classical/Chicago School notion of the Great Depression as the Great Vacation, where millions of hard-working people world-wide inexplicably decided to go on long vacations for a decade until the outbreak of WW2. The notion is that if you're unemployed, it's voluntary, because you could always get a job if you lowered your wage demands. There are two practical problems with that theory -- a) there is a practical floor on wages in that wages insufficient to sustain life will not be accepted because if you're going to starve to death anyhow you might as well do so with some dignity, and b) I as a small business owner am not going to hire another employee for any wage other than "free" unless there is demand to justify it, because as a capitalist my job is to make as much profit as I can (meaning with as little payroll as I can get away with), I'm a businessman, not a charity. I.e., lack of demand, not wages, are why I'm not hiring.

So anyhow, that practical stuff gets ignored by people who are in love with the elegant theories of the Austrians despite their utter lack of applicability to *this* universe. Which is one reason why WASF.

How do you leftists feel about this? I know that you all hate Reagan, you have despised Reagan. Even during the Reagan administration the number one objective of the left has been to revise Reagan history. I mean all this talk about Reagan cutting taxes for the rich, didn't care about the poor, didn't care about AIDS, didn't care about the homeless. Reagan was a cold-hearted, mean-spirited extremist. And these are the people, the ones that have been saying it all these years. And now all of a sudden when their little guy gets in trouble, when Obama can't get any traction whatsoever, when he's lost the love, when he's lost all of this messianic stuff that attached itself to him, where do they go? Do they go to JFK and try to draw analysis and comparison? No. They go to LBJ? No. They go to Jimmy Carter? No. They'd probably love to go to Marx. They don't dare. They go to Gorbachev? No. They go to Mao Tse-tung? Only in private. Who they gonna go to, Reagan, all to draw this illusion that their president, young guy, this man-child is moving to the center? In the next breath, though, listen to this, this is Richard Stengel. Scarborough said, "Well, we've been saying for some time, even in bad times for Obama, it was 2010 for Reagan, it was 1982, even as the numbers go down, still personally very popular."

Which is one reason why WASF.

farm this:

After two and a half years of waging war against the Left half of his own party, while seeking a “Grand Consensus” with the GOP, President Obama has finally set “in motion a rolling implosion of Roosevelt’s New Deal and Johnson’s Great Society.” The final vote on the debt ceiling measure – actually a ruse to impose savage cuts in social spending – saw a substantial portion of the Congressional Black Caucus put the president’s prestige above their constituents’ vital interests. Ninety-five House Democrats, including 15 Black Caucus members, “voted for the certainty of losing trillions of dollars for tens of millions of needy citizens, rather than risk the possibility of unknown financial dislocations.”

To the extent that that is true, to the degree that Black America remains more concerned about how Obama is doing as he seeks another term in office, rather than how the African American people are doing under Obama’s center-right, Wall Street- and war-loving regime – Blacks are doomed to a period of suffering unprecedented in the modern age.

He is the enemy. Unequivocally. Cast him out.

Why are black people so racist? said...

More racist black mob attacks.

Dallas police are investigating a convenience store robbery in which a group of teens attacked a clerk.

The melee, which was caught on video, happened last month at the Exxon Tiger Mart at South Polk Street and Interstate 20, WFAA-TV (Channel 8) reports.

A large crowd of young people entered the store about 10:15 p.m. and began throwing bottles at one another.

When the clerk confronted them and tried to close the door, someone in the crowd punches him, knocking him to the ground.

"Once they got me on the ground, I thought they were going to kill me," C.J. Thomas told Channel 8's Monika Diaz.

Fortunately, two girls helped him up and pulled him out of harm's way.

Watch the full surveillance video below.

Even though fn and many on the left will lie to you about these racist black mob attacks,99% of the victims of these racist black mob attacks have been white.

Sisters, brothers and the whities
Blacks and the crackers
Police and their backers
They're all political actors

Hurry
People running from their worries
While the judge and the juries
Dictate the law that's partly flaw
Cat calling, love balling, fussing and cussing
Top billing now is killing
For peace no-one is willing
Kind of make you get that feeling

Everybody smoke, smoke, smoke, smoke, smoke
Use the pill and the dope, dope, dope, dope, dope
Educated fools
From uneducated schools
Pimping people is the rule
Polluted water in the pool
And Nixon talking about don't worry, worry, worry, worry
He says don't worry, worry, worry, worry
He says don't worry, worry, worry, worry
He says don't worry, worry, worry, worry

But they don't know
There can be no show
And if there's a hell below
We're all gonna go, go, go, go, go

Everybody's praying
And everybody's saying
But when come time to do
Everybody's laying

Just talking about don't worry, worry, worry, worry
They say don't worry, worry, worry, worry
They say don't worry, worry, worry, worry
They say don't worry, worry, worry, worry

I remember back in the 60s everyone was throwing out the peace sign as a greeting, but there was no peace. Vietnam war was going on, different people movements of protest were going on too; police brutality, the murder of those students at Kent University, and kids that had got so high off of LSD, until they were jumping off of buildings killing themselves. All kind of stuff was going on, yet, people were giving each other peace signs.

Back then, music was the only way some kept their sanity or lifted their spirits or were able to relax in a world full of turmoil like it is today. In addition, music brought people together from all color groups.

Thank you for beleeverating 'Birth of A Nation' is a documentary and not a revisionist fake done to make losers feel better about their Lynchings and Thurmonding.

It almost lets us forget the bushMess and bushWars and how much Cheney loved his films of torture. And the conservative priests who molested children. And the heroic brave wite man who shot children.

Yep, pay no attention to the Kochs and their courtiers removing safety and environmental regulations...as it might -gasp- cost something. Why, the poor dears! Cleaning up after themselves is, like, so Socialist!
And having them pay to clean up their mess is job-killing. Somehow.

I still want to hear more on the story. It seems that we only have one version. Kind of like hearing about Terri Schiavo being lucid. With less mental capacity than a flatworm. What does that indicate about wingnut Cons and their standards? Anyway, we might want to pause on judging this incident until we hear a bit more. Remember how many TaxBaggers were 'assaulted' by non-existent union thugs? Or how Michelle Bachmann had to hide in shrubs from the Lesbian League?

Like the 1950s for wite Geezers, the 1960s seem more about how old you were at the time. It was the Perfect Time because of where one was personally. I can remind you that Flappers thought the 1920s were fabulous. And some rich white inherited wealth men loved, loved, loved the 1930s. Some men wanted to return to their Glory Days of WWII, WWI, Korea, VietNam, Gulf....it was 'their time'.

Partly why the weenies hate the 1960s. While some were having the best time of their lives....for some their years had passed.

Me, I'll be happy to avoid another Great Depression. This one might not be free of rich dudes swinging from lampposts. Socialized medicine, Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid with jobs programs seem cheap compared to being executed.

Before I accept the tale of an unknown-to-me person...I would like to know more.

Do you really believe that?

I alway thought that movie was over-the-top, but you think it was an accurate portrayal of blacks during reconstruction.

Well, I guess modern experience sort of reinforces that viewpoint. I will try to get a copy and watch it again.

Thanks Mold!

I MISS CURTIS MAYFIELD!!!

I miss revolutionary music. I miss real music that has real meaning. I miss political prose and righteous rebellion in syncopation. I miss lyrical inspiration and healing musical escapes…

Curtis Mayfield was an ideal political poet. His music was soulful and spiritual, rebellious and revolutionary, passionate and political, intense and inspirational. He was black and beautiful, cool and collected, gifted and gracious, silky and smooth.

We are living in brutal times. I know that Curtis would ease some of our new pains with new blues music for these new dark days. He would pen typically medicinal new masterpieces about political corruption, poverty, betrayal, dejection, lethal lies, rebel truths, hopes, homelessness, and endless wars…

Fortunately, Mayfield’s dated masterpieces are timeless. Magically, his music will soothe us eternally. Mercifully, his classic old songs still chase some new blues away.

Mold, isn't it something how they want to steal grandma and grandpa's measely check, lower employees wages to a paupers status, so that some rich white dudes can keep on enjoying cruises and giving parties on their private yachts while the serfs do their bidding. Sorta just like how did and they got rich off of free labor back during antebellum times when you think about it.

One Lefty blogger mentioned it was their Sadism. They NEED to inflict pain...and Lynchings and Thurmondings are frowned upon. Social Security recipients voted for st reagan, evidence of mental degradation. Stealing form the poor means your bushTwin kids will never have to feel the embarrassment of going to college with poor, but vastly smarter, students.
Making the US 'Mexico Norte' is part of the plan. Tons of pain in that situation.

Funny thing, like previous lives fans, they always seem to be King Dude or Queen Santorum...never nameless wite slavecropping peon. Yet, the numbers reveal that in an antebellum plantation scenario...all the TaxBaggers,
Cons and wingnuts would be marginal day labour. Their Master and alcoholic gambling addict would be a Koch.

They hope to again be able to say 'at leasts I aints no migger'.
