A while back, Field posted a video of Darren Wilson on a call unrelated to the Michael Brown shooting. I thought that Field's description of Wilson not being a good cop was spot on. There are good cops and a bunch of them who have a stick up their ass attitude. The video showed Wilson was one of them. It didn't show an indication that he would later shoot an unarmed teenager. Most of the not so good cops don't.
From my personal contact with police, I'd say at least a third have bad attitudes. It seems to vary by location. I think state troopers and big eastern city cops might tend to be more professional on the average. I did meet one cop who went off on a racist klan like rant. He was Hispanic. My family is friends with some cops and one of them was shot and killed while photographing crime scene evidence. Shooting any cop is a very misplaced idea. The problem is the system. Nobody should be above the law, whether that is cops, war criminal politicians, or wall street crooks. Our system of "justice" is in a sorry sate.
America never has had a justice system. It has always been a penal system disguised as a justice system.
