MLK vitriol, and Glenn Beck believes that the killing of six people is funny.

It's getting close to MLK's birthday again, and the usual nutcases are coming out of the woodwork as they usually do this time of year. God forbid you Negroes have an American hero like the rest of us.

"Born Michael King Jr., the man known to the world as Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. has continued to be an enigma. Both revered and reviled, he has been a force to be reckoned since he led the historic march in Selma, Ala., in 1965 and continues to be so even in death.

"Sexual degenerate" and "communist" are not terms often associated with this revered nonviolent leader who spearheaded the civil rights movement.

Yet, Brett Reese, a member of the Greeley-Evans School District 6 Board of Education, is broadcasting just such an attack on Dr. King through his 104.7 FM pirate radio show..

"Just a sexual degenerate, an America-hating communist and a criminal betrayer of even the interest of his own people," Reese reads during his radio broadcast."
[Source]

Oh my! I know that all of you Negroes with one of those fans with brother Martin's picture on the back are going to be pissed at that one.

Hmmmm, a "sexual degeenerate". I wonder if he was any worse than my man Thomas Jefferson?

Finally, someone told me to turn on 1210 AM here in Philly this morning and listen to the radio. I flipped on the little desk top radio in my office and all I heard was laughter and joking. It took me awhile to figure out that it was Glenn Beckkk's radio program and that he was yucking it up with his co-hosts about the killings in Arizona.

One joke after another; about the president, Joe Scarborough, and then some congresswoman named Louise Slaughter. Apparently they have a history.("Oh no we can't use that name,-Slaughter- they might want to shut us down" Ha ha ha ha!!!")

Glenn, I am glad that you and your cronies think that the death of six people (including a nine year old girl) is funny. The rest of us are not laughing.

BTW, I am still waiting for Sarah Palin to apologize for putting the congresswoman in the cross hairs of her political rifle.

I am sure Palin will apologize for simply putting a target on a map (you cant be that infantile can you? ) once Obama apologizes for these really mean comments.

Or when the DNC apologizes for their targeting map that used Bullseyes, yes Bullseyes then also used the word “enemy” to refer to Republicans, as well as the phrase “ripe targets for Democrats.”

Or when those who wanted Sarah Gang Raped, Aborted, beat the shit out of her or so many other liberal normalities.

Yeah and a CHILD is DEAD behind grownups being in charge! Grownups are the cause of that child's life ending before she had a change to live. However, I guess that doesn't mean much to some folks...political agenda first.

I wonder who the next victim will be behind grownups in charge!!!

Field,

The 'Rev' above me sounds like one of those fake ass pastors littering the churches. But Martin Luther King's movement was effective in part because it took so much stength to not raise your hand while being attacked. As a matter of fact, it took more than strength it took faith. It's just a shame that he and Brother Malcolm never had a chance to join together in the struggle.

GrannyStandingforTruth said...

I don't care how folks try to spin it because they're lying anyway and the truth is not in them. A child is dead behind divisive politics. I'm pissed because to me that child is the face of every child in American and this whole wide world. She deserved to live and her life shouldn't have been ended behind grownups being in charge and political BS.

This mess has went a little too far when it gets to the point that a CHILD has to lose their life. Too many political agendas first folks polluting America with their poison and that have no conscience or compassion for their fellow-man. Would you be quick to hollar grownups in charge if that child would have been yours. I bet her grieving parents don't think that grownups are in charge.

Field, "Hmmmm, a "sexual degeenerate". I wonder if he was any worse than my man Thomas Jefferson?"

If the allegations are true, then "Yes" King would be the worst. MLK was a man of God, but Thomas Jefferson was a politician and a slave owner, which was quite condoned during his time.

You said it. It took "faith". That's where the strength of that movement came from...FAITH. Unfortunately the black race has lost faith. What is there to life if there is no faith?

Granny, "This mess has went a little too far when it gets to the point that a CHILD has to lose their life."

Well, this 'mess' of killing children has been going on in the black community for a long time. Black Kids killing Black kids, Black adults killing Black kids...it happens almost everyday. And yet, most of the black community has remained silent for decades. And when they do talk, it's ALL TALK because they don't do a damn thing.

Come to think of it, I have NEVER read a comment by you condemning the murders and killings of black children by Blacks.

You need to watch the View and hear what Barbera Walters had to say about those crosshairs. You need to re-evaluate your thinking.

Why don't you stop being silly and an asshole. I have spoke out against the murder of children many times, regardless, of their color. In my honest opinion, I think a lot of children have more sense than some adults.

The black community have not remained silent about murders of children. You talk silly or as if black people are without feeling or compassion. A murder bothers blacks just like it does any other human being on this earth.

What do you propose black folks do to stop murders? Play police or vigilante? Do you have a solution to stop the killings, we'd love to hear it.

Anonymous said...

Granny, "What do you propose black folks do to stop murders? Play police or vigilante? Do you have a solution to stop the killings, we'd love to hear it."

If Blacks have no solution to black on black killings then why would you expect others to have a solution? But the solution is obvious in the Black Community...develop COURAGE and stop being such fearful cowardly adults. Be responsible and join together to parent black children. Have neighborhood watch that turn those drug addicts and street pirates in. But you won't because you are too afraid to call the police. Blacks have yet to grow up and become adults. We have yet to experience what it means to be adults focused on the solution. Like I said before, all we do is TALK, but no action.

If you can't control your kids, then what good are you as a parent and what good is your community? Are you that fearful?

You can call me an a-hole. I don't care. That's usually YOUR solution to everything anyway..name calling. And you are trying to write a book? It must contain a lot of profanity.

BTW, that is something you could do to help the kids in your community...STOP CURSING. Become a decent model for them. Stop modeling profanity for their ears to hear and to read on FN and the internet.

Where has the Black Community been silent about crime you douchebag? I would like to know, for the past 25 years I have read articles, attended marches and heard debates about the nature of so-called "Black on Black Crime". Do you have any suggestions for the board on lowering gang/drug violence let's hear 'em if what's being done now isn't good enough like...

1. Make sure the Police are in high- crime neighborhoods

2. Be a mentor to wayward young boys

3. Enforce existing postive cultural standards

4. Violently stop street gangs

5. Use RICO laws against street gangs

6. Have black organizations and churches help out in these neighborhoods

7. Have the Federal Government intervene in Black Neighborhoods

8. Violate the Civil Rights of African- Americans

9. Suspend the 4th amendment for all African-American Males

10. Have black celebrites and professionals give all their income in high- crime neighborhoods

Those things are being done everyday by tens of thousands of African- Americans and those various organizations everyday you dipshit. Now unless you want to declare war on all Black Males in America and suspend the 4th amendment until all the so-called "street pirates' are arrested and in jail then go right ahead, but I will practice my second amendment right ( legally conceled weapon) to defend myself against idiots like yourself who loves taking complex issues with no easy solutions to score poltical points anon.

Mahndisa S. Rigmaiden said...

RIP for Sister Jean Webster, Bob. As to the substance of this post, I don't think Sarah Palin is responsible in any way for this tragedy. A mentally ill young man is responsible for killing those people. If we stand for free speech as a country, we ought to allow it. Politicians can't base their speeches on whether or not some mentally ill person will take their comments out of context. If that was the case, Rev Martin Luther King would have never acted to transform our consciousness.

It's a damned shame that even in death, folks malign him. And somehow revelations that he was a womanizer are supposed to take away from his vision for a harmonious Earth. How foul. How foul.

GrannyStandingforTruth said...

It's mighty funny that no one thought about bringing guns to political events or threatening Congresspersons lives on a regular basis until Palin came on the scene.

Ms. Reload, Beck the white supremacist mouthpiece, Bachmann the let's overthrow the government, and Fox Nation inciting and suggesting assassination of the President folks were the sole agitators in pumping up and sending those messages out to the violent nuts.

It's alright though, folks can stay in denial and pass around the blame if they want to. It won't be long before something else comes up in the near future and someone else gets seriously hurt.

Mack Lyons said...

Behold as Rev Smelton Fedley uses the "they did it too" argument, as an attempt to get people to back down from calling out the Beck/Palin arm of the Tea Party comglomerate. Deflect, deflect, deflect.

The anons are behaving like obtuse, entitled jackasses as usual. The anons really are proving that they don't give a shit about innocent children being killed over the political bullshit their political compatriots stir up.

"But the solution is obvious in the Black Community...develop COURAGE and stop being such fearful cowardly adults. Be responsible and join together to parent black children. Have neighborhood watch that turn those drug addicts and street pirates in.

Countless numbers of people do the above every day in their own neighborhoods. It might seem like it only makes a small dent in the overall problem, but at least they are trying to make a difference.

"But you won't because you are too afraid to call the police. Blacks have yet to grow up and become adults. We have yet to experience what it means to be adults focused on the solution. Like I said before, all we do is TALK, but no action."

You do have many people who, either out of a belief that it's "someone else's problem" or out of self-preservation thanks to the ever present threat of lethal retribution from street gangs, sit back and do nothing. They talk, but no action follows.

Now about this business about Blacks not "growing up" -- I hope this isn't another one of those instances where someone mentally infantilizes Blacks in order to justify the implementation of authoritarian controls intended on returning Blacks to a more "manageable" state, with absolutely no considerations made for their basic human rights. It wouldn't be a good look on this country to go down that road again.

We may never know for sure whether Palin is "responsible" or not, but "free speech" can incite, and Sarah Palin has said some provocative things during the past two years.

From me she gets no pass.

The woman who coined the phrase "death panels" in reference to end-of-life issues, and advanced directives, and who peppers her speech with references to guns and ammo, is self-condemned.

I would expect any person in society (especially those in prominence) to behave responsibly in their speech and their actions, and not hide behind "free speech" rights as a way to disavow their behavior.

It's the difference between those with a conscience, and those without, and the difference between caring for one's fellow man and woman, and not caring.

Poplawski is currently awaiting trial.

-- April 2009: Another gunman in Okaloosa County, Florida, similarly fearful of Obama's purported gun-grabbing plans, kills two deputies when they come to arrest him in a domestic-violence matter, then is killed himself in a shootout with police.

It's possible the victims at Kent State were liberals. They were killed in 1970 and as a result, the government was permanently subdued.

Simultaneously, inasmuch as you believe the 19 events were tied to the chatter heard by millions and millions of people, then you must also believe that thug-rap music is a central motive in the thousands and thousands and thousands of murders committed by young black males over the same 2.5-year period.

And you must also believe that the rantings of Islamic preachers, imams, leaders of Islamic theocracies and others who further the Islamic agenda are the cause of thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of murders around the globe over the same 2.5-year period.

anonymous,

You are engaging in the usual liberal dopiness of believing that because the rooster crows before sunrise, the crowing has caused the sun to appear on the horizon.

Moreover, it seems to be your goal to take away a Constitutional right to address a non-existent threat.

When the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas came to the attention of the Clinton Administration, the cult was wiped out by federal agents in a shootout/fire that Janet Reno said she authorized to Save the Children.

That's what happens when the government disapproves of weirdos.

Because the Branch Davidian compound was out in the country on flat land, the government could have simply camped out nearby and waited until the food and water at the compound was gone. Very simple.

Instead, Reno gave the order to commence firing. If this plan was considered the best among alternatives, I wonder what plan was considered the Worst-Case-Scenario.

Anyway, if you're planning to restrict speech, and you obviously are, then we will have to assess which speech is most clearly tied to death and mayhem.

Unfortunately for you, the analysis will show that thug-rap and Islamic hate-mongering are the biggest offenders. Then what?

Does that mean we throw every thug-rapper in jail? Do we boot every muslim out of the country?

Really? Have you got an example of this?

Remarkably, it appears that no blacks at this site have memories that inlude the 1960s.

The 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago was defined by violence committed by liberals. Perhaps a few people here recall the names of Abbie Hoffman, Dave Dellinger and some of the other members of the Chicago Seven.

During the 1960s there were violent confrontations between liberals and police in many cities around the country.

Then there was the 1972 shooting of George Wallace, a southern politician who for many years was known as a face of racism.

Wallace was shot by Arthur Bremer. The shooting left Wallace paralyzed from the waist down.

Larry Flynt, publisher of Hustler, was also shot and paralyzed, but no one was caught for that crime.

Clearly Flynt was shot by someone who hated the way he indulged his rights of Free Speech. In that earlier time Flynt could only dream about the day when porn would be as available as it is now.

So, how will you spin this? It would have been good for leftards if they took the high road and tried to reason versus being the typical finger pointing without foundation angry children. Now the truth is out, the leftard position is even further weakened. Proving what most adults already know.

You cannot trust the emotionally and intellectually disadvantaged to use critical thinking.

Looking forward to hearing FN, Granny and MackLying take on the truth.

(TV Newser) — This morning on “Good Morning America,” ABC’s Ashleigh Banfield sat down with Zach Osler, a high school friend of Jared Loughner, the suspect in the Tucson massacre.

Osler says his friend wasn’t shooting at people, “he was shooting at the world.” Regarding the high-pitched talk radio and cable news political rhetoric, Osler says his friend didn’t even watch the news.

He did not watch TV. He disliked the news. He didn’t listen to political radio. He didn’t take sides. He wasn’t on the left. He wasn’t on the right.

funny you did not mention hard rock or heavy metal.

When I think of heavy metal I think of mosh pits and head-bangers. But not gang-bangers.

Let me know if you can recall any examples of heavy-metal-heads who committed murder or other violent crime because they were driven to it by the music in their heads.

I'll give you this much. I recall two young guys -- around 19 or 20 -- who decided, based on their devotion to a heavy-metal band, to kill themselves.

They went up on the rooftop of a warehouse to shoot themselves. One put the shotgun under his chin and fired. He died on the spot.

The second guy put the shotgun under his chin and fired. But before firing he tilted his head back enough that the shot ripped off his jaw and part of his face, but missed his brain. He lived, though I believe he died a few years later.

The story was published in the Village Voice in the 1990s. The mothers of the two young white males tried to sue the heavy metal band for driving their sons to their horrifying acts.

The mothers sued and lost.

No one should worry about Glen Beck because it will be only a matter of time. His mother committed suicide so he's not too well wrapped. I bet he's seeing a therapist to deal with that and the drug use and destructive behavior over the years may have been him dealing with that also.
Money or environment etc, doesn't make or break a person, it's what they're made of that does that and he's made of weak stuff.
You can see it in his face. The undefined hairline because of the color of his hair and skin, the queer cheeks and the smug smile that is a mask. Any kind of pressure that gets to him will spiral him down and out just like Mom.

Okay. True. So he had an obsession with her. However his "anti-government" rants were of the Martian variety. Bizarre tautologies that made zero sense and confused rants about grammar, government mind control and literacy.

Hezbollah Forces Collapse of Lebanese Government

Hezbollah and its allies forced the collapse of thegovernment on Wednesday, deepening a crisis over a United Nations-backed tribunal investigating the assassination of aformer prime minister.

Eleven of the cabinet's 30 ministers announced their resignations, a move that dissolves the government. They said they were prompted to act by the cabinet's refusal to convene an emergency session to oppose the tribunal, which is expected to indict members of Hezbollah.

Ten of the ministers announced their resignations just as Prime Minister Saad Hariri was meeting with President Obama in Washington. The opposition had hoped that all 11 ministers would resign together, to bring down the government at that time and embarrass Mr. Hariri to the maximum.

This is how we "Leftards" are going to spring it o snickering one.
Him watching TV or listening to the news doesn't have to be the motive.
You see, thoughts are things and there are about us every moment. Certain thoughts build up energy because of the nature of similar thoughts to group together and it comes to a point where that energy had to discharge and it usually follows the path of least resistance. E.g I think an angry thought and I color that thought with anger. The same goes for hate and all human emotions, It goes out from my mind and is attracted to another mind and thought that is angry so the energy is increased and so it goes until it or this thought form heavy with anger is attracted to a mind that cannot withstand it and instead discharges. As how water goes into the clouds and build up until it rains. Why do you think most people who commit these crimes marvel at what was done and the first words out of their mouths are usually "I didn't do it or it wasn't me" that is because even though they are responsible for the ACT and must deal with the consequences they were carried along by their weakness, however all of us whom have contributed to that thought form bears some complicity in the final act. His friends were not with him 24/7 and many of us are sometimes private even with out closest friends.
The point is that Palin and those clever folks know how to speak to the bigots and fools. Play with their emotions because intellect is not working and even if it is,override it so ignorance has full control of the field. They wouldn't come out and say it but they will skirt it, give a taste here and there, and especially ridicule because they know that if they play it dead serious like the Nazi's and come out and direct their crowds instead of playing with them like they have been doing, there will be more shootings and they will be directly responsible instead of complicit like they are in this case.
There is a book that is free on the net ,try Google books. THOUGHT FORMS by Annie Besant or C W Ledbetter. They can give a better description than me about these things.

Sarah Palin, the "Blood Libel," and Jewish Democrats in the Crosshairs
Chip Berlet
Wed Jan 12, 2011 at 10:25:47 AM EST
It is not surprising that someone who thinks she can see Russia while hunting on the shores of Alaska would claim she is the target of the "Blood Libel" for being held morally accountable for her malicious rhetoric.
The "Blood Libel" is the term used to describe the centuries old malicious and false claim that Jews kidnap Gentile children to drain their blood and use it to make Matzos used in religious rituals.

It is a sick irony that Rep. Garbrielle Giffords, the target of the Tucson terror rampage, is Jewish.

In the neonazi Political Right it is easy to find references to the claim that Jews not only kidnap children for their ghoulish ritual murder, but also the claim that Jew Bankers and their liberal allies control the currency of the United States and manipulate the economy and politics of our country.

These claims are lifted from the infamous hoax forgery The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, first circulated to a mass audience in Russia in the early 20th century.
Neonazi Jonathan Williams, in an essay titled "Jews Are Burning America," at the Twelve Aryan Nations website, warns that Jews make it clear in "the pages of the `Protocols' about the need to possess Gold. Their sense of stability comes from their greed. Their exploitation of WHITE History, and their exploitation of the Negro for purposes of entertainment, shows their willingness to serve their Wicked Keeper at all costs."

and cont.

The motives of the accused shooter in the Tucson rampage, Jared Lee Loughner, are unclear and further blurred by apparent delusions. Yet there are clues in his online posts that he picked up some of his ideas about a government conspiracy from right-wing sources. He is especially concerned with money manipulation and felt that current U.S. currency was invalid because it was not backed by silver or gold. Some of these ideas can be found in the writings of Ron Paul, the Republican Congressman from Texas, and in the pages of publications from the John Birch Society, a "Patriot" right-wing group.

In this blog, however, I will focus on the neonazi sector of the Political Right and their antisemitic claims about Jew Bankers lifted from the Protocols. The Protocols themselves claim that the Freemason fraternal order is part of the conspiracy, with the Jews behind the Freemasons. Another popular variant argues that the secretive Illuminati group infiltrated the Freemasons and continues to control the conspiracy.

Many conspiracy theories replicate the structure and essential accusations found in the Protocols without directly mentioning them by name. Stephen Bronner calls these latter claims "analogs" of the Protocols. Some of these analogs are thinly veiled. The Protocols are a forgery and plagiarized from earlier texts. There are a number of different versions of the Protocols, with different numbered sections, and their authors may have assembled the allegations from a base document that researchers have never found. Nevertheless, the various versions of the Protocols tend to have the same general set of allegations:

Jews manipulate the economy, especially through banking monopolies and the power of gold,
Jews encourage issuing paper currency not tied to the gold standard,
Jews promote financial speculation and use of credit,
Jews use liberalism to weaken church and state,
Jews control the press,
Jews work through radicals and revolutionaries,
Jews replace traditional educational curriculum to discourage independent thinking,
Jews encourage immorality among Christian youth,
Jews use intellectuals to confuse people,
Jews control "puppet" governments both through secret allies and by blackmailing elected officials,
Jews work through Masonic lodges,
Jews weaken laws through liberal interpretations,
Jews will suspend civil liberties during an emergency and then make the measures permanent.
Jews are behind a plan for global conquest,
What is remarkable is that before and after the publications of the Protocols, an almost identical set of claims were made against other scapegoated targets, including Freemasons (and the Illuminati), Catholics, plutocrats, agents of the Antichrist, communists, and assorted other so-called "secret elites."

Today many of these claims are used by right-wing demagogues on television and radio to attack Democrats, liberals, and leftists. Rep. Garbrielle Giffords is lying critically wounded in a hospital from a would-be assassin's bullet It would be refreshing if right-wing demagogues, including Sarah Palin, would take a quick refresher course on the historic outcomes of campaigns of vilification and demonization. At the very least they should be sensitive to the historic scapegoating of Jews represented by the Blood Libel.

They should also stop inadvertantly plagiarizing the Protocols of the Elders of Zion for the venomous material attacking Democrats as traitors out to destroy America. Words have consequences.

There are buzillions of dem chickens yet to "come home to roost"; so hold onto your seat.
We are drowning in a tsunami of clinical ignorance/bigotry - to wit the tens of millions of our fellow citizens suffer from varying degrees of delusions, hallucinations and illogical departures from realities. For example:
Nine out of ten catholic amerikkkans believe in the "virgin birth".
Four out of five amerikkkans believe that a "messiah" will "return to Earth" in their lifetime.
Three out of five amerikkans cannot name the three branches of government.

@eric- thanks for adding those points about what is being done in the black community and especially for including all of whats done, including the profiling and the constant violation of the rights of black folks.

However the solution to the violence in the black community is as plain as the nose on our faces. Blaming parents wholesale is obviously silly. Are folks blaming the parents of the crazed young man in Tucson for his actions? Of course not? Parents, even the best of them, can do only so much.

No the answer lies in what most don't have the courage to acknowledge. The answer is simply equal access and equal opportunity, as well as acknowledging that black folks are equal members of the human race.

Provided that the inner cities in the US would change overnight. No doubt some will be too beaten down, too critically injured and too mentally marred to walk through the opened door. But most folks know in their hearts what they deny with their lips. And that is if these young people were promised a real future ( quality public education, quality health care, available daycare, living wage jobs, professional opportunities in which they were allowed to compete on their merits) and a real part in Americana the vast majority would relish the opportunity.

But that's not going to happen as long as we lack the vision to fight for it and the hope that it can be obtained.

At this point there's no evidence that Loughner ever listened to any talk radio.

On the other hand, he himself stated on his Myspace page that two of his favorite books are the Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf.

Inasmuch as he says they are two of his favorites, should we not take him at his word and ban those books?

Let's have some Farenheit 451 here in America. However, if it is admitted that the sum total of every thought in Loughner's head combined to send him out on his murderous rampage, we have to also look at the other books on his list of favorites.

To Kill a Mockingbird, for example. Shall we ban Mockingbird along with the Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf?

Oh. Yeah. Sure. How do you explain the fact that almost every African nation is a complete sewer?

How do you explain Haiti, a black nation that is worse than a sewer?

Here in NY City the black kids, the hispanic kids, the asian kids and the white kids go to elementary school together. Most grade schools are racially mixed.

Moreover there is a gifted program in NY City that begins in kindergarten. Kids are tested and if they score high enough, they are accepted.

In fact, plenty of black kids enter the gifted program in kindergarten.

However, when kids are tested for entry into competitive middle schools -- grades 6, 7 and 8 -- few black kids score well enough to get into the good middle schools. Almost all the black kids in the gifted programs drop back into schools that are okay but but ranked below the first tier.

When it comes to getting into the top competitive high schools in NY City -- Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Tech, Bronx Science -- the percentage of black kids enrolled in these schools falls again, dropping to less than 10%, depending on the school.

There's no secret that asians dominate these schools. Their work ethic and the expectations and influence of their parents are the factors that lead them to get high scores on the entrance exams.

It is an obvious fact of human history and of contemporary American society that few blacks become proficient at math and science. For blacks, things are subpar in the English department too.

"Remarkably, it appears that no blacks at this site have memories that inlude the 1960s."

The only thing remarkable is the lack of historical knowledge that would allow someone to make this statement.

Black folks will never and can never forget the kind of terror that was unleashed on them by many of their fellow citizens, law enforcement and sometimes the federal governemnt for simply trying to assert their civil rights-- in a nation in which they were supposed to be guaranteed-- as well as their rights as human beings.

A quote from a New York Times article today, about a reporters quest to solve a 1964 case, in which a black shop owner was burned to death in Louisiana, reminded me of just how horrific those days were at times.

“What kind of human being could set another man on fire?” he said. “I was just curious about something that happened in our community that I never knew about. I just wanted to find out who did it.”

He was murdered in the Audobon Ballroom, shotgunned to death by black assassins, one of whom was recently released from prison and now lives not too far from me in Brooklyn.

By the way, Louis Farrakhan was part of the plot to kill Malcolm X. But Louis is still running the NOI.

How much brainwashing is the NOI responsible for? How many crimes -- murders -- have been committed in the name of the NOI?

How many members of the NOI have extensive criminal records?

You would have at least expected AB to have flamed him by now, or LAA to give him a treatise on Jewish shortcomings when it comes to Blacks, or Focused Purpose to take him to task for Isreal's treatment of Arabs.

For example the self hating Jew (self hating because his folks are originally from Canaan and were Afro-Asiatic in other words dark skinned) yesterday accused sub-Saharan Africans of being cannibals, which of course is an absolute lie.

This same guy continues to deny the prevalence of African civilizations that flourished, while Europeans floundered in the Dark and Middle Ages. Yet no one challenged him.

This guy continues to put down African nations without anyone at least trying to explain how the Europeans helped make them that way, through colonization, neo-colonization and now just good old fashioned imperialist exploitation and uneven trade and multi-national corporate plunder.

To this day their corporations continue to take out minerals and other resources, without giving back much in return and actually encourage corruption.

But he is allowed to make unchallenged assertions without acknowledging how many of these African states got where they are. And nobody is smart enough to mention that had the situation been reversed this country and Europe would be struggling as well.

Yet this vicious interloper claims that all of Africa is undemocratic and no one not, even all of the hyper Afrocentric brothers and sisters that read this blog mention the great democratic example of Ghana.

Nobody is even bold enough to point out that Isreal which discriminates against its Arab citizens is not a democracy and that it behaves like crazed barbarians toward the Palestinians whom they have occupied and practically enslaved.

They say evidence is mounting that alleged gunman Jared Lee Loughner is a disturbed individual with almost incoherent philosophical beliefs. Mr. Loughner is a registered independent who did not vote in the 2010 elections, and his bookshelf includes works more commonly thought to be leftist, such as “The Communist Manifesto,” say some on the right.

So let us compare the real-life cross hairs trained on these innocents to the cartoon crosshairs of the dimwit Sarah Palin, puppet of the neocons. One set of crosshairs is figurative hyperbole equivalent to the cry of Obama in his campaign, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.” But the other in the Wikileaks video is cold blooded, calculated murder. And although that murder occurred on Bush’s “watch,” the same murders continue today under Obama’s direction — not just in Iraq but in Afghanistan and Pakistan — and not just with helicopter gunships but with drones and bombers killing hundreds, if not thousands by now two years into the peace presidency of the Messiah. These are the forces of mass murder which Obama dispatches to the Central Asian killing fields each day. Is this man no less a war criminal than Bush/Cheney?

wonder what goes through the minds of the Democrat Party activists as they avert their gaze from the real crosshairs about which they say so little to the cartoon ones. The Dems seem to be a latter day version of The Fantastiks’s Luisa. Not to defend the dimwit Sarah Palin who has parlayed her beauty and personal charm into a useful tool for the neocons. But who is worse – the phony peace president Obama or the silly, powerless Palin? Or is the death of defenseless civilians at Obama’s hands to be overlooked because they are poor Asians and helpless Muslims, instead of a Congresswoman who is a stalwart for AIPAC?

LAC- no doubt! I am presently involved in a struggle to improve and ultimately hang on to our neighborhood high school. The school board tried to solve the problem by throwing it away to a charter institution, which has an iffy record as well.

Since I am an activist as well as theorist I figured that it would make sense for folks who spent a lot of time criticizing what wasn't happening in the school to get involved helping create a really successful model.

But to my surprise they are sitting it out and leaving it to the activists to get it done. Of course we need more parental involvement, many of them are simply too busy to show up and some of their lack of involvement is understandable.

But what isn't is how our middle class brethren would rather sit on the sidelines (some in the nearby suburbs) and throw rocks rather than saying how can I help.

Here's how. You look at decades of SAT scores, you look at the undergraduate, master's and Phd degrees obtained by blacks.

Bottom line -- compared with whites and asiana, blacks score lower on SATs, both math and English.

IN college, few blacks major in math or science. Fewer still get master's degrees. And it is common for a year or two to go by when NO blacks get Phds in math and some areas of science, like physics.

AB - thats a thought provoking article. But come on you know we don't care about folks dying in the so-called Middle East.

Its embarassing to listen to one of these young soldiers explain why he is in Iraq or Afghanistan, when they say we are defending democracy.

Really. Look at how crazy our society is, people are killing other folks because the government has sent them to fight and they can't explain why they have traveled thousands of miles to kill folks who haven't done anything to them personally or actually attacked their country.

For those who have forgotten or are misinformed, supposedly disciples of Al queda attacked the US on 9/11. Afghanistan was run by the Taliban. And Iraqis are primarily Shiite and Sunni Muslims. And the Pakistanis who are being murdered are supposedly Taliban as well. None of them have attacked the US or were guilty of attacking US citizens before their countries were attacked and invaded by this government.

You are right AB the violence being perpetrated against those folks (there have been 100's of thousands killed)doesn't even compare to the violence we're experiencing here.

Yet this vicious interloper claims that all of Africa is undemocratic and no one not, even all of the hyper Afrocentric brothers and sisters that read this blog mention the great democratic example of Ghana.

Ghana is a nation of 24 million suffering from a rampaging AIDS epidemic.

The median age in Ghana is 21, which is one of the highest median ages in Africa. That's a barely positive statement. Meanwhile, life expectancy is only 60.

Ghana is also about 70% Christian. However, about 16% of the population are muslims. That means things will go down hill with every gain made by muslims.

With respect to the economy, the per-capita GDP of Ghana is $1,500. Rather pathetic next to the US, where that figure is about $40,000.

The country is heavily dependent on international aid and technical help. The only significant industries in Ghana are tied to its natural resources.

The best you can say about Ghana is that it's not a horrible as the other poorer nations of Africa, which are home to about 800 million people.

Blah blah blah. n_s, I have a family member who graduated from Swarthmore with top honors and she majored in Math.

The last time I checked she was black. How do you explain her making better grades than some of her white classmates? Af. Action?

See how silly your exercise is? It's all about the individual and their socialization, not their race.

I swear you should be in one of those schools for Deutsches Jungvolk. :)

Just out of curiosity, Mell....I know you to be intelligent, (but it's hard to get over

No_Slappz, I could explain neo-colonialism to you and why Ghana is poor, but from your postings, it apparent you don't want to know. The answer would not fit neatly into your rather obsessive denigration of Black people. But, in the spirit of intelligent discourse, I offer this answer.

To understand the complex issues that have marred Africa would require an analysis and knowledge of geopolitics, economics and history than the average American can grasp or would rather ignore.

Its a lot easier to believe Africa is filled is with ignorant savages who only have themselves to blame - than to realize that the West has manipulated affairs and often aggravated ethnic and religious disputes in the African continent and throughout the Diaspora for its own geopolitical and economic gains.

This is not to say that Africans are completely hapless, child-like victims of the evil machinations of a secret cabal of old white guys. Again, the answer is as complex system that can't be summed up in sloganeering.

This is to say that a mixture of long standing ethnic feuds, a continual brain drain and purposeful manipulation of political economy has made Africa the continental basket case it appears to be.

Hope that clears up things for you.

Well as my 6th Grad English Teacher used to say "Ignorance is when you act foolishly without proper knowledge, stupidity is when you act as if you're ignorant, even when you know better."

If you continue to act like a fool despite having the knowledge...well, go take up with Mrs. Pollock.

I understand what you're saying, LAC, but it seems like the Chinese are neck-deep in there now. Especially propping up the "Government" of Sudan.

That goes very much unreported.

Oh, no doubt. Chinese is following the US/European model of create puppet regimes to get that paper!

la coincidental,

I can always count on you to spew a lot of verbiage that boils down to "Blame It On Whites."

But your repeated efforts to blame whites for every problem blacks face is an unfortunate way of admitting that blacks are incapable of running their own show -- both individually and collectively.

One of the saddest parts is that you don't even understand what you do when you explain black backwardness as a function of white presence on the globe.

Obviously you know that if the white race never came into existence, the planet would still exist in a state of nature.

field, you wrote:

The best you can do is to give me ONE example of a black math major. ONE.

If you read what I wrote you would know that I stated very small numbers of blacks major in math, science and engineering at the undergraduate level.

At the master's and Phd level, the numbers nose-dive and in some cases hit zero.

Looking at year-by-year results, it is common to find years when the number of blacks earning Phds in math, physics or computer science is ZERO.

You need to focus on facts.

Oh. Next you're going to add to your blame list. Africa's problems are soon to be the fault of whites AND asians.

The new turf war is going between China, Russia, the EU and the US to carve the African resources.

Your excuse-making is becoming legendary.

No_Slappz, once again - your mouth is writing a check your ass can't cash, as the old saying goes.

I know plenty of Black PhD in math and science. I've got a friend at Vanderbilt who has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and another friend with and MD and a PhD in Neuroscience. My mentor in college was a PhD in chemistry. the National Society of Black Engineers highlights plenty of young Black PhDs each year. One of our top Math professors in college was an older Jamaican gentleman. Hell, my girlfriend sister is getting a PhD in public health and her mother has a PhD in finance (that's math, BTW). And don't get me started on how many Black MD's and M. Eng. I know personally.

Another fact for you - the number of Americans in general getting math/sci PhD's is dropping, because ain't no money in getting a PhD. Why spend 6+ years in school beyond your bachelors to come out and have no more earning potential than someone with a Masters in science or an MBA?

Oh, and you proved my point about not understanding the complexity of poverty in Africa. I didn't "blame Whitey", I pointed out that there outside actors who gin up many internal conflicts for monetary gain. In Nigeria alone, there was a recent Haliburton debacle and the Wiki Leaks cable revealing that the US government attempted to cover up for Big Pharma testing unsafe drugs on kids in that country.

Again, you're acting stupidly, because you believe what you want to believe - no matter how much evidence is provided to contrary. And frankly, you're too smart to believe such stupid concepts.

Individual stories do not change systemic, institutional and structural issues. That is the weakest argument there is.

And by the way, do all you know that Malcolm X was a BISEXUAL? I bet the majority of ignorant asses on here didn't know that piece of information about their purported martyr.

White on White killings? Black on Black killings? leftards and rightards? "My ancestors (fill in the blank)"? are you folks all nuts? What the hell does any of this have to do with figuring out why a seriously mentally messed up young man thought it was okie dokey to gun down as many humans as possible in his neighborhood Safeway parking lot.

This guy was sent home from school, told never to to return, due to his eratic "behavoir. Our own educational system knew this individual had obvious mental issues and swept him under the rug. The way we do with most of our mentally impaired.

Maybe we can treat the filthy diabetics who get low at school. Lookie here students all confused... must be a drunk... I don't care that there is a medical reason for it get him the hell out of here.

We can then blame everything from global warming to Wilma Flintstone for the terrible things that happen in our world.

Bet if anyone would have addressed this poor bastards mental issue earlier in his life we would'nt be blaming cross hairs on a map.
