A tale of two universities.

View image on TwitterI am glad that the Dukie who thought that it would be cool to hang a noose on a tree on campus was exposed. I mean how dumb can this guy be? He is possibly throwing away a first rate education because he ...I don't know, thought it would be cool to troll black folks. *shaking head*

Oh well, maybe he can go and join these guys now.

But a story about one ignorant misguided student pales in comparison to what has taken place on another university campus on the other side of the world.

Sadly, it probably won't get as much attention here in America.  But I would like to remind everyone that there was a horrific terrorist attack in Africa today. One hundred and forty seven innocent people killed.

I can't imagine the unspeakable pain that these poor people must be going through.

These animals masquerading as human beings slaughtered innocent college students who never saw it coming. Everyone of them had a name and a loved one who will miss them more than words can  ever describe.

But hey, it wasn't in America, or Western Europe for that matter, so we will not hear about it over and over again on our cable news stations. Imagine, for a second, that such an act had taken place on the campus of the aforementioned Duke University.

Honestly, I need some of you Negroes to realize that it is not only American black lives that matter. Black lives in Africa matter as well. This story isn't trending like it should on black twitter because, sadly, many of you automatically tune out stories when it doesn't involve America.

"The massacre that killed 147 people and wounded scores of others at a Kenyan university lasted for hours Thursday before the terror was over.

"It is a very sad day for Kenya," Interior Ministry Joseph Nkaissery said of the carnage at Garissa University College.

The death toll is the highest in a terror attack on Kenyan soil since the U.S. Embassy was bombed in 1998. More than 200 people died in the Nairobi blast"

Mr.  Nkaissery , it is not only a "sad day" for Kenyans; it is a "sad day" for everyone of us in the diaspora, and human beings everywhere.

Man, schools worldwide should be no gun/violence zones. People trying to educate themselves should be held in such high esteem that no one would dare besmirch an institution of learning.

As far as the Duke noose you just need to stop whining about such things. First we got you to stop stealing car stereos and having bastard kids now if we can work on that whining.

Tell me Field, how is this story trending on 'white' twitter?

How's the story trending on Latino twitter?

Asian twitter?

Here's the deal: Africans don't give a damn about African Americans, esp in America. In fact, they are just as prejudiced against us as Whites and Latinos are. In fact, they are taking our jobs and loving every minute of it. Have you heard about the South African Black who is taking over the Daily Show?

Now why couldn't they have filled Jon Stewart's job with a red blooded black American?

It's under the radar racism all over again. It's the same kind Josh tries to use on FN.

So spare me the guilt trip about our so-called caring folks in Africa. They aren't our kin, they love Whites like Josh and Kinky and hate us here in the USA.

And you know it's true.

As for what happened today in Kenya, I think part of the reason Blacks in America may be slow to go "up in arms" about it is because Kenyans aren't known to be too fond of Black Americans. And sadly, that's been my personal experience as well.

The terrorists in Kenya ask their hostages to recite verses from the Koran and they kill anybody they think isn't a Muslim. This type of thing has happened in the past. But some of it is to please evangelical Christians who want the End of Days. I'm proud to be an atheist.

Al Shebaab is getting nastier. This is no joke.

A year and a half ago, they killed 67 in a Kenyan shopping mall. Now they have killed more than twice as many in this latest, horrific attack.

Between Al Shebaab and Boko Haram, Africa seems like it is on it's way to becoming the new Middle East. Nigeria and Kenya had better find a way to stomp out these evil jihadis, pronto, before things really get out of hand!

"Man, schools worldwide should be no gun/violence zones."

I'm not aware of the school in question, but was it not a gun-free zone or something? I don't understand what you're getting at here. Was it a student who carried a gun everyday and then decided in a fit of rage to unleash hell?

...

A horrific tragedy without a doubt. As to America not covering it -- I'm not sure the type of coverage folks expect. If America's not involved, then to what extent do others feel American news outlets should be covering these incidents?

And as to schools being gun-free zones, I happen to be of the mind that if they weren't and law-abiding citizens had guns, these maniacal mass killers could be taken the fuck out before the death toll starting ringing up so high.

I know the visceral fear that causes -- people thinking that everybody with a gun is just going to start shooting everybody else, turning shit into the Wild West. But in reality, just take a look at the fear and loathing directed toward America's right-wing gun nuts, and ask yourselves: How many of those people are the ones shooting schools or doing drive-bys or going on rampages?

The people who carry firearms aren't the ones killing others. It's the criminals who are intent on killing who go procure firearms for that purpose.

We have too big a fear of guns, and what results is that we end up with "zones" that are undefended entirely, at the mercy of killers and victims waiting for the police to save them (boy, that oughta make black folks happy as a clam!) and people end up sitting ducks.

You are right, PilotX, there is no difference between people who slaughter thousands of innocent men, women and children every year just because they are of a different faith, and people who ask not to be forced to bake a cake for a ceremony that is against their religious beliefs.

None at all.

As horrific as the ceaseless murdering done in the name of Islam is, we must always remember that our true enemies are the evangelical Christian types among us who not sufficiently enthusiastic about normalizing sodomy.

To that end we must eliminate any opposition to our world view using our control of state institutions to crush all dissent.

Field you described those who committed the carnage as "animals masquerading as human beings." I would not have understated because I do believe there are those among us that are not as evolutionary developed as others, especially in the cerebral cortex area. That is off the point.

Those same people are attacking a form of democracy crafted by the great Thurgood Marshall and his Kenyan friends. His hope of exporting his idea of a egalitarian democracy within a constitution guaranteeing minority population rights. Bill, my personal, very negative experience with a Kenyan came after a lab mate from a couple doors down (young White guy) complimented me. I was an undergraduate student working in a research lab and the Kenyan was a PostDoc in the same lab.

When we returned to the lab he said that it was impossible for me to be beautiful because my skin was light as a result of having White ancestors. He added that African women are the only beautiful Black women on the planet, then he dissed me for being a Christian as he was a Muslim. The last thing he did was imply that Black Americans aren't very smart.

I won't repeat here what I said back to him because that occurred before I learned to better "filter" my words, LOL. Suffice it to say that he never said another derogatory word (or any other word for that matter) to me again for the rest of my tenure with that group, LOL!!!

Since that time, I've had similar experiences with Africans (though not on the beauty thing as much) mainly on the point about Black Americans not being as smart as they are. But that's easily cleared up by my GPA, test scores, CV/resume, and work ethic.

I spent a long time on the phone last night with a law professor at one of the country’s elite law schools. This professor is a practicing Christian, deeply closeted in the workplace; he is convinced that if his colleagues in academia knew of his faith, they would make it very hard for him. We made contact initially by e-mail -- he is a reader of this blog -- and last night, by phone. He agreed to speak with me about the Indiana situation on condition that I not identify him by name or by institution....

I will call him ProfessorX after the noted anti-Christian FN poster PilotX.

Like me, what unnerved ProfessorX is not so much the details of the Indiana law, but the way the overculture treated the law. "When a perfectly decent, pro-gay marriage religious liberty scholar like Doug Laycock, who is one of the best in the country -- when what he says is distorted, you know how crazy it is."

"Alasdair Macintyre is right," he said. "It's like a nuclear bomb went off, but in slow motion." What he meant by this is that our culture has lost the ability to reason together, because too many of us want and believe radically incompatible things.

But only one side has the power. When I asked ProfessorX what most people outside elite legal and academic circles don't understand about the way elites think, he said "there’s this radical incomprehension of religion."

"They think religion is all about being happy-clappy and nice, or should be, so they don’t see any legitimate grounds for the clash," he said. "They make so many errors, but they don’t want to listen."

To elites in his circles, ProfessorX continued, "at best religion is something consenting adult should do behind closed doors. They don’t really understand that there’s a link between Sister Helen Prejean's faith and the work she does on the death penalty. There's a lot of looking down on flyover country, one middle America.

"The sad thing," he said, "is that the old ways of aspiring to truth, seeing all knowledge as part of learning about the nature of reality, they don't hold. It's all about power. They've got cultural power, and think they should use it for good, but their idea of good is not anchored in anything. They’ve got a lot of power in courts and in politics and in education. Their job is to challenge people to think critically, but thinking critically means thinking like them. They really do think that they know so much more than anybody did before, and there is no point in listening to anybody else, because they have all the answers, and believe that they are good."

On the conservative side, said ProfessorX, Republican politicians are abysmal at making a public case for why religious liberty is fundamental to American life.

"The fact that Mike Pence can’t articulate it, and Asa Hutchinson doesn’t care and can’t articulate it, is shocking,” ProfessorX said.

Yes, there is a difference. In the U.S., far-right Christians make up a smaller percentage of the populace than far-right Muslims do in the Middle East.

Also, we have powerfully equipped and trained security forces that have the ability to go after violent terrorists, whereas large sections of the Middle East are effectively failed states in which all authority has broken down.

All things being equal, if our extremist Christians had their way, they'd be chucking gays off buildings like ISIS do, not refusing to bake them cakes. They don't do this violent stuff mostly because they CAN'T -- the rest of us won't let them get away with it.

I'm not inclined to give them any credit for that.

You didn't mention the reason, either. Al-Shebaab didn't attack this university at random. They attacked it to punish Kenya, because the Kenyan army is attacking al-Shebaab in Somalia.

Yes, it is true that they attacked the Christian students and spared the Muslim ones (at least in so far as they were able to tell them apart; no idea how they did that). Al-Shebaab claims to speak for all Muslims, and they at least have to keep up that pretense.

But it's not like Kenyan Muslims agree with this. The Muslim university students didn't mail al-Shebaab an invitation reading, please come and murder all our Christian classmates.

Elsewhere in the Middle East, ISIS claim to speak for all Muslims, but who have they actually killed? Mostly Muslims.

As ever, just because jihadis claim to speak on behalf of all Muslims, that doesn't mean they do. The vast majority of Muslims everywhere think these guys are assholes.

Who, Exactly, Should We Punish for Not Digging Gay Marriage?

It's a more interesting question than you might think. Should we punish aged, mentally-fading 67 year old grandmas, like, for example, Hillary Clinton, who opposed gay marriage until last year?

What about grandmas generally? Are we going to strip grandma of the sexual modesty that served her well for 70 years, right near the end of her days?

How about it, granny? Shouldn't you be up to go to a dinner at that Chinese place in New York where you get served by transvestites? What, Granny -- do you not celebrate their culture?

How about blacks, who are more opposed to gay marriage than whites? Will our cadres of quivering whitebread twitternerd crusaders put black owned businesses out of business over a lack of sufficient enthusiasm for gay shit?

How about, as so many keep asking -- Muslim bakeries?

Well, Steven Crowder, actually went to find out.

Yup -- he went there.

And when I say "There," I mean Muslim bakeries:

Looks like Mr. Blah People wants to destroy the separation of church and state.
---

Do you even understand what the original concept of "separation of church and state" meant?

The first amendment to the Constitution states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

The federal government was forbidden from making laws that favored one religion over another or laws that interfered with people practicing their religion.

That's it. Nothing about forbidding communities from putting Christmas trees outside City Hall, nothing about bakers having to make cakes for two dudes who want to play house.

When the state forces people to make products or pay for products for their employees that violate their religious beliefs, they are violating the first amendment.

Progressive Radical Equalitarianism has become the established state religion and laws are being created that criminalize the free exercise of rival religions.

"I expect to die in bed, my successor will die in prison, and his successor will die a martyr in the public square. His successor will pick up the shards of a ruined society and slowly help rebuild civilization, as the church has done so often in human history." - Cardinal Francis Eugene

Perhaps it will not come to that. But we already are on the precipice of sending men with guns to the homes and businesses of bakers to enforce compliance with dictates undreamt-of the day before yesterday.

Yes, render unto Caesar, and all that. But render only what is Caesar's - and not one mite more.

This is nothing short of tyranny.

Ace Freely Wins Again!

We are getting closer to intellectual honesty.
Progressive Radical Equalitarianism as a religion is an excellent description of this movement. Bill and country lawyer, welcome to the discussion.

There is a # with all pertinent information if you want to search for it. His name is Demonte Marcellus Easterling and he was admitted in January as part of an educational halfway program. Apparently he was not readily accepted by the other students. He displayed zero athletic prowess and was frequently questioned about his background.

Demonte always wears long sleeves and pants because he does not want his classmates to see his many (mostly amateur) tattoos. He rushed Kappa Alpha Psi but was not the kind of brother they wanted. It's been a dismal two months for Demonte and he waned to strike back at Duke and teen age kids who had ridiculed him (Demonte is 27).

Demonte is currently home with his mother, MyShayla KeOnna King, in southeast Washington, DC. MyShayla has refused to speak with the press.

There is speculation that this incident might violate the terms of Demonte's parole.
