I have never been to Iowa, and unless I have a very rich relative who lives there and says that as a condition of his or her will I have to visit, it's a safe bet that it is one place that I will never visit in my lifetime.
Visiting Iowa is just not on my bucket list of things to do before I visit that ganja farm in the sky.
Anyway, Iowa has been in the news recently because a person who the citizens of that state sent to Washington, Steve King, tweeted the following comment in support of Dutch politician, Geert Wilders:
"Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can't restore our civilization with somebody else's babies". [Source]
Maybe it would be a good idea if republican politicians just stay off twitter for awhile.
Speaking of staying of twitter, Herr trump must be wishing that he did just that when he accused former president Obama of wiretapping his phone last week.
Now the house intelligence committee is demanding that trump provides proof or evidence that Barak Obama wiretapped trump tower by tomorrow. This should be fun. Since we all know that there is no proof or evidence of such a wiretap, as we (like trump) know that it didn't happen.
Trump threw a grenade into the public discourse and ran off and hid, and now his surrogates and fellow gang members in the republican party are tired of answering for him while he sits back in the cut and says nothing.
"I think the president has one of two choices: either retract or to provide the information that the American people deserve, because, if his predecessor violated the law, President Obama violated the law, we have got a serious issue here, to say the least," Sen. John McCain said." [Source]
You can't just lie and hide from the lie forever. Even if you are the president of the United States.
