*Bad timing. (Again)

"He could be anywhere on the Earth today, and he chose Alaska!"

That was our girl Sarah talking about Glenn Beckkk, who hooked up with her on September 11th to hold one of those rallies that just makes you want to keep running to the bathroom. Yes Sarah, and you two clowns could have chosen any other day to hold your rally but you chose September 11th. Wow, using a solemn day in our country's history to sell tickets and hold a crass political event for profit is beyond the pale, even for these two clowns. But we should have known that this was possible, as one of them has d0ne this before. Stay classy folks.

Finally, to a far more serious subject: (No, not the guy from Kentucky who decided to take out five people because he didn't like how his wife cooked his eggs. "One less bell to answer, one less, egg to fry..." let me stop.) There is a serious cholera epidemic in Nigeria, (over 800 died so far and 13,000 sickened) and it's spreading to neighboring countries as I write this. I know that most of you reading this do not know about this story and you probably don't care, but you should. It's really scary stuff with global implications.
And, speaking of scary, the black unemployment rate has increased at a rate of over 700% higher than it has for our fellow white citizens. Boy I sure hope that this latest education initiative from his O ness works. We need it now more than ever.

*Should have been bad.

la coincidental, you wrote:

Except for one thing -- the reason why 'thugs run African nations' is because the West made sure of that since the 'end' of colonialism.

Well, it took no time at all to blame black incompetence on whites.

la coincidental, the longstanding swamp of African reality is a product of decades of black leadership. By blaming the problems on some legacy of colonialism, you are stating that blacks are incapable of setting things right.

History suggests you are correct. Virtually every nation in Africa is a mess and the entire world is aware. For decades sympathetic volunteers and aid workers have tried to improve life in Africa. A relative of mine has been working in a small South African town for the past few years. Of course things are as hopeless as ever.

Why are blacks unable to create functional governments and economies? Singapore went from being an asian sewer to one of the most successful and energetic nations on the planet in 40 years.

The corporations in West and now China have pretty much made sure that only crazed despotic incompetents are running nations like Nigeria and have actively worked to ensure that the people of these countries (either directly or through their elected governments) have virtually no control over their resources.

As always, your hopelessly naive grasp of economics does you in.

There is far, far, far more money to be made through building a prospering, peaceful, diverse economy than operating on a limited basis, in precarious circumstances as companies do in Africa. Especially Nigeria, where oil workers can get shot by various opponents.

It's all about democracy, freedom, capitalism and how NONE of it exists in nations like Nigeria.

LAA, "Anyway, I'm off to prepare for daily arbitration disputes, you sitting ducks are not going to drain me today over foolishness."

Good for you, LAA. One thing I can't figure out about you and AB. That is, why do you respond to UTS anyway? Clearly he is not right in the head, which makes it futile to discuss anything with someone who is blinded by false pride, gradiosity and childishness. I mean, why play a useless game with ignorance?

Clean water is going to the next gold rush in the 3rd world.

No. It won't. The supply of water in this world is constant. Water is not created nor destroyed. The same old water circulates and recirculates.

The only intermediate factor is the process of cleaning it.

Responsible leaders ensure clean water supplies by following the well known path to that goal. But as long as African leaders are stealing every nickel collected from sales of natural resources, there's no chance Africans will enjoy abundant supplies of potable water.

Hence, in Africa, every year, the death toll from drinking dirty water will remain in the millions.

Teh responsibility is on African leaders. Blaming long-gone colonialists is merely a cover-up for black corruption and incompetence.

MackLying, "It's Nigeria. Most of our Caucasian audience could care less about the trials and tribulations of an African country, except when it involves celebrity-promoted causes or the World Cup."

Black Americans don't give a hoot about Africa either. So, don't act like we do.

aint that the truth anon 601 we really do have issues with africa and relating to africans as our brethren eyeve heard so many ignint comments like africa is a country lol! and people in africa have no education notwithstanding the legacy of intellectual development from africa since antiquity the world is ignint about africa but another aspect of divide and conquer is to make the colonized mind hate its origins and separate the colonized from their roots then the cnlonized want to emulate their masters and do away with the old ways

as to that nasty cretinous sow whose tried to dominate the comments nice seeing u run into a wall u worthless wench! u r only getting what u deserve chriflin chrick!

You are confusing comfortable middle class Hispanics in Arizona, California, Florida and New Jersey with Central American immigrants who are working the worst jobs and catching hell. Many of these folks are much more politicized than even the average American they know what time it is."

On point.

But why is it so easy to see that latinos are stratified and diverse in their politics and existence but not black folks?

As usual, you start out OK then veer off into right wing nonsense that shows little understanding of geo-politics.

Water table is constant, yes. And drinkable water is stable, so long as there are not extraneous outside factors introduce into the environment or an excessive use one way on the other. Yes, the rivers in Nigeria aren't probably going to dry up in the next century, but pollution will make them undrinkable. India is facing a similar problem.

Here's a book on the subject:
http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Covenant-Global-Crisis-Coming/dp/1595584536/ref=pd_sim_b_2

And I'm not excusing corrupt African politicians -- my girlfriend's family is from Nigeria and they can tell plenty of stories about corruption. My point is Western corporations have propped up these goons for decades until they're no longer useful. Hell, we propped up Saddam Hussein until he became too much of a pest, and we're still propping up the Saudis.

You should read Frantz Fanon's "Wretched of the Earth" and the concept of 'post colonial client states'.

Short synopsis of the theory, when the western colonial powers left Africa, they typically took the educated natives and infrastructure with them. Or, in the case of Haiti, ensure that the former colony amassed an insurmountable debt. Either way the former colony becomes dependent on their former colonizers to advance.

"What kind of bill could be passed that would lower black unemployment specifically? A law requiring every business to fire two crackers and a Mexican and hire three negros? You don't want a rising tide to lift all boats, just the black ones! How you gonna do that, Mack?"

"Your thinking is simplistic and zero-sum."

No, racial spoils systems are zero-sum; the rising tide metaphor recognizes the synergies inherent in free economies.

"Government staying off the backs of business is what brought along the recent bank failures, necessitating a government bailout."

WRONG. Government pushing banks to make loans to poor credit risks so as to increase the home ownwership percentage of certain groups caused the banking failures.

Off topic, but you do realize don't you that Desis would more than cringe at the thought of being considered "negroes"?

Just wondering because you have the Indo-Pak tennis duo in the corner referred to as "field negroes".

Desis don't identify with Africans at all. In fact, they go out of their way to avoid that association.

That might be true, but I do not have them styled as field Negroes. Rather, they are "Honorary" field Negroes.

I don't know these two individuals, and you might be right about them. But what I do know is that what they did was a good thing for the peace process between those two countries.

The Black dropout rate in High School in some parts of the country is 50% part of the reason for the high unemployment rate. You have to be educated to compete for the jobs and industries of the future.
Blacks have enough wealth to pool their money together create businesses and jobs but there's so much hating with each other they wont do business with each other.
So what needs to be done? Educate your kids, it's not Obamas job to educate your kids. It's your job. And quit crying about what someone isn't doing for Black Folks. Black Folks need to do for themselves. I've been hearing this same sound and dance far too long. Give me give me give me.
