The tax man cometh for the Tea Party, and Darrel's pants is on fire.

What's all the fuss about the IRS targeting the Tea Party? S**t happens with the IRS. Just ask Wesley, Lauren, and Redd. And I know that they allegedly broke the law and the Tea Party did not, but I didn't hear folks making a fuss when W's IRS targeted the NAACP back in 2004. Besides, anytime you can make Mark Levin miserable that's a good thing.

"The Internal Revenue Service is auditing the NAACP, scrutinizing the nation's oldest civil rights group after its chairman gave a stinging criticism of the Bush administration in a speech this summer.

Julian Bond's July 11 comments at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's convention in Philadelphia chastised President Bush for being the first sitting president since Herbert Hoover not to address the group.

Bush declined the group's invitation to speak, while Democratic candidate Sen. John Kerry accepted.

In a letter dated Oct. 8, the IRS Tax Exempt and Government Division informed the NAACP's national office in Baltimore of the investigation.
The letter said the probe was limited to " ... whether or not your organization has intervened in a political campaign. ... "
Bond said yesterday that the audit was "an attempt to silence the NAACP" right before a tight presidential election.

"They are saying if you criticize the president we are going to take your tax exemption away from you," he said. "It's pretty obvious that the complainant was someone who doesn't believe George Bush should be criticized, and it's obvious of their response that the IRS believes this, too."
In a statement, IRS Commissioner Mark W. Everson said the agency could not comment on activities involving specific tax-exempt organizations, but he rejected Bond's claims.

"Any suggestion that the IRS has tilted its audit activities for political purposes is repugnant and groundless," the statement said.

The IRS letter states that Bond's speech "condemned the administration policies of George W. Bush on education, the economy and the war in Iraq."
The letter goes on to note that the NAACP's 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status prohibits "directly or indirectly participating or intervening in any political campaign on behalf of, or in opposition to, any candidate for public office."
Tool of both parties

Bruce Payne, a lecturer in public policy at Duke University, said administrations, both Democratic and Republican, have used the IRS to harass political opponents." [Source]

Nothing to see here folks, move along.

Finally, Darrel Issa has been implying that Hillary and the White House has been lying and covering up about the B word. But  guess what; we know that he is a liar.

"An exchange on Sunday morning’s Meet The Press illustrates how even the most subtle distinction can carry heavy political undertones. In discussing this week’s hearings on Benghazi, Rep. Darrel Issa (R-CA) asserted that Ambassador Thomas Pickering, who led the Accountability Review Board on Benghazi, “refused to come before our committee.”

Amb. Pickering jumped in to correct him, saying “That is not true,” and telling host David Gregory that “I said the day before the hearings, I was willing to appear, to come to the very hearings that he excluded me from.” [Source]

Nothing "subtle" about what Mr. Issa was doing; the man was lying plain and simple, and props to Ambassador Pickering for calling him on it.

That was because it didn't happen.

If it had, it would have been the lead story on every network news program for weeks.

This time, the culprits have been cold busted. Wonder how this plays out in the media?

Now go the fuck to sleep, says Big Brother Obama. Larry Correia takes exception:

Let’s see… The first American president that’s actually had to argue that he’s not a dictator, who has to have a big debate over whether it is okay to just waste American citizens on US soil without any due process, who broke thousands of federal laws in order to ship guns to Mexican drug cartels to drum up phony stats against his political enemies, and who blamed a terrorist attack on a YouTube video, says that the idea that potential tyranny looms is just silly.

Sounds legit to me!

Sure, Barack Obama has grown the federal leviathan bigger and stronger and more intrusive than it has ever been, and it was already bloated, absurd, and terrifying before, but talking about how this government could become too powerful and thus tyrannical like all of the other governments in human history which did the same thing before… well, that’s just crazy talk!

Why, one wonders, is it important to Obama that Americans "reject these voices", the voices that "incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity" and of lurking tyranny?

We know his executive branch is actively targeting political foes in a way that not even Nixon or Clinton ever dared. We know that his administration regularly lies to the press and the public, about Benghazi and about the IRS investigations. We know he is openly claiming the legal right to assassinate any American, inside or outside U.S. borders, without due process. And we know he is seeking to disarm the American people.

So, with all due respect, I submit it would be unwise to heed his advice. First, it is simple fact that government is a separate entity; it is neither the people nor the nation. Second, while government is not necessarily and intrinsically sinister, the actions of the current U.S. government and the present administration most certainly are.

Field, you are one mean unforgiving far Left Dem. Do you know this is the year 2013? Let the Bush stuff go, my brother...it's over. Repeat, it's over.

Today, the IRS was dead wrong and that's why they had to apologize to Mr Levin. He did nothing wrong. But the IRS was very very wrong and should have apologized.

The fuss is the IRS has been harassing the Tea Party and Mark Levin and that is just plain wrong. GET IT?

Stop living in the past, Field. As Anon said in a previous comment, this is 2013. George Bush has been 'long gone'.

Why haven't you posted about the shooting in New Orleans on Mother's Day? 19 people were shot! And they were all Black. Why haven't you talked about this? Is it because it's your wife's home state of Louisiana?

MR Field, you are such a disappointment when it comes to reporting news and facts about black folks shooting each other..This was a BLACK MASSACRE.

You wingnuts are so predictable.

Four people were actually "massacred" in Southern Indiana around the same time. Why don't u ask me to write about that?

------

Was the Southern Indiana incident also an informal Baby Mama's Day parade like the one in Chocolate City?

You would think, that an incident where 19 people were shot would get the kind of wall-to-wall coverage given to any gun incident these days. However, this incident only involved black people, and thus does not advance the left's agenda of disarming white people. Plus it highlights black dysfunction, which of course is not part of the agenda.

Here are a couple of incongruous quotes from USA Today's story on the New Orleans shootings:

- "Me and mom were going to the second line. I told her I didn't want to go because there are always shots at a second line," Tyler said.

- "This is an extremely unusual occurrence, and we're confident that we will make swift arrests,'' Braden said."

There are always shots, but it's an extremely unusual occurrence.

War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength.

I can't believe you are defending those Negroes who shot up that second line on Mother's Day. What kind of Brother are you? Eff the Indiana massacre, those were Whites and I am sure they will take care of those killers.

The Black question is, Mr Field, what do you have to say about the brothers who shot "19" of our people? Are you just going to ignore that JUST LIKE THE WHITES DO?

Have you become as apathetic for our people as Whites? This should be HEADLINES in every black blog in the country!

I doubt it. Obama voters don't care about little things like dead ambassadors, cover ups, lying to the public, and abuses of power against political opponents. Even things like drone killings of American citizens and unauthorized military operations are okay. We don't even care that he is bankrupting the country and flooding us with third world immigrants. He is our Dear Leader and whatever he wants is best for us.

Well, I guess Obama will be ok and so will Hillary. You support what Field has been saying all along. It makes me sad but "it is, what it is". Democratic voters know how to retain power over those Republicans, don't they? That bothers me but like you said, there are just too many voters devoted to Obama and love the Obama chant.

Obama really is a star isn't he? He has added so much color to politics...it's exciting! Never before in the history of American politics has there been so much interest and high emotions. Isn't it exciting?

Still, I wish something could be done about the Benghazi mess. But America lost its soul years ago before Obama came on the scene. We now owe our soul to the devil.

I think the klanners may go full-on Clinton on Obama over this Benghazi thing. Nothing they've tried yet has even disturbed his smirk, so they're gonna have to go big or go home. Impeachment is the House majority's ultimate whacking-stick,and there's no-where else to go on their current path. Yeah, throw in this IRS Tbagger thing (welcome to the world of protest politics Tbaggers; enjoy that attention) after it bounces around their echo chamber a bit longer, and it's gong to look like the Frankenstein villagers on Capital Hill.

Of course, like they learned in the '90s, the impeachment power, like a penis, is a great thing to have, but no one really wants to see you whip it out.

So..does that make it right? NO!!!! It only means that this administration is just as corrupt as the last one. We all should have taken a "hint" when Obama supplied US $$$$ to help with the illegal overthrow of one of the few secular governments in the Middle East. Now the new Libyan government has announced SHARIA LAW as the new law of the land. I gave up waiting for Obama and Hillary to say anything about the ethnic cleansing of Black Libyans and African immigrants. I get the feeling that Blacks never really mattered that much to either of them...once they had achieved the positions they desired.
