Well that didn't take long.

  I saw some reruns of trump's rally in Phoenix last night. So much for trying to unify the country.

The man literally told the crowd that we are losing our culture and that he would rather build a wall to keep the Mexicans out than to keep our government running. To top it off, he even hinted that he might pardon the racist sheriff, Joe Arpaio.  

trump was unhinged and out of control, and at one point I honestly thought that he would start waiting for a laugh track after he completed every sentence. His new chief of staff, poor man, has to be wondering how he got himself into this mess.

trump, once again, made himself out to be the victim, and he flat out lied about what he said after the happenings in Charlottesville. In case you are keeping track that's 1,001 lies to the American people since taking office.  That, my friends, is a lot of lies. Even for a politician seeking political office.
Imagine that, a woman died in the protest, and trump is still running around whining about what transpired like he is the true victim.

But even worse than the lies andred meat he was throwing to his (half-full) auditorium of "deplorables",  was the shameful way he calle the rancid d out the two senators from the state that he was standing in. It was bad enough calling out Jeff Flake, but calling out the other senator who is battling cancer ---and who some consider a war hero--- was beyond the pale. It fired up his crowd so much that one of his sick deplorables was calling for the death of the man.

Hillary Clinton leaked portions of her new book today, and in it she called trump a "creep" that made her skin "crawl".

Yo Hillary, welcome to the club.                                                                                                 

The reality show cabinet is still taking shape.

Hey, did you hear the joke about the guy who was appointed to be secretary of the Department of Energy but couldn't even remember the name of his new department when he wanted to do away with it?  

Sorry, it's not a joke, Rick (Dancing With The Stars) Perry was really named secretary of the Department of Energy.  You can't make this stuff. The poor guy flunked chemistry and other science courses in college for crying out loud. Compare that to the guy who currently runs the department.

He is, without a doubt, one of the least qualified people in the country to do it.....

.......By comparison, the current head of the Department of Energy got a PhD in theoretical physics from Stanford and was the head of the physics department at MIT when President Clinton selected him to help run the agency. Obama would eventually re-hire him to head the whole thing in 2013. He also got a seat at the table when the White House negotiated the Iran nuclear deal because he, well, actually knew a thing or two about nuclear physics and could help Obama make sense of Iran’s nuclear program. In other words, as head of his department, he was an asset to the White House."

I don't know about the rest of you, but I kind of like smart people being in important decision making positions.  

Fortunately for us trump says that  he is  really smart, and that he really doesn't need anyone else telling him what to do.  Under Herr trump the Department of Energy will be huuuge.   

Anyway, there is another guy trying to work his way into trump's inner circle by bringing him some good news on the Obama birth certificate front.

"Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio plans to hold a news conference on Thursday where he will announce the “newest” revelation about his investigation into President Barack Obama’s birth certificate"

.Details of the announcement are still sketchy, at best.  However, a local news outlet in Phoenix is reporting they will carry the news conference tomorrow live online at 4:00 p.m. local time. Chief Investigator Mike Zullo is reportedly also expected to appear with Arpaio at the press conference.
Last month, the 84-year-old longtime sheriff of Maricopa County in Arizona lost his re-election bid  to Democratic challenger Paul Penzone, who will formally take office on January 7, 2017.

President-elect Donald Trump regularly invoked Arpaio’s name on the campaign trail, essentially saying the endorsement of Sheriff Joe was indication that he would be tough on immigration. 

 Although, the relationship between the two men actually goes back to when Trump was a “birther” himself.  Arpaio and Trump were two of the most high profile purveyors of the Obama birth certificate theory in the past.  However, Trump backed away from the issue in September of this year when he admitted Obama was born in the United States." [Source]

Let's see if the president-elect will change his mind after this "revelation" from Joe Arpaio and start up his birther claims again. 

The bad news for President Obama is this: Now that trump will be president with the bully pulpit, he can really try to make this birther thing stick.

Money talks louder than Rush.

You knew it was just a matter of time before rush had to cave and apologize. (An apology, BTW, that was lame by most decent people's standards, but coming from rush we will take it.) Rush, being the only whore in this controversy, was seeing his sponsors pull out one by one. I am quite sure that this is what motivated him to make an attempt at decency. Besides, rush didn't want to go begging to the Koch Brothers just yet.

 "My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir," Limbaugh said in the statement. "I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices."

That should have read: my choice of words caused my advertisers and sponsors to get a lot of heat from the buying public, and they threatened to drop my show forever if I did not apologize.

And yes, it was a written statement. Rush did not actually want us to see him apologizing. So,true to form, he weaseled out with a written statement on his website on a Saturday.

"I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress," Limbaugh said. "I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line?"

Well rush, you are still walking free after breaking the laws of this country, so maybe you can tell us what happened to "personal responsibility and accountability".

Rush, now that I think about it, your apology is not accepted.

Finally, here is how you know that the economy is picking up; wingnuts are starting to talk about Obama's fake birth certificate again.

But the investigation by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, carried out by what he described as five-member volunteer "posse," was prompted by a request last August from a group of conservative Tea Party activists in the Phoenix area...

"A 6-month-long investigation conducted by my cold case posse has led me to believe there is probably cause to believe that President Barack Obama's long-form birth certificate ... is a computer-generated fraud," Arpaio told a news conference." [Source]

I swear I don't know why A-merry-cans are so fearful of Islamic terrorist and  Iran getting a nuke. At the end of the day do you know what will destroy this country? Stupid people!
