Angry republicans, and the wages of the wrong house is death.

A couple of republican stalwarts are really upset with the republican establishment these days.

"The “GOP civil war” is a phrase we’ve been hearing often, and Mark Levin offered his particularly dramatic take during Monday night’s broadcast when he weighed in on the RNC’s so-called autopsy report. Tearing into the report’s proposed change of course, Levin reminded his audience that America is a conservative country — but Republicans will continue to lose under current leadership.

Referring to the likes of Jeb Bush and Karl Rove, Levin recalled the trend of the Hispanic vote during elections since the 1980s. “The truth is, this community is the most reliable Democratic-voting bloc, other than blacks and Jews,” he asserted, adding that the Democratic Party doesn’t say they need to reach out to the middle class or white vote.

The Republican Party doesn’t push its agenda “because it doesn’t have an agenda — other than one that’s written by the left,” he argued."

And now on to another angry white guy:

"The release of the RNC’s autopsy report has been accompanied by a wave of criticism — largely from conservatives who view the proposed changes as veering away from their principles. The message isn’t the problem, Rush Limbaugh argued on Tuesday, it’s the way that message is being discussed. And currently, the GOP is aiding Democrats in securing their own defeat." [Source]

Why are these people so angry?? Do they really believe that they are being relegated to second class status in "their" country, or is it just an act to make even more money at the expense of the suckers who hang on to their every word?

Finally, everyone is on edge in America these days. So you parents of color really need to watch your kids. Everyone is shooting first and asking questions later. (See what you started Mr. Zimmerman?)

Down in Virginia a young man was shot to death by a neighbor who thought that he was an intruder.

"Caleb Gordley wanted to go to a party Saturday night. But the 16-year-old was grounded because he hadn’t cleaned his room.
So he decided he’d sneak out of his Loudoun County, Va., house to be with his friends.

When he left the party about 2 a.m., Caleb needed to sneak home. His friends dropped him off and helped hoist him through a back window. But Caleb had been drinking and had gone to the wrong house. The brick homes on his street are similar, and Caleb was two doors down from his own.

The homeowner heard his burglar alarm sound, called police to report an intruder, grabbed his gun and went to investigate. When the two met on the stairs inside the house, the man said he told the teen to leave and fired a warning shot, according to a law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation."

Caleb’s mother, Jennea, told The Associated Press on Tuesday she believed the shooting was an accident.
“I don’t even blame the gentleman,” Jennea Gordley said. “I don’t know what I would have done.”

In the wake of the shooting, Caleb’s friends and family were trying to figure out how this promising, well-liked athlete, who stayed out of trouble and generally listened to his parents, could have died in such a way." [Source]

He lives in America, that's how.

Politics as usual?

It's always nice to be in Washington D.C. and close to the folks calling the shots in these divided states of America. Shout out to David Honig and the MMTC folks for bringing me down. David always brings in the big boys from AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, and Sprint; not to mention a Commissioner or two from the FCC, and he does a hell of a job of making them accountable. You Negroes in America better start paying attention to where the deals are cut, or you will forever be on the outside looking in. These big companies have a lot of money to buy all the influence that they need here in Washington. If folks like David and the rest of the gang at MMTC weren't paying attention for you, it would probably be a lot worse than it already is.

Anyway, here in D.C. both political gangs have been digging in, and it hasn't been pretty.
Of course with all this money and bad blood flowing out there, we  knew that it would get ugly really fast.

Mitt in particular has been in a very bad mood. He is fighting mad at those Chicago boys for going old school on him. Mitt is used to being the HWMIC and he doesn't like being questioned.
He has brought in Rush and the Brietbart crew to help him get personal, and we can expect wingnut guns to keep blazing for the rest of the summer.  Drug use? Commie ties? Citizenship? Oh my! Just how low can we go? And all because we want to see his tax returns. (BTW, the fact that O used drugs as a youngster is probably exactly why he should be president.)

Finally, I would like to thank Sheriff Arpaio for his service to this country. Thank you for all of your hard work in exposing President Obama's "forged' birth certificate there Sheriff, we could not have gotten to the bottom of this without you. Of course, some folks might think that you have a bone to pick with your President.

"America's self-proclaimed toughest sheriff finds himself entangled these days in his own thorny legal troubles: a federal grand jury probe over alleged abuse of power, Justice Department accusations of racial profiling and mistreatment of Hispanics and revelations that his department didn't adequately investigate hundreds of Arizona sex-crime cases."

The good sheriff is a little thin skinned. But, just think, if what he is alleging is true, he will go down as one of the greatest investigators in American history.

Stay cool folks, it is hot out there.

1965 was a good year for some, and 2012 is not such a good year for others.

I caught your act at Liberty University today there Flipper.

"Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney delivered a commencement address at Liberty University earlier today in a speech that focused more on his life experiences than policy. Romney spoke of how “American culture promotes personal responsibility,” including the value of getting a good education. He told students that what you believe helps shape your future just as powerfully as any other force in life, if not more so. However, Romney did manage to restate his belief that marriage is between a man and a woman, to much applause." [Source]

If I was Flipper I would leave that talk of marriage being between a man and a woman alone. Just saying.

Anyway, I see that Flipper the bully has at least one high profile supporter:

"On his radio show Friday, Rush Limbaugh dismissed the notion that the alleged high-school pranks committed by presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney count as “bullying,” saying “You had long hair in 1965, you were gonna get razzed. It didn’t matter,” adding that “1965 is a great year, bullying was legal.”

Limbaugh made the case that the Washington Post story is a smear-job by the “drive-by media [...] in conjunction with the Democrat in the White House.”
The radio host then defended Romney’s alleged actions as being anything but what we now define as “bullying,” saying that it is “probably a stretch to say it had anything to do with the kid being presumed gay. You had long hair in 1965, you were gonna get razzed. It didn’t matter.”

“They weren’t gonna think you were in the Beatles,” Limbaugh said. “If you had long hair in 1965, you were gonna get made fun of. See, 1965′s a great year; bullying was legal.”

Aware of just how controversial that last sentence may be, Limbaugh added: “Watch that be a quote that shows up at Media Matters: ‘Limbaugh praising bullying while defending Romney.’”  [Source]

Not only Media Matters Rush, I am quite sure that it will appear in a lot of other places as well.

Finally, do you remember the Kendric McDade story? Well the autopsy report was recently released.

"Nearly two months ago, NewsOne reported on the tragic case of Kendrec McDade (pictured), the California college student and football star who was killed by Pasadena cops while they were responding to a robbery. Now that McDade’s autopsy report has been released, it’s been revealed that he was shot seven times at close range and handcuffed afterward, according to the L.A. Times." [Source]

No surprise here. This is part of a growing trend.   If you belong to a certain group, the po po will take special aim and make sure that they don't take your life. If, on the other hand, you belong to that other group; tell your family to find a nice funeral home.

Putting the brakes on obesity, and catching the world's fastest man.

I wonder if my right wing friends who make fun of Michelle Obama (Rush even called her a "big fat hypocrite") for pushing a an anti obesity message realize that we could save a lot of money in health care costs if A-merry-cans would just push away that extra slice of pizza, and get off the damn sofa?

"Even if the skyrocketing rates of obesity level off, 42 percent of Americans will be obese and 11 percent will be severely obese by the year 2030, a new report predicts.

That means 32 million more people will be tipping the scales in the wrong direction, costing the country billions, according to the study, appearing online May 7 in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.

The (slightly) good news is that the number of people becoming obese may not be increasing as much as previously thought.

"There's some evidence that the curves of increase in obesity may have changed and, at best, may be a plateau," Dr. William Dietz, director of the division of nutrition, physical activity and obesity at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said during a Monday news conference. "[But] we still have a very serious problem."

The computer model devised by report author Eric Finkelstein and his colleagues also predicted that the prevalence of severe obesity would more than double from 5 percent to 11 percent.

If these new estimates prove true, obesity will cost the country some $550 billion, the report stated. [Source]

Weight Watchers supposedly wants to pay Jessica Simpson millions to get with their program. Maybe they could do us all a favor and pitch a deal to
Rush as well. I am sure that he would try to set a good example to all of his followers if the price was right.

Finally, I love my man Usain Bolt, he seems like good people, and I know for a fact that he is doing some good things on the rock.

But yawdie yu pun yu own wit dis ya one ya.

"His arm around her waist, sprinter Usain Bolt and his latest girlfriend are the picture of togetherness.
The world’s fastest man has been dating fashion designer Lubica Slovak for six months and the relationship is described as ‘very serious’.
A friend of 28-year-old Miss Slovak declared: ‘Love has no race – it’s a heart to heart connection.

But 25-year-old Bolt has come in for criticism from fellow black Jamaicans unhappy that he has chosen a white partner. " tipping slowly away* [Source]

Profiles in cowardice.

We all know by now what has been happening with rush over the past few days due to his vicious verbal attack on an innocent college student. It has been well documented on this website.

What I want to talk about is the reaction to rush's comments from the republican candidates, and, to be more specific, the front runner. Mitt Romney has had quite a few days to denounce rush and his boorish comments straight out of the Paleolithic Age; but he didn't. All we got from Mitt was a very timid,  "Not language I would have used." Harlot? Loose woman? Tramp? Floozy? What words, exactly, would Mitt have used?

It's no secret that Mitt will say or do anything to become president. But this time he actually hurt himself by overestimating the power of rush's 20 million listeners.  By not doing the courageous thing and coming out and condemning rush, Mitt showed A-merry-ca  that he is a typical politician who lacks the courage to denounce an unhinged, over the top, talk show host. A host who was being abandoned by the advertisers on his show.  Mitt, now we know who you are siding with in the republican war on women.

"I’m focusing on the issues that I think are significant in the country today, and that’s why I’m here talking about jobs and Ohio.”

Let me translate that for you: I will not say anything to piss off my republican base or rush's supporters, because I am in the middle of a fight to get the republican nomination in November.

The problem is, of course, that others are watching. And the people who might make the difference in this coming election are starting to take notice. How can Mitt expect to stand up to Ahmadinejad if he can't stand up to rush? All rush has is a big mouth, the other guy might eventually have a nuke. The stakes are pretty high, so A-merry-cans really need to ask themselves these questions.

Finally, I am looking forward to seeing the Obama tapes that our "dearly departed" Andrew Breitbart's friend claims to be releasing in the next couple of weeks. (Just a quick thought: If there is something truly damaging in the film, why not hold it until October?)

"On his program Thursday, Fox News’ Sean Hannity spoke with Steve Bannon (producer of The Undefeated, among various other films) about a series of tapes Andrew Breitbart claimed to have about Barack Obama. Breitbart mentioned the tapes during his recent CPAC speech, sharing that “[w]e are going to vet [Barack Obama] from his college days to show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008.”
RELATED: Watch Andrew Breitbart’s Fiery CPAC Speech: I Have ‘College Days’ Obama Videos

Bannon confirmed that there exists a series of tapes taken during Obama’s time at Harvard, which will be publicly released “in a week or two.” Breitbart has been “very systematic about going through this thing,” Bannon added." [Source]

Oh- oh, maybe they have film clips of his Oness drawing up a fake birth certificate? It all should be interesting. As they say, the camera never lies.

"OrBameo", and Happy Birthday, Elvis?

Poor Rush. The guy must be feeling really irrelevant these days. He is trying so hard to get a rise out of us black folks and it ain't even working. When a racism chaser like moi doesn't even feel motivated to take the bait you know he (Rush) has hit rock bottom.

"Today on his radio show, Rush Limbaugh described a new Oreo that will have both chocolate and vanilla cream as a "biracial" cookie and said that "it isn't going to be long before it's going to be called the Or-Bam-eo or something like this." Limbaugh later called it the "Or-Bam-eo" himself.
Listen:
LIMBAUGH: Kraft foods is going to launch a new Oreo. You ought to see -- that got Snerdly's attention. It's a Triple Double Oreo. Do you like Oreos, is that?
Well, it -- what it's going to be here, it's actually a biracial cookie. You've got three of the chocolate wafers, and then you've got the white vanilla cream -- the cream -- and then there's a chocolate cream. So you've got, you've got three -- the stuff, the thing that says Oreo on it, the wafer. And then you've got the white cream, then you've got another chocolate wafer, then you've got the chocolate cream, and then you've got the bottom wafer.
The Triple Double Oreo. You wait, it isn't going to be long before it's called the Or-Bam-eo, or something like this. Well, it's a biracial cookie, here. And this story is from the Chicago Tribune, and it's all about Kraft's juicing up its investment in the Oreo in recent years. Legitimate businesses.
Do I know you get Oreos and ice cream? Yeah, I know that. I don't -- I'm not a big ice cream fan, but I know that you can do that. I know that you can -- you know what? What I heard the other day, McDonald's? You know these -- what are they called? Rolos, these caramel things that come in a roll that you get? McDonald's is putting those in their soft ice cream or shakes or whatever. I saw that the other day. Yeah.
In the midst of all this talk of obesity. And, I mean, every time Michelle Obama goes out there and talks about healthful eating, the food industry responds with, "Oh, yeah? Take this." And Kraft comes up with the Or-Bam-eo, the triple double-dipper.
OK, to the phones.
The Chicago Tribune article that Limbaugh was referencing mentions nothing about race, of course, and it certainly doesn't describe it as a "biracial" cookie.
Limbaugh is clearly aware of the use of the word "Oreo" as a racial slur.
In 2005, Limbaugh repeated the dubious allegation that former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele had Oreos thrown at him in 2002 while he was running to be lieutenant governor of Maryland.
Limbaugh was discussing NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb's statement that some criticism of his play was related to race. Limbaugh listed Steele among the "names of people that the NAACP has tried to destroy."

I want to thank Tyrone Gayle from Media Matters for e-mailing that story to me. But, sorry Tyrone, Rush is about as relevant as the last man off the bench for the Washington Wizards these days. Maybe when he starts trying to buy his oxy pills again on the black market we will pay attention.

I must confess that I have never been a big Elvis fan. But the man is an A-merry-can icon. Maybe this is why some of you folks just refuse to believe that the man is dead. Some of you have taken it a step further, and you have actually declared that the day that the rest of us believe that he died, is actually the day that he was born:

"Before we get started, let's all say 'Happy Birthday' to Elvis Presley today," Bachmann greeted event attendees at a "Join Team Bachmann" rally in Spartanburg, SC.
"We played you a little bit of Promised Land when we pulled up. You can't do better than Elvis Presley and we thought we would celebrate his birthday as we get started celebrating taking our country back to work."

OK, I don't want to be cruel here ( "Dont be cruel", get it?) but Michele, once again,I think you might have a little problem:

"GOP presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann mistakenly wished Elvis Presley a "happy birthday" today during a campaign event in South Carolina.
Presley -- "The King" to music fans everywhere -- died 34 years ago on this date." [Source]

Whoops!

Michele, I think you just lost the vote of every white woman who is over 55 in A-merry-ca.

Colin v. Dick and Tom v. Rush and Rush v. Colin and Colin v. Rush and......

I can't tell you how much I have been enjoying this in-party fighting between the repubs for the soul (And I use that word loosely. Republicans have no souls) of their party. In one corner is the two tons of evil, also known as Rush & Dick. And in the other corner, the voices of moderation and reason, also known as Colin & Tom. (On this Memorial Day it's important to note that both Tom and Colin served their country honorably in war and Dick and Rush did not. Just thought I would throw that out there) Dick started it all when he lashed out at Colin and declared that he didn't even think that he[Colin] was a republican anymore. Then Tom said that Dick was in essence lying when he said that the country is less safe under Obama. And then Rush agreed with Dick, and Tom agreed with Colin and.....oh lawd this is all too much, but you get the idea.

“Rush will not get his wish and Mr. Cheney was misinformed – I am still a Republican..,”“Neither [Cheney] nor Rush Limbaugh are members of the membership committee of the Republican Party...”

Yu tell dem yawdie! That's what I like to see; that good old Jamaican fighting spirit coming out of you. You must be drinking plenty Irish Moss and Linseed these days. But wait, Tom Ridge wants to jump in here as well:

“I think Rush articulates his point of view in ways that offend very many...”

That's what I am talking about; two military guys fighting for their party on Memorial Day. Way to go boys. I am pretty sure that most A-merry-cans have your back. Most. Unfortunately there are still some among us who would put party over country. We call them "wingnuts", and there are plenty of them.

Now as a person of color I always listen for the African American voices in these debates. So where are the conservative or republican, African Americans? Why so silent on this issue? Whose side are you folks going to come down on? Inquiring minds want to know. I know that a few of you like to come out to the fields from time to time, so can you tell us please? We are trying to understand the debate and I am sure that you all will be able to help us out a little.

"I don't want to pick a fight with Dick Cheney, but the fact is, the Republican party has to be a broad party that appeals across the country..."

Fight Colin fight. The field Negroes have your back. Even if the Negroes in your own party do not.

The rock star president.

I remember being a kid sitting in my cousin's Vineyard Town home in Kingston, Jamaica, as Tyrone Downie-- a friend of his at the time-- talked about the tour he had just come off of with Bob Marley in Europe. (Downie was the keyboard player for the Wailers for a long time) He was going on and on about how they played to a packed house in Germany and the Germans were rocking and vibing to every song; even though he knew that they didn't understand a word of the songs that they were singing or what the songs really meant. ("Chase Dem Crazy Bald Heads Out Of Town" wasn't meant to be a flattering song to white Europeans)

Later on in my young life as I listened to Fidel Castro give a speech, I could relate to those Germans, because although I didn't understand a lick of Spanish, I found myself cheering with the crowd whose grasp of the Spanish language was no better than mine. And so it is when you have skills as an orator or an artist, you can touch people's souls in spite of language and cultural barriers.

Fast forward over thirty years from that day at my cousin's home and I am watching his O ness give his town hall meeting in Strassbourg, France. I found my mind going back to that day and what Downie said about Bob and the Wailers and how they moved the crowds in Europe. Obama was moving the crowds in Europe and I am quite sure that like the Germans listening to Bob, most of the folks in Strassbourg, France weren't too proficient in the English language. Obama, like Castro and Marley has talent and charisma, and those two things can take you a very long way in life. If you have a message and an agenda those skills can help you convince others to go along with the program, and that is important to a politician, believe me. If you have talent and charisma that can also take you very far as an artist, and people will buy your records and pay to watch you in person no matter what.

Say what you want about his O ness and his politics, you have to admit the the man has some skills. Rethugs will nit pick and cry that he can't do any of his great oration without his trusted teleprompter, but Stevie Wonder and Governor Paterson can both see that it's all just sour grapes on their part.

So now rethugs have to ask themselves: Who will be our rock star? Who do we have with similar skills? Well, let me answer that for you: No one! In fact, you don't even have anyone that can come close. MC MacDaddy Steele? Not! Newt? The thrice married religion switching ,fraud? Not! Slum...(whoops I promised I wouldn't call him that).. Bobby Jindal? He blew his chance on the national stage. Sarah Palin? They really tried with her, but she wasn't ready for prime time and neither was her family. Eric Cantor? Please! In fact, rethugs are so desperate for a star that they created one who wasn't even a politician. But someone ought to tell the rethugs about packaging. I mean really folks; does "Joe the Plumber" really have a face that you want representing your party? Seriously, unless you are going after that all important skinhead vote, you might want to get him off the national stage. Then of course there is Rush, Sean, and Glen. It's not so easy to get them out of the spotlight since they are forever seeking it, but you might want to distance yourself from them as well, because as their envy for the really talented Obama gets greener, they are truly becoming unhinged. If I am going to be truly honest with you, I think quite a few people are becoming unhinged in A-murder-ca (That's my new name for A-merry-ca) these days. I wonder why? I bet if they had some talent and some real skills they wouldn't be so likely to be unhinged, but frustration can cause you to do some seriously crazy things.

“'I want anyone who believes in life, liberty, pursuit of happiness to succeed, and I want any force, any person, any element of an overarching big government that would stop your success – I want that organization, that element or that person to fail,' Limbaugh told the cheering CPAC crowd. "

Of course, frustration can cause you to say some seriously crazy things as well.

"Message to Michael"

Michael, this has gone on long enough. It's time to come home my brother. You gave it the good old college try, but you and I both know that some of these GOP folks to black folks is like oil to water. Putting you up as their leader was a gimmick, something they tried in order to stay hip and relevant in the age of Obama. Unfortunately for you , you just happened to be the only black guy (Kenneth Blackwell doesn't count. I said "black guy")around.

Of course it didn't help that all this HNIC stuff got to your head. You just couldn't shut up and stay on message, and the RNC folks weren't down with that. Bad enough they had to put a Negro in charge, but one who couldn't keep his mouth shut was too much for them.

"Let’s put it into context here. Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. Rush Limbaugh, his whole thing is entertainment. Yes, it’s incendiary. Yes, it’s ugly."

That was your first mistake: saying unkind things about the new republican leader in public. And then you had the nerve to tell A-merry-ca the truth about your party.

"You have absolutely no reason -- none -- to trust our word or our actions at this point. "

You got that right Michael. But the straw the broke the elephant's back was when you made statements to GQ Magazine which hinted that you believe that a woman can do what she wants to do with her own body.

"Are you saying you think women have the right to choose abortion?Yeah. I mean, again, I think that's an individual choice. You do?Yeah. Absolutely. "

Now dem there is fighten words Michael, and the folks in GOP land are all over you for uttering them. As you know, there is a growing movement within your own party to send your black behind packing. Republicans don't waiver on certain things: The right to life, gay marriage, and no equality for blacks. Okay, the last one isn't an official party platform, not yet anyway, but you get the picture.

Honestly Mike, I wanted you to succeed. I hoped what I thought about the republican party wasn't true, but the reality is that just seeing you in public as the representative of their party drove quite a few of those good ole boyz crazy. And all it took was one slip up for them to jump ship. As far as they are concerned you have been one constant slip up, and that ain't gonna cut it in the land of NASCAR and Rush.

So come on Mike, how about it? Hold a press conference tomorrow and tell the country that the GOP is not ready to go main stream. Tell us that it is not the party you thought it was, and that the people who make up the base of the party are just too extreme and unyielding for your taste. Tell A-merry-ca you tried, but as a person of color you just can't in good conscience support the GOP anymore.

Mike, if you do that, I will call off the drop squad, and I will pretend all the house worthy behavior you participated in didn't happen. The groveling to Rush, the back pedaling on your stance on abortion, and your silly pseudo cool buffoonery to try and attract young blacks to your party. I will forget all of that, and to top it off; I will even put in a good word with the Negro Acceptance Coalition *(NAC) for you. I promise.

* FYI, there is no organization called the Negro Acceptance Coalition. Not yet.

Senator Kerry's Apology

Have you heard the latest thing that has outraged republicans? It seems the White House and right wing web sites are all over Massachusetts Senator John Kerry for remarks he made to a group of students in California.

This is the gist of what he said: "Those that are unable to manage the current educational system get stuck in Iraq"

First came Tony Snowjob: "Senator Kerry not only owes an apology to those who are serving, but also to the families of those who have given their lives..." Then came the frat boy: "Insulting and shameful. Soldiers deserve an apology from Kerry" And as you can imagine, all the usual republican suspects weighed in next. From Dennis Hastert to John McCain, to Rush Limpboy.

Anyway, totally blindsided by this, John Kerry has gone into crisis mode. Oh he tried to come back with statements like:"I am sick and tired of a bunch of despicable republicans who will not debate real policy, who won't take responsibility for their own mistakes" But he knows it's not enough he will have to make not just a statement, but give a speech to explain his position.

Well, he f&^%ed up! Because he asked the field of all people to write his speech for him.
And, he will have to deliver it before he has time to proof read it.

So here is what the field wrote for Senator Kerry:

My fellow Americans, today, while talking to a group of some of our best and brightest young minds, I made statements that many on the right claimed was disrespectful, and brought dishonor to our men and women fighting Iraq. What I I said, or implied, was that if you don't want to end up in places like Bushdad, with one hundred degree heat, an entire country wanting you gone, stuck in the middle of a brewing civil war, and 101 of your comrades dead this past month alone. Then stay in school, study hard and graduate. This way, you will have options when you come out.

Options, that other youngsters in inner city and poor rural schools don't have. Because their parents, unlike yours, will not be able to afford to send them to college. This is what I was saying to those college students, and I meant every word of it!

My fellow Americans these statements were not disrespectful to our troops. They are truths. Most of those troops fighting in Iraq don't want to be there. They are not dumb, they know that they were lied to. Isn't it ironic that I am accused of leading people to believe that our troops are dumb, when the very people criticizing me, are the ones lying to our troops on a daily basis. These poor men and women do not deserve to be off in a foreign land fighting an unnecessary war. Don't you think they would have preferred to be tailgating and enjoying frat parties on college campuses like the sons and daughters of my republican colleagues? Don't you think they would have liked options and choices that more affluent children in this country are afforded?

Why just a few weeks ago a young man from the mean streets of Philadelphia was killed in Iraq. This young man was only twenty one years old, and Charles Johnson's mother did not want him to go off to war. He was her only son, but she figured even Iraq was better than the streets of Philly. Of course, we know now, that she was wrong. There are countless Charles Johnson's in America, some have already paid the ultimate sacrifice, and some, invariably will in the days to come. Sadly, they don't have the republican spin machine, FAKE NEWS NETWORK, or lunatic talk radio behind them. All they have, are families who are left to grieve, and families who are hoping they wont have to. Just the other day, I spoke to a young man. -The brother in law of my speech writer, field negro-whose baby girl was born while he was in Iraq. She is now fifteen months old, and he still cannot properly hold her. Why? Because he was blown up by a suicide bomber while his platoon was on patrol in Baghdad. This was over a year ago, and he has been in and out of an Army hospital in Texas ever since; getting skin grafts and various surgeries to get his limbs back in working order. This young man did not want to go to Iraq, but he was a reservist when the evil neocon cabal made up this war to suit their nefarious ends; and so, he had no choice but to go.

I see where Toney Snowjob, the frat boy, and people like Rush Limpboy, and Sean Hannity have come out against my statements. This, my fellow Americans, would be funny were it not so sad. None of these men have served a day of combat, yet they have the temerity to question my statements about troops who are actually serving. And folks, let me remind you, that I did serve, and I served with honor. I have the medals to prove it; the only medals that these men carry are from republican fund raisers, and souvenirs from illegal junkets.

But these are the type of people that we are dealing with. People who will do anything, and smear anyone, to hold on to power. Even a life long Marine like John Murtha, or a man who left his limbs on foreign soil in defense of this country like Max Cleland. A double amputee like Tammy Duckworth, democratic candidate for congress from Illinois, whose opponent, Pete Roscam, made "cut and run" jokes about her. Yeah, I guess it would be real hard to run with no feet huh Pete? Right in the field's home state of Pennsylvania, Rick Santurom has become so desperate that he has literally said that his opponent, Bob Casey, Jr., is supporting the terrorist. And the White House has gone as far as to say, that the terrorist are stepping up the insurgency because they want a democratic victory. I wont even get into the race baiting and other assortment of negative things that they have been doing, but I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.

But I am a big boy, and I can take it, because I have been through a lot more than this. Distorting my words, and trying to paint me as something I am not worked for them in the last Presidential election, but it won't work for them again. Americans have heard this song before, and they are ready to change the station.

Finally, I want to say that I am ready to bring back the draft......~~whisper field, field, I don't think I support this~~~ Just keep reading Senator. Yeah I think it's time to bring back the draft. This way, we will guarantee that every ones son has a chance to serve. Not just those who are poor with no options, but the well to do sons and daughters of all those republican fat cats in Washington as well. Why just today, the Secretary of Defense approved to send more troops to Iraq. And I know many patriots signed up to fight after 911, but sadly, many of those patriots have been lied to as well, and they too, like Pat Tillman's brother, have their reservations and doubts about the honesty and the leadership of our commander the thief. Because like me, and 62% of the American people, they know that he has mismanaged this war, just like he has mismanaged his Presidency. And all the mud slinging in the world will never change that fact.

Thank you my fellow Americans, and if I decide to run in 08, I look forward to your support.

FIELD!!!!!!!!!
****Just a note, I see the last hard line hold out from that immoral form of government known as apartheid just died. P.W. Botha was 90. I hate to be cruel, but, good riddance. I am glad Mandela out lived your racist ass. I doubt if there is a system of apartheid in hell, so good luck.
