Friday the 13th!

Friday the 13th! What a day! What a week! I blame this all on George Bush. My fucked up state of mind, the countries' funk, all the negative shit going on. Honestly it's like a dark cloud is just hanging over this country. (Just today there was literally a blackout over D.C.) Sorry "O" man, your halo isn't shining bright enough. I know you keep saying a change is going to come, but you have to get elected first, and you know how I feel about that happening. (I had a big fat slice of cheese cake for lunch today. Why? Because I think my Broad street birthday suit run is safe)

If I told you that one of the main actors in this years political drama would die suddenly, I know who most of you (at least the black folks) would think it would be. We don't like to say it out loud, but we all think it. But still I bet that none of you thought it would be one of the people charged with reporting the drama. Tim Russert died suddenly today of a heart attack, right there on the job he loves so much, while doing voice overs for his "Meet The Press" show on Sunday. The guy won't have a chance to cover this historic election. For a political junkie like Russert, this was like the Super Bowl and World Series all rolled into one; and the poor guy dies right in the middle of covering it. Boy if there is a god he has one fucked up sense of humor.

Speaking of god; now we are dealing with all the floods in Iowa and other parts of the Midwest. Entire towns submerged in water, and the poor folks having to watch their life savings and all of their earthly belongings destroyed. But don't worry my Midwestern friends, the frat boy has you covered. "Brownie you are doing a heck of a job." Why did all this have to happen under this guy's watch? He makes Jimmy Carter look like JFK. "George Bush doesn't care about black people." Kanye, you might want to throw white people, red people and damn near everyone in between into that mix as well. Is it me or has there been more natural disasters with this clown in power than any other time in our history? Gee, for a guy who is supposed to be seriously in touch with his god side you would think he could ask his friend jesus to lighten up just a little. At least until he leaves office, and the secular non-believing Muslim comes to power. But no, the hits just keep coming.

And speaking of hits; R Kelly was acquitted of all charges today relating to his pornography case, and ......oh don't even get me started on this one. I mean I love the guy's music and all, but I am not going to be popping any bubbly because Kels is free. I saw the tape too.

Speaking of a tape; I am Still waiting on that Michelle Obama whitey tape to surface. Not that it matters, as today I learned that the GOP is targeting poor Michelle. Chile don't you know that youze supposed to shut your mouth and show dem pearly whites. You should be so happy to be living in A-merry-ca, yet you seem so ungrateful. But you will learn. These republicans are about to show you how the smear game is played.

And speaking of games; I heard this week that the NBA might have been fixing their games all along. Is nothing sacred in A-merry-ca anymore?

All of this and still no Lark Voorhies.

Friday the 13th! Just 35 minutes to go.

TRUCE!

There is a classic song from one of my favorite R&B groups, the Spinners. And the words go something like this: "It takes a fool to learn that love don't love nobody..." Now I don't know if my man Barack knows that song or not, but I would suggest that if he doesn't, he might want to listen to it.

I saw the debate tonight. I saw how the "O" man made nice with Hillary, and how they were both saying all the right things to each other. It was truly a Kumbaya moment for the dems. Hillary looked presidential in the debate, and in the eyes of many pundits, she probably won it.

Obama played nice. He rose above the pettiness and chastised the people in his camp for fighting back against the Clinton machine. Barack turned the other cheek. Way to go "O" man, that's what Jesus would have done. But then, Jesus isn't running against Hillary Clinton for President of these Divided States. But I get it, in order to win the presidency you will need a miracle, so you might as well act like the man that can give it to you.

Still, I don't totally blame Barack. What was he going to do? He was running as the race neutral icon, America's Bagger Vance, he had to put down this racial dust up by saying, enough! White folks were not going to vote for him if he was perceived as the angry black man who called out Hillary for her racially insensitive attacks. After all, to white folks, what Hillary and her minions did wasn't so bad; why are black folks so sensitive? Barack you aren't like that are you?
You heard Tim Russert tonight after the debates; "it's time to move on to more substantive issues than race." "MORE SUBSTANTIVE ISSUES THAN RACE"? OK Tim, at least you are honest.

So the truce between Barack and Hillary is in full effect, and now all Hillary has to do is hope that black folks have a short memory.

Welcome back I-Man.

It's great to be an old white man in A-merry-ca isn't it Mr. Imus? Here we are just eight months after your little, ahem, slip of the tongue, and you are back on the air with a new five year deal. And this after settling for millions with your former employer under the terms of your previous contract. So back to WABC radio you go. And you will even have a simulcast T.V. deal with RFD-T.V., who is owned by the Rural Group. How fitting.

I would say something like I hope you learned your lesson, but why should you have? Hell, you made out better now than you were before nappyheadedhogate. We should all be so lucky after being fired from our jobs.

I wonder if all of your old political buddies and all those powerful people you used to have on your show will show up again? Or will they abandon you like Harold Ford and some of your big shot Washington friends did ? Every time I saw that fraud, Tim Russert, back peddle from his association with you I wanted to throw up. He knew exactly what you were about, and he had no problem yucking it up on your show when he wanted to push his phony ass book. But I digress.

I-Man I even hear you will have one black regular on this new show, but you are keeping that a secret for now. ---- Let me say this for the record: whoever it is will be the fields HN for awhile on this blog. But I am sure it could be anybody. You could have Jason Fatlock lined up to do your sports. You could have Thomas Sowell, or Armstrong Williams lined up to do your political commentary. You could put on D.L. Hugely, and Daymon Wayans to tell jokes. And if you really want to be like your arch nemesis, Howard Stern, you could jock him and create your own Robin Quivers. May I suggest La Shawn Barber for that role? Hell she even looks like her.

Speaking of Howard Stern; he says "people will tune you out within a week." I say he is wrong. A-merry-ca will love you and they will throw their full support behind you. A-merry-ca doesn't like to see one of their own beat up over a little racial issue. We all just want to see nappyheadedhogate behind us. You made a mistake, you apologized, now let's move on folks. We are too busy for all this racial talk in our beloved country.

"I am not ashamed of saying it is about money". So says your new Program Director, Phil Boyce.

Of course Phil, in A-merry-ca it always is.
