The gun debate takes an ugly turn.

I love those lyrics from Common, because they adequately represent, from a rapper's perspective, how we get down here in America.

This brings me to Ann Coulter. Ms. Coulter weighed in on the current gun debate and she declared that the reason we have so much crime in America is because of minorities. Of course what people like Ann Coulter and other ignorant racist on the right don't realize is that poverty and crime pretty much go hand in hand. There are proportionately more poor people who happen to be people of color in this country than white people, so guess who is going to commit more crime?

Ms. Coulter might want to take a trip to Moldova, Albania, or anyone of those Eastern European hell holes to see how white folks get down when they don't have s^%*.

So anyway, I am still waiting for one of her black ideological soul mates to check her on her statements. Of course we all know that this will never happen. Allen West, Michelle Malkin, Mia Love and the other house dwellers who wash Ms. Ann's clothes and clean her house would never speak out against the ignorant crap that she says.

Sadly, though, this debate over guns in America is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

And speaking of the gun debate, the convicted felon, James O'Keefe, punked my man Touré, recently.

"James O’Keefe, the undercover videographer behind Project Veritas, published a new video Tuesday in which his crew visits the homes of journalists who have published or defended the publishing of the names of local gun owners in New York and New Jersey. Pretending to be an anti-gun advocacy group, O’Keefe’s crew asks those journalists if they would display a sign which declares that their home is “proudly gun-free” – the journalists all declined.
One of the people that O’Keefe’s group met up with was MSNBC host Touré . Despite his advocacy for stricter gun laws and his defense of the outing of gun owners, Touré also refused to display the sign.

“I agree with you in terms of gun control,” Touré told O’Keefe’s faux-gun control activists.

“We can assume that you’re not a gun owner yourself,” an activist asked.
“No,” Touré replied. “I’m not a gun owner.”

“What are the chances we can get something on this door,” another activist asked. “Something that just says, you know, ‘this building is proudly gun free?’”
“I’d have to talk to my neighbors,” Touré replied. “I honestly don’t know if they – what they feel on this issue.”

“Good luck, you guys,” Touré concludes after rejecting the activists’ proposal.
Touré protested the Project Veritas video on Twitter, saying that he treated the individuals who came to his home with nothing but respect.

O’Keefe responded by defending the public’s right to know whether Touré has a gun in his home or not." [Source]

Poor Touré learned the hard way; never be kind to a wingnut stranger.

America is going off-white, and "extremely literate conservative African American" needed.

Many of my melanin challenged friends dreaded the day that this would happen: The loss of a white majority in their beloved America. Some of you, of course, won't really care one way or another, and this news doesn't really faze you. To some of you, on the other hand, (like members of the tea party,the republican party, and viewers of FOX NEWS) this is really bad news.

"The United States has reached a historic tipping point -- with Latino, Asian, mixed race and African American births constituting a majority of births for the first time, the U.S. Census Bureau reported Thursday.

Minorities made up about 2 million, or 50.4%, of the births in the 12-month period ending July 2011, enough to create the milestone. The latest figure was up from 49.5% in the 2010 census.

The racial and ethnic shift was an expected, but still important, turning point for the nation, whose economic and political elites remain essentially white and primarily male. The new numbers indicate that the upcoming generations will be more diverse and could have an increasingly broader view of issues -- such as immigration reform -- that are based on race and ethnicity."

Oh my! 

Of course, I knew this day was coming. I wrote a very serious essay about it right here on this very website. (OK, so maybe it wasn't that serious, but I saw this trend two years ago.) 

Of course, here in Philly, all is not lost for my white friends. We are actually gaining white folks.

I just hope that when all of you people of color fully settle into the majority you don't act the fool. These white folks built a very nice country for us. Let us try to keep it that way.

Finally, I see that Mitt's peeps were planning to go all Jeremiah Wright on his Oness. Mitt's peeps say that  they will not back off Jeremiah Wright like John McCain did when he ran against O.

“The world is about to see Jeremiah Wright and understand his influence on Barack Obama for the first time in a big, attention-arresting way,” read the plan, first revealed by the New York Times."

And, of course, my conservative friends have a secret plan:

"The $10 million plan, one of several being studied by Mr. Ricketts, includes preparations for how to respond to the charges of race-baiting it envisions if it highlights Mr. Obama’s former ties to Mr. Wright, who espouses what is known as “black liberation theology.”

The group suggested hiring as a spokesman an “extremely literate conservative African-American” who can argue that Mr. Obama misled the nation by presenting himself as what the proposal calls a “metrosexual, black Abe Lincoln.”

Hmmm, an "extremely literate conservative African American". Maybe I can help them with a name.

Anyway, I am glad to hear that Mitt has denounced the plan.

But wait, did he really?

I was wondering why some of you Negroes can't make it in A-merry-ca. Thank god for elected republicans who can break it down for me. Who needs a bunch of social anthropologist telling us why certain groups are the way they are when you have people like Sally Kern.

"Oklahoma state Rep. Sally Kern, a Republican, made questionable remarks in the wake of a measure seeking to ban affirmative action programs advancing in the state, Tulsa World reports.

According to the local outlet:

Rep. Sally Kern, R-Oklahoma City, said minorities earn less than white people because they don’t work as hard and have less initiative.

“We have a high percentage of blacks in prison, and that’s tragic, but are they in prison just because they are black or because they don’t want to study as hard in school? I’ve taught school, and I saw a lot of people of color who didn’t study hard because they said the government would take care of them.”

In light of the proposed constitutional amendment in question clearing the state House of Representatives on Wednesday evening, the GOP lawmaker also suggested women earn less than their male counterparts because they generally spend more time in the home.

The AP recently reported on the legislation:

The measure [will] put on the 2012 election ballot a provision that the state may not grant preferential treatment to any individual or group on the basis of race, color, sex, ethnicity or national origin. The ban would apply to public employment, education and contracting.
Opponents say the proposal targets a non-existent problem. Several Democrats contend the bill is an attempt to use race to generate fear and draw conservative white voters to the polls. "

Sally, I think I know what it is; they think that just because their ancestors did all that work for nothing A-merry-ca owes them something. Sally, when will they learn that they can't depend on government handouts? Don't thy know that handouts are only for hardworking A-merry-cans?

Finally, I bet that Mr. Bad Hair is thinking that he should have kept his big mouth shut.

Seems my man's milk ain't so clean and folks are starting to dig. Apparently Mr. Bad Hair has been keeping company with some Tony Soprano types. (It makes sense, his hair already looks like he has been "sleeping with the fishes". ) [Story]

Anyway, now that he has decided to get into politics, he might want to lose his mob friends. Although, to be honest, they might be more honorable than the crowd he is hanging with these days.
