Duke revisited: Or maybe not.

Just up the way from Neverland, where a sad A-merry-can tragedy is playing itself out, another A-merry-can tragedy has already taken place. You have probably never heard of Eric Frimpong; and honestly, if I hadn't decided to pick up my latest addition of ESPN The Magazine, I probably wouldn't have either. (That's surprising because I am a huge soccer fan.)

What happened to Eric Frimpong, on its face, seems sad and unconscionable. But unlike the people in the Duke case, who were quick to jump to the defense of the Dukies and tar and feather their accuser, I will reserve judgement on his guilt or innocence until I learn even more. (BTW, why have the people who were so vocal during the Duke case, been so silent during this one? That's a rhetorical question. I already know the answer)

The facts of this case sound all too familiar to some of us here in A-merry-ca; we have been down this road before. But I want to be fair to all concerned: The criminal justice system; the accuser; her friends; Fripong's lawyers; the jurors; Everybody. I want you to read the article for yourself and tell me what you think.

I will give you a little of it, but please go to the link at the end of the post and finish reading. It gets better. Or, I should probably say, worse.

"It's March 3, 2008, a brilliant day in Santa Barbara. But for Eric Frimpong, it feels like hell. He's in Superior Court, encircled by sheriff's deputies, making one more trip to the Department 2 courtroom. This is his last stop on the outside for a while, a painful reminder of how far he has fallen. He left his native Ghana in 2005 to play soccer for UC Santa Barbara; a year later he became a campus hero while leading the Gauchos to their first-ever national championship. If the immigrant experience can have a sound, Frimpong's sound was a raucous stadium. But in 2007, just weeks after being selected by the Kansas City Wizards in the MLS draft, he was accused of raping another student on the beach near his house. Now he's a convicted felon.
Frimpong enters the courtroom, which is packed with students and parents, former teammates and coaches -- row upon row of supporters. They've come for the sentencing that concludes a trial that has rocked this community: People v. Eric Frimpong. Or more accurately, People v. Eric Frimpong and His People.

A victim's advocate reads a statement on behalf of the accuser, referred to in this story and in news coverage throughout the trial as Jane Doe. "I don't care that he's a soccer star…and I'm a nobody," the statement says. "Eric Frimpong ruined my life."

There's a rumble in the gallery. If his supporters could chime in now, they'd say that the kid in the prison garb has never spoken an unkind word or acted aggressively toward anyone. They would remind the court of the points made at trial: that his accuser was a woman with little memory of what happened that night because of a near-toxic blood alcohol level; that Frimpong's DNA wasn't found on the victim; that semen found on her underwear belonged to a jealous boyfriend, a white student who was never a suspect. They would argue that overzealous law enforcement was determined to nail a high-profile athlete, facts be damned, and that this was the Duke lacrosse case all over again -- except that the defendants in the Duke case were white men from affluent families with the means to navigate America's justice system, unlike Frimpong, who is poor and an immigrant.

Judge Brian Hill, citing Frimpong's clean record and "a lot of community support," delivers his sentence: six years in state prison. As Frimpong is led away, many people in the gallery are crying. Out in the hall, Paul and Loni Monahan stand solemnly while the courtroom empties. Their son, Pat, was Frimpong's teammate, and the Monahans -- a white, middle-class family -- had embraced "Frimmer" like a son and a brother. Loni distributes copies of a printed statement: "We will continue to fight for Eric. We will not rest until he is exonerated and the ugly truth of his wrongful prosecution and conviction comes out." When the leaflets are gone, she leans against a wall, tears flowing. "Eric believed in our system," she says. "He believed justice would prevail." Then she straightens. "Before I was sad," she says. "Now I'm mad."
Something good happened in Santa Barbara. Even now, as Frimpong sits behind a glass partition in the visitors' room of a California jail, he smiles easily while talking about where he's come from and what he has achieved. The way he sees it, he has always been fortunate.

Back in Ghana, in western Africa, he and his three younger siblings were raised by their mother, Mary, in the poor farming community of Abesin, but her job as a typist with the government forestry department allowed the family to have plumbing and electricity, unlike many of their neighbors. Eric was an engineering major and a midfielder for Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, in Kumasi, when he caught the eye of UCSB assistant Leo Chappel, who attended a 2005 match to scout the son of a Ghanian pro but ended up offering a scholarship to Frimpong instead. The first words out of Frimpong's mouth? Thank God. The next: What's UCSB?

By that August, the Gauchos had a crafty midfielder with intangibles to burn. Frimpong's intelligence, instinct and vision, along with his speed and touch, made him an on-the-ball force. He also had a winning personality. "Frimmer was very humble and considerate, on and off the field," says head coach Tim Vom Steeg.

As a senior the next year, the 5'6" Frimpong developed a reputation as a lockdown defender in leading the unseeded Big West champs to a string of improbable NCAA tournament wins. When the final whistle blew on the 2006 national championship game, the Cinderella Gauchos had defeated four-time king UCLA. Frimpong earned All-Big West honors, a spot in the MLS supplemental draft and the gratitude of his peers. "He was the heart and soul of the team," says Pat Monahan. "Eric won us that championship."

Everyone around Frimpong was buoyed by his success: his mother, friends and classmates, prominent locals who had helped him out along the way with invites to dinner, rides to the store and, when he struggled with homesickness during his junior year, a fund-raiser that yielded $3,000 for a ticket to Ghana. "We all tried to pitch in, because Eric's so darn likable," says Tim Foley, a booster who made Frimpong a regular guest at his family's home. "He was an American success story."

The Monahans were especially proud. Frimpong had met his "American parents" on move-in day in 2005, and they promptly invited him to spend Thanksgiving in San Diego. They gave him his first cell phone and laptop and took him on family vacations. They sat in their kitchen for hours listening to his stories about Ghana. They were also impressed by his knowledge of the Bible, and his quiet spirituality helped bolster their own faith. "He was going to graduate, play professionally, make more money here than he ever could in Ghana and bring it back to support his family," Loni says. "Eric really had it all."

With the support of friends, including girlfriend Prieto (far right), Frimpong stayed in school after the incident and graduated.

Something bad happened in Santa Barbara. On Feb. 17, 2007, sometime after midnight on a fast-eroding bluff of beach right below 6547 Del Playa Drive, Jane Doe was raped. She said Eric Frimpong did it, and an all-white jury agreed. But the nature of the case, and some of the more slippery details surrounding it, has divided the community, raising questions about the reliability of the victim's memory, the true character of the accused, the motives and tactics of law enforcement, even the fairness of the justice system. Amid all the controversy, though, two simple truths remain: A young woman was victimized, and a young man's dream was shattered.

UCSB is among the nation's top party schools, and oceanfront Del Playa is the belly of the beast. Even a model student-athlete like Frimpong, who maintained a 3.0 GPA while working on a double major in applied mathematics and business economics, found it hard to skip the party entirely. After the Gauchos won it all, they were the toast of the town, especially Frimmer. As Pat Monahan puts it, "You'd walk into apartments and see Ghanian flags hanging over people's beds."

Frimpong's journey from soccer hero to convicted felon began a little more than halfway through his senior year. (The account that follows is based on police reports, interview transcripts, court proceedings and comments from trial observers.) The night of Feb. 16 began for Frimpong in the same place where he started most Friday nights, on the couch in his house at 6547 Del Playa Drive, watching a movie with housemates. His girlfriend, Yesenia Prieto, was working late, but Eric had reason to celebrate, fresh off an impressive 10-day tryout for the Wizards, so he showered and went to meet friends at a party at 6681 Del Playa Drive. It was outside that home, at about 11:30 p.m., that Frimpong met Jane Doe, a UCSB freshman. They struck up a conversation, then walked back to his house to play beer pong. They arrived just before midnight, and Eric introduced Jane to his roommates before taking her to the patio, where the two of them played beer pong for a few minutes until, according to Frimpong, Doe said she wanted to smoke, so they headed for the park next door. At the park, he says, Doe approached another male, who appeared to have followed them. When she walked back to Frimpong, she started kissing him, but he wasn't interested because she smelled of cigarettes. Doe became aggressive, he says, and stuck her hand down his pants. He pushed her away, then headed to the home of his friend, Krystal Giang, who'd been expecting him. By 4 a.m., he was in bed at Prieto's apartment.

About an hour and a half earlier, Jane Doe, accompanied by her sister and two friends, checked into Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital emergency clinic, claiming she had been raped...."

Sounds like what they did to my Uncle who was lynched in DeQuincy Louisiana in the 1920's. But at least the sham of due process occurred for Mr. Frimpong. What a damned shame. He oughta get another trial. Period.

The judicial misconduct as described in this article are grounds for appeal and new trial. The DAs misconduct are grounds for an appeal. And finally, the defense attorney, who said "'The best defense was no defense, because it would demonstrate there's nothing to defend," is grounds for appeal (ineffectual counsel).

Stunning! I shook my head in disbelief with every new revelation of incompetence on the part of the so-called professionals in this case... the judge, the DA and the defense.

This poor young man got screwed by all of the players whose job it is to prevent something like this from happening. I can only hope his appeals attorney knows what he is doing.

Max Reddick said...

This is frightening. Really and truely frightening. To think that one could have their life literally ruined on such flimsy evidence seems absolutely ridiculous.

From the article, it appears she has no earthly idea who raped her. Perhaps, one would possibly believe, she doesn't even know if she was raped or not. Yet, this young man's life has been ruined because of someone's bad choice, although I cannot figure out if the bad choice was his or hers or both.

But I guess prosecuters needed to send someone to jail. And the unknown black man with the white eyes(?), big lips, and exotic island accent fit the narrative. I only hope that in the end, the truth will emerge whatever that truth may be.

I read the entire article. It is part of the same old tired script.

One can infer the following from this story and the Duke case:

1. If a black woman makes a rape accusation, where her attacker is white, her credibility is assailed and her story is combed for inconsistencies. Whereas, if a white woman accuses a black man of rape, her credibility remains intact, despite gross inconsistencies.

2. DNA can exonerate a black man, whereas it will exonerate a white man.

3. Money buys the best justice.

And another thing... what kind of lousy ass lawyer would have his client in a friggin prison jump suit throughout his trial!!??? FUCKING INEFFECTIVE COUNSEL!! Ok now I am pissed. I HATE bad defense lawyers. They are the equivalent of a loaded gun that harms way too many people.

Thanks for posting this story!

It's a shame a promising young man's future has been taken away by false accusations. After reading the entire article it seems clear that they had very little evidence to convict and that the Judge was clearly a racist bigot.

I can only pray that an appeals court will overturn this ruling and set Eric Frimprong free!

That the talk of a seasoned 40-something individual. Alas, a 18-20-something black male does not think like that, especially in this age of multiculturalism.

White groupies hanging of the jocks of black male student athletes is nothing new. That crap was going down when I was a student athlete in the 90's.

You can't dim what was already dimmed 146 years and 2 days ago. There is no justice for blacks...it's JUSTUS Whites. Everyone knows that. I mean come on now, it's no secret. Even other countries know that little fact about America. It's the American way!!!

To be accused of rape by a white woman, if you're a black male, usually trumps all the evidence to the contrary.

If justice can stop pretending for a hot second that she's blind, then this case will be thrown out on its ears, on appeal.

This was certainly not a jury of his peers--What was it: nine white women and three white men?

That in itself was a travesty, and when you throw in the judge, and his rulings, and the sheriff's department questionable attitude:

"From the start, the sheriff's department felt like they had their guy. But when the evidence didn't turn out the way it was supposed to, their position became, 'If she's willing to testify, we'll go forward.' "

And her boy friend, Benjamin Randall's behavior was, at the least, suspect: he sees his girl friend with a black man, and he directly returns to his dorm, albeit upset, and, later, his semen--and only his semen--is found on the victim.

Boy, that's one gullible jury, or one hell-bent on finding a black man guilty of the supposed crime.

Boy what I'd give to be a fly on the wall in that deliberation room!

Jody, aren't these lawyers one of the reasons that the legal profession has a bad rap? I am not saying ALL lawyers are incompetent, and certainly not implying that you are, but I have heard so many complaints about incompetent useless lawyers who don't give a damn about their clients.

Considering it's Cali, where racism runs amuck, a black person accused of rape in Santa Barbara had better have some lawyer with the skills of Johnny Cochran defending him!

Jody, I was thinking the same thing. Isn't that the strategy Tyson's lawyers used? And you see where that got him. Now to be fair, I am not sure what stage of the trial that picture was from. The jury might not have been present in the court room. Still, the prison jump suit is troubling as well.

And Tia, let's not be so hard on the judge yet. It was, after all, a jury trial.

A black man accused of raping a white woman is pretty common in America, don't you think so? It's been that way for centuries and more often than not, the black male is found guilty(hung) Especially when it's an all white jury. California is well-known for its all white jury verdict involving a black man.

First, I am not a lawyer, I am a legal worker who works for, in my opinion, one of the best criminal defense attorneys in Philadelphia. He wins amazing cases is how I know that is a fact, plus he is a fighter. He does not push his clients into accepting deals. I am also a legal rights activist, a member of a legal collective that does know your rights trainings and does volunteer work with various groups around criminal justice issues.
To answer your question... the legal profession is like most professions.. there are plenty of competent people who do their job. There are some who are stand outs and do great jobs, and then there are those who are lazy, or just not very good at what they are doing.
In this case, this poor kid had a hat trick, a trifecta of bad lawyers.

For Christ's sake, not this bullshit. When I got raped, I knew I didn't stand a chance in court because of lack of evidence and racism. Some white bitch gets semen that is not even the accused's on her body and she gets "Justice". God....I hate america.

I'm not even a lawyer and I could have did a better job than both his own lawyer and the DA in the case did.

I think I'll send out an e-mail ALERT TO BLACK FOLKS warning them not to use that lawyer for anything. That's something to think about. Blacks need to stop using these lawyers that don't have their interest at heart and spread the word about them. If they can take your money and charge you and an arm and leg, they should at least do a good job defending you. If they don't want to do that, well, word of mouth still travels fast, e-mails, and telephone would be busy to make sure that they don't get any other unsuspecting black person's money.

Reminds me of that movie where the black man was going to college to be a doctor and was accused falsely and sent to prison. He eventually got out. It also reminds me of a true story of a young man named Timothy Cole who was convicted of a rape crime he didn't do. He was exonerated later on after he had already died in prison.

I think about this young man whose family is in Ghana and he is out here all alone with no family near by to support him, only the support of a few friends. He is going through a horrible ordeal right now. I wonder how he views America's justice now? A justice system that he had more faith in than it's own citizens do. I pray that the Lord shines the light on his case and that he will be freed from terrible ordeal.

That is plausible. Some folks are speculating that she is preparing for a 2012 run for the White House. I think that is less plausible, since a fair percentage of voters do not like irratic behaviour. Does a governor quitting his/her elected office constitute irratic behavior?

Funny that I can't recall the use of the word "quitting" when referring to male elected officials who resign for any number of reasons not the least of which was getting caught soliciting prostitutes.

As I re-read and think critically about the article, there are some answered questions.

1. What about the victim's epithelial tissue found on Eric's penis, scrotum and under his fingernails? Yeah, it did not have any vaginal cells. But how did it get there? Eric says the victim grabbed his penis while making advances. I guess others say that she grabbed it to repel an attack.

2. Was the victim asked if her assailant wore a condom? If so, that could be why none of his DNA was found on her. However, I find it hard for a man to rape a woman and leave no trace evidence on her.

3. Is this case an exact parallel of the Duke case. I say no. In all fairness to the Duke defendants, NO DNA from Mangum was found on any of the defendants.

Jody said...

fly.... I disagree with your point on resign v quit. Those men and women who "resigned" did so because they were "forced" out due to behavior (either illegal, unethical, or immoral according to their constituents). Resignation in politics has always connoted forced out.
Palin, on the other hand, chose to quit. While she has often been the target of criticism (mostly self inflicted), lots of politicians are the targets of daily criticism, but rarely do they quit in mid term because of it. They may choose not to run again, but they don't quit.
This is, of course, if you accept on face value, the reason she quit was because of the attacks on her. I personally think in the next few days we are going to be hearing about indictments.... thus, she jumped ahead to control the spin of her leaving.
In any case, if it does prove that she quit because of criticism, then she does not belong in politics, fair or unfair....
This is not a gender issue.

The White woman's racist weapon of rape works like a charm.

This guy's crime was being ignorant of the American reality. Just because they invite you into their homes and party with you does not mean that they see you with the same dignity they give themselves.
I wonder how many falsely accused Black men it will take for them to get that message.

I have a country mate that is serving the same amount of time for hitting his white girlfriend. She accused him of rape too.

We can excuse this guy as a naive immigrant but I have seen Black American men, especially in colleges, put themselves in situations ripe for such incidents.

Like I said before as long as Black men keep on with the White/light woman worshipping, these women will always feel a certain power over you and can accuse one of anything they please and the powerful white man will always run to their rescue because it keeps him relevant.

I feel sorry for the guy. He can only be rescued by well meaning white people in Santa Barbara who seemed charmed by his "uniqueness". As an African immigrant, I doubt Black America will put in that much effort for him.
This should be a good cautionary tale for African men in America.

I wonder; has there ever been, in the entire history of this country, a White man accused of raping a Black women, arrested, and tried before an all Black jury with a Black judge presiding?

kathy said...

I would probably compare this case to maybe, hmm, the movie Passage to India, if anything.

Frimpong needs to have a decent lawyer who will first, get a stay on his sentance so that he can be freed while this case is on appeal.

Next, while I feel sorry that the woman was raped, she is not a credible witness, given that she was intoxicated and admits to having no memory.
Frimpongs lawyer, yes, incompetent, and just allowing his client to wear a prison suit is proof.

The physical evidence alone, exonerates Frimpong.
Next, we have prosecutorial misconduct as exculpatory evidence was withheld in the case of the expert witness accounts on the teeth marks. Plus, it is not even credible that an expert witness wouldn't charge a fee. This aspect alone, should have a least rendered a mistrial.
Finally, the judge could have either called for a mistrial, OR, set aside the jury verdict, at least in NY that would be possible, I don't know California law.
Frimpong did not get a jury of his peers, a jurist wasn't dismissed, even though she was arrested for dwi while sitting on the jury, the evidence points to a jealous boyfriend as well as exonerates the defendant, there was prosecutorial misconduct, and the judges rulings were biased. Frimpong needs to be released now, not waiting for an appeal.
I took this excerpt from the link about the teeth evidence:

"Perhaps the most troubling ruling, as far as the defense was concerned, involved bite mark analysis. The prosecution's forensic expert, Norman Sperber, testified that he couldn't rule out Frimpong for causing the bite on Jane Doe's face. But detectives failed to disclose that they had first approached another expert: Raymond Johansen would later testify, outside the jury's presence, that after preliminary analysis, he told Kies that the bite mark was "vague." Law enforcement is required to turn over evidence that doesn't point to the defendant as the suspect; suppressing such evidence is grounds for a mistrial. But Kies failed to file a report of his conversation with Johansen. When questioned by Sanger, the detective stated that while he had indeed approached Johansen first, the dentist had failed to provide any opinion. Kies and senior DA Ronald Zonen both told the court that they had passed over Johansen because he wanted to charge for his services, and Sperber wasn't charging. But Sperber testified that he always charges for his services, and he did so for this case, too. Judge Hill, who had served 19 years as a Santa Barbara DA prior to sitting on the bench, ruled that Johansen's testimony was not exculpatory and denied that motion as well."

Grata,

Black men, or specifically African American men should not have to learn about anything other than having a white women in peace. This was their hidden underlining goal during the civil rights era.. so yes, they earned the right to bed and worship a white woman in peace. As for this African male, how dare you try to deprive him from the american/European dream - having a white cadillac and a white woman to sit in it.

This is why, when black males (with their non-black girlfriends) find themselves in these predicaments, I reserve my right to save my energy for something else. The name of his girlfriend alone, turned me off.

Even if Frimpong were a Black American, Blacks wouldn't stand up for him, unless Rev Al got involved. Oh, I forgot. There are Blacks who have a problem with Rev Al being in the news lately with the Jackson family and speaking out in support of MJ. They think he should step aside.

Of course there is no one else to step up to the plate but that doesn't matter to some black Americans. We'd rather be weak and defenseless than to have Rev Al or JJ involved. I am sure racist Whites are happy about that.

Thank you Mr. Field for posting this article, it is very important that all of your fellow black men read stuff like this. I don't want to sound like a hater, but I dislike the audacity that white women think, that by virtue of their skin color they can bring a black man down. What a shame, I read somewhere in the Bible Field, that you should not bear false witness against your neighbor, this sounds like thats what has taken place. I am going to prayer for this young's man's innocence. I am going to ask God to administer justice in this case. It is events like these that you just want to scream. You may be right, Field. However, the folks who complain about Rev Al and thinks that all baby boomers should step aside to give their generation a chance to do something ought to STFU because they have plenty of opportunities to step up to the plate.

Frimpong is a golden opportunity to show their mettle. Go for it... What's the problem--not enough publicity?

At least Rev Al will show up for the publicity and DO something. 'Maybe' his motives might be opportunistic but he is still the best we have--BY DEFAULT. Now, if you folks are tired of seeing Al and Jessie in the news or wherever else, then DO something.

Get off of your sorry apathetic complaining asses and Go fight for Frimpong! Show America that there is a black generation behind the dying baby boomers that has courage and mettle. Make Santa Barbara, CA your testing grounds for bringing justice!

But we all know that's not going to happen, don't we? The whiners are only going to find fault with Rev Al for NOT showing up and for showing up.

Well, I am betting that Big Al might show up. Because I think this story of injustice has legs.

La and Grata-

speak!

long ago i was told that when one is forwarned they are forearmed. there has been enough warnings along the way. if bm are still stupid enough to put themselves in such compromising situations...i will not be worked up over it. i refuse.

bw are still unrapeable, to this day. ww can have the semen of multiple other men on their person while claiming a bm raped them and still find "justice".

i don't care.

this jane doe was a semened by a third party and drunk beyond the ability to recall what transpired and what she may have consented to. bm that allow themselves to get caught up deserve it. plain and simple.

i am with La when i say...next.

yes, FN, Grata's point bears further discussion. all the bm that want to be worked up can get so, i urge bw to stand down and still. this has NOTHING to do with you. save your energy. save yourselves.

for real.

kathy, bm bedding anyone and everyone other than bw is indeed an exotic bedding choice. it may piss you off, yet, it is what it is. it is a risk one takes any time there are interracial choices on the table. one must be sure that such is not the case in their individual case. if one is wise enough to check for it, one will find it is a factor quite often.

a side note: do you eat with that mouth? if so, have you ever enjoyed a meal? lol!

in closing, i can't even begin to get worked up. genarlow wilson anyone? if one digs deep enough, i am sure there is a reason another woman is coming forward saying he did God knows what to her. when his supporters finish with the "wrongly accused choir boy" charade, i am sure the truth is anything but that scenario.

La,

Same here though I didn't realize his GF was not Black. If she is white, then his interests and resources are not geered to the BC and therefore is not entitled to their support.
BM have to learn that marrying or dating white does not absolve one from community responsibility. But since they do it to get away, if they get into trouble then the community should not be expected to come to their rescue.
So, too bad for this guy.

"I don't know how it "works" in Africa, but in America being light skinned but still Black, gains you NO brownie points with the legal system. It's called the "one drop rule"."

Really? Light skinned BM are less likely to be stopped by COPS than darker skinned men. I have a neighbor that got entangled in a messy divorce and custody battle and he believes the wife was given special treatment because she was light skinned.
I think we should be honest about Light skinned privilage. I am amazed at how much denial there is to this. The denial is worse than Whites denying their white privilage. Very few light skinned blacks will ever admit that they benefit from being lighter skinned. Michael Dyson amazingly told of his light skin privilage growing up which put him at an advantage over his darker skinned brother. That is the only person I have heard being honest about the issue.

And for the record among my people we have an even distribution of both and light skin is not valued over dark. Infact there is a certain darkness that treasured more than light skin. They belief True beauty is not light.

"Oh how sad, McNair and a young 20-year old Asian female was found shot to death in a private condominium. Perhaps he was exercising his exotic bedding 'rights', "

"yes, FN, Grata's point bears further discussion. all the bm that want to be worked up can get so, i urge bw to stand down and still. this has NOTHING to do with you. save your energy. save yourselves."

Exactly. The boy is obviously innocent and a victim. But BW need to take a step back in these matters involving BM being entangled within the justice system involving non black women. its reallynot your fight, unless you are family to the man in question.

Until BM learn to nature the community that raised them, innocent or guilty BW should ration their support for them.

And meanwhile ex congress woman Mckinney is in an Israeli Jail, where is the outrage?

I am not trying to justify infidelity; anyone reading this blog can see that. You've taken it upon yourself brand my question as an endorsement of infidelity.

Men cheat, black men do not have a monopoly on cheating.

Further what one or several black men do, does apply specifically to them, not black men as a whole.

I think simple qualification (i.e., the specific use of "some" instead of "implying" all) is in order when commenting.

That's all.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

What I take issue with is the fact that not ONE black man commenting on this post has acknowledged the fact cheating on their girlfriend/wife led to the demise of both Eric and Steve. Being Black isn't what hurt Eric or Steve, their
arrogance at the "young Black athletic buck" who can do whatever they want is what cost them.

I understand Black men don't have a monopoly on cheating, but that's not what my comments are about. It's about the fact that when it comes to cheating, Black men are too quick to circle the wagons around each other rather than call a brother out on his behavior.

With that said, Hispanic men are supposed to have the "monopoly" on being womanizers, yet Hispanic family bonds are some of the strongest among racial groups. And I say this as a decendant of Hispanics.

So I ask the question AGAIN, when are Black men going to "get" the fact that their penile decisions are not only destructive to themselves but to the Black community as a whole?

Rudy said...

You will not get an answer to your question because it is inane from my perspective.

Perhaps if you were more specific, you would get answer. Questions that begin with, "when are black men...blah...blah." shows laziness in your thought process and convenience for to support your warped perspective, in my opinion.

Further, I can only speak for myself. Infidelity would in fact destroy my marriage; hence, that's why I do not even entertain that notion.

In closing, your "experience," as well as mine, amounts to nothing more than an anecdote. Your black man anecdotes do not necessarily apply to black men in general.

Using this logic, no one black person should have come to the defense of the Duke victim because she chose to strip for white boys. Right?

Defensive much, Rudy? The only one avoiding answering questions around here is you.

The fact is that I don't know a Black woman alive who hasn't at some point in her dating life, been cheated on by a Black man. And I'm talking about women who have never been married to women who have been married for 50+ years.

I love a Black man and love them in general. But that doesn't absolve me from keeping it real when it comes to their significant part in the destruction of the Black community. I'm old school, and I belive that familes should be led by men. Of course the only problem with that in Black families is that Black men don't seem to hang around long enough to lead. Or perhaps the desire to support and nurture the familes they create simply skeets ouf of them at the moment of orgasm.

FlyNMy40s said...

If the woman at the center of the Duke case hadn't been stripping for them, then whatever happend to her with the Duke lacrosse team would not have happened. Then again, she may not have been able to finish college in 4 years either. She rolled the dice, it paid off in one respect, a college degree, but not so much in another.

Incidentally, I learned this taking Physics learning Newtons' 3rd law of motion. To paraphrase, for every action there's an opposite and equal reaction. If you can't deal with the potential consequences of your actions, then you may want to choose a different action.

Most people call this taking reponsibility for what happens in your life.

Most Black women do NOT have a problem with brother's dating outside their race. What Black women have a problem with is this idea that many Black men seem to have that other women are BETTER dates/partners/wives than Black women.

I've dated white men but I didn't do so because I thought they were better than Black men, or would treat me better than Black men, or because I thought Black men were too violent. Unfortunately, I've heard directly from Black men that some of these are the reasons they choose not to date Black women.

Then there's the case of the professional Black man that will pass on all the professional Black women he meets/knows to date a white secretary or nanny. WTF is THAT all about? Why should Black women give a brother a hive 5 for this?

Eurocentric African lies make white lies gray.

I want eurocentric Africans to embrace their eurocentrism just as I embrace my afrocentrism. Stop insulting me with your lies about fictitious colorless realities where “race is not an issue”!!! That is akin to saying “oxygen is not an issue” or “gender is not an issue” or “income is not an issue” etc....

LOL!@ Being black on your way to jail or when you die.

The Book "Why Black men love White women" is an eye openner and it confirms what I always suspected. Most of these guys are in those relationships for the wrong reasons. And BW have every right to be mad at them even if they personally are not attracted to them. I for one have stated many times, I have no interest whatsoever in American Black men. So why am I really angry?

And this "why are Black women angry about these relationships" is getting really old. The attention is always diverted to the "angry" Black woman and not the issue of the society ills being created by this behavior by Black men.

What astonished me in this book was the claim that some men are more proud of their lighter skinned creations than the darker children they may have had with a Black Woman. Now that is some seriously sick stuff, and Black women are not supposed to be mad at that?

I feel very, very bad for Eric. Even if he was a horrible person, it is really hard to believe that his DNA would not be found on the victims body even if he did rape her. Even if he used a condom (as a another poster pointed out), then the prosecution should have had the burden of coming up with the used condom or explaining the lack of his seminal fluids by the presence of latex or lubricants in the victims vaginal cavity. His semen may not have left a trail, but the condom would have. But the burden of proof should have been on the prosecution, not a bunch of posters on this site.

And yes, I would love to see Black men collectively give up the worship of the White female. However, that ain't gonna happen. For every Eric/OJ/Emmitt Till, there are about five other Black men who go to University of All White America and have more than their share of "snow bunnies" or "hitting the slopes" as Black men commonly refer to interracial dating. It's ridiculous, but I have seen and heard Black men get together and talk about the White woman and which brothers get the opportunity to "run through" the "snow bunnies" and how that brother is then perceived as a "pimp". West Coast Story, your criticisms of the Black women posters are valid, however, you should also be willing to respond to the very real, everyday banter of educated Black men. That banter belies a deeply held belief in the exotic and forbidden and perhaps, superior, nature of the White woman (and Asian, followed by Latinas). Black women are assailed by that language and attitude on a daily basis.

The minute that White girl stuck her hands down his pants, he should have gone to a bar or diner and sat there until the next day, then he would have an airtight alibi. But he is a kid, and isn't clairvoyant so he has to loose his life? I can't help but think that if someone Black (maybe if his girlfriend had been Black) had also been in his life, he maybe would have seen the signs of a drunk White woman and a jealous White boyfriend and he would have known what the score was going to be.

FlyNMy40s said...

"Do you women commenting on this issue get just as outraged at sisters dating white men?"

With the often quoted 70% unmarried rate, would you really blame BW looking else where? And with the BM's rapant practise of colorism, what are those that don't fit the bill supposed to do?
BW today largely date out as a necessity. BM will start out looking for the lighter ones and as they go higher gravitate towards white. And we still live in the old world where the men pursue women. So BW don't have much of a choice but to go with those willing to date them who sometimes are WM.
When a BW gets herself any man we applaud. The BM only get applauded when he gets something closer to White.

So the two are not equal at all and can not be argued the same way.

How many little Black girls in the country that summer had swooned over the cute boy visiting from the city? you may not want to go there. see, quite a few bm don't accept responsibility for ANYTHING they do. it.is.ALWAYS.someone.else's.fault!

your question is one that would require responsibility and accountability. most bm don't do that business. haven't you heard, it is bw, wm, the weather, a third grade experience, no childhood, they didn't get the nikes they wanted when they were 11....

good luck trying to get an answer that doesn't blame someone else. what is really sad is that most fail to see how this irresponsible behavior by bm and bw, plays right into racist stereotypes.

Don't give the typical BM response of having a chip on my shoulder. I started out by saying we need to be honest about these issues. Looks like you are ready to throw the kitchen sink.
Light skin privilage is understandably a thorny issue but IMO racism is not the worst force against blacks, I believe colorism is. So when you are ready to be honest, then maybe we can talk.

I actually expect geriatric racist and sexist fools like Imus to attack black women. I am historically numb to such ancient racial hatred and verbal abuse. Interracial hatred may indeed be an eternal and global human flaw.

It is the intraracial misogyny that wounds me. I am always deeply wounded when my own “brothers” attack me so routinely, ruthlessly, gleefully, and profitably, that to compare them to Imus is to make him sound like a multicultural saint! To illustrate my point: There is a “columnist” that poses publicly as a lover of black women, yet he regularly curses and vulgarly libels me in emails as no other black male hater I have ever endured. I am adept at ignoring such juvenile wannabees. I will continue to ignore him because he is insignificant enough to ignore.

But, I can never ignore all of the significant “brothers” who disrespect me and my sisters in all media daily. “Brothers” like Eddie Murphy, R. Kelly (When is he ever going to trial?!?), Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, and countless other “brothers” who incessantly slander us as “skeezers, skanks, tricks, bitches, hos, hood rats etc...”. I can never ignore all of the national award shows that increasingly give Oscars and Grammies to “pimps” as financial and artistic kudos that encourage these “brothers” to continue such degradation for fame and fortune.

For the record, I never had any love for Imus. But, I thought my ”brothers” were supposed to love me and inspire me to love them. As Alice Walker penned, black men are supposed to hold up half of the sky for us, as we hold up the other half for them. So, why is it that nearly every time I hear a Top 40 rap or soul song, or watch a popular video or film created by a black male, I feel like the sky is falling? Imus may feel like Chicken Little. But, my pain is caused by too many "brothers" feeling that all black women are chicken heads.

BW need to wake up to this reality. And that is why some of us are taking the uncompromising line of not supporting BM that do little for the community.

You stand by the BM to fight racism, he turns around and tries to destroy you. Any BW with a sense of self preservation would let the racsim choke her potential victimizer before he gets to her.

Nah, I am not defensive. I cannot answer a question based on your experience.

The problem I have is when you proclaim your experience as the norm. For every "woe-is-me" black woman you know. I bet I can find one who "has not been don wrong." Again, you experience is an anecdote.

Sometimes, I do not know why I bother entering discussions like this with the scornful-black-woman-type, knowing good and well it futile, since their mind is set.

I am not denying the fact that SOME black men practice destructive behavior.

Some black women do not exactly possess clean hands. But yet, you do not see anyone her generalizing them.

I am done.

shame!

I reserve my sympathy EXCLUSIVELY for Emmett’s mother. She lost her son to brutal, cowardly, racist, rabid white DOGS. Her pain must have been intensified by the revelation that Emmett was willing to die for little girls who looked NOTHING like her.

Why are so many brothers STILL willing to die for their passions for white flesh? White men never traded their lives so willingly as they raped Black women for centuries. Like those racist rapists, many of the white women these Black men adore are also RACISTS. Droves of white women married to Black men have NO Black FEMALE friends and abuse their Black in-laws. (i.e. O. J. and Nicole, read "I’m Not Dancing Anymore" by Terry Baker)

For every Sharon Stone, there is a Brad Pitt. For every Playboy bunny, there is a Chippendale hunk. For every Victoria’s Secrets ad, there is a Calvin Klein briefs ad. For every Superman, there is a Lois Lane...If most Black women can defy the mind control of white supremacist imagery, why can’t more Black men do the same? As renown womanist author Bell Hooks has stated, too many Black men refuse to politicize their penises. Why should Black women suffer this depravity, disrespect, and rejection in silence?!

There are those who will hate me for my unconditional honesty. There are those who will dismiss my sister pain because I am a lesbian. There are those who will slander my valid protests because I am afrocentric. Yet, all sisters share the same wounds. Many Black lesbians are O.J. in drag. And, no one who tells African truths is ever popular in this racist, deluded world.

I mourn the racist injustices of a legal system that has ALWAYS criminally devalued Black life. I mourn the freedom of the KKK animals named Roy Bryant and J. W. Milam who murdered Emmett. MOST of all, I mourn the ONGOING murders of the spirits of Black women by the John Widemans and Emmett Tills of our world.

I refuse to fight with Black men for my space at the bottom of the world. While sisters cry "Let's heal OUR wounds brother!", too many brothers cry "MY wound is BIGGER than yours sister!!!" It is a phallic mantra that rapes our collective revolution. (It is very similar to the homophobic cry that racist/gaybashing blacks aim at activist homosexuals: "OUR discrimination is BIGGER than yours, fag/dyke!!!")

jill nelson:

From Straight, No Chaser: “The notion that black women's independence is a contributing factor to black male oppression has long been a subtext in the black community, and its political, cultural, and social movements. It is founded on the belief that women inherently have it easier, that we are less threatening and therefore given more leeway by the dominant white culture…Nationalism required that we do the behind-the-scenes work, keep our mouths shut in public, and in private, happily assume the prone position at the whim of our King, the better to produce more male warriors. Nothing really changed for Black women except the rap and the costumes…Men who refused to buy into the white man's system by working as a slave, seemed to have little problem with his woman's enslavement…

Unlike white men, we do not have most of the political power and nearly all of the corporate money. Unlike white women, we are neither the wives nor sisters of the masters of the universe. We have no National Organization for Women or other group with clout to advocate for us. Even though Black women do most of the work in our communities, are the mainstay of the strongest organization African Americans have, the black church ...unlike black men, we seldom head churches, are elected to political office, are in leadership…White male politicians demonize me as a welfare cheat, illegitimate baby-making machine, and drain on government programs.

Black men single me out when they need either help or an example of why they are "endangered" or hindered. I am asked to cook the food, stuff the envelopes, open my legs, and keep my mouth shut…”

Therein lies the pathology with some black women who are the scorned-chip-on-shoulder type. They will use tragedy to get across their belief.

Instead of focusing on the unusual carriage of justice (or lack thereof), they focus on whether or not he was cheating. Instead of utter condolensces for a widow and four sons lefted behind in a spat of violence, they focus on infidelity.

i don't think your observations are valid at all.

you and others like you are quick to write off bw as "angry", "ill" or whatever, as soon as said bw REFUSE to pretend like they don't know or understand what is happening around them.

i personally don't care one way or the other about who bm choose to date, mate, and procreate with. it is frankly not my business.

i do care about bw continuing to get caught up and all emotional about men that couldn't care less about them. these men ONLY remember black when they are in trouble. let bm get worked up and the other women that these same bm place a premium on because they are not in black skin.

insisting on reciprocity and a concern for our mutual interests seems healthy to me. both reciprocity and concern for the mutual interests of bm and bw is missing in the so-called bcommunity. all focus seems to be on bm.

the student in this post seemed to be surrounded by ww, non bw and bm. let these groups work it out for him.

mcnair is only an example of what time it really is when folks talk about bm marrying bw more than anyone else. a little thing like marriage won't stop the white skin worship.

FN, i don't get your question. if Halle took out Eric Benet i would understand. quite frankly, after Halle's disgusting episode with the clown Jamie Fox, i would understand if her model man offed her. ok, just joking. sortta.

all jokes aside, i don't understand your question. i have noticed though that you are a pretty typical bm with your flow. blame bw for everything, CT is a bp hater because of a bw. there have been other tell-tale signs along the way. i just don't feel like going into it.

at the end of the day, i am learning to save myself by not even attempting to have these convos with bm. i care for bw and bgs and will continue to do my part to wake them up. we must save ourselves. it is in NO one else's best interest, but ours, to wake up and walk away from the disrespect and destruction.

exactly! THIS is why i mentioned Genarlow Wilson in relation to this story. what bw didn't know is that he and his boys had a blast with a bg, dumped her naked body, unconscious body on the bathroom floor and ONLY got in trouble for their party with the wg. straight new-school eldridge cleaver business.

bw MUST start to ask ourselves if every battle is for us. when we do, we will see that we have been fighting like men, robbing ourselves of the blessing of our femininity, protecting and providing for those God designed to be the providers and protectors. PLUS wondering why we don't feel well. LOL!

Assume? Are you fcuking kidding me? If YOUR wife was arriving at the home of ANY man @ 2:30 in the morning, would you assume she was there to bake cookies?

Listen, it's obvious that you are among that LARGE group of black male athletes who obviously had a sip of "vanilla latte" while in college, and therefore feels the need to stick up for ALL Black men who do the same and die due to their own sin (and lets not forget cheating in marriage IS a sin). Cool, but don't confuse a black woman's anger about where a Black man puts his penis, with her anger about what, where a Black man puts his penis, does to Black familes as a whole.

Or maybe YOU would like to sign up for the job to explaining to Steve's BLACK male son's, the real reason he's dead?

men regulate the behavior of men. those bm that are practicing self destructive behavior, now do so unchecked. it was not always this way. i think we can all see the effects.

FN, are you really asking if life is fair? i feel sure that you know the answer.

as a woman, it is not fair that i cannot go for a walk at night, despite being a nocturnal being, without fear of assault. i refrain from such activities though because i know there is the likelihood of things going sideways. in addition to that, as a bw, anything that happens will not be treated as a story of interest or concern.

no, it is not fair for this person to spend six years of his life in jail. i ask, when has the judicial system ever treated bfolks fairly?

at a certain point, more bm will need to start paying attention and acting responsibly. they will need to more carefully count costs. this will prevent quite a bit of the damage they face.

Fly-

i do believe that quite a few bw are single. i believe this statistic is thrown around to assault the esteem of bw and to make them feel unwanted for and/or unworthy of a loving relationship. those that like to throw that 70% stat out rarely if ever address the 60% (and greater depending on the report you read) single status of bm. the only time i have heard bm's singlehood addressed, it has been couched as bm feeling that marriage was a big thing and they were taking their time in order to make the correct decision. lol! this benefit is never afforded to bw. additionally, while bm are "waiting" to get married, they are not "waiting" to impregnate women. i have said it before and will say it again, bw MUST stop having children with men they are not married to. we have the power to stop the madness. we will do better when we DO better.

Tell you what I see in graduate, especially in the Sciences. Asians and Whites go to grad school LOOKING for someone to marry before they finish so they can slowly build wealth and their families along the way. Black men go to grad school, their egos swell because they are one of a very few black men in grad school, then they decide to get their "playa, playa" on instead of trying to settle down. When they are between the ages of 35-40, they decide to settle down with a woman between the ages of 23-30 and/or one that isn't Black. Black male medical students are even worse.

i mentioned this before. there are quite a few bm that will marry a bw and still continue with their white skin worship. i respect these fellas less than i respect the ones like mj that will just go the hell on somewhere away from bw.

so now, because mcnair had everything but his family on his mind, Mechelle gets to be a single mother.

nope. i have no sympathy for him. just as i didn't for the bell guy that decided to get all traditional and go to a strip club as a part of his "bachelor" party the night before his wedding, despite having a family already with the woman he was to marry...finally. wt??!! again, i feel sorry for the children born of these unions...

ladies you are correct. it is deliberate and strategic this "can't help it" race-mixing.

i think this is fine as well. MOST nations are working diligently to secure position, progress, and resources for their nations. it is as it should be. the fact that bfolks can't figure this simple thing out can be seen by the place/position/resources we hold in this society.

again, i just want more bw to stop acting like the black race is supposed to be carried by bw alone. if bm don't care, bw can't afford to care.

i have also noticed for the blk professionals that will date bw, the non bw associated with their peers will do all they can to freeze the bw out. it is almost as if it is offensive that there should be bw included where there are bm. lol! sisters need to keep it moving. it is no different than a great purse or shoes. women only want it cause they think other women want it and can't get it. lol! check them politely when they are out of line. explore your options and keep it moving.

"With the often quoted 70% unmarried rate, would you really blame BW looking else where?... So the two are not equal at all and can not be argued the same way.'

Grata, thank you. There is no comparison. The scales are too grossly imbalance to be analyzed with the same type methodology.

Now, have you ladies ever wondered what actually sparked the "Jena 6" fiasco? Let me tell you, black boys and white girls sitting under a tree. There you go, now we are required to run along and get our t-shirts.

It would interest many on how much of those black male 'race' fiascos initiated because of a white female somewhere in the midst. Like I always say, I reserve MY rights to pick and choose what battle best serves my self interest as a black female.

Btw Fly, I was going to leave it alone. But. Why do you equate having 'dark-skin' with having a chip. I noticed on couple threads ago, you also 'accused' me of being dark-skinned, you even went on to believe I have "lips as wide as the ocean". I also recall you 'accusing' someone else as well, and now Grata. You throw it as if it's meant to 'hurt' the other person. LOL.

Furthermore, you stress on being 'light skin' too much. I would think you're displaying your own subconscious/conscious colorism. In fact, based on your history of odd self elevation on this blog, I think you're actually 'dark-skin' or close to, and now you're projecting your own self-loathing in this twisting manner.

Of course, I could be wrong.

No one here is saying he deserved to be killed. I simply don't feel an ounce of sympathy toward him given his crass behavior which lead to his death.

You are all over the place. First, I endorse black male infidelity. Then I have had 'vanilla latte' in college. Which is it? What's your point?

My whole point was to not put all black men in the same boat. And somehow, I am defending the odious behaviour of some black men?

You are all over the place.

And some black women with a post-graduate degree are modest, right? RIIIIGGGHHHT. NOT!

Please, some black women are just as guilty as black men in grad school walking around like their shit don't stink. It's called the "black bourgeois."

Yep you endorse it by not "checking it" among your Black male peers/relatives/friends.

And that was you bragging about having a "vanilla latte" in college, not me because I don't think it's anything to brag about.

As for Black women in grad/medical school, almost every one I know is LOOKING for a BLACK man to share their success with. What that has to do with being modest is a mystery to me, but I tell the young sista's all the time to keep their racial options when it comes to men.

Had MJ remained Black, his would not have been the global phenom that he is. There is tremendous acceptance from the non Black world for Blacks that distance themselves from Blackness. A classic case is Tiger woods who has convinced all of us that he is not Black. You will often hear Whites defending his non Blackness, its ridiculous.

Interesting. On all college campuses I have been on, there is always this group of Black kids and in the midst is always a non BW or 2. If something were to go down, they will be running back to the BC for support especially from BW! Wake up Women.

"I also recall you 'accusing' someone else as well, and now Grata. You throw it as if it's meant to 'hurt' the other person. LOL."

If that isn't an example of colorism then I don't know what is. A woman raises issues with colorism and they are bitter, dark skinned with a chip on their shoulder. Its the euivalent of addressing racism and the white person turns a round and says you are Black and therefore bitter!Does that mean the racism is not there?

lol! keep believing that if you want to. lol! in the end the joke is on you, as per usual. lol! everyone with a brain and unafflicted by ww worship immediately recognizes that as a total crock. lol!

La, you are hilarious. just stomping through the china shop. you crack me up. hopefully both of you will understand the importance of agreeing to disagree and moving on.

you are correct though about a great deal of the hostilities between non bm and bm having to do with non bw. it seems that all other nations of men understand the importance of protecting their women at all costs, from the predators in their midsts as well as the ones from the outside. those males that fail to grasp this get no respect. i will let you guess who has demonstrated for awhile now a lack of this understanding and subsequently get no respect.

AB, i called you AG earlier. please forgive that mistake. i think you are brilliant and i appreciate your voice. keep lifting it. it makes a difference. there is an Audre Lorde quote that i love and can't quite remember right now. paraphasing it says essentially, that we are afraid that when we speak we won't be heard. however, it is imperative that we do speak, understanding that we were never meant to survive.

that was a very loose paraphrase. in reading what you write, that quote comes to mind though. thank you for your courage and your links.

it must really irk you not to get folks all riled up, huh? lol!

tiger woods is biracial. he was "black" before he was a success and later became "thai". he DOES get to choose. i don't care either way. he can be whatever he wants to be. bfolks would do well to stop trying to claim all the folks others aren't trying to claim. then feelings won't be hurt. it seems like a lack of self respect to beg someone to identify with you. who cares if tiger woods doesn't want to be black? when he is done his big black features speak volumes. lol!

Rudy after your beauty rest maybe you can help me understand why folks default to the "all" bm argument when NO ONE has said anything about ALL bm?

I'm going to leave all the interracial dating stuff alone because ultimately I don't believe there's such a thing as race. We're all one like it or not. We may come in different flavors but we're all jelly bellys! :)

As to the story, Field thanks for sharing. This young man is inspiring despite the sad events that have been our introduction. It's amazing how people have rallied around him and stuck with him -- even hollywood stars usually can't manage that. This young man perseveres with grace.

As has been pointed out, everyone in the system has failed him. In the end, they've failed the young woman too by directing her to the wrong person while her real attacker remains free.

Hopefully, the coverage will help Mr. Frimpong. I know I'll be pulling for him.

the cool intelligent anon:

i admire all of your brilliant posts herein too...

it is tragic that the same whites who now claim that there is no race also arrogantly fail to recall that the black race is the singular genetic origin of all races

race is indeed a political construct...and i resent that whites can only admit that belatedly, as they quickly become the very same minority in america that they have always been globally

mj chose to embrace his racial selling out and was blatantly clear about his financial/mental/surgical/media constructs of the WHITE race

and yes
just as prince and little richard knew their hyper feminine/androgyny made them safe and tame around white female fans...mj CHOSE to become a WHITE male/female/toon to attract whites/white children en masse

“I think it is symbolically very significant that Michael Jackson, after introducing a vehicle, the music video, that promotes colorism and the supremacy of White standards of beauty, proceeds to remove any and all vestiges of his identity as a Black man.”

As a 41 year old eternal fan of the young Michael, I will always adore the memory of that beautiful, gifted, ebony skinned, African-American boy that he once was. I will always love his wonderful music and dancing. Likewise, I will always loathe the gruesome, phony, devious, ghastly, ghoulish, twisted, anemic, Caucasian pedophile that he has surgically and chemically chosen to become. Those white supremacists who initially claim that they cannot understand my repulsion and resentment need only envision Elvis Presley choosing to physically morph into Naomi Campbell. Then, they tend to feel my pain.

Ofcourse he wouldn't have dared have a WW. That would have ruined his cred. Just like you rarely see rappers with WW.
Ever seen a BM whinning about racism while married to a WW? They look pathetic and hypocritical.

MLK however may have been a colorist.

"My correction, the mistress was an Iranian. (No wonder her deadly fanatical behavior was akin to a suicide bomber)".

And who convincted Frimong? Not joining the protest party is convicting someone? WOW! Are these the standards we go by now. Black Women not running to the BM's rescue, we become the prosecutors. How about, we are too busy protecting and defending ourselves to care about the BM's struggles. Dude take a break from what ever it is you are smocking.

OJ innocent? Now there is denial. Count the days of BW covering up for BM long gone. You can keep singing that tune though. We wait to see how far it takes you.
And, Black men emasculate themselves by abandoning their women, children and community.

Every other race knows that taking care of those is what makes a man. BW have for too long helped cover up the emptyness of Black manhood.
They are now tired. Its time for BM to prop up their own manhood. Its a tough world, get used to it.
