Keith is gone, and black folks need not apply.

Keith Olbermann is out and already some of you Negroes are hoping for a black replacement at MSNBC. It Won't happen. So stop getting your hopes up. You Negroes need to stop begging "the man" to give you shine, and start trying to get your own television stations, (Shout out to David Honig) and supporting the ones that are already here. (I am talking TV One. I am still not down with BET just yet. Sorry Bob.)

Still, if they do decide to go black I would just looove for them to go with my man Tavis.....NOT! That is the last Me-Gro I want to see representing black folks every night. Roland Martin? Hmmm, Roland is OK, but my man will have to work on those suits. Roland, it's called a suit, not a straight jacket....OK let me stop.

I wonder if a black anchor at one of these cable shows would be talking about the bomb that was found in Washington? The lame stream media sure is quiet about it. Or, the cop from the "windy city" who was doing his best John Demjanjuk impersonation on black folks for years. I guess racial tensions and hate groups aren't selling in A-merry-ca these days. One political act of terror is enough for now. We are just getting over Tucson, we can't overload the public. There is just so much hate we can take here in A-merry-ca. You can't pursue happiness when you are hating anybody.

Oh well, that's all from me folks. I will just watch some games today while I anxiously await Oprah's big announcement about her family secret on Monday. It's going to be tough holding my breath so long.

There's a bit of speculation that Keith was pushed out at the behest of the new 17-headed Comcast/NBC/Satan Industries comglomerate. At least that's what I've been seeing over at Digby's Hullaballoo and Firedoglake.

field,

the dopey blog article about the "bomb" claims the bomb was placed along a parade route in Seattle.

In fact, the bomb was found in Spokane, 350 miles east of Seattle. Thus, the blogger is too dumb to get some basic facts right. That lapse makes everything else rather weak.

As for the FBI comments, well, if the backpack were filled with road flares (which look like sticks of dynamite) and a kitchen timer with some wires on it, they would have said what they said.

This is one case where I want to see a credible article about the exact contents of the bag. What explosives were in it? If any?

Present a link from a somewhat crediable news source that verifies your claim.

"As for the FBI comments, well, if the backpack were filled with road flares (which look like sticks of dynamite) and a kitchen timer with some wires on it, they would have said what they said."

Because when you find something that looks like a bomb, you tend to treat it as a bomb. Otherwise, it can get people killed.

"This is one case where I want to see a credible article about the exact contents of the bag. What explosives were in it? If any?"

So you're telling me you don't even know, because you didn't do your fucking homework?

Come on, Slapstick. Even Constructive Feedback tried harder than you. You're disappointing a lot of people with this weaksauce shit.

field, the article about the Chicago cop stated:

"It's outrageous," said Mark Clements, who claims Burge's officers tortured him into giving a false confession in 1981 when he was 16. Tears ran down his face and his voice rose in anger.

Torture? What does that mean? What happened? Obviously not much.

Nevertheless, you compared the cop to John Demjanjuk, the Nazi prison guard who directed Jews into death chambers.

You're a menace to the world of logic. Worse, you've attempted to create moral equivalence between Nazi death camps and one Chicago cop, who, with your guilt-by-association rationale, represents ALL Chicago cops.

How bad is the black-on-black urder problem in Chicago?

mack lyons,

Hey bonehead, if you want to get the facts on the suspected bomb found along the parade route in MLK Day, then google it.

You will get about 200,000 results telling you the suspected bomb was found in Spokane.

Meanwhile, I'm all in favor of taking a cautious approach to possible danger. But after the danger has passed and the suspected bomb has been analyzed, I want to know what was found.

At this point, the statements about the bomb are so vague that they mean nothing.

Meanwhile, I was in Spokane visiting relatives on Christmas Day. My travels took me along part of the parade route.

Shady_Grady said...

N_S actually according to both Cambridge and Meriam-Webster dictionaries "Straightjacket" is an acceptable variant.

So maybe you need to check what you write before you write it. Of course that could be said of about 99% of your posts so at least you're consistent..

The gasbag who replaces Olbermann will not be black because a ranting raving black gasbag would appeal only to viewers who believe the impact of slavery will never end, that whites are the root of all evil and money grows on trees that are owned and controlled by a special group of whites who won't share.

Gasbag Olbermann attracted only one million viewers, which, in the eyes of comcast management, clearly fails to make the grade.

Meanwhile, no national TV/media company wants to risk its future by putting a racially divisive black gasbag on the air.

If Comcast were to put Al Sharpton on the air, advertising revenue at MSNBC would evaporate.

Meanwhile, black gasbags have well known vocal practices. There's the soaring rhetorical style of MLK, which is imitated by many, including, at times, Louis Farrakhan.

And there is the often incomprehensible style of Jesse Jackson.

Then there's Gospel Style, which generally ends with people on their feet and swaying to the music. Lots of Hallelujahs and Amens filling the air.

Burge should have gotten a stiffer sentence because he represented official authority and thus he created even less respect for our institutions of power. Of course Roland would be a better pick than Tavis, always go with the Alpha man over the Kappa, duh. I wouldn't mind seeing Montell Williams, Bev Smith or Ed Gordon. Mike Malloy or Lionel would be great but that would never happen. Oh hell, give Ron Reagan Jr. the gig, he's good on TV.

Given the 'shoot people for having lives' non-mentality of the local wites...I would easily assume a bomb. Seems after a few heroic heroes bravely shot unarmed civilians..the police started shooting. Made the brave heroic heroes reconsider their heroic bravery.

It's interesting to see you fulfill the need to belittle Blacks and Black achievements, mistreat and discriminate against Blacks and then turn around and accuse Blacks of being "whiny victims" when they speak out against continuing injustices. Note how most sociopaths have absolutely no sympathy towards their victims.

I'm beginning to think this is all a mental illness shared by many whites, stemming from long-running mental programming designed to mentally classify Blacks as "nonhuman"/"subhuman" in the minds of whites in order to justify continuing abuses and mistreatment. And it has a name.

Extreme Color-Aroused Disorder (ECAD)

Symptoms of Extreme Color Arousal include paranoia (the Black men are after my daughter); obsessive compulsive behaviors (separate bathrooms, redlining); hyper-vigilance (enforcement of segregation, even today in whites-only schools, movies casts and television shows); anti-social behavior and lack of empathy (genocide in Iraq, callous disregard for suffering in New Orleans); and delusions (Blacks are a separate “race).

The worst thing the United States did during its inception was allow and turn a blind eye to the use of slave and indentured labor. Because of that, this country ended up building itself on a hypocritical and morally bankrupt foundation.

The price? The overall sanity of white Americans, as they were twisted and manipulated into hating people of color, the poor, and on a subconscious level, themselves and each other. And as always, the corporate money-men made out like bandits, just as they did with the tobacco farms of colonial Virginia and Carolina, just as they are doing now with the finance and insurance industries.

One person intimate with MSNBC's management, however, said there were strong indications that the timing wasn't coincidental. With Olbermann's patron, NBC chief executive Jeff Zucker, no longer part of the company's leadership, "the timing was right" to seek the removal of the successful but difficult host and anchor, said one person familiar with the principal players who spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to maintain a business relationship with the company.

Field said..: "I wonder if a black anchor at one of these cable shows would be talking about the bomb that was found in Washington?"

I don't know, I can say it has been publcized enough so that most people have heard of it.

Here's one I bet you never heard about. Just last fall, a far-left student named Casey Brezik attempted to kill the Governor of Missouri.

Ever hear of Casey Brezik? Neither did I, until now. A story at the American Thinker explains how a story that doesn’t fit the accepted MSM template doesn’t bubble up to the national news:

"In September 2010 Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon was scheduled to speak at Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City.

At some point, wearing black clothes and a bullet-proof vest, 22 year-old Casey Brezik bolted out of a classroom, knife in hand, and slashed the throat of a dean. As he would later admit, he confused the dean with Nixon.

The story never left Kansas City. It is not hard to understand why. Knives lack the political sex appeal of guns, and even Keith Olbermann would have had a hard time turning Brezik into a Tea Partier.

Indeed, Brezik seems to have inhaled just about every noxious vapor in the left-wing miasma: environmental extremism, radical Islam, anti-capitalism, anti-Zionism and Christophobia, among others.

In his “About Me” box on Facebook, Brezik listed as his favorite quotation one from progressive poster boy, Che Guevara. The quote begins “Our every action is a battle cry against imperialism” and gets more belligerent from there.

On his wall postings, Brezik ranted, “How are we the radical(s) (left) to confront the NEW RIGHT, if we avoid confrontation all together?”

Now, do you think the story would have received a little more attention if the assailant were, say, a white conservative who sympathized with the Tea Party?

Belittle achievements? Like what?

As I said, there are black oratorical styles. However, based on your paranoid response, you seem to believe that mentioning identifiable styles is belittlement.

MLK was a great orator. Same goes for the Gospel style speakers.

On the other hand, as I said, Jesse Jackson jumples his words a lot and is often incomprehensible. At those times, he sounds as though he's got a mouthful of gravel.

In any case, the MLK style and the gospel style will not attract many regular viewers.

The angry rant works well enough for Olbermann, enabling to attract a million viewers -- one-third to one-half the viewers of Beck and Limbaugh.

You wrote:

Ah, again with the excuses. Crime in the black community is perpetrated by black criminals. Not invading whites.

Academic underperformance is an outcome of individual effort or lack of it.

Public schools have problems because public school students bring their external social pathologies with them to class. No teacher, principal or school can undo the damage of a lousy home environment.

Anyway, as I've said, if there were an independent black nation somewhere on the planet that was successful -- low crime, growing prosperity based on an educated working population, clean water, diseases under control, real industries, democratically elected leaders -- then more people would believe you.

But given the utter and total failure of every black African nation -- home to probably 800 million blacks -- your complaints carry no meaning.

When blacks in every black nation think about emigrating, where do they go? To other black nations? Or Europe and the US?

YUP definite pre-teen here. You might want to look up what Meritocracy means son.
The last thing Black America wants is a system that chooses based upon intelligence and capalities determined by actual testing. We knows dem tests is racist cause you can't pass dem.

Meritocracy, in the first, most administrative sense, is a system of government or other administration (such as business administration) wherein appointments are made and responsibilities assigned to individuals based upon their "merits", namely intelligence and education, determined through evaluations or examinations.

uptownsteve said...

Obviously black head coaches have proven themselves to be up to the demands of the job.

And you're right.

Were it not for the Rooney Rule these QUALIFIED black men would not have been given a chance.

How is that a bad thing?

Because white guys no longer get 100% of the available jobs?

And if you are suggesting that is how hirings and promotions are made in the corporate or government world then you haven't spent much time in either.

Most resumes for positions in either government or corporate America are very similar in experience and education.

The actual hiring is done on very subjective criteria (how the hiring manager FEELS about the applicant).

As long as white guys hold the majority of management positions, they are going to choose people LIKE THEM, who they feel most comfortable with.

Marvin Lewis said...

You are a complete idiot, upswipe. The NFL is all about winning. 75% of the players are black. If they don't discriminate with players, why would they discriminate with coaches? If anything, coaches take most of the responsibility for failure and are the first to get let go. Why would an organization spend $150 million on a payroll and then jeopardize it by not hiring the best coach possible?

Race is not a factor in hiring decsions in the NFL, and the Rooney Rule is an insult to the professionalism and character of every team in the NFL. It's also an insult to great coaches like Tony Dungy and Mike Tomlin, who don't need affirmative action interviews.

It is hard not to compare the press coverage of Jared Loughner's Tucson rampage with that of Major Nidal Hasan at Fort Hood. Hasan killed and wounded twice as many as Loughner, and the fact that he was an officer in the United States Army would seem to give his attack a particular significance as well as a unique horror. Moreover, Loughner was just a nut, while Hasan was part of a worldwide movement. Yet, for whatever reason, the press has been far more interested in the Tucson shootings and in the fate of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords than in the servicemen and women who were shot by Major Hasan.

It's nice to get daily updates on the condition of Ms. Giffords, but I don't believe I had even heard of Staff Sgt. Patrick Zeigler until today. Sgt. Zeigler had just finished a tour of duty in Iraq and was at Fort Hood in preparation for beginning Officer Candidate School when he was randomly targeted by Hasan. Hasan shot him four times, once in the head. That shot wiped out twenty percent of his brain and left a large hole in his skull. Eight brain operations later, Sgt. Zeigler has made what some consider a miraculous recovery. It is a little hard to see why Major Hasan's Fort Hood attack, and the havoc it wreaked on Sgt. Zeigler and many others, has been of so little interest to the liberal press.
