Oh, in the waning days of March a guy live-streamed his own shooting to Facebook. Everyone involved is Black, of course. No outrage, no marches, no demands for justice. Black lives don't matter to Blacks, apparently.
Well, an Amtrak train derailed in your hometown of Philly after hitting a backhoe. (WTF was a backhoe doing on the tracks?) Only two dead so far, so I guess it could be worse.
One of Putin's henchmen assassinated one of his ex-cronies in Washington, D.C. (Russian involvement unproven, of course. The guy mysteriously died of blunt force trauma. Is that better or worse than radioactive polonium poisoning?) Putin just gets scummier and scummier. Like the mafia, he'll go to the ends of the Earth to whack anyone who ever made him mad. Also, it was just leaked that he's got about $2 billion squirreled away in offshore accounts, which he has been steadily embezzling from his nation. You can see why American right-wingers get a boner thinking about Russia's bare-chested dictator. He's as greedy and vicious as they are.
Meanwhile, outside the US of A, Europe is getting ready to execute on their "deport everybody" plan. They've reached the breaking point for accepting refugees, and this is where things get really ugly. Expect huge rioting in Greece in the very near future.

Some good stuff that happened:
1. We missed you
2. Some Muslims are up in arms...well that may not sound so good...but...they did scare away some henchmen that went to intimidate them at their mosque.
3. Everybody here behaved and didn't say too many foul words :)
4. The police fired that cop that went after the poor mailman.
5. We all found a bunch of things we all have in common.
6. We love each other a little bit more now. (I think)
7. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, so we love you a littlemore now. That does NOT mean you should take so many vacations though x( ;)
I'll leave it at that 'cos 7 is a lucky number and I guess others will have some more good stuff to add on here. I wouldn't know any more 'cos I was flaked out too, mostly in bed watching 48 hours on the internet TV hookup my son rigged up for me xD Ain't got no time for such bad news!

Hey, you know what they say about the news -- if it bleeds, it leads. About 75% of news is bad stuff happening.
Sometimes it's less depressing to not know.
Of course it's less depressing MOT! If you turn off your TV today,and not watch any news anywhere else, then turn it on a year from now,I guarantee you will see the exact same stuff happening, the exact same! The players/countries might be different, but otherwise,no change.
I say this because I've done it. Now I just observe but the waters always reach their level again. So why bother? :)

If you think 15.1 > 49.9, you fail elementary school math class.
So why the weird recent national obsession with Chicago's homicide rate? 1. The kid lived. Furthermore, authorities intervened as soon as someone saw something was wrong.
2. Mama was strung out on drugs but there's no indication that anything was badly wrong before then. THEREFORE,
