I don’t think he has agreed to it, except as a starting point for negotiations, which is basically meaningless.
All that has really been agreed to at the moment is that the US and Israel will temporarily stop the bombing and Iran will temporarily open the Strait. And, obviously, the US will have to force Israel to comply even with that, because Netanyahu wants to interpret the ceasefire terms as “but we can still bomb Lebanon, right?” (No, dumbass. Just stop, already.) And all of this is only for two weeks and then who knows what will happen?
What should happen is that Iran should agree to reopen the Strait and not charge tolls to any ships passing through, the US should agree to pack up and go home, and Netanyahu should agree to go fuck himself.
Unfortunately, getting to this result might require sensible people at the table who were negotiating in good faith, whereas the leaders of all three countries are utter trash.
Iran sees that having a nuke is the only deterrent that really works to keep backwards countries safe from being overrun by larger ones (see also: North Korea), so now they are definitely going to get one. Ironically, there was a fatwa against nuclear weapons from Ali Khomeini that perished with him in the original strikes.

China is much better positioned to endure the inevitable oil shock than pretty much any other country, having right around 40% of their energy consumption from renewables already, and dominating the world market for their infrastructure and production.
They understand that fossil fuels are not sustainable and have been planning for the real future for decades.
Also, they have a more favorable standing in the world now than we do, so are in a better position to negotiate energy purchases in the short term. Lots of countries used to want to shun China because they were run by vicious fuckers, and they still are, but they are a far saner choice to do business with right now than the US under Fergus.
