Some thoughts on the Super Bowl and the Big R.

*
Congrats to the Packers! I knew you were for real when you beat my Birds here at the Linc.

Sorry "Steeler Nation", maybe next year. (Meanwhile, somewhere in Georgia, a young lady is saying "Karma is a mother &^%$#@")
Is it just me or did all the commercials pretty much suck this year? (What is with A-merry-ca's fascination with the ABW?) I liked the Audi spot, and the VW spot where the little boy was dressed up as Darth Vader, but that was pretty much it. (OK, Doritos where grandpa comes back from the dead and the home improvement Bud spot both get honorable mention.)

Anyway, I won't be racism chasing tonight, although I could. (WTF is wrong with the po po in Houston? No wonder city officials tried to sit on this video tape for damn near a year.) Rather, I would like to praise a small town newspaper (in Louisiana no less) for doing some racism chasing of their own.

Frank Morris was murdered by the Klan in 1964, and his killing is just one of 100 unsolved civil rights cases that the FBI reopened recently. Good for Stanley Nelson of the Concordia Sentinel for staying on this case for four years. He has now fingered someone in the crime, but 71 year old Arthur Spencer says that he is innocent.

"I feel sorry for his family, but I didn't have nothing to do with it"

Maybe not Arthur, but somebody did it, and if he (or she) is still alive they should be brought to justice.

Finally, there are some things racially related that I won't be chasing tonight, because I really do believe that the Big R is using them as decoys. Confederate art work at a Georgia college? Nope, move along, nothing to see here. The Big R is trying to distract us. The Chinese using a black man (who, supposedly, resembles the President) to sell chicken? Closer, but still, no cigars. Sorry, it's no secret that you Negroes love your fried chicken and there is nothing wrong with that. If you wanted to sell Rose Brand Gourmet Chinese Egg Noodles, I don't think anyone would take issue if you used a Chinese for the ad. I am just saying. You Negroes need to stop being so sensitive.

I'm out.

"She's gone black- boy crazy I've gone white girl hazy"

It's Saturday night and I still haven't gotten my invitation to chill with Barack and Michelle to watch the Super Bowl tomorrow. I guess I will be watching it from Chez Field. That's a shame. It sure would have been nice to go over the intricacies of the 3-4 defense with J-Lo and Marc.

Anywhoo, since we are talking sports, I want to talk about a couple of b-ballers down in the land of Dixie, who found themselves in hot water for befriending a melanin challenged classmate of the opposite sex:

"Millry, Ala., is a town where racial tensions have allegedly been running high for a very long time. The boiling point was hit recently, when a white father came to the town's high school and threatened one of the black players on the basketball team.

The infuriated parent told one of the boys that if any of them made contact with his daughter, he would "kill him and his black friends," at least that's what was reportedly told to Latisha Mitchell, the step-Mother of one of the players."

Now now Negroes, calm down. Let's be fair about this; it's the man's daughter and he has a right to determine who she associates with on a regular basis. The girl is, after all, still in high school.
No need for the NAACP to get involved and Dr. Boyce to tell us stories from his youth, when he and his little play- mate would play jungle fever instead of on the jungle gym. If you Negroes don't realize by now some of the things that terrifies white A-merry-ca you might need to check in with me more often.

"When we analyze our broader society, we have to consider the fact that there are quite a few white parents in America who are happy to have black friends, will play sports with African Americans and even invite us in to their homes.

But many of those same people would be repulsed by the idea of their daughter bringing a black man home as her boyfriend. This form of racial animosity, at its root, is built on the lasting American notion that whites are superior to blacks.

In the case of the small town of Millry, Ala., the community cannot miss this opportunity to discuss the roots of racial division and oppression. This father said what a lot of other whites in town are already thinking, and these young men are likely scarred from having their lives threatened by a dangerous adult."

Don't worry Dr. Boyce, they won't be "scarred". In fact, if they are good enough at sports to play for money one day, they will probably end up marrying their little white classmate. Isn't that how it works in A-merry-ca?

BTW, my only problem with this story is that the father wasn't arrested and charged with making "terroristic threats "on school property. Flip the script and make that white parent a black one and I guarantee you that his ass would be on the phone with a bail bondsman right about now.

Finally, I am going to go ahead and support my fellow Pistolvanians tomorrow in the Super Bowl. If the Packers win it won't be the end of the world, but it would be nice to see Omar Epps get his second ring before he is 40. I wonder why he left House?

Glossing over history for "The Gipper."

Folks, please excuse me if I don't get through this post, I am still tearing up over the touching way DeSean Jackson and a couple of other Eagles responded to that young man who was bullied recently here in Philly on The View. Fellows, that was serious field Negro behavior.

So let's talk about the man conservatives pray to every night, Ronald Reagan. This week is a big deal to all those who love the man who will soon have his image on Mount Rushmore. "The Gipper" will be 100 on Sunday, and you would think that he freed the slaves and wrote the Declaration Of Independence all by himself.

Sorry folks, but, once again, I have to be the contrarian.

Reagan the fiscal conservative? Sorry, Ronald Reagan was responsible for the largest tax hike in California's history when he became governor.

Under Reagan's watch A-merry-ca's debt climbed from 712 billion to 2 trillion, and "The Gipper" never presented a balanced budget to Congress in his eight years in office. (That,by the way, is historian Kevin Starr talking, not the field.) And yes, it was under Reagan that unemployment hit 10% for the first time since the Great depression.

Under Reagan's watch, (whether you believe the "Dark Alliance "story or not) the crack epidemic exploded in this country. And, generations later, urban A-merry-ca is still reeling from its effects.

Reagan's assault on labor unions in this country created a climate for cheap labor which led to A-merry-can jobs going abroad. Under "The Gipper" the homeless population exploded to over two million. Poverty rose by over 25%, and we can thank "The Gipper" for putting our beloved A-merry-c on a path to Third Worlds status.--- Very rich folks; very poor ones, and a weak middle class.

Issues of race and civil rights? Don't even get me started. "The Gipper" embraced the apartheid government in South Africa. (Did I mention that he launched his presidential bid from Philadelphia, Mississippi?) He kept up a constant assault on affirmative action, cut funding for social programs which disproportionately affected black folks, and he fired members of the Civil Rights Commission who did not see eye to eye with his look away policies on matters of race. (Did I mention that he launched his presidential bid from Philadelphia, Mississippi?)
Oh, and for good measure; he invaded that big bad Island of Grenada just to show those darkies down in the Windies just how tough A-merry-ca was. He opposed the Voting Right Act because he said it was "humiliating the south", (Did I mention that he launched his presidential bid from Philadelphia, Mississippi?) and he sided with Barry Goldwater in opposing the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Nice.

I won't even get into Ollie North, Iran- Contra, and his horrendous foreign policy as it relates to Lain America. (Read this link.) "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall". Yes, he tore it down, but no thanks to you. We can thank those fighters in the mountains of Afghanistan (who just so happen to be giving us hell right now) for that.

"I would rather have Roosevelt in a wheelchair than Reagan and Bush on a horse"

Jesse, try telling that to the people who worship at the altar of "The Gipper". Soon, that horse will be on Mount Rushmore, and the B movie actor with the gift of gab will be sitting right on top of it.

"The first cut is the deepest."

"Society exists only as a mental concept; in the real world there are only individuals.”

Reading that quote from Oscar Wilde has me thinking about our newly elected wingnut friends in Washington.

They said they were going to cut 100 billion large ones from the current budget when the got to Washington, but now that they are there reality seems to be getting in the way.

Paul Ryan and company will soon find out that running the government isn't like running Mom's Diner on Main Street. Alll of a sudden those cuts that they promised to make when they got to Washington aren't looking so easy to make. I wonder why?
But, not to worry, I am sure that they will give it the old college try.

They will cut education. (Sorry folks, if you have a special needs child, they are on their own.) That will be an easy cut for them. Who cares about educating a bunch of urban kids with our hard earned money? Certainly not some folks in Washington:

"According to news reports, American Crossroads, a Karl Rove run special interest-funded shadowy outside group, is running ads defending House Republicans' plan that will cost jobs, cut education funding, and make America less competitive. In 2010, American Crossroads was responsible for $40 million of secret spending from “wealthy Republicans and corporate interests” according to the Wall Street Journal. " [Source]

They will cut social security benefits. Yes, even if you have been working all of your life and paid your taxes like a good citizen is supposed to. If you can't work until your eye- sight and your hearing goes forget about it.

College loans for low income students? Gone. Medical research to cure diseases like cancer? Gone. Highway and bridge repairs? Forget about it. Get used to those potholes, folks.

"Endless borrowing is not a strategy," Ryan said in a press release. "House Republicans will continue to build upon this down payment, working to restrain the explosive growth of government and to help restart America's engine of economic growth and job creation."

"Restart"? Oh, that's right; it stopped right around 2001.

Hail Mary, full of grace, please save me from the black bogeyman.

*
Oh Lawd! Now the black bogeyman done raped a nun. A NUN? Wait......

"The New York Daily News is reporting that a Brooklyn nun called police last week claiming she had been sexually assaulted by a 6'4", 250 pound black man who was around 40... no wait 50, yeah that's the ticket, he was 50 years old.

The 26-year-old white woman claimed she was headed back to her convent (*pictured above), just minding her own business, when a hulking black man ambushed her, choked her and then dragged her eight blocks (all while in her full nun's habit), before raping her and leaving her unconscious in a snow bank. In New York, it's been snowing a lot!

She said that when she woke up, her underwear was down and her breasts were exposed for all of God's children to see. She called the police and told them all about what this mean black man had done to her.

Police released a sketch and put out an alert asking for the public's help in locating this sinister, black nun-raper. The sketch looked a lot like Satan!

However, police became suspicious, finding it very hard to believe that some big black dude carrying a white unconscious nun in a full habit, would have gone unnoticed for eight blocks. Even in New York.

Meanwhile, the victim was treated at a local hospital and ultimately returned to her convent to seek counsel from her Mother Superior." [Source]

.......Never mind. Another false alarm. Besides, the "flavor of the month" bogeyman is a little busy on Pennsylvania Avenue right now.

It's time to raise the 'Cuckoo's Nest".

WARNING! WARNING! Beware of the new meme coming from the wingnuts about Egypt: The uprising over there is being led by Communist and Jihadist and not by ordinary people who just want to be free from Mubarak's iron grip.

Apparently we get to decide when the will of the people is a good thing. If the people have free will but make the wrong choice with that freedom that is not a good thing. Saddam bad. Mubarak good. No, wait, both bad, but Mubarak supports our interests in the region, so Mubarak good for us...or something like that.

Anywhooo, one of the reasons I love to blog is because I get a chance to read what the conspiracy nuts and FOX followers are saying. (They leave comments on this blog all the time.) It's one crazy rant after another. A world view so bizarre and out of touch with reality that one really has to wonder what these folks are breathing for air. (Comparing Obama to Mubarak and Pharaoh?)

Their leader, for the moment, is one Glen Beckkk. And his take on what is happening in Egypt pretty much sums up the mindset of my wingnut friends.

I will let David Neiwert tell it:

"Like Steve Benen, I'm beginning to wonder if our favorite Big-Time Wingnuts are about to implode under the critical mass of their own overpowering wingnuttery. It seem as though Sarah Palin's bizarre "WTF" rant of the other night -- while not particularly spectacular in the context of a political career rich with embarrassing moments -- may have been the pebble that finally tipped even her reflexive defenders in the other direction. (You sure can't find anyone outside of Planet Palin who will defend it.)

Then there's Glenn Beck in the past couple of days. Conor Friedersdorf's reaction reflected the consensus: "the fact that Roger Ailes and his associates air this kind of nonsense –couched in these kinds of assurances! – is indefensible." As Benen says:

Over the last year or so, Fox News' Glenn Beck has lost about a third of his audience, which is a pretty significant drop, and may very well lead the deranged media personality to think of ways to bring viewers back.

One way, for example, may be for Beck to be even more creative when sharing crazy visions of global affairs. Yesterday, the strange man did his best to explain events in Egypt with a take that really has to be seen to be believed. Chris Hayes called it "a tour de force of paranoid ignorance," which sums it up nicely.

As you can see, all he's really doing is reinforcing what even some of Beck's Believers are now beginning to realize: that he's an ignoramus peddling cockamamie conspiracy theories with no regard to facts or truthfulness.

You see, Beck believes that events in Egypt are the culmination of conspiratorial forces he's been railing about for some time now -- essentially revolving around an obscure book by French anarchists that nobody is actually reading, The Coming Insurrection.

Basically, Beck foresees a Middle Eastern "Caliphate" overtaking Europe and China controlling big chunks of new territory, all fueled by a "Marxist" and "Islamist" conspiracy:

I believe that I can make a case in the end that there are three powers that you will see really emerge. One, a Muslim caliphate that controls the Mideast and parts of Europe. Two, China, that will control Asia, the southern half of Africa, part of the Middle East, Australia, maybe New Zealand, and God only knows what else. And Russia, which will control all of the old former Soviet Union bloc, plus maybe the Netherlands. I'm not really sure. But their strong arm is coming. That leaves us and South America. What happens to us?

Then Beck went on Bill O'Reilly's show and explained the nutshell version:

BECK: No, I think we're actually possibly the witnessing Archduke Ferdinand moment. Archduke Ferdinand was the guy who was killed -- shot, a few months later started the First World War. I think we're in real danger.
..
BECK: I understand that, but what you're not taking into account is that that is what the average person thinks, just like the average person on the street of -- of Cairo thinks they're swept up in some freedom movement. It is not about freedom. It is being orchestrated by the Marxists, communists and primarily also the Muslim Brotherhood.

Sean Easter and Todd Gregory at Media Matters have a thorough roundup of the madness, and conclude by observing:

All of this was offered up in service of his theory that the protests in Egypt are the manifestation of The Coming Insurrection, an obscure book that French police believe was written by a member of a small group of anarchists. Beck has repeatedly described the anonymous author (or authors) of the book as "communists." He's tied George Soros and President Obama to The Coming Insurrection, as well.

So, a diverse group of the Egyptian people are in the streets protesting an autocratic leader, and Glenn Beck has decided that this is directly connected to an anonymously written anarchist tract from France that he's been obsessing about for the past two years?

Normally, we are in the business of debunking the falsehoods and smears that Beck promotes. But how do you debunk pronouncements that quite obviously bear no relationship to reality?"

Ahhh David, you can't. You can only listen and thank your lucky stars that you were born with a brain.

Spare the .38 and spoil the child.

Before I post tonight I have to reiterate a very important "man rule" for all of you fellows reading with me.

I am pressed to do this because of a very unfortunate (and uncomfortable) incident I had today. Men, here is the deal: If you go into the bathroom and there are more than two urinals (four in this case) and only one urinal is being used, please do not go the urinal directly next to the person doing his business. That is not cool. It's right up there with watching Lifetime television or wearing a short- sleeve dress shirt under your suit in importance of man rule violations. Don't do it!

Anyway, let's talk.

I never want to hear folks say that only black folks are too harsh when they discipline their children ever again. Yes, we might put the rod to the little Rugrats when they get out of line, but they always live to see another day. You white folks, on the other hand, not so much:

"TAMPA, Florida — A suburban Florida soccer mom showed signs of trouble in the months before she was accused of killing her two teenage children: Her 16-year-old daughter told police in November she had been hit by her mother, and troopers investigating a car crash thought the woman had been using drugs.

The incidents were described in reports released Monday, several days after authorities say Julie Powers Schenecker, 50, shot and killed the kids because they were talking back and being "mouthy."

Story: Mom charged in teens' slayings out of hospital
Investigators found her soaked in blood Friday on the back porch of the family's upscale home. Later that day, at a county jail, Schenecker shook uncontrollably, her eyes wide.

Investigators said 16-year-old Calyx and 13-year-old Beau had each been shot twice in the head a day earlier — Beau in the family's car on the way to soccer practice, Calyx in her room as she studied at her computer

Both teens were killed with a .38-caliber pistol, which authorities say Schenecker bought five days earlier." [Story]

You bratty teens better let this be a lesson to you. You want your MTV but don't push your parents too much, because, if you do, you just might get something else.

Finally, I have been thinking about going back to church-- if only for the fellowship. I need to be in the company of some good god fearing people. I think about it, but then, unfortunately, some of you church folks show your true colors and cause me to change my mind.

"FLETCHER, N.C. - Authorities say a dispute over leadership at a church in western North Carolina turned from angry words to fist fights.

About 30 police officers from five agencies were called to break up fights Sunday at Greater New Zion Baptist Church in Fletcher, about 94 miles (150 kilometres) west of Charlotte.

Henderson County Sheriff's Capt. Jerry Rice says no one appears to have been seriously hurt.

Church members are divided over the recent ouster of the Rev. LeVonia Ray as pastor of the church. The fighting apparently began over whether a vote should be held to reinstate him.

Rice says there were about 75 people at the church when police arrived, but not all of them were scuffling. No charges have been filed. " [Story]

Oh Lawd! Thank goodness no one was hurt. I bet the next sermon is going to be really interesting at New Zion. Here is hoping that the Reverend works in Matthew 5: 38-40 in that bad boy.

Run Haley! Run! A political opportunity is a terrible thing to waste.

We are in day six of the Egyptian uprising-revolution-crisis-protests, whatever you want to call it, and my man Hosni still refuses to call it quits. (Hillary, I saw you on television tonight and you must have aged 10 years since the last time I saw you. Oh well, that's why they pay you the big bucks; to figure out how A-merry-ca is going to balance on the fence with this one. )

Still, it's nice to see that your boy is bringing the economy back from the dead. I know that the wingnuts are hoping and praying that he fails, but hey, such is life in the A-merry-can political arena: The other guy can do no good.

And speaking of the political arena; I see that Mississippi's finest is considering a run for the White House. Unfortunately for him he has some...well.... issues.

"Barbour argues that his generation of political leaders attended integrated schools, but his 1965 high school class -- he was valedictorian -- was segregated. He enrolled at the University of Mississippi three years after a bloody battle in which federal troops and marshals were ordered on campus to enforce the court-ordered enrollment of James Meredith as Ole Miss' first black student.

"I went to integrated college, never thought twice about it," Barbour said this past fall in a webcast interview with Peter M. Robinson of Stanford University's Hoover Institution, with whom he served in the Reagan administration.

It's true that the university was integrated, but just barely: Though Ole Miss had an enrollment of at least 3,300, the yearbook shows fewer than a dozen black students when Barbour arrived as a freshman in 1965.

One of them, Cleveland Donald Jr., said he didn't know the future governor, who joined a fraternity, got involved in student government and helped organize campus concerts. With no chance of joining a fraternity himself, Donald tried to attend a meeting of a Christian student group.

"I went to one meeting and they moved off campus because several of them did not want me there," recalled Donald, now a University of Connecticut history professor.

Barbour said he remembers sitting next to a pleasant young black woman in a literature class, and that she let him borrow her notes.

"I had a great experience," he said of his time in Oxford, adding after a slight pause, "I didn't study too hard." [Source]

But all is not lost. It looks like Haley might have had a "road to Damascus" moment. No blinding lights for Haley, just good sound politics.

"Over the recent Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, Barbour used emphatic language to address Mississippi's place in the civil rights area: "Deplorable actions including the murder of innocent people, young men in service to a cause that was right, will always be a stain on our history."

As part of the 50th anniversary of the Freedom Rides, Barbour plans to host a reception honoring the activists. And this month, Barbour used his final "State of the State" address to say this is the year for Mississippi to build a long-delayed museum dedicated to the civil rights movement.

"The civil rights struggle is an important part of our history," he said, "and millions of people are interested in learning more about it."

Amen Haley. I love when folks are willing to learn.

Finally, speaking of learning, I hope that you Negro parents will try to take the time to prepare your children to learn in school. I know it's hard, but please try. Folks are tired of trying to come up with innovative ways to help your children learn. From Hip Hop in Minnesota to straight up segregation in Pistolvania; it's one gimmick after another.

Whatever it takes I guess, but I can't help but think about the Ivy League ball player,Dau Jok, who had to -literally- write in the sand in school because they had no learning materials. No such excuse here. All it takes is just good old fashion work. In the classroom and at home. Remember, a "mind is a terrible thing to waste". Just ask Haley.

"A friend in need..."

"So much trouble in the world now Bless my eyes this morning
JAH sun is on the rise once again The way earthly things are going
Anything can happen"

Bob, (Marley) you speak truth.

Hosni Mubarak has ruled Egypt with an iron fist for over thirty years. Like others before him, with a similar ruling style, he has been an A-merry-can ally (1.5 billion is a lot of money) in a very volatile region of the world. So now what? His chickens, as the saying goes, are finally coming home to roost.

Egypt has a very young -and very unemployed- population, and they have taken to the streets. From the looks of it, they could be there awhile. Mr. Bush, if you had only waited this is what would have happened in Iraq. But noooo. Sorry folks, I couldn't resist.

Anyway, Hillary and Obama are scrambling like #7 on a Sunday afternoon at the Linc. They are trying to get on the right side of history. But, as Run- DMC so famously said: "It's Tricky".

If they come down too hard on Mubarak and speed up the revolution the end result could be the Muslim Brotherhood taking over. Not a good look if you are an A-merry-can. Don't come down on him and A-merry-ca will look like she is siding with an evil dictator who doesn't want to relieve himself of power pursuant to the will of the people. Again, not a good look.

What 's a president with a Muslim name to do?

O man here is a suggestion for you: Call your boy Hosni and beg him to step aside. Tell him that you will personally have him and his family escorted to a beautiful villa in Malibu where the A-merry-can government has laid it out with all the trimmings for him. Then, pray that the people of Egypt have democratic elections and a moderate government takes power. With any luck the joint will look like Turkey in twenty years.

Now this is all assuming that he will take your call. The pundits are already saying that you got the people fired up in Egypt with your little speech back in Cairo over a year ago. So let's just hope that Hosni isn't watching CNN.

Ohio Prayers.

Snow snow snow, and more snow. A brotha couldn't even go to the plantation today.

Anywhooo, a lot of you have been sending me e-mails about the case in Ohio where the African American mother was jailed, fined, and given probation for sending her children to a predominantly white school. I wanted to look at the case a little more before commenting, because things in A-merry-ca are not always as black and white as they first seem.

Folks who know me know that I part company with most of my ideological soul-mates when it comes to school choice. It's one of the few issues where I usually find myself arguing from the right side of my brain. I truly believe that a good education is one of the true equalizers in A-merry-can society, and if our public schools are failing I want our children to get a good education wherever they can.

When I saw the story about this poor lady being punished for trying to get the best for her children it gave me cause for a pause. I am a lawyer, and I respect the law. And, to be honest, Kelley Williams-Bolar did technically break the law by lying about her residency. But Kelley-Williams-Bolar, like any good parent, just wanted the best for her children; so she did what she felt she had to do to get her daughters into a better school. It's that simple.

Sometimes judges have to use common sense from the bench. And this judge down in Ohio did not do that. I dare say that the punishment did not fit the crime. A judge should always look at the totality of the circumstances before handing out a sentence, and this judge clearly did not do that. Or did she? Maybe the judge was just following the will of her affluent constituents. (Do they elect judges in Ohio?) I also have to wonder what triggered this little investigation into Kelley Williams-Bolar's background. ("Oh oh, here comes field with the racial angle.") Why would the school district hire a private investigator to follow the lady to see where she dropped off her daughters? --That was a rhetorical question. I know why. Akron, that is not cool.
Anyway, my question to the wingnuts would be this: Why the silence on this issue? I thought that you were all for school choice? Why is this story only getting folks outraged on the left? Hey,when it comes to school choice I am all in with you wingnuts; so why am I alone on this one? Where is the wingnut love?

The tragedy in all of this is that our public school system has become so bad that parents who want the best for their children have to make these tough choices. This poor woman lived in a housing project, and she clearly knew that she was taking a risk by lying about her residency to get her daughters into a better school. But she took it. True field Negro behavior if you ask me.
For those of you who believe in such things please pray for this lady. She needs all the help she can get. And, sadly, her daughters now do as well.

Another one!

I was going to trash Michele Bachmann tonight for her spurious take on history. But while reading my local paper something else caught my eye that moved me.

You have to understand that I am not one that is easily moved by murder and mayhem. I practice criminal law in Philly. Murder and mayhem is a part of my life. But every now and then a story leaves me thinking that it's time to pack it up and head for the hills.

"All police knew about the murdered teen whose body was dumped in Germantown a week ago today was written on his shirt: Roxborough High School.

With no identification on him, police went to the school the next morning and pored over the absentee list, looking for a missing student who matched the description of their victim, sources said.

Meanwhile, Patsy Foster had spent the night calling her son, Christopher, then all morning calling hospitals after he didn't return from a quick trip to a sandwich shop with a friend.

"I was getting ready to call police Thursday when they knocked on the door and said they found him," she said. "I said, 'Is he OK?' He wasn't."

Christopher Foster, 18, was found with a single gunshot wound to his torso on Woodlawn Street near Morris at 8:16 p.m. Jan. 19, said Homicide Sgt. Ron McClane. Patsy Foster said her son was also beaten around the head and face. "

The racist will follow this post with their usual pontification and dogmatizing about how bad those black teens are, and how Christopher Foster had it coming to him because he was probably caught up in the life. But, just for tonight, I will forgive them. Why? Because I know that it's just a matter of time before A-merry-ca starts closing in around them. The life that they think they have -far from those animals in the urban underbelly of A-merry-ca- is nothing but an illusion. Those heartless and depraved folks among us are around the corner from them as well. It's just a matter of time before someone who they know or love becomes just another Patsy Foster.
