When outrage gets selective.

I have a question for conservatives: Why did it take Mr. Bad Hair making light of John McCain's time as a prisoner of war for you to see just how despicable this charlatan truly is?

Where were you when he was telling anyone who would listen that the president of the United States was not born in this country? Or when he sent investigators down to Hawaii to look into all aspects of the president's background? Or when he bought into crazy conspiracy theories, and publicly declared that president Obama is a plagiarist?

Now, all of a sudden, he is a "jackass".

I guess I shouldn't expect anything better from the same folks who were, not long ago, "Swiftboating" another war hero for political gain.

I find it interesting that of all the crazy and outrageous things that this clown has done, this is the thing that is causing the most consternation among republicans and conservatives.

For instance, those outrageous statements about Mexican rapists to kick off his campaign got a response  that reminded me of a certain Simon & Garfunkel song.

"It's not just absurd, it's offensive. It's ridiculous. And I do think it's a disqualifier as commander-in-chief..." ~ Marco Rubio~

Please!

Field, you have got Trump all wrong. He is a good man and will lead this nation to its finest hour. Blacks will have jobs; Blacks will be respected and honored;

The KKK will be vanished from America, totally wiped out; There will be no more illegal aliens crossing our borders who kill our citizens;

Our vets will be treated well, and honored by our government; There will be no shady deals with Iran; ISIS will be toast;

China will respect us; Putin will respect us; The world will once again respect us.

Businesses will pay their fair share of taxes.

Brother Field, there is a new 'hopeful' day coming with Donald Trump. I suggest you get on board because the train is about to leave the station.

It probably won't matter what the Very Serious Republicans say about Bill the Cat, I mean Donald Trump's campaign being over behind this latest Classic Trump Pronouncement, as Boss Limbaugh has already issued marching orders that Trump is still the one, and Boss Limbaugh's orders WILL BE FOLLOWED.

Easy answer.

Insulting immigrants doesn't hurt their voting base like insulting the military.

While Field is complaining about Trump insulting immigrants, a Mexican singer loses her sanitary pad while on TV. The ugly nasty incident went viral. It's the first time ever in the history of humanity that this has happened. That doesn't look good for Mexican immigrants.

Don't worry, Field will defend it.

Brother Field, you could have posted a better photo of Trump. Why did you have to select one with his hair all over the place? To tell you the truth, I wish I had his hair instead of this kinky hair I was born with. I am sure there are many other brothers and sisters who feel the same way.

Probably you do too? I know Yisheng, PX and definitely PC do. Being Black has some disadvantages in a white world.I am seriously thinking about getting a process like Purple Cow has.

Here's the thing: Trump is in the lead and will continue to lead. There is no one in the GOP that can overtake him. Frankly, I think he will be a good thing for America and minorities.

FYI, the link you provided me does not work. Did you do that on purpose to disrespect me too? It's depressing and I wish I were White. But the Whites tell me I am Black. Then Field tells me I am White. This is totally messing me up.

I like these ones:

Trump on Helen Keller: "She's a hero because she was blind and deaf. I like people that aren't blind and deaf."

Trump on Martin Luther King Jr: "He's a hero because he was assassinated. I like people that aren't assassinated."

They encapsulate the victim-blaming ideology of the Republican Party: If bad things happen to you, they must be your fault, loser, because our economic system -- and, hell, the universe -- is perfectly fair. "Shaddup, whiner!!" should be the party's official motto.

In so many ways, Trump is like the Republican id, converted into a living, breathing person.

Trump is a greedy, amoral businessman who has expanded the millions he inherited from his father by doing scummy, scammy, unethical things. He's basically a con man, someone good at sweet talking people with fat bank accounts and little sense into funding his mostly doomed projects. Then when they fail, those investors' stakes go bye-bye while Trump walks away with his assets unscathed. He's declared corporate bankruptcy FOUR times -- which means shafting his investors four times. (Meanwhile, I'm sure that he'd view all the little people who declare bankruptcy after getting in over their head in debt, due to layoffs, medical emergencies, divorces, and such, as "losers" who deserve no sympathy. Off to debtors' prison! Let 'em eat cake!)

And the businesses he's built are pretty worthless in themselves -- junk that adds very little value to our society, such as casinos. Heisting gambling addicts and little old ladies out of their pensions via one-armed bandits -- bravo, sir!

And then there's his militant racism. I'm not only talking about all of his insane, offensive utterances, but also his abuse of minority tenants in the slumlord real estate he owns.

So, hey, why shouldn't he be number one in the polls among the Republican base? He's their guy. He sums up all of their most important despicable values. He's a symbol of inherited wealth, and pure, distilled greed and bigotry.

@ Doug

I forgot all about Max Cleland. That was another very telling episode in Republican scumbaggery. All flag and patriotism and "support the troops" -- until an opportunity presents itself to rip down a Democrat opponent.

Oh, so a grenade was dropped by one of your comrades while you were fighting in Vietnam and blew off a couple of your limbs, Max Cleland? Hahaha, LOSER! Clearly, you should've worked harder to not get blown up. All your fault. #NoWhiners.

I might as well throw in the abuse hurled at Chuck Hagel during his confirmation hearings, while we're at it.

The guy was a war vet, and a Republican, no less, but Obama nominated him for Secretary of Defense, so this instantly converted him into America-hating garbage.

Oh, I should also mention the Joe Walsh versus Tammy Duckworth debacle.

Joe Walsh was another out-and-proud loudmouth asshole Republican, much like Trump. And his campaign against Democrat Tammy Duckworth bore some similarities to the Max Cleland episode.

Tammy Duckworth had both legs blown off when the helicopter she was piloting got shot down in Iraq. But according to Joe Walsh, it was really unfair of her to ever mention this major event in her life. Talking about her service proved she was not a "true hero."

Joe Walsh: "Now I’m running against a woman who, my God, that’s all she talks about. Our true heroes, it’s the last thing in the world they talk about. That’s why we’re so indebted and in awe of what they’ve done."

Joe Walsh got crushed, come election time.

At the moment, Trump is polling number one in the GOP.

Now, mind you, I don't think for a moment he will hold onto that lead. The wider Republican Party has more of a sense of self-preservation than that (but only barely).

Support of Trump does, however, reveal what values the core of the party, the faithful true believers, really stand for. And none of those are good.

Just like how Blacks say the right side of common sense doesn't support them.

Well, here's a link of black-on-black crime in Alabama, a murder by black teens on a black 49 year old innocent man who was standing up for the right of free speech. And brothers killed him... another brother that Field and Purple Cow can denounce and call 'White'.

Like I have said again and again, "It's depressing to be Black in America. If the 'white ones' don't get you, then the 'black ones' will."

So, go ahead, brother Field and asshole PC, accuse me of not being Black...You Negroes are a bunch of Turkeys.

@ depressed Negro

This is still under investigation. You might want to hold off on making any conclusions about what happened.

Even if it happened as the crash survivor described -- which is not an established fact -- this is still a long way from proving "brothers killed him."

"Reckless behavior leading to an unfortunate accident" is an equally likely possibility. Yelling at someone in another vehicle doesn't make you a murderer unless you actually deliberately run the other person off the road.

Anonymous said...

Oh, you're another one like Field and PC who rationalizes for wrongs committed by angry Black teens.

It's obvious that those teens were involved in the death of this poor black man who supported flying the Confederate flag.

This brother was minding his own business when these Black teens drove up beside him to harass and intimidate him.

This incident just might bring back more black support for the Confederate flag as it should.

Blacks have got to stop hating on each other. It is depressing and more violent than the KKK could have ever done. Of course, folks like Field and PC will remain silent about this.

------------
Brother Field, the sixties and seventies were part of the prime of my life. I was in college when JFK was assassinated...a very painful moment for the nation, esp for Blacks! Followed by the murder of Malcolm X, RFK and MLK, that experience molded and unified Blacks never before seen before in the history of this nation. Blacks 'were' singing and living for the first time "I'm Black and I'm proud." But that moment in black history and American history has long passed as you continually and so aptly demonstrate. Nevertheless, I am proud to have been in that number.

As far as movies are concerned: Superfly, Shaft, Brothers, and other black movies--they all played a part in the proud lives of many Blacks during that time. It's too bad you weren't there. If you were, you'd have a better idea of what it means to be Black and to 'treat' and 'honor' other Blacks with 'respect'.

You are of what many Blacks call the "unconscious hell generation"....meaning you are unconsciously taking your black race straight to hell for the sake of Whites.

Politically and intellectually, you think like White Democrats, while claiming to be Black or 'down for the cause'. Compared to the Blacks in the 50's 60's and 70's you have no idea of what it is to be Black simply because 'you don't know.'

In addition, you refuse to observe or see anything 'new' that could possibly help or lift the black race 'up' out of its misery and suffering. Have you ever considered what it means to be Black, or what it means to be human? Of course not. You're too busy playing politics and thinking that's all there is to life.

Not only are you ignorant, you aren't too bright, which most is the hallmark of most lawyers. You and Clarence Thomas have much in common.

To me, Marco Rubio's "Obama takes it easy on ISIS so he won't offend Iran" statement was a disqualifier. Iran had two brigades fighting ISIS when he said it. Rubio is too uninformed to be making decisions.

A while back I raised the question of why Fox News constantly harped on the illegal immigrant that killed a woman in San Francisco, when it was telling their viewers to vote for Trump, and not for Bush. Recently I read an article that explained it. Other Rupert Murdoch media does follow the traditional divide and conquer strategy of duping the poor to get them to vote candidates who will do the bidding of the rich, and still have a chance of winning an election. But Roger Ailes' racism over came his "common sense". Ailes is part of the racist Republican constituency that wants a loudmouth bigot for president.

The media is out to get Trump. I think he would put the other Republican candidates on the spot and expose them. John McCain was a war hero, but if Jeb Bush had said the same thing Trump did, the media would have passed it off as a joke. Trump lives in what Charles Krauthammer called the "alternate reality Fox News creates for its viewers", but he isn't owned by special interests.

No, Roger Ailes is a servant of rich people. (And one very greedy rich person in particular: Rupert Murdoch.) Everything he does is calculated to maximize the power of America's own aristocracy at the expense of the rest of the citizenry.

And racism is one of the primary ways that Fox dupes the poor and middle classes to vote against their own interests. If Fox's nitwit talking heads get it wrong occasionally and accidentally feed the rubes a few too many hate-nuggets, causing them to support a disastrous candidate -- well, that's just a miscalculation of tone.

All that means is they need to tack away from the immigrant-bashing (or bashing of whomever happens to be the scapegoat du jour) for a few weeks until viewers calm the hell down and can be redirected away from a trainwreck candidate like Trump and back towards a more electable plutocratic lackey like Jeb.
