Passion on the right but none on the left.

*
Before I start this post, I would like to take a moment to think about the thousands of children who have died in Somalia due to the turmoil that has rocked that region.............................

Let's keep those poor children in our thoughts.

Now unfortunately, here in A-merry-ca, gun violence has once again caused unspeakable horror to hit a small community:

"COPLEY, Ohio — A man apparently angry with his girlfriend gunned down two people outside an Ohio home and two more in a car Sunday morning, then shot the girlfriend in a rampage that left eight dead including the gunman, who was shot by police, authorities and witnesses said.

Two others were wounded, police said. A child was among those shot, witnesses said, though police wouldn’t confirm that. Investigators were trying to piece together what happened at four crime scenes, Copley police Chief Michael Mier said.

A neighbor, Gilbert Elie, said he was getting ready for church when he heard gunshots and cries for help in his northeast Ohio neighborhood, a wooded, residential area outside Akron. He went to a house across the street and said he found a shocking scene: the woman who lived there lying in the driveway, her husband shot near the garage, and their young granddaughter and another woman sho t in the front seat of a vehicle, the windows apparently blown out by gunfire.

A third woman came out of the house next door and tried to talk to Elie, he said, but their brief exchange ended abruptly when a man followed her out of the house and shot her, sending the 75-year-old Elie running for safety behind a truck.

“She was talking to me, and he come up behind her and shot her, so I figured, maybe I’m next,” he told The Associated Press.
He hid until he could see the gunman was gone, then returned home. Police arrived, and Elie said he heard a second round of shots coming from behind the houses and assumed officers had killed the gunman." [Story]

It seems that I do one of these stories at least once a month. I am sure that I will be doing another one again really soon.

Finally, over at The Root, someone wants to know if the left has lost its passion:

"...The Tea Party's remarkable victory reminds us that a radical splinter group can seize control of the issues and impose its will by threatening to wreck the system if it does not get its way.

That is a lesson that the left used to know back in the days of the civil rights and anti-Vietnam War movements but seems to have forgotten since the presidential election of Barack Obama. The old distinction once drawn between mass social movements and political campaigns was lost in the emotional fervor aroused by the triumph of the first African-American president.

A lot of us acted as though Obama's election was an end in itself, rather than a means to accomplishing the change that his candidacy promised. But the election was never really about just getting Obama elected. It was about our ability to compel the new president and the Democratic majority in both houses of Congress to respond to our needs and our demands.

To do that, we still needed a movement, separate and apart from the president's political apparatus, that could support him when he did the right thing and pressure him when he didn't. As evangelical activist Jim Wallis recently wrote, "it was the robust activism of those independent progressive movements of the past that created the space for major reforms and made other presidencies memorable. That's because social change does not ultimately rest on who is in the White House, but a movement outside of Washington, D.C., that makes fundamental reforms possible." [Full article]

Yes, a movement "outside of Washington", indeed. But where will it come from?
Starting a movement these days requires money. The tea party clowns had lots of it. They were bought and paid for by wealthy folks who bankrolled all types of front groups. Their passion was manufactured and it was made easier to do so because of the color arousal (thanks for that word, Francis) that gripped most of the folks who rode with them. (See those people* in the picture? Most of them probably lost their jobs under George Bush.)

There is no passion on the left because the propagandist on the right have done a damn good job of selling their snake oil to you A-merry-cans. "We are all in this together. We are A-merry-cans first, and we will not let those lefties take us down a path to Socialism."Yeah right. Even the so called progressives in this country still align themselves with one politrickster or another. But it's the same old run around. It just feel a little better because the guy screwing you happened to buy you a drink, first.

But this could all change soon. As the wealth gap widens and folks start to see that they have been played, maybe the passion will come back. Politricksters in both political parties care about only one thing: staying in power. And they will do whatever it takes to keep going back to Washington. Hopefully a time will come in this country when the rest of us will start doing everything in our powers to make sure that they don't. Or, better yet, even if they do get to Washington; what they do when they get there wont even matter.

Will he turn the other cheek?

“Over the years you’ve heard plenty of promises from plenty of people and plenty of speeches. And some of those speeches were probably pretty good. But speeches don’t put food on the table. Speeches don’t fill up your tank. Speeches don’t fill your prescriptions,”.... My opponent makes speeches. I offer solutions. It’s one thing to get people excited. I want to empower you.”

Tough talk like that from the ice queen, and the fired up won't take no more speeches girlfriend has been giving lately is fine as far as I am concerned. Hey, this is politics, and Hillary is supposed to give tough speeches when she is attacking her opponent. Sorry Obamaholics, shit happens when you are running for the highest office in the land.

But that picture your campaign floated out there today Hillary was over the top, even for you. I mean I know that you are facing--- to steal a quote from Dick Morris, "political extinction" but my god woman have you no shame? Showing the "O" man in that outfit from Somali in a turban (nothing scares white folks more than a black man in a turban) to remind A-merry-cans that he is black like any other field Negro was low. Hell, I am typing with one hand while I hold my family jewels in the another. Why? Because I am feeling that shot you gave the "O" man, that's why. "Oh come on field, you are from a country where they kill their political opponents in record numbers. How dare you question our democratic process here in A-merry-ca? Yes, maybe I should find some context . I suppose in the big scheme of things smearing someone by floating a picture of him out there to create a black Bogey Man isn't the same as killing him. But geez. If you do this and he looses, you sure will be killing the "hopes" of millions of people Hillary. Oh, and one of your supporters did actually try to kill his in law over this shit. See what firing up your supporters can do Hillary? Hey, maybe we are closer to the politics of my homeland here in A-merry-ca than we think.

For the next couple of days I will see if the "O" man turns the other cheek, and if his campaign fires back. Think a picture of Monica Lewinski making goo goo eyes at Bubba while she was in that receiving line. Floating some pics out there of that shit again would be a start "O" man. And see what a nice field Negro I am? I have decided to give your campaign a head start by putting a picture of girlfriend on my blog. I think Monica looks good in black don't you?

So Many Bombs So Little Time!

"Apart from the kingdom of the Lord there is not on this earth any nation that is superior to any other. Should it happen that a strong Government finds it may with impunity destroy a weak people...God and history will remember your judgement" ~ Haile Sellassie- Apppeal to the League Of Nations- June 1936~~

Yeah try telling that to George Bush Emperor Sellassie. Times have changed a little since 1936.
Yes folks, the frat boy and the bad perm lady have decided that they will give those Muslims a little taste of America's fourth of July celebrations just a little early. Oh we bombed the sh** out of those Somalians didn't we? Seems like we were looking for three -yes three- men who bombed our embassy in Tanzania back in 1998. You remember, the razorback was in the White House back then. So in the course of looking for these three men, we throw down some whup ass on a bunch of poor ass Somali villagers. According to the Somali government, who by the way, told the frat boy he could go a bombing in the first place, there was 31 people killed (including a four year old) and we are still not quite sure if we got these Al Qaeda operatives. You gotta love it, the nerve of some people. Do you think we would bomb Canada if we though a bunch of terrorist were hiding out in Toronto? Or do you think we would bomb Germany if we knew that a bunch of terrorist were hiding in Hamburg some damn place? Oh wait, we did suspect some terrorist were hiding out in Germany! No bombs huh? I didn't think so.

But it seems like that whole horn of Africa region is becoming a serious problem doesn't it? ( I told you so) Oh if the bad perm lady running the state department would only read my blog she would have seen these things coming. But noooo; the good Doctor with the shoe jones, is too stuck up the neo cons ass, and too busy looking out for the latest style shoes from Bottega Venetta, to notice what's really going on in the world. So here we go again! Bomb another poor useless Third World ass country, so that we can pound our chest and say that we are doing something about terrorism.

Cowboy George, I am not impressed. You want to impress me; go drop a couple of those bad boys on Iran, or North Korea. Now that would seriously impress me. But it ain't gonna happen, because everyone knows that we are a little preocccupied in a little place called Iraq right about now.

So what about this latest smack down that we initiated? Well, it seems the European Union condemmed it. It seems that U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned it, not to mention the Ethiopians, who are supposed to be our Christian allies in that part of the world. As it stands, the only ones who were for this little bombing excursion is the very fractured and unstable government sitting in Somalia. Seems they have a little Muslim problem themselves, and are locked in a fierce battle with some folks known as the UIC (Union for Islamic Courts) who have been playing musical chairs with them. Seems these UIC folks, is Africas version of the Taliban, and they are winning more hearts and minds in that region on a daily basis.

I sure hope it was worth it? And I sure hope we got those three-yes I said three-SOB's that bombed our embassies and committed other terrorist attacks. Cause if we didn't get em, we have just created yet another mess in that part of the world, and made the war on terror that much harder to fight.

According to the Christian Science Monitor, the U.S. is now switching the focus of the military and closing basis in places like Germany, and Korea. And in the meantime, expanding and opening basis in places like Uganda, Djibuti, and Senegal. Great, just what we need, the militarization by western forces on the African Continent. Happens every time; we couldn't bring you Africans food and drugs to fight AIDS, but we will bring your ass guns, bombs, and three fu%**#g warships instead!

Somalia's President, Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, said the U.S. has his support, and the military says that they are going after Al Qaeda's point man in the region. Seems like a no brainer right? Except with the frat boy, it's never that simple. Just remember folks, there is a big speech tonight, and the frat boy has to put that war on terror front and center on our minds. We can't lose our focus now folks, because the moment we do, Al Qaeda will strike. That's why we have to strike them before they strike us. Because under all the bodies of those innocent women and children, there has got to be a terrorist somewhere.

The field is out.
