Angry people.

I wonder what the rest of us did to make the deplorables so angry. I mean they are an angry bunch.

If you are brave enough to go to one of their rallies you will see what I am talking about.


I must admit that I have never understood where all the anger comes from. I mean, let's face it, most of them are white men of a certain age, and they are therefore afforded certain privileges that the rest of us can only dream of here in America. And still, they are angry and full of hate.

But then you see the video below of a truck convoy of Trump acolytes traveling in a convoy from Wrentham to Foxboro, Massachusetts, and it confirms every suspicion you ever had about those who are on Team Trump.

On CB radios, thinking that no one was listening in, one of the truckers exclaims:

“Lynch the ni**ers by their d*cks!”

Another driver proudly declares:

“Burn every single ni**er!”

Then a third driver joins the hate speech and tells the others:

“All I know is we got plenty of trees to hang ni**ers from.”

Nah, Trump supporters aren’t racist at all, are they? Bullshit! All you have to do is watch or listen to a group of them when an African-American or Hispanic person walks by and you’ll quickly discover that they are among the most hate-filled bags of feces to ever drag their knuckles across the ground." These people are serious, folks,they are no joke.

 

Now I am really worried. I mean what happens if trump loses come November?

 

"Right-wing radio host Michael Savage has warned Donald Trump supporters to stock up on ammunition and gun for two reasons.

“If Hillary Clinton gets elected she may ban guns and we might need them if the country devolves into civil war,” said Savage on his radio show.

Savage is like several other Trump supporters who are warning of violent revolution. Last week, Trump said his supporters might have to take 2nd Amendment measuresif the election is rigged.

According to Right Wing Watch, Republican activist Larry Klayman said the country is on the brink of civil war.

“It’s a war. It’s a war between left and right. They’ve created a race war, regrettably, between black and white. Hillary Clinton is about ready to do it between men and women,” said Klayman in an interview with Newsmax.

In a World Net Daily article, former Republican presidential candidate Pat Buchanan said a Clinton win could lead to a revolution." [Source]

Another "white guy" endorsement.

  Tonight's cut and paste post comes from a white guy who is endorsing Donald trump.

 "I hereby offer my full-throated endorsement of Donald Trump for president.
After months of expressing disgust at the real-estate mogul and his xenophobic, distasteful campaign, something dawned on me: I'm a white guy.

What the heck do I have to lose in all this, aside from my self-respect, sense of morality, compassion, reputation, family and ability to ever look at myself in the mirror again?

By sacrificing those minor things, my America can be made great again! (I didn't actually think my America was that bad, to be honest, but apparently it is just awful, thanks mainly to people who look different than me. Who knew?)

At a rally in Florida on Saturday, Trump noted: "We have a terrible president who happens to be African-American."

That's an excellent point, and I'm glad Trump made it clear to his predominantly white audience — who held their right hands up and swore allegiance to Trump in a way that didn't seem at all Nazi-ish — that the president who is terrible happens to also be black.

Trump's not saying there's a connection, he's just saying. (Wink to all my fellow white guys.)
But if there's one thing we (white guys) can count on it's that a Trump presidency will make things better for all of us. There will be fewer Mexicans (wall); fewer Muslims (closing mosques, no refugees, general intolerance); fewer weak men with feelings (everything will be SO strong); and fewer women and minorities in the workplace thanks to political correctness being outlawed and everyone who's not a white guy wanting to move to Canada rather than deal with all the loud-mouthed white guys.

And why is it good to have fewer of all these people? Because we (white guys) all know that every out-of-work white guy is a victim of "others." It could be the fault of the president who happens to be black. Or it could be the Mexicans pouring across our Swiss-cheese border, as long as you ignore the fact that, according to a recent Pew Research Center study, there are more Mexicans leaving the United States than entering.

It's definitely not the fault of globalization and America's change to a more knowledge-based economy. It's the fault of us believing the politically correct myth that it's the fault of globalization and America's change to a more knowledge-based economy.

Trump will erase that myth and return all the high-paying manufacturing jobs by destroying political correctness, which is what's forcing us white guys to tolerate all these other people who have made white-guy America less great.

Consider what Rush Limbaugh said on his show last week: "Trump's speaking in ways that men today still speak, when they're not hounded by the modern eclipse of feminism and its supporters. Men speak this way to each other. They crack jokes this way to each other. It does not make them bad people. And I think there's a yearning for it among a whole segment of the population, women, men, they want this kind of gruff, fearless, tell-it-like-it-is persona."

Who among us — aside from women, blacks, Latinos, Asians, Muslims, gay men, lesbians, people with disabilities and people with a shred of human decency — isn't yearning to hear gruff men make racist jokes while slapping female co-workers on their butts?

Limbaugh continued to describe the ills of political correctness: "All kinds of horrible, rotten things happened, with just the advent of the modern era of feminism. And with all of these things like feminism and the other things that came along with it, political correctness was attached — and that was censorship. People had to shut up. They had to stop thinking the way they think. They certainly couldn't speak the way they could before, and all this is like a Champagne cork popping after years and years and years of being shaken up with all kinds of pressure building and no outlet for it. There is more anger and frustration subdued, contained over what the left has done to this country, to this culture, to our society, and it's just blowing."

I should be cork-poppingly angry! WHY DIDN'T ANYBODY TELL ME?!?!
Conservative radio host Michael Savage laid it out clearly in the very first words of his show last Wednesday: "We're fighting for our survival, of course."
Of course.

He continued: "Donald Trump represents the standard-bearer of America's future if we win. And I want you to think about who hates him and why they hate him, just think about this carefully. The deviants, the perverts, the intellectual haters of America, the losers who are jealous of anyone who has succeeded."

Damn deviant, perverted, intellectual success haters. They know nothing of the patriotism of off-color jokes and misogyny, or of the greatness America can again achieve if only we elect a loud white man who doesn't care how much he offends people who aren't loud white men.
I'm white. I'm a man. And I can be loud.

It's clearly time for me to uncork my anger and hop on the Trump train.

Boo!

So I am watching this cable news show this morning (the one with the host who allegedly lost an intern under very Chappaquiddick like circumstances) and they were going on and on about

how America has become afraid of Isis and terrorism.

 Make no mistake, the press has been complicit in spreading this narrative, because nothing says money like ratings, and nothing says ratings like sensationalized news stories that make us fearful.  

Of course the aforementioned host was blaming the president. "He is too cool. Americans want action, they want true leadership." Harold Ford, still upset that he didn't become Obama before Obama came along, actually said that we should bring back the NSA surveillance program that spied on American citizens. And the beat goes on. Some folks want to bring back torture, some want boots on the ground, and some, like a certain presidential candidate, would ban those of the Muslim faith from our country all together.

This fear, of course, is reflected in all the latest polls, and in the behavior of Americans who are rushing to gun shops in droves.  Donald trump would like to thank you all, because without your fear and panic he would not be leading the field of republican presidential candidates. I mean just look at him, if anyone can stare down those evil Isis dudes in black, it's Donald.

All of this fear and angst is nothing new to black folks in certain parts of America. I guarantee you that the last thing some poor mother in the hood is thinking about is Isis blowing up her neighborhood while she is waiting in line at the grocery store. Real terror for these poor folks is not having enough money to buy food, or getting put out on the street with their child because they can't afford to pay the rent. At that moment their landlord is Isis.

Sadly, terror is nothing new to us; we live  with terror every day. We worry about getting shot by the police, getting shot by some young buck who thinks that life is a rap video, and just being beaten down every day by the terror that is institutional racism.

What Washington should learn from South Carolina.

I think it's amazing how some folks in America approach racism. (No, I am not talking about that new MTV doc where white folks talk about race. We will  talk more about that later.)

Take for instance the republicans in Washington. On a day when lawmakers in South Carolina decided that it was time for that symbol of racism to come off of their state grounds, the clowns in Washington are actually debating whether it is appropriate to remove that very same flag from National Park Service run cemeteries and federal lands.

“We all witnessed the people of Charleston and the people of South Carolina come together in a respectful way to deal with, frankly, what was a very horrific crime and a difficult issue about the Confederate flag,” Boehner told reporters Thursday morning. “I actually think it’s time for some adults here in the Congress to actually sit down and have a conversation about how to address this issue.”

 

The Ohio Republican confirmed the cancelation of a planned vote that would’ve reversed amendments successfully added by House Democrats this week that would ban the use of federal funds for displaying the Confederate flag on federal land.

 

“That bill is going to sit in abeyance until we come to some resolution,” Boehner said."

 

"Difficult issue"? Just WTF is so difficult about it? If congressional republicans really want to act like "adults" they will stop playing political games to appease that part of their base that is stuck in the fifties and refuse to join the rest of us in the 21st Century.

 

“What exactly is the tradition of the Confederate battle flag that we’re supporting?” Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, a Democrat from New York, asked shortly before Boehner’s announcement. “Is it slavery, rape, kidnap, treason, genocide, or all of the above?”

"Divider- in- Chief"?

I love how all these pundits and pollsters are declaring that race relations are worse than they have ever been in America under Barack Obama.




As if Barack Obama got in the White House and declared that it's open season on whitey.


White folks like to call Obama a divider, but it's hard to divide what has already been split into little pieces.




I suspect that race relations (publicly) might have gotten worse under Barack Obama because angry "color aroused" white people couldn't hold in their racism any longer. And, truth be told, clueless black people thought that having one of their own in the White House would suddenly make racists view them in a different light.




White people who voted for Barack Obama out of some sense of racial absolution for past sins are disappointed that he did not deliver. He did not make them feel any different because racism has actually gotten worse. A stark and sad reminder to them that the shadow of ignorance and bigotry that has long hovered over their beloved country is not going anywhere anytime soon.




Barack Obama, this highly educated and "articulate" politician, was, in the words of Katt Williams, "Nigger light". Finally, a black man white folks could trust with the keys and wrap their arms around.




At least this is what they thought. Unfortunately there were too many white folks who could only see that a black man was driving, and they did not want to be in the back seat.  It is why early on in his presidency you had the opposition party declaring that they were dedicated to making sure that his presidency failed.




So yes, America's racial wounds were reopened with the election of Barack Obama. But the Band- Aid that was covering it was not really healing anything; it was just covering it up.  Barack Obama becoming president just forced us to tear it off. Sadly, what we are seeing now is not pretty.

I didn't need some "Africana studies" professor from one of America's finer schools to tell me that. That's what my eyes are for.

This culture warrior is a convicted felon.

There is a certain amount of irony that goes along with a man who makes a film about the beauty of America being a convicted felon.


I would love America too if I could steal money and make a movie about conservative values and be a hero to the folks who espouse said values.


This fascinating paradox is brought to you by one Dinesh D'Souza. You remember him, right? He is the guy who made a hit movie among conservatives which questioned the president's patriotism and his legitimacy.


Now he wants to make another one.

"Dinesh D’Souza, the conservative filmmaker and activist who recently plead guilty to campaign finance fraud charges, plans to premiere a 10-minute clip from his new film, titled simply America, during his appearance Saturday night at the 2014 Republican Leadership Conference. But before then, he released the two-minute teaser below, which shows D’Souza “soaring over America” in a helicopter as inspirational music plays in the background.


The new film, accompanied by a book of same name, is a follow-up to his 2012 documentary, 2016: Obama’s America, which became a surprise hit among conservative audiences. America, which will be released widely on July 2, takes a broader view than the previous anti-Obama film, focusing on his belief that the “notion of the essential goodness of America is under attack.”


D’Souza released the teaser clip to The Hollywood Reporter Saturday afternoon, saying he wanted to produce the film because currently “the left is winning the cultural war.”


“Republicans treat politics as a hobby while the left engages more in academia, culture and the media,” D’Souza continued. “Conservatives have been politically outmatched because they’re not fighting on their natural battlefield."


"Their natural battlefield". That would be anywhere where there are a lot of very white people, big bibles, and even bigger guns. Sounds like a real hoot.


Anyway, Dinesh has always been somewhat of a dick.


Outing your Gay classmates at a time when society viewed Gays in a totally different way is not cool.  


What would be kind of cool is if one of those old classmates was in the US Attorney's office that prosecuted him.

Yo Dinesh, I think you all are losing the "cultural wars" because conservatives are such assholes.

The field is ready

for this national conversation on race. This is all I have been hearing since the latest little racial dust up in our little slice of heaven on earth called America. "We need to be talking to each other. Maybe this Imus thing will be good for all of us in the long run because it will start a national conversation on matters of race."

OK fair enough. So I headed to a very white part of Philly, where I will see lots and lots of white people... alright you got me; there is nowhere in Philly with lots and lots of white people. Instead, I will head to upstate Pennsylvania, where I know all I will see is white people. After about an hours drive up the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I see what I was looking for, a large gathering of "normal" looking white people. I think we are in a mall or something. Hey, white people love malls, what can I tell you.
