It's the R word, stupid.

Image result for racist trump supporters images"It’s all over but the crying, which will also be fun to watch, but even after all these many months of Donald Trump vanquishing foe after foe, the media still doesn’t get it. They still bang on about this anger at “the establishment,” and as a result, they are giving Hillary Clinton bad advice already. During CNN’s coverage of the Indiana primary Tuesday night, liberal commentator and Bernie Sanders supporter Van Jones became just the latest pundit to misdiagnose the Trump phenomenon, and connect it to Bernie Sanders. There is a similarity, but not the one Jones identifies:

The same rebellion is happening in the country in both parties. The reason Hillary is still fighting is the reason that Trump won. There is a big, big discontent in this country and tonight for Bernie Sanders and we can say the same thing about Bernie, he shouldn’t be here either. I just don’t think that people get it yet. You got people sitting on a white hot stove in their houses right now and they are mad… I do think (Hillary) has got to, tonight, show that she’s got the message from both parties, the message from the Republicans, they’re mad and hurting, the message from the Democrats, they’re mad and hurting.
Jones is so close to being right, he even calls the anger “white hot,” but he just misses the absolutely crucial key to Hillary Clinton’s eventual defeat of Trump.

Since this race began, I have been predicting Trump’s victory. Just hours after he delivered his Mexican Rapists announcement speech, I predicted he would rocket to the top of the polls and stay there, and in my very first Mediaite column in over a year, predicted Trump’s victory in the 17-candidate field to a tee. I say this not just to brag (although I am doing that), but to try and get my media colleagues to understand that they need to listen to why Trump is winning, they need to stop ignoring it.

But first, allow me to rebut their ongoing theory of the case which is that this is all just a rebellion against “establishment politics” and “anger at Washington.” That argument held some water against dynastic sleepwalker Jeb Bush or Gang of Eight-er Marco Rubio, but most of the other candidates were not part of the establishment. But the greatest proof against this theory was demonstrated Tuesday night:

Ted Cruz, whatever else you think of him, is the most anti-establishment figure there is, and he was standing onstage with a high-powered, wealthy CEO who has never held public office, yet Trump managed to beat them all.

The reason is crystal clear, and always has been: it’s the racism, stupid. More broadly, though, it’s the racism’s kissin’ cousin, white male resentment, which isn’t just for white males. Trump has been forgiven every possible deviation from conservative orthodoxy and simple human decency because he has remained rock-steady about fighting the dirty Mexicans, the evil Muslims, and the uppity criminal blacks and their liberal allies. In his desperation, Ted Cruz actually managed to pick the only kind of hate that doesn’t sell so well anymore.

Van is onto something about Bernie Sanders, though it isn’t some general anger at Washington, either. Sanders’ largely white liberal support comes from a different strain of white resentment, a more patronizing one. While they all pay lip service to having the “right” positions on black issues, their overarching theory is that what’s good for everyone is especially good for black people, and if they’d only listen, they would get that. This is essentially what Bernie said at the beginning of his campaign, and what his campaign is still saying now. Yes, he was pressured into rolling out a racial justice platform, but even in that document, pivoted to his broader economic policies. Ask him today what needs to be done first, and his answer will be to overturn Citizens United and end economic inequality. "[Read more]

This author nails my sentiments about the current political season.

Pundits and those in the chattering class like to dance around the real reason for the rise of Donald, but no matter how they try they can't escape the reality. Just look at the majority of his supporters and listen to what they are saying.

And look, I get it. Angry working class whites who feel that they are entitled to god jobs and a Ozzie &  Harriet existence in America, cannot understand why they are losing everything, and Donald trump, with his Make America White Great Again brand, could not have come at a better time.

Don't forget your ropes: Just in case the nig...president comes out.

I wanted to blog about 09-11-01 today and the horrors that we always associate with that day, but I can't. I just don't have the stomach for it. Besides, what else can be said that has not already been discussed dissected and pondered by all of us?

Tonight, instead, I want to blog about a few people in A-merry-ca who are carrying us down a road that will ultimately lead us to a place in this country where what happened on 9-11-01 will pale in comparison.

Tomorrow, those people are planning a march on Washington. They are a part of Glenn Beck's 09-12 movement (his name not mine) and an assortment of conservatives-including the"tea baggers"- and self described angry citizens who want to take back A-merry-ca. (I sure hope they storm the BET studios, they would be doing us all a favor.)"The Million Mob March" as some are calling it will be a loud call to the black man inside the people's house to give us our country back, and to take his black ass back to Chicago with his militant A-merry-ca hating wife. Joe Wilson calling him out days before the big march was right on time.

It should be interesting. If only people on the left had such passion. I wonder if there will be counter protesters? I swear, there is nothing like a black man in the people's house to fire up the masses and get them organized. They are calling it an "uprising". A "conservative counter revolution". I wonder when our revolution against the conservative revolution is going to start? Or do we even need a revolution because our boy is in the White House? I think we need a revolution because our boy isn't even really our boy. He is still trying to be president for all A-merry-cans, including the people who are revolting against him. Man this revolution shit sure is confusing.

But I will give the conservative revolutionaries credit. Lately they have have stepped up their attacks. They scalped Van Jones, and went under- cover to expose the ACORN folks. The three pronged attack of Drudge, Beck, and Brietbart have been working overtime. (BTW, unlike Keith Olbermann, who made the call and then backed away from it. Let me say this right here and now for the record: If anyone has any dirt on any of these guys, please shoot the field an e-mail. I will be glad to blog about it. I am not a journalist, so please don't expect me to care of it's accurate or not.)

And finally, a little PSA from the field [taken from a wingnut web site] for those of you who will be marching to take back A-merry-ca tomorrow:

"The day is expected to be HOT (82), HUMID (66%) and BRIGHT (UV index 7) Bring SMALL plant spray bottles with water to cool off DO NOT BRING WATER PISTOLS OR ANYTHING LIKE IT (remember where you are) Bring extra water Wear loose clothes and a hat or have something to cover your head from the sun (I have [...] "

Yes you always have to be careful of the sun. You don't want to end up looking like the guy who is in your house.

Another bogeyman.

*
Glenn Beck was crying today on his radio program. He was begging anyone with an ounce of patriotism to "act" and "get involved" for their country. The Communist, he said, have infiltrated our borders and they are going to eat our women and children. Well, he didn't go quite that far....or, wait, maybe he did.

This man is absolutely certifiable. And you know what's even crazier? One in every one hundred A-merry-cans have been watching this fruit cake every night on Television Rwanda (AKA FOX News) Beck has become the cynosure for the anti black anti Obama sentiment in this country. The thing is, I still can't figure out if he is serious or not. I heard him on the radio today and he sure sounded serious. (The man was crying for crying out loud!) On and on he went about Van Jones, a "devout Communist" (or so says Beck) who has declared his allegiance to Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez. "He is the founder of a communist group who denounced America after 911" he said, and then he released an explosive audio tape (his words) of Jones passionately speaking about taking back America from those people. " Who does that sound like?" He kept saying. "Does one Jeremiah Wright come to mind when you hear Jones?" Now folks, I have to tell you, if this is the same Van Jones that I know, nothing could be farther from the truth. But I am sure Beck and his congregation will not let the facts get in the way of their fantasy. Quotes like the following have them all damp around the crotch area:

“We upheld the Marxist critique of capitalist exploitation. We agree with Lenin’s analysis of the state and the party. And we found inspiration and guidance in the insurgent revolutionary strategies developed by third world revolutionaries like Mao Tse-Tung and Amilcar Cabral.”

Yeah....OK....and?

"We cannot let these people get away with this", he kept saying. "We owe it to our children and our grandchildren to fight for the country we believe in." Wow! And you know what's scary about this? Somewhere in middle A-merry-ca there is another Timothy McVeigh listening to this shit and being inspired to plot his next assault on all those who are Un-American.

This, of course, is all bullshit. I wonder if it ever occurred to Mr. Beck and his wingnut friends that the Tiger Woods president with the Muslim sounding name was democratically elected by the people of these divided states? I mean I don't know about you folks reading this, but that doesn't seem too much like communism to me.

But I get the strategy: Attach Jones to Obama, find another black bogeyman, and scare the heck out of middle A-merry-ca. Right now Van Jones is the flavor of the month. Beck will find more. - I guarantee you that they will all look the same.-

What's sad about all this is that there are perfectly legitimate things that Beck and those of his ilk could be debating with Obama about. Health care, the war, immigration, and a slew of other programs and policies that have been implemented since his he took office. Instead, we are left with this: Propaganda, fear mongering, and lies. All the while Beck's ratings continue to go through the roof. And why? Because he is telling some of our fellow A-merry-cans just what they want to hear.

A proper sendoff and a clown.

*
I must confess that I am not into funerals. I don't like the fact that you can't be honest about the life that someone lived just because they are now dead. Besides, I don't like the finality and the sense of the inevitable that comes with such occasions. When the day comes that the wheels come off this ride of life that I have been on, Mrs. Field has been instructed to burn what will be left of my body and sprinkle the ashes off the coast of Falmouth, Jamaica, the town where I was born. Since I am not particularly religious I will leave that part up to her.

Having said that, Ted Kennedy had a wonderful sendoff. Obama's eulogy was on point, and his -Kennedy's-sons gave sincere and heartfelt goodbyes. His wife's grief was genuine and seeing all those former presidents just added to the moment. Yep, that was certainly a memorable moment in A-mery-ca's history.

I hate to put the two in the same blog post, but I can't let today go by without commenting on a disturbing link that my friend, Sharon from Wisconsin, sent me from the New Republic. It involves our old friend, Jesse L. Peterson, and I am so embarrassed and repulsed by this negro (No caps in Negro when referring to him) that I am seriously considering dedicating some funds and time to have a study done on him. (I am serious) I am sure that there is a psychiatric professional who studies the type of behavior that this man exhibits. This level of self- hatred and reprobation is beyond "Stockholm Syndrome", it is a sickness that knows no words.

"Black Group Comes Out In Support Of Glenn Beck.

BOND Action, Inc., a national cultural action organization, has come out in support of FOX News Channel broadcaster Glenn Beck. Beck has been under attack from the radical left-wing group ColorOfChange.org after he said last month that he believes President Obama is “a racist.”

ColorOfChangeorg was founded by Van Jones; a self-described “rowdy black nationalist.” Jones now serves as White House environmental advisor (“green jobs czar”). So far advertisers including Geico, Ally Bank, and Sargento Cheese have been intimidated into pulling ads off The Glenn Beck Show. “BOND Action, Inc., will be working to expose the source behind the boycott and counter it,” said Founder and President, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson.

“Glenn Beck is right, Obama is a racist! ” added Rev. Peterson. “Where were the boycotts and outraged activists when President George W. Bush was being falsely maligned as a ‘racist’? This is a blatant double standard. This boycott is an attempt to silence Beck from continuing his expose’ of Barack Obama’s socialist agenda and his radical ‘green jobs czar’ Van Jones.” ColorOfChange.org claims some 33 advertisers have pulled their ads off The Glenn Beck Show, but that number is reportedly exaggerated. ColorOfChange.org has a checkered past. The group reportedly endorsed outrageous statements by rapper Kanye West that former President Bush gave troops permission to go to New Orleans and shoot black people during Hurricane Katrina. Beck’s television program draws more than 2 million viewers and BOND Action, Inc., is calling on advertisers not to cave in to pressure.

Rev. Peterson said, “ColorOfChange.org claims that it exists to ‘strengthen Black America’s political voice’—but it’s clear that they are a left-wing, racist political group that deal in lies. This attempt to silence Beck is an attack on free speech and must be countered.”
BOND Action, Inc. is a 501 (c) (4) cultural action organization, which exists to educate motivate and rally Americans to greater involvement in the moral, cultural and political issues that threaten our great country. Contributions to BOND Action, Inc. are NOT tax-deductible, but are confidential. For more information call (877) WE-ACT-77 (932-2877) or visit

Thank you Rev. [and New Republic] for giving us a number and an e-mail address so that we can reach your sorry ass.

A face only a mama and wingnuts could love.

I have to give props to the crew over at Color Of Change for taking on Glen Beck, (You know him don't you? He is the former drug addict and certifiable crazy person -his mother killed herself because she suffered from schizophrenia-) and the folks at FOX News. So far they have gotten over thirty advertisers to withdraw their ads from Beck's show. Of course that's kind of easy for these companies to justify doing when the guy is calling the president of these divided states "a racist".

But now, of course, Beck is fighting back. And he is doing it by going after Van Jones, who was with Color Of Change a couple years ago, but now has a prominent position with the Obama administration. Forget the fact that Jones has not been with Color Of Change for a couple of years, and that he currently has absolutely nothing to do with the organization.

This is from the LA Times: "During a six-minute biographical profile, set to ominous music, Beck said Jones was twice arrested for political protests and has described himself as a "rowdy black nationalist." The talk show host cast the piece as part of a broader examination of Obama's "czars," special advisers to the president who "don't answer to anybody.""Why is it that such a committed revolutionary has made it so high into the Obama administration as one of his chief advisers?"

“Glenn Beck is trying to change the subject,” said James Rucker, executive director of Color of Change, who noted that Jones has not been active with the group in almost two years. “The issue is his baseless fear mongering.”

Now I have to give a disclaimer here: I have absolutely no problem with the incivility of political discourse as it now stands here in A-merry-ca. When it comes to politics, I am not a very civil person. But I respect those who are, and who fight their battles by quietly organizing. Which brings me to the Color Of Change people.

I have met Gabriel Goodlatte (A dead ringer for Vince from "Entourage") and James Rucker a couple of times, and they seem to be classy hard working individuals, who have mobilized thousands of people with their hard work and online activism. This latest boycott against the people who advertise with Beck is an example of what can happen when people organize around a common cause and goal. The fact that Beck and his minions are fighting back means that it is having an effect.

Glen Beck is going to get his millions of viewers every night. He will continue to see black helicopters and stoke up fear among the...ahem ahem, less educated citizens among us about the black bogeyman living on Pennsylvania Avenue. But that doesn't mean that the rest of us can't flex our collective muscles as well. As long as there is a cultural and social divide in this country we might as well pick our sides and dig in for a long hard battle. Personally, I welcome it. I love the smell of charred red necks in the morning. I hate Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, and the rest of the right wing hate merchants who push inflammatory rhetoric, like I do cancer. Actually, I hate them more. At least, with cancer, damn near everyone can agree that it is a terrible thing to be afflicted with. Sadly, the idiots who embrace these phonies, never realize that they are sick.
