April does not like Negroes, and more madness in America.

Rain. Rain. Rain. I feel like I am living in my sister's hometown of Seattle and not Philadelphia.

Anyway, tonight my racism chase takes me to Dallas, Texas.

It seems that a poor 911 operator in Big D is so sick and tired of you Negroes that she risked her job and went on Facebook to rant about having to live in a country with all of you Negroes.

“Black people are outrageous! They are more like animals, they never know how to act, just loud [expletive] Always causing problems,” stated one of numerous incendiary Facebook messages posted under her name.

The posts were visible only to Sims’ Facebook friends, but photos of them were provided to local news station WFAA.

“I can count on 1 hand the black people I know who don’t have [expletive] for brains!!!” one post stated.
“I can count on 1 hand the black people I know who don’t have [expletive] for brains!!!” one of Sims' posts stated.

April Sims via Facebook

“I can count on 1 hand the black people I know who don’t have [expletive] for brains!!!” one of Sims' posts stated.

Sims’ Facebook tirade against blacks seemed to have been motivated by her time on the job as a 911 operator, which began in November.

“I’m a very easygoing person and I will give the shirt off my back to help others,” Sims wrote in another message, “but when call after call are black people fighting and screaming and hitting each other and they want to yell at me and treat me like [expletive] when I’m trying to help, is not cool.”

When asked by another Facebook member what she thought Dallas Police Chief David Brown would make of her statements, Sims was defiant.

“I stand by every word I said,” Sims wrote. “And do not apologize.” [Source]

Finally, a racist that I can respect. At least April stood by her racism.

Unfortunately for April.....

"The Dallas Police Department announced it had fired April Sims, 23, for violating its social media policy."

Sorry April, we can't have you blowing off a 911 call because it's two N*****s on the other end of the line.

BREAKING NEWS!!

Six dead at Santa Monica College after mass shooting.

"According to unconfirmed reports, the shootings began during a domestic dispute at a home on the 2500 block of Kansas St. Neighbors described hearing multiple gunshots coming from a home that was engulfed in flames.

Everyone threw themselves on the floor, screams,” student Marta Fagerstroem, who was on the bus, told NBC4. “The bus driver, she panicked. She couldn’t drive away. She was able to, after a while.”

The college was quickly put on lockdown, and a suspect was engaged at the school library." [Source]

Watching CNN and it looks like it was a domestic situation gone bad.

Oh well, I am pretty sure that NSA tracking our cell phone records and computers could not have stopped this one.

I will protect massa's house at all costs!

Another day in A-merry-ca and the hate filled, right wing, jingoistic mobs are in rare form. (Is that a black person I see in the middle of that pic? Yep, it sure looks like it. I swear, you Negroes and this house called A-merry-ca. Don't worry, your black ass will be next. ) They were out over the weekend at Ground Zero to make their feelings known. And, as we get closer to election day here in A-merry-ca, I suspect that we will see more not less of them.

Where is George Bush when you need him? Wasn't it old George after 9/11 calling for tolerance and peace? That seemed like such a long time ago. That was before we got the brown guy with the Muslim sounding name occupying the people's house. I bet W wouldn't recognize his party now. They have party officials saying that the brown guy is a Muslim and party leaders saying that they will take him at his word. Huh? "Take him at his word"? OK, Mitch, I will take you at your word that you aren't a racist prick from Kentucky. See how that works?

"It is a disturbing discussion. The tone is ugly; the charges are vicious. And no Christian, Jew, or other religious person can feel safe if angry mobs -- even if only virtual -- are able to stop the activities of an unpopular faith.

There is no legal barrier to building the mosque and Muslim community center, called Cordoba House, in New York City. If the First Amendment means anything, the government cannot single out a particular religion for constructing a worship facility. The Free Exercise Clause would mean little if politicians could willy-nilly close down mosques -- or churches, synagogues, temples, and other religious sites.

Any attempt to block Cordoba House also would run into the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act. Passed by voice vote in the Republican Congress of 2000, the law targets state and local governments attempting to inhibit religious exercise through land use regulation. Senate sponsor Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) explained: "At the core of religious freedom is the ability for assemblies to gather and worship together."

That was well written Mr. Bandow, and it was riddled with facts. But unfortunately we are talking about religion here; something, that along with race, always stirs the passions and brings out the most deep-seated fears in even the most seemingly sane person in A-merry-ca.

If you think I am lying, watch what happens on the anniversary of Dr. King's "I Have A Dream" speech in Washington D.C., this weekend. Glenn Beck will be there for a political/love the white race rally, (something he has every right to do) and just look in the faces of those people who will be there. Don't worry, if they look familiar it's because you have seen them before.

Don't forget your ropes: Just in case the nig...president comes out.

I wanted to blog about 09-11-01 today and the horrors that we always associate with that day, but I can't. I just don't have the stomach for it. Besides, what else can be said that has not already been discussed dissected and pondered by all of us?

Tonight, instead, I want to blog about a few people in A-merry-ca who are carrying us down a road that will ultimately lead us to a place in this country where what happened on 9-11-01 will pale in comparison.

Tomorrow, those people are planning a march on Washington. They are a part of Glenn Beck's 09-12 movement (his name not mine) and an assortment of conservatives-including the"tea baggers"- and self described angry citizens who want to take back A-merry-ca. (I sure hope they storm the BET studios, they would be doing us all a favor.)"The Million Mob March" as some are calling it will be a loud call to the black man inside the people's house to give us our country back, and to take his black ass back to Chicago with his militant A-merry-ca hating wife. Joe Wilson calling him out days before the big march was right on time.

It should be interesting. If only people on the left had such passion. I wonder if there will be counter protesters? I swear, there is nothing like a black man in the people's house to fire up the masses and get them organized. They are calling it an "uprising". A "conservative counter revolution". I wonder when our revolution against the conservative revolution is going to start? Or do we even need a revolution because our boy is in the White House? I think we need a revolution because our boy isn't even really our boy. He is still trying to be president for all A-merry-cans, including the people who are revolting against him. Man this revolution shit sure is confusing.

But I will give the conservative revolutionaries credit. Lately they have have stepped up their attacks. They scalped Van Jones, and went under- cover to expose the ACORN folks. The three pronged attack of Drudge, Beck, and Brietbart have been working overtime. (BTW, unlike Keith Olbermann, who made the call and then backed away from it. Let me say this right here and now for the record: If anyone has any dirt on any of these guys, please shoot the field an e-mail. I will be glad to blog about it. I am not a journalist, so please don't expect me to care of it's accurate or not.)

And finally, a little PSA from the field [taken from a wingnut web site] for those of you who will be marching to take back A-merry-ca tomorrow:

"The day is expected to be HOT (82), HUMID (66%) and BRIGHT (UV index 7) Bring SMALL plant spray bottles with water to cool off DO NOT BRING WATER PISTOLS OR ANYTHING LIKE IT (remember where you are) Bring extra water Wear loose clothes and a hat or have something to cover your head from the sun (I have [...] "

Yes you always have to be careful of the sun. You don't want to end up looking like the guy who is in your house.

Callling Dr. Ruth.

Tonight's post is all about bad relationships. One story is from right here in my area, and the other one comes from far away Detroit.

Let me start with the Detroit story because this one takes the cake. (Or should I say the car)

When I hear sisters lamenting about the shortage of good black men, I feel their pain, I really do.

And you honestly can't blame a sister sometimes for looking past certain bad traits in their men if the good ones far outweigh the bad ones. But there are certain things that one should not ignore in a relationship no matter what. Like when, for instance, your man steals your car on your first date. That shit is just not cool. I mean the woman was nice enough to go date night in her whip and you steal it?

"FERNDALE, Mich. - Police in Michigan say a first date went from bad to worse when a Detroit man skipped out on the restaurant bill, then stole his date's car.
Police say 23-year-old Terrance Dejuan McCoy had dinner with a woman April 24 at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Detroit suburb of Ferndale. The woman says the two met a week earlier at a Detroit casino and she knew McCoy only as "Chris."

The woman told police that McCoy said he left his wallet in her car and asked for keys. He then sped away in the 2000 Chevrolet Impala.

The Daily Tribune of Royal Oak reports that police identified McCoy by a photo he'd sent to the woman's cell phone, and his phone number. McCoy is charged with unlawfully taking the car, a five-year felony. He waived a preliminary exam and was bound over for trial Thursday. "

What the hell is wrong with these brothas in Motown? Not only does he stiff her with the bill, --That's what you get for going to "Buffalo Wild Wings" on your first date-- but when girlfriend went outside her car was gone. That is some gangsta shit. (Oh field how do you know it's a brotha? They didn't show his picture. Stop it!) Anywhooo, that shit was fowl, but it's not always the men who behave badly.

Take this case, for instance. This brotha went Jack Johnson on us, but the results are no different: Another bad relationship. (Field how do you know it's an interracial relationship? They didn't show his par amour's picture. Stop it!) This brotha, like the one in Detroit, ended up in jail, but in his case it seems his milk might be clean.

"NEVER imagined my duties at the Daily News would include providing couples' counseling.
But there I was, on a three-way phone call this week with Maureen Picozzi, who lives in Wissinoming Park, and Tyrone Jeffreys, who's locked up at the city's House of Corrections.
I'd received a letter from Jeffreys, 29, asking for help.

In May, Picozzi, 27, told cops that Jeffreys - her ex-boyfriend and father of her child - had broken into her house, screamed at her, then taken her keys and car without permission. Police arrested Jeffreys, who has been incarcerated ever since, unable to post 10 percent of his $50,000 bail.

The thing is, Picozzi now says her story isn't true. She told me that she'd lent Jeffreys her Ford Crown Victoria, so he could look for work. When he returned it, they got into one of their huge arguments. Exasperated, she said she concocted her story to get Jeffreys "out of my hair."
This isn't the first time, Picozzi told me, that she called the cops on Jeffreys, on pretenses that "weren't always true."

A few years ago, Picozzi said, she accused him of rape. He got locked up. The charges were dropped. They reconciled.

Another time, she told me, she said Jeffreys had assaulted her. He got locked up. The charges were dropped. They reconciled.

And in January, she got a restraining order against Jeffreys - but kept in touch with him anyway.

"I said he abused me," said Picozzi, who's between jobs right now. "I was sick of him coming around whenever he wanted."

Both of them figure that, in the last six years or so, Picozzi has called 9-1-1 "maybe 10 times" to report crimes by Jeffreys - "some happened, some didn't," she said."

Hey, I know; maybe Dejuan's date and Tyrone could hook up. I am just saying.

Give him a record deal.

I see Osama bin Laden just made another audio recording. (His 60th broadcast to the world since 911) I swear the guy has more recordings than Akon.

But once again A-merry-cans are reminded that the guy who brought mass murder and mayhem to our country is still alive and kicking in a cave somewhere. The frat boy started two wars and put millions of dollars on his head and it didn't mean squat. Two months after leaving the people's house, and the man in the cave is still mocking him. Looks like the bearded one got the last laugh. For seven years he eluded the Bush crew and he will probably outlive most of the neocons who came up with the foolhardy scheme to capture him.

I don't have a fairy god mother, but if I did, I would ask her to grant me a few wishes. One of them (besides the obvious red light special with Lark of course) would be to have our Special Forces capture the scum bag (dead or alive) on the O man's watch. I would give anything to see a press conference with the O man declaring to the nation that we got him, while pictures of the capture are split screened on our television sets. Of course, it would hardly get a mention over at FAKE NEWS, and they would give all the credit for his capture to the previous administration. Thanks to the hard work of former President Bush, Osama bin Laden was captured today....

But watching the wingnuts try to explain why it took their leader seven years with no luck and his O ness did it soon after taking office would be priceless.

I only hope that if and when the O man's administration does capture the bearded one we will get the hell out of Afghanistan. No good can come from fighting with the Afghans. (Just ask the Russians) Fighting to them is like eating apple pies to us. It's what they do. And they enjoy that shit. Our only reason for being there is to capture Osama, so if we get him, let's air-lift everyone who wants out and roll. The Taliban can have that god forsaken place all to themselves.

"It has been clear that some Arab leaders were complicit with the Zionists against our people..."

Yea yeah yeah. Apparently they weren't complicit enough, because your ass is still free, and still making records.

I feel safer already.

“the ultimate threat to the country” is “a 9/11-type event where the terrorists are armed with something much more dangerous than an airline ticket and a box cutter – a nuclear weapon or a biological agent of some kind” that is deployed in the middle of an American city. That’s the one that would involve the deaths of perhaps hundreds of thousands of people, and the one you have to spend a hell of a lot of time guarding against...I think there’s a high probability of such an attempt. Whether or not they can pull it off depends whether or not we keep in place policies that have allowed us to defeat all further attempts, since 9/11, to launch mass-casualty attacks against the United States.”

The first part of that quote from the evil one sounds a lot like wishful thinking to me. Oh come on field, are you trying to say that the former VP of these divided states of A-merry-ca wishes a major terrorist attack could come to our land and kill our fellow citizens just to make the new president look bad? Yep. And not to mention, to validate the despicable abuse of our constitution that took place when he was in power.

Unlike the frat boy Cheney hasn't shut up since he left office. He has been taking on his O ness from day one, and screaming like a baby who lost his favorite toy at the Obama administration for doing away with some of the frat boy's policies as it relates to "the war on terror".

"When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an Al Qaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States against people who are absolutely committed to do anything they can to kill Americans, then I worry..”

Dick, you need to worry, because thanks to the actions of your administration there are more of those people "committed" to killing us.

Don't fool yourselves folks, *Cheney[*thanks for the spell check woozie] is praying for an attack. And I suspect that he is not alone. An attack on us now would send the far right into multiple orgasms because it would magnify what in their eyes is one of the few things that the frat boy did right, keep us safe. If I hear that we were never attacked again after 911 thanks to the vigilant frat boy and his minions, I will slap the son of a bitch that says it myself. That is a false argument. We haven't been attacked because the Saudi with the NBA height who happens to be chilling in a cave these days only planned one attack. But let's ask ourselves: whose watch did 911 happen on? If you said the frat boys move to the head of the class. Yes frat boy, you fell asleep at the wheel, so if you were being extra vigilant in trying to protect us it's because you messed up and got some of us killed in the first place.

I know one thing, it doesn't matter who is in office. If Al Qaeda could get a couple of suicide bombers to cooperate, O man or no O man, those bad boys would be going off at a crowded venue near you. So let's continue to hope that we remain safe and protected from the forces of evil. (Not Che-y-ney, we are never safe from him) And let's hope that Hillary and his O ness can do something positive with our foreign policy and create friends instead of enemies around the world.

It's like it happened yesterday.

Like most of you I remember exactly where I was that day, and what I was doing. I was at a child support conference in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and I was looking forward to playing hooky from the days events and playing a round of golf (yes this field Negro plays golf) with some colleagues. I don't know, maybe it's because of the events of that day, but weatherise, It was probably the most beautiful and perfect day that I can ever remember. And when those planes started hitting those buildings, right before our very eyes, live and in living color; everyone freaked the fuck out. I don't think too many of us can forget the images of the people jumping from buildings, the brave first responders, and the sheer panic and misery on the faces of those people who were right around ground zero.

I remember thinking: These sick mofos must really hate us. Some of the people around me couldn't even fathom it. "How can anyone hate us so much?" They asked. "Where did all this evil come from?" They pleaded to no one in particular. As I watched the events unfold from that Hotel lobby,, I felt like I knew. Unlike most of the people around me, I had traveled the world, I had lived and spent time outside of the United States, and I knew that a lot of people out there really really hated us. But I never knew this was how they would strike? I had to give it to them; it worked.

Now it couldn't have worked without real commitment and devotion. After all, you had to have been willing to sacrifice your life to complete the mission. And I guess the promise of seventy two virgins in paradise was enough to make these sick fanatics take the lives of over 3,000 of our fellow citizens.

Total strangers came up and hugged me, total strangers cried with me, I hugged strangers and told them that it would be alright. I tried to convince them-- and myself at the same time---, because deep down I knew that things would never be the same. Forget Don McLean, 911 was the real day the "music died" in this country.

And, of course, the moron we had as a leader, didn't help. The first problem with him of course, was that like the lunatics who shattered our peace, he was deeply religious and thought he was called by god to lead us. So instead of thinking it through and figuring out a way to go after the perpetrators who attacked us, he launched his own version of Jihad against the Arab world. Instead of trying to bring us closer together as a country, he became more partisan, and threw us farther a part. Instead of asking for a shared commitment to service, he told us to go shopping. And instead of trying to build good will with the rest of the world, he made them hate us even more.

So now, seven years later, the man who was responsible for committing this despicable act is still held up in a cave somewhere like Fred fucking Flinstone. And all our idiot of a leader can do is say that al-Qaeda is in retreat, and all the evil doers are on the run. Yeah right. I have a news flash for yo frat boy: al-Qaeda is stronger than ever (your war gave them a hell of a recruiting tool), and we are no closer to capturing the Arab with Santa Clauses beard and Wilt Chamberlain's height than we were seven years ago. And you are still using the fear that was created by those 19 hijackers to hijack the political process, and take away our civil liberties.

Now I am left wondering who did the most damage from that day? The 19 hijackers or the frat boy? My gut of course tells me it's the hijackers; all those poor families without their loved ones that they lost that day. But my head tells me that it's this administration and their minions. September 11, was a tragic day, but we have endured tragedies and dark times in our history before. It's how we come out of those times that determines what type if country this will ultimately be, and tells us who we are as a people.

911 was a deep cut to our nations psyche and to our way of life. But this administration did not try to heal it. Instead, they let the wounds fester, and they made it even worse. So now, as a result, we will forever be scarred. There were 19 hijackers on those planes that day, but there was one hijacker sitting in a school house in Florida that day too.

This 911 is no joke.

I was going to blog about the "O" man today and try to create a positive read about A-merry-ca. 50,000 folks in Portland showing the "O" man some Northwest love. Talk about rock star.

The "O" man couldn't get 50,000 people who look like that to show up for him in West Virginia if they were giving away life time NASCAR tickets....well, maybe if they were for life.

Unfortunately, a recent incident in "Music City" AKA Nashville Tennessee, has me seeing red (or should I say black) this morning.

Poor Sheila Jones, all she wanted was some help. All she wanted was an agency that is supposed to be looking out for the welfare of its citizens to come to her aid, but they didn't. Not the way they were supposed to. Thankfully, Sheila Jones is still alive today, but that was not a result of the 911 operators who are supposed to be looking out for her. Sheila Jones is alive in spite of their actions.

Sheila:"Get out of my house"

911: "Is he a boyfriend?"

Sheila: "He's ex. Get out of my house. Help. Outside now. He just went outside. "

This, my friends, went on for two hours and no police officers came to help Ms. Jones.

Okay, bad enough, and the story would have ended there, except for the shocking--well not so shocking-- behavior of one of these operators. After having to deal with the poor woman's ordeal, he promptly hung up the phone and said he didn't "give a shit."

Well, I suspect I know why. Oh boy here comes the field with his race stuff. You damn right. I heard that call, and let's keep it 100% with each other. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the poor woman was black. And the more she screamed and the more desperate she became, the "blacker" she sounded. If only Sheila could have put on a very white sounding voice. Hello, ah hi, my name is Sheila, and I am in like sooo much trouble. My boyfriend is like right outside, and I swear he is like trying to get in. Mam, don't move, we will have someone there before you can hang up the phone. Oh gee thanks sir, wait, I hear the sirens now. Yes, the police officer is here, thanks again.

Sorry, Sheila, I heard the tape, you have to work on the way you speak, you sound way too ethnic.

"Get the police now, my life is threatened. Please God. Please God.Please God. (That's three please gods. Maybe they figured god would save the poor woman) Get me police over now. He's got a knife on me. My life threatened."

Yes Sheila, we are going to have to work on that. It could save your life one day.

A Wise man.

And now this from my man Tim Wise. (Hey the right wing wackos hate him, so that alone ought to make you read this shit) After last night's debate I think it's the perfect time to drop this little gem on you folks.

"For most white folks, indignation just doesn't wear well. Once affected or conjured up, it reminds one of a pudgy man, wearing a tie that may well have fit him when he was fifty pounds lighter, but which now cuts off somewhere above his navel and makes him look like an idiot.

Indignation doesn't work for most whites, because having remained sanguine about, silent during, indeed often supportive of so much injustice over the years in this country--the theft of native land and genocide of indigenous persons, and the enslavement of Africans being only two of the best examples--we are just a bit late to get into the game of moral rectitude. And once we enter it, our efforts at righteousness tend to fail the test of sincerity.

But here we are, in 2008, fuming at the words of Pastor Jeremiah Wright, of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago--occasionally Barack Obama's pastor, and the man whom Obama credits with having brought him to Christianity--for merely reminding us of those evils about which we have remained so quiet, so dismissive, so unconcerned. It is not the crime that bothers us, but the remembrance of it, the unwillingness to let it go--these last words being the first ones uttered by most whites it seems whenever anyone, least of all an "angry black man" like Jeremiah Wright, foists upon us the bill of particulars for several centuries of white supremacy.

But our collective indignation, no matter how loudly we announce it, cannot drown out the truth. And as much as white America may not be able to hear it (and as much as politics may require Obama to condemn it) let us be clear, Jeremiah Wright fundamentally told the truth.
Oh I know that for some such a comment will seem shocking. After all, didn't he say that America "got what it deserved" on 9/11? And didn't he say that black people should be singing "God Damn America" because of its treatment of the African American community throughout the years?

Well actually, no he didn't. "

There is more....

Ahhh the hate A-merry-ca crowd. But do they really? Wasn't the good Reverend a Marine? (That is a pic I have up there of a younger Reverend Wright in his military uni) And is it A-merry-ca that they hate or some of the people who control it? I wonder how many of those people served this country by putting their asses on the line?

And hey, if John Kerry was"Swift Boated" what do we call this phenomenon? "Reverend Wrighted?"
****Thanks Matef****

The war on common sense

Three soldiers were killed in Baghdad by a roadside bomb today. That brings the total of A-merry-cans who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this phony ass war, to 3,996. Yes folks, we are almost at the 4,000 mark.

And for what? Oh that's right we are in a war against terror, and we have to fight them over there so that they ---the terrorist--- won't fight us in the middle of Yankee Stadium. Yes folks, the "surge" is working. So says Mr. Morton and a host of other rethuglicans who have staked their political careers on this chaotic and ill conceived fiasco in Iraq.

"The US is on track to victory." Yeah sure frat boy, and just which victory is that? How do you even determine when you have won a war against terrorist? A terrorist does not represent a particular country, he represents an ideology. I agree with George Soros; "to fight terrorist we must use political and not military solutions. Terrorism is an abstraction, it merely lumps together all political movements that use terrorist tactics". So this so called war on terror that the frat boy has duped A-merry-cans into thinking exists, is nothing more than a huge political shell game, designed to give power to those who are using it, and to make their friends rich.

The frat boy, after all, is good at this; his family built their wealth and their empire thanks to wars.

So here we are again, five years in, with no end in sight. If you hear Mr. Morton tell it, we could be in Iraq for another 100 years. Now that's some scary shit! Think about it? At an average of approximately four thousand lives every five years, we are looking at eighty thousand more A-merry-can lives if Mr. Morton has his way. And think about this: five years into this war on terror, and we still have not captured Osama bin Laden, nor have we captured al-Zawahiri. There is still no political solution in Iraq, and we are no closer to making the real culprits and masterminds behind 911, pay.

But amazingly, 35% of the people in this country still believe that this war was worth it. And most of the people in this country seem to have moved on. Hell if you read all the national polls it is not even the number one issue on the minds of A-merry-cans anymore. Nope, far more pressing thinks to be concerned with, like putting food on our tables.

I know one thing, there are at least 3,996 A-merry-cans in this country who do care, because their loved ones gave the ultimate sacrifice. And my heart goes out to everyone of them.

Joe the hero!

"CALLER: He's going out the window right in and out of. I've got to go, buddy. I'm sorry but he's coming out the window. 911 Operator: Don't go out the door. Mr. Horn? CALLER: They just stole something. I'm going out the door. I ain't going to let them get away with this. They stole something. They got a bag of cash. I'm doing it. 911 Operator: Mr. Horn, do not go out of the house. CALLER: This ain't right, buddy. 911 Operator: You are going to go outside the house if you go out the house with a gun. Stay in the house. CALLER: They're getting away. 911 Operator: That's all right. Property's not worth killing someone over, okay? CALLER: Damn it. 911 Operator: Don't go out the house, don't be shooting nobody. I know you're frustrated but don't do it. CALLER: They got a bag of loot. 911 Operator: Okay. How big is the bag? They are carrying by hand -- they are walking out? Which way are they going? CALLER: I can't -- I'm going outside. I'll find out. 911 Operator: I don't want you going outside, Mr. Horn. CALLER: Well, here it goes, buddy. You hear the shotgun clicking and I'm going. 911 Operator: Don't go outside. CALLER: Don't move, you're dead. (Gunfire)"

That was the 911 transcript from my man Joe Horn's Clint Eastwood moment when he took the lives of two human beings by shooting them in the back. Now Joe is a fucking hero to some of his peeps in Houston (t)exas. "Joe may I have your autograph?"

I know I know, in (t)exas you can use deadly force to defend your neighbor's property. (Although I think the statute is meant for night time incidents only) But when I heard that tape I was convinced that old Joe was going to kill one of those "niggers" he saw burglarizing his neighbors home no matter what. Of course old Joe's attorney said he acted in self defense. Seems when old Joe ran out on his lawn shot gun in hand, one of the burglars turned towards him when he said, "don't move". Yep, that was his cue to let those brown mother fuckers have it. I think Joe felt his life was in danger.

Now I have been watching this case for awhile now, and I can't wait to see if the Harris County grand jury comes back with a criminal indictment against the "nigger" shooter. Hmmm, we are, after all, talking about (t)exas. In fact, I bet ole Joe is a hero to most of his neighbors. Hey, we just can't have these illegals running around breaking into people's homes now can we? "Don't mess with (t)exas." The wages of burglary is death! I even hear that a Houston plain clothes police officer who heard and was answering the 911 call, witnessed the shooting. His ass was lucky he wasn't black, or he would have been shot too. "Mr.. Horn put down that gun, I am a police officer. Yeah right nigger, bang!" But seriously, what the fuck is wrong with these people in (t)exas? Now there are dueling protest and the community has been torn along racial lines because of this bullshit. My question is why? The man shot two people who were robbing another person's house in broad daylight in the back!

Remember that old joke? Where the old southern law man comes upon the body of a black man hanging in a tree with a shotgun blast to the back of his head? And he spits out his chewing tobacco and says: "Damnm, worse case of suicide I done ever seen." That story reminds me of old Joe and his attorney when they say he acted in self defense. If you believe Joe that old Sheriff's assessment of seeing that black man in the tree wasn't so far fetched, and you probably didn't think that joke was funny. If you don't believe Joe, you are probably laughing your ass off.

Why Osama won.

I am always sceptical when I hear people yearning for the "good old days"in America. A time when according to them there were real family values in this country, and the American dream didn't seem so illusive. But the "good old days" to me didn't represent what it did to most A-merry-cans. The good old days to me represented a time when black people weren't in magazines or on television, and they had to drink at separate drinking fountains. But still, there are some good old days I would like to go back to. That would be the good old days before September 11, 2001.

Remember those days? The days before nineteen Saudi Arabian men decided that they wanted to hook up with 72 virgins in paradise, and decided to turn four commercial airliners into bombs. Those bombs ended up killing over three thousand of our fellow citizens, and forever changed our lives here in A-merry-ca. As Don McLean sang back in the day; "bye bye Ms. American pie".

Now thanks to a president who saw those attacks as the start of a spiritual war between Muslims and Christians; those lunatics didn't just kill over three thousand people that day, they killed the American spirit and what America stands for as well. I wonder what happened to that America? A place where we actually had civil liberties. A place where we could say and write whatever the fuck we wanted to without the fear of some government black suit throwing our asses in an unmarked plane and shipping our asses to Egypt, so that they could torture us until we vowed to vote republican. A place where we weren't paranoid every time we picked up the phone or stepped outside our door. A place where there wasn't a twenty four hour so called news station which focused on supporting the government and dividing the country along racial lines for the sake of ratings. A country where there wasn't a noose around every fucking corner, and every small town District Attorney from Michigan to Mississippi wasn't locking up people of color and throwing away the key.

Oh if we could only have those days again. Where did they go? I want to know, because not only are we fucked on a domestic level, but I am considered an American, and damn near every poor Arab boy in the world wants to kill my black ass because of my president.

Am I afraid? You bet your Chevy and your apple pie that I am. I am very afraid now and I wasn't afraid before 911. But I am not afraid of those Arab boys, I am afraid of my own government; and that is why Osama has won.

What I Remember!

It's one day away from the 911 anniversary [why do we say anniversary, as if it was a good day we want to remember?] and I, like every other American, have quite a few memories of that day and its aftermath.

I remember, that it was probably weather wise, the most beautiful morning that I have ever seen in all of my years on earth. The weather was particularly meaningful to me, because although we were at a court conference in Harrisburg Pennsylvania, we were supposed to play a full round of golf that day. I remember, as I was changing in my hotel room, listening to the news report on television about a "small" plane flying into one of the Twin Towers. I didn't pay much attention to it. In fact, as I went downstairs to meet my colleagues for breakfast, and I even joked to them about some guy in a Cessna or something who couldn't get his bearings straight, and crashed his plane into one of the Twin Towers. Boy was I wrong. As we stood in the lobby of that hotel, I will never forget how surreal it was watching the other plane crash into the second tower.

The looks on the faces of every one in that room, the mad dash to go home by people with young children, and families at home was something I will never forget. I suppose being at a conference and in a hotel, made those initial moments even more tense and horrifying to the people that were there with me. Most people were away from home, and most people, seeing the other stories of multiple planes being hijacked, one crashing into the Pentagon, and one of the hijacked planes heading right to us across Pennsylvania, could not help but think that we were under attack, and were at war.

Total strangers were crying with each other, and comforting each other in any way that they could. I called my significant other, who was working in a high rise building in Philadelphia on the seventeenth floor, to make sure she was OK. She said she was, and I told her that no matter what her company said to get the hell out of there. She said she would because she was scared, and that there was allot of talk in the office about America being under attack. I told her that the people in her officer were right. I will never forget the middle aged white lady who came up to me and said: "Can you believe this is happening in our country?" "Well", she said, "we are all together now" As if we weren't together before. Of course she was right, we weren't together before. And not only blacks and whites, but democrats and republicans, rich and poor, red staters and blue staters, you name it. We were just coming off Gore v. Bush, remember that? So in a way, I guess you couldn't blame us. But this incident, this moment, made us all realize how vulnerable we were. As Americans, we always viewed wars and terrorist attacks on our T.V. sets. We never thought that such things could happen to us in our beloved America, insulated in our bucolic Ozzie and Harriet worlds. But it did, because a bunch of religious fanatics wanted to bring the fight to us. So it united us for awhile. For awhile we were together as one America, united against the evil that invaded our peaceful existence.

This is why the war in Iraq really sets me off. Because rather than use a moment when we as citizens, were all ready to unite to defeat a common enemy. Our president, guided by the neocons in his party, used one of the most tragic moments in American history, to score political points, to settle old scores, and to push forth an agenda in the Middle East. It upset me, because of what I saw on the faces of the people in Harrisburg that day, and the bravery and selflessness of a lot of great people who gave their own lives to save others. It upsets me thinking about it now, because we are right back to where we were pre 911, if not worse. We are even more divided, and our president is still trying to score political points from this tragedy. [See his most recent political tour] It upset me, because the NBA sized terrorist, Osama Been Forgotten [that's classic] is still hiding out in Afghanistan somewhere and shaking his d%#k at us. I get upset thinking about people like the camel neck lady, aka Ann Coulter, attacking the widows of the horrific attacks to sell her book, and throw red meat to her fellow conservatives. Unfortunately, thanks to the behaviour of certain individuals, allot more than the Twin Towers collapsed that day. These individuals have led the collapse of decency and civility as well.

So yeah, I remember a lot of things about 911 and the horror that surrounded that day. But the most painful memory I have of 911 and the months and now years after, is the blown opportunity by our president to truly unite us, and show the world that we were going to stand up to the murdering zealots and their ilk, as one people. Not just republicans who need the war on terror to push their agenda. But as Americans who want nothing more than to protect our families, and on a beautiful day, be able to play a round of golf.

The field-negro again would like to thank all the first responders who put their butts on the line that day. And the field would like to give a long middle finger to our vice president, AKA Darth Vader, who was no where to be found, and who is still leading the charge to get the wrong enemy.

The field is out.
