I would like to thank my man Greg Fuller for sending me the following article from Media Matters. It kind of sums up how right wing blogs have been reacting to the anarchistic and hooligan style tactics of their wingnut friends.
"Right-wing blogs trivialize threats against Democrats
Right-wing blogs have responded to reported threats against Democrats who voted for the health care reform bill by trivializing the threats or suggesting that the reports are false, condemning the threats but making excuses for them, suggesting that Democrats themselves are to blame for receiving the threats, or suggesting other acts of violence that people could commit against their congressional representative.

Right-wing blogs trivialize threats, make excuses, blame Democrats
Big Government: "We doubt these threats are actually real and, certainly wouldn't condone them." In a March 25 post, the "Editorial Panel" of Andrew Breitbart's BigGovernment.com wrote: "Democrats and the leftist media are all atwitter about alleged threats of violence against Congressmen who voted for ObamaCare. We doubt these threats are actually real and, certainly wouldn't condone them." The post continued: "But, here's a tip: Hey Democrats, if you are worried about an angry public, how about not passing a sweeping government expansion opposed by 70% of the public. Just a thought."
Big Journalism's Walsh: Media "never once stops to question whether the Alinsky Party is, you know, exaggerating or even lying." In a March 24 post on Breitbart's BigJournalism.com about a report noting House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer warned Democrats about potential violence, Michael Walsh wrote: "Naturally, the media accepts this allegation at face value, and never once stops to question whether the Alinsky Party is, you know, exaggerating or even lying -- as the spiritual mentor of both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton taught it to do." Walsh later stated: "So listen up, MSM [mainstream media], and consider this speaking out: God forbid that anything should happen. But if it does happen, try not to leap to pre-planted conclusions that fit the narrative: 'Democrats good/Republicans bad.' "
Gateway Pundit: "Suddenly the State-Run Media is Horrified that Politician's [sic] Home Addresses Are Published on the Internet." In a March 24 post responding to reports that the FBI is investigating an incident at the home of Rep. Tom Perriello's (D-VA) brother, at which a gas line was allegedly cut, Jim Hoft wrote, "Suddenly the State-Run Media is Horrified that Politician's [sic] Home Addresses Are Published on the Internet." Hoft further wrote: "This week an angry tea party activist published the address of a Virginia Congressman on his blog and suggested that Tea Party Protesters go visit this socialist at home... The tea party organizer did not direct anyone to harm the Congressman. But, that won't stop the leftist media from going berserk over the incident."
Confederate Yankee: "[H]ave a swing" at "your Congressman" instead. In a March 24 blog post, right-wing blogger Confederate Yankee wrote that it is "totally unacceptable to threaten" Congress members' "relatives or friends and put them in danger." Confederate Yankee added: "Go to your Congressman's office and scream at him in the most colorful language possible. Hang him in effigy at protests. If you're willing to do the time for the crime, have a swing at him."
NewsBusters: "The Media's Myth of Right Wing Violence." In a March 24 NewsBusters post, Mithridate Ombud wrote that while "[t]hose who commit violence in the name of politics deserve political change no more than they deserve leniency in sentencing," President Obama's "desire to continue ramming through the most divisive legislation -- against his own creed -- isn't helping bring calm to even the most peaceful conservatives. And while the evidence of a violent right is scarce, there's no limit to liberals attempting to make conservatives look evil." Ombud further stated, "Whether this is a shortcut to 2nd Amendment action, valid concern, or just a bunch of crybaby progressive politicians over reacting to criticism, it's hard to tell." Ombud concluded: "The media and politicians who are trying to construct a meme of conservative violence as we run up to the 2010 elections should only face the weapon they fear most; the ballot."
Dan Riehl: "Dems Have Only Themselves To Blame For Threats." In a March 24 post on his blog titled, "Dems Have Only Themselves To Blame For Threats," Dan Riehl wrote: "No one should seriously enjoy seeing this type of thing going on. Though, I'd add, the Netroots crowd would have absolutely no problem with this were the shoe on the other foot. But it's not. It's on theirs." Riehl later wrote of Democrats who received threats: "These malignant little tyrants want to play the victim? After victimizing America with their pathetic antics, their corrupt practices, all to push a destructive ideology America has long rejected? The Democrats are the real criminals here. They have torn the fabric of America with a repulsive world view they now hope to thrust upon the American people, whether we like it, or not."
John Hinderaker: Threats "being played up in the press because the Democrats want to dampen the anger that has erupted" over health care reform. In a March 24 Powerline post, John Hinderaker wrote, "We condemn political violence in virtually all circumstances; certainly in all circumstances that could arise in our democracy." Hinderaker later wrote that "[t]he current threats (assuming they are real, as I assume some of them are) are being played up in the press because the Democrats want to dampen the anger that has erupted over their adoption of a government medicine program through a series of legislative maneuvers that are in some respects unprecedented." From Hinderaker's post:
We condemn political violence in virtually all circumstances; certainly in all circumstances that could arise in our democracy. Threats of violence, sadly, are not uncommon in politics; let alone "harassment." Even insignificant conservatives like us have been threatened with violence on several occasions, and the linked article notes that Jim Bunning received threats after he temporarily held up the extension of unemployment benefits a few weeks ago.
The current threats (assuming they are real, as I assume some of them are) are being played up in the press because the Democrats want to dampen the anger that has erupted over their adoption of a government medicine program through a series of legislative maneuvers that are in some respects unprecedented. It is important for the Democrats and their press minions to understand that there are many millions of Americans who regard Obamacare not just as misguided public policy, but as an illegitimate usurpation of power. I am one of the many millions who are outraged at the Left's attempt to destroy the private health care system that has served my family so well, and who regard Obamacare as illegitimate.
As for the threats, we will take them more seriously if they result in the cancellation of a public appearance by a liberal due to security concerns. But that never happens to liberals, only to conservatives. It happened again last night. That was in Canada, of course; the home of government medicine and little regard for free speech. No coincidence, that.
Lopez: "Threats are wrong. But they also are somewhat commonplace." In a post on National Review Online's The Corner blog, Kathryn Jean Lopez quoted from Hinderaker's Powerline post and downplayed the threats against Democrats:
Threats are wrong. But they also are somewhat commonplace. Take deep breaths and work harder, is my advice to anyone to receives one.
Let's not pretend that Obamacare critics are all violent or otherwise breed violence. And let's not pretend that John Boehner and Eric Cantor, or Jonah Goldberg and Kathryn Lopez, haven't been subject to ridiculous -- albeit disconcerting -- threats, too. This is bad news, but it didn't materialize this Saturday or Sunday with a "Don't Tread on Me" flag.
Fox News figures condemn threats against Democrats -- but then make excuses for them
As Media Matters for America has noted, several Fox News hosts and guests -- including Gretchen Carlson, Steve Doocy, and Brian Kilmeade; Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, S.E. Cupp, Charles Krauthammer, and Stephen Hayes -- have been quick to first condemn the threats against Democrats but then immediately make excuses for or dismiss the seriousness of the threats.http://mediamatters.org/items/201003250028"
Don't you just love the "threats are wrong-- but" arguments from these wingnut blogs?
Personally, this shit is mild to me. I come from a place where we kill our political enemies. So sticks and stones if you get my drift. Still, this is A-merry-ca, we are supposed to be civil with our politics and in our political discourse. Violence and threats of violence is not the A-merry-can political way. At least not anymore.
Oh well; bring it on wingnuts. We will be right here.

Forgot to say...
Love the photo with the shattered glass, the flag, and the words "Emergency Security Services" in the shattered window bottom left.
Very apropos...

Ah, yes. The Wingnut. In this most conservative of states, the first thing a Wingnut must do is prove that he is more conservative than his rivals. He must demonstrate that he is more pissed-off and more intolerant, more indifferent to suffering and injustice, more scornful of science and academe. He must prove that he loves Jesus, his wife, and Ronald Reagan, and he must do it all while paying homage to the Second Amendment and the power of the free market.
Oh yeah, he's gotta hate blacks, hispanics, and have only a mild distaste for gays and Jews, namely because he might need money and he probably likes to meet at Airports for some man-on-man action before going back to the state house to vote to ban gay marriage.
Of course the right wing is going to blame the victim. That's what they do. Nothing is ever their fault.
Pussies.
@ FN:
One more thing...Can yu just leave Steele up as the House Negro of the Year and be done with it :)
And...

What happened to majority Rule? The Man would not be n the White House if the People did't want him there.
Did not these rules come from the very people complaining? They were White long before anyone would listen to me,,,
I am just asking..

Field are you trying to make a point? There seems to be a pattern to all of the right wing blogs, hmm
Did you check out the post from the Holocaust survivor? that is a bit eery.

No need to ask - you know the answer
When keeping it political goes too far. Representative Stupack was correct in his assessment that these threats and attacks, were a form of domestic terrorism. The sane and rational from all sides must let it be known that these kinds of acts are not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
Hey Field don't forget that I said a while back that these isms that were just simmering below the surface were going to be used to turn folks against one another.
Notice how there is little real conversation going on.
Only fingerpointing!
Notice how much you are really hearing me,me,me,me.
Notice that the talk of peace and justice and the universal brotherhod of people has started to go by the wayside.
Did you notice how the cops and security handle some folks as opposed to the peace and justice or give em a little more crowd?
OBFUSCATION is the order of the day. Notice how terms and definitions have had their meaning changed. The centrist Obama became a socialist (of course some progressives think he is a progressive, Hell he aint even a liberal)
Nazisim is equated to international socialism. Fascism which is a condition under which we would not be having this open forum, has become passing Health Care Reform. Just think if the gov't had implemented Universal Health Care there would have been blood in the streets and why. Because a person would have to pay more in taxes but no longer have a private health insurance bill and go to the doctor or hospital with no worries. My bad I left out somebody down on their luck may be able to go to the hospital and get taken care of as well. Horror of horrors, injustice of injustices.
and...
Field I am a journalist and trust me none and I mean none of the Big Business MSM is objective all of them (with the exception of a few journalist and reporters) report the news with a bias toward supporting the government and the status quo.
Just ask Jody about how the Mumia supporters are portrayed? Try getting the Philly paper to get all the facts out the next time some young black is either hurt or killed by the police.
Ever watch them report on a white child missing compared to a black one.
Didn't they all "imbed" themselves among the troops in Iraq and failed to write a single critical story.
I think all of the news agencies pretty much cheered when they broadcast live the inhuman bombing and destruction of Iraq.
But they are not biased.
WHO BENEFITS FROM ALL THIS CONFUSION!!!
WHITE POWDERRRRRRRRR!!!!
"Field are you trying to make a point?"

Well DW JazzLover, it seems that some majorities are more the majority than others.
"Hey Field don't forget that I said a while back that these isms that were just simmering below the surface were going to be used to turn folks against one another.

Mel.why is that?
Let them stay in denial all they want because when the dung finally hits the fan it is gonna come back to haunt them. Yup, let them do what they do. It's not gone work and is going to backfire on them. What slides under the snakes belly has to come across his back too.
You reap what you sow!
This is obviously a diversion tactic and you fools all run with it. The left commits 99% of the political violence in America:
http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/201721.php
And the other big diversion story of the week is also a hoax. No tea partier called Lewis and Cleaver anything. This despite a deliberate attempt by the CBC to provoke an incident by walking as a block through a group of protesters. When no one said anything, they just went ahead and lied that they heard someone say "nigger". There were dozens of video cameras running, and no one recorded anything. There is now a $10,000 reward for anyone who provide any proof at all.
The democrat party LIVES ON RACE HATRED. To the extent people stop thinking about race, and start noticing they are being robbed, democrats lose.
The left is a cancer on humanity. There is nothing these vermin won't sink to, and to the extent you further this lie, you are complicit in this culture of hate.

They're terrorizing congressmen over this piss-poor reform. Imagine what the Hard Right would do if we passed a public option?
Its amazing how some people are just so afraid of change.
From Washington Monthly:
CANTOR'S CREATIVE DEFINITION OF 'THREAT'.... This week, we've seen an unacceptable number of incidents involving right-wing activists. To protest their rage about what they think the new health care law is, they're engaging in acts of political vandalism, assault, and harassment.
House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) seemed rather desperate today to characterize this as a bipartisan problem. During a bizarre press conference this morning, Cantor told reporters:
"I've received threats since I assumed elected office -- not only because of my position, but also because I'm Jewish. I've never blamed anyone in this body for that.
"Just recently I have been directly threatened: A bullet was shot through the window of my campaign office in Richmond this week."
Well, that sounds pretty serious. We've heard about plenty of vandalism at district congressional offices this week -- all of the cases involve Democrats as targets -- but this would be the first reported shooting.
The problem is, what Cantor told reporters wasn't true. When he said he was "directly threatened," Cantor was either shamelessly, blatantly lying, or he was popping off to the press about politically-motivated violence without getting his facts straight.
Here's what happened: early Tuesday morning, someone in the Richmond area fired a bullet into the air. It eventually came down and hit a building -- named, of course, the Reagan Building -- on the first floor. According to a report from the Richmond Police Department statement, "The round struck with enough force to break the windowpane but did not penetrate the window blinds. There was no other damage to the room, which is used occasionally for meetings by the congressman."
Was Eric Cantor "directly threatened" this week? Not if those words still have any meaning at all.

Cantor wasn't really terrorized. He was lying to make the case that Democrats and the left have been doing the same shit as the wingnuts have.
They haven't.
These anonymous wingnuts are full of shit.

The CBC's walk throught the Tea Party protest last Saturday was a staged event designed to manipulate the media. No video evidence has yet to be produced.
There is no reason in 21st century America on an issue that is not a black or white or a civil rights issue to have a bloc of black people walk slowly through a mostly white crowd to make a racial point. The walk in and of itself — with two of the participants holding their handheld cameras above their heads hoping to document “proof” — was an act of racism meant to create a contrast between the tea party crowd and themselves.
This is the same failed symbolism that Janeane Garofalo and MSNBC have been trying to implant for the last year. The only supposed evidence of white-on-black racism at a tea party that MSNBC was able to find was a man carrying a gun at an Arizona Obama rally. But, wait, MSNBC cut off the man’s head with a photo editing software. That Second Amendment fan was actually black. Never mind.
Saturday’s “never mind” moment will live in infamy as the Congressional Black Caucus claimed the N-word was hurled 15 times. YouTube video shows that at least two of the men in the procession were carrying video cameras and holding them above the crowd. They have not come forth with evidence to show that even one person hurled the vile racist epithet. The video also shows no head movement one way or another. Wouldn’t the N-word provoke a head turn or two? Is it really possible that in 2010, in a crowd of 30 or 40 thousand people — at the center of a once-in-a-lifetime media circus — not one person’s flipphone, Blackberry, video recorder or a network feed caught a single incident? And if not, then at least someone could have found an honest tea partier to act as an eyewitness — or the Congressional Black Caucus would have confronted the culprit(s). If that had happened, there would be an investigation to see if the perpetrator was a left-wing plant.
People like TSC believe what they want to believe. Any facts that don't their pre-conceived conclusions are ignored. TSC is a disciple of hate.
Trapped:
Your right. Why did the black folks even have to walk through a crowd and Pelosi following. I believe the story is the black guard (caucus) walked through first, knowing that shit might be said to them. And they walked through with cameras and video equipment? This was staged. The democrats are very good at racial profiling. But if folks looked arond they would see that democrats have done nothing for blacks at all.
Amen, Trapped In SC! Exactly, they are full of it and are trying to wiggle their way out of a bad situation that they started and incited. For one, they know that if someone comes up hurt, it is going to fall back on them. Two, they are big liars, full of deception, and the devil's pawns.
I guess those racist signs are a figment of folks imagination let the GOP tell it. Yeah, you don't see what you do see. Ain't that bout a biscuit!
To the Anons believing that these guys would that this was stage ........... as Rachel Maddow would say, Bull-Pucky.
There images of these freaks blocking the Capitol Hill entrances. And this is the same crew of anti-reform hard right activists who used every sleazy scare tactic to harass elected officials over Health care reforms this summer.
We are living in dangerous times.

Ooh look, at 10:39 a troll posted!
A troll. A stupid troll. Who probably states that the Stimulus Bill didn't work, even though every eminent economist says it did work (and would have worked even better had it not been too small, thanks to the brain dead Republicans).
Oh, and by the way, troll, please educate us as to who is to blame for the worst recession in 70 years. Enlighten us. Share your knowledge. Educate us. We await your pearls of wisdom with baited breath.
Do you think that President is Muslim? I bet you believe it, but where's the evidence?
I bet people like you think that the President was born in Kenya, yet there is no evidence of it. Why do you believe it, wingnut?

Field you do know I was joking when asked if you were trying to make a point (lol) I thought it was obvious.
It may slow down some of the Tea Party shenanigan deniers who are quick to point out that either: its all lies I tell you lies';they didn't see it; it was staged; or it was intruders; or provacateurs; or only one Tea Partier out of 10,000, or that the MSM made up or it was Santa Claus in disguise(lol).
Of course who did what and when is beyond the point.
Hey anon... at the end of the day, you can keep believing that "nothing happened".... me, I'm gonna keep smiling because we just declared health care as a right in this country.. so, throw a fit, stamp your feet, call me names... that smile is gonna still be there. And, guess what, next up, reforming the banks and financial system..
Now that I think about it, maybe Obama knew we needed health care reform first because of all the exploding heads, strokes and heart attacks that are sure to come as a result of frenzied minds being blown.... still smiling!

It doesn't matter who did or did not try to hijack political debate by manufacturing a phony racist incident? Is there a shred of evidence to link the tea party movement to any act of racism or violence? The answer is no, and that certainly does matter to me.
field, I know this applies to the thread below, but I just wanted to add this:
The Korth is a fine weapon, but, you're going to pay more than you need to. I don't know what caliber you might have in mind, but please...don't buy a 9MM. That's a girl gun. Ask the US military....they hate them. At the minimum, get a .40.....45 is best.
Look into a PT1911 Taurus .45. 8 in the mag, and 1 in the chamber, and it comes with all the bells & whistles.
They're made in Brazil, but don't let that fool you. Beretta produced weapons in Brazil, until they got the contract with the US Military to make the 9MM the service pistol. They sold the production line, with all the equipment to Taurus. So, you're basically getting a Beretta gun. I love mine. Never jams, accurate as hell, and you can get one for about 1K...maybe less. They also produce it in 9MM, .40, and .45.
BUT...you hit someone with that 230grain bullet from a .45, they are going DOWN...no matter where you hit them. I don't care if they're on crack or meth or PCP....they will DROP.
Also, look into Springfield Armory.
Don't buy a German gun...great weapons, but over-priced.
Just my two cents.

Anonymous 11:00 PM, Now the wingnuts are stuffing revisionist history down your throat! Poor guy. Now there's barely enough room for Glenn Beck's dick.
Some of those Tea Party participants came of age during the sixties. They probably didn't participate in any protest and watched on TV. They were probably secretly impressed and now they don't know how to act should they be like the SDS or more violent like the Weathermen.
As I mention a few post back, it they were organized they would know who the hell are in their ranks what strategy group were going to have, then they wouldn't have to be on the defensive about their tactics or goals.
Since their inception the Teaparty crowd (not a movement since they do have the numbers or clout) have been “haters not debaters”. In my opinion this is what the small portions of the republican party of “birthers, baggers and blowhards” have brought you. They are good at “Follow the Leader” of their dullard leaders, they listen to Beck, Hedgecock, Hannity, O’Reilly, Rush and Savage and the rest of the Blowhards. Are you surprise at what they do when you know what they think? The world is complicated and most republicans (Hamiliton, Lincoln, Roosevelt) believe that we should use government a little to increase social mobility, now its about dancing around the claim of government is the problem. The sainted Reagan passed the biggest tax increase in American history and as a result federal employment increased, but facts are lost when mired in mysticism and superstition. Although some republicans are trying to distant themselves from this fringe most of them are just going along and fanning the flames.
As for the window. This was staged by one of Cantor’s gun buddy, good try at being a victim but I don’t buy it, next.
Field this is the answer to your question about why no real conversation is going on.
Its called POLARIZATION!
The point is these actions and many seemingly well meaning, but yes selfish folks have added to the already polarizing effect that years of bourgeosie education and TVnews watching, newspapers, periodicals have created.
-So we have folks on the right being geeked up by the conservative politicians, who then hide their hands.
-They are encouraged by the think tanks of capital and big business. There has been indirect funding of right leaning events by various capitalist industries.
-And the result is folks are hollering and up in arms because they don't want the government to provide health care to everyone. I know all the arguments about the bill, but keep in mind always that whatever their problem, they were not for a system that was going to cover everyone esp. anything that was going to include poor folks.
-Also its important to remember that when folks from the Tea Party were interviewed, they couldn't even say what they represented, or why they were opposed to Health Care reform.
-There was a lot of uttering about going back to the days of the Founding Fathers and defending the right to bear arms etc. But no concrete ideas or even solutions to what they termed too much big government.
-Also note that this is not so innocent as folks would have us believe. This storm began to gather during the election campaign. Remember the epithets got so bad at Republican campaign rallies that John McCain had to step up and stop it. Remember somebody called Obama a bad name outloud during one of the Repub rallies and the crowd applauded.
-This thing has been gathering steam for over a year. But where is all this fuss headed. If you notice you hear few of them expressing problems with the Patriot Act and they were silent at the time it was passed.
-They are US nationalists, they want their gov't to bomb and exploit those others, but don't give anything to anyone here domestically that they don't think deserves it. And they want the borders closed behind them.
-They want America for themselves, the home grown US born primarily white middle class male/female, everybody else get back.
con't
-In the meantime, the liberals point fingers as they wait and watch for a president to do things that he has not said he was going to do, but they assign to him.
-They watch and they wait. We get a little help of course, but the little man the poor working class brother/sister is not aided at all.
-And their liberal brethren ignore their plight as they cheer on their black president.
-Black folks caught in the euphoria of having a black president get pissed because they sense that too many conservative white folks are really pissed because the president is black.
-So they ain't trying to hear it.But neither are they trying to hear the plight of their lesser off brethren if it interferes with their worship of the black president. 'Don't hassle the man they say he'll get to you, you know he ain't just the president for black people.'
-Liberals who believe that it will be alright and --esp. the ones who are alright-- are up in arms and calling the Tea Party folks names. They are all emotional because many of them suspect that the TPers are uneducated trailer park folks(not true of course). They don't want to believe that many of the TPers have real grievances, but are doing a bad job of expressing them.
-But many of these liberals are really snobs and upper class folks who think they are better than the Tea Party types. And everything in the US is just fine as far as they are concerned.
-And the folks who care about the whole deal that is the needs of all Americans are drowned out and so the needs of the poorest of Americans NOT ONLY DO THEY NOT GET MET BUT THEY AREN'T EVEN BEING HEARD.
-Our black brothers/sisters languish in prisons sentenced for too long and too often unfairly, their unemployment is nearly twice the rate as their white counterpart, but they can't be heard in the midst of all the noise.
-Their children are still getting a second class eduation, but they can't be heard.. Folks are losing their homes, but they can't be heard...children are feeling all this angst and many are acting it out but they can't be heard... more families are sleeping on the street or in shelters but they can't be heard...
-Who benefits from all this?
-Who loses?
Rotnkid,JOdy,Trapped, Uptown, AB, CF, M.Rigmaiden, Nsangoma, Mack, Ernesto, Karen, Field anons anyone want to take a shot?
-Who benefits from all this?
George Soros
-Who loses?
America
anonyass shut the fuck up, you're an asshole, racist prick. Assholes like you play deaf and dumb to what you radiator drinking hicks do to others. Admit it, YOU like the rest of the white population can't stomach us, I see it in your pig eyes every day at work. Believe me I hate you just as much as you hate me and anyone else who looks like me.
You ain't shit, take your weapons and white priviledge away, oh yeah and your ford truck, you are small and weak. deep down inside, each and every one of you knows it. It's your own inferiorities and inner fears that alow you to hate us so much. I am a warrior and I plan to die as one. If a war any of you whites want bring it. I am not in the least bit afraid of any of you.

Whatever you've been drinking, radiator fluid would be an upgrade. I hope you either get psychiatric help or arrested soon.
"I hope you either get psychiatric help or arrested soon"
You would like that wouldn't you?
Another nigger off the street eh?
"Another nigger off the street eh?"
No, another crazy person put away before they hurt someone.
"No, another crazy person put away before they hurt someone."
You mean like teabaggers?
I've noticed one thing on this blog. People using deragatory phrases like "toothless", "radiator drinking hicks", "bubba's", "trailer park trash", and many more epithets that I can think of now, are no better than being called a "nigger".
Much as I hate Robert Byrd.....there are white niggers, just like black niggers. I'm sure there are Chinese, German, Indian, and Polish niggers as well.
It's all detrimental, and doesn't make anyone look the better for it.
"Dumb Ass" would suffice.
"You can only be destroyed by believing that you really are what the white world calls a nigger" (James Baldwin).
"Gun owners are the new niggers . . . of society" (John Aquilino).
Used as a disparaging term for a member of any socially, economically, or politically deprived group of people:
Yeah, I feel ya! Smh!
Filled Negro:
I just got home from a road trip.
10 hours listening to Louis Farrahkan in the car. 5 up listening to the 4 CDs. The return trip - listening and documenting the key points that I plan to blast the Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism Chasers for their gross perversion of everything that they will CLAP FOR when they hear him speak.
Filled Negro - on the last leg of my trip I was listening to Joe Madison - The Black Eagle.
Get this filled negro he used the word SLASH.
He said that some hate filled right-winger SLASHED a natural gas service line of the brother of a Democratic congressman out of hatred.
SLASH!!!!
The operative word is SLASH!
Filled Negro I can't admit that I had listened to Mr Madison all week long to confirm this BUT; Do YOU think that Mr Madison said anything about the Black woman in Atlanta who had her THROAT SLASHED - along with the rest of her neck as some killer cut her head off and cut her HANDS off in order to delay the identification process?
GET THIS Filled Negro - the CNN analysts are saying that RUSH LIMBAUGH'S WORDS are causing people to go out and execute HATRED.
Well, well, well.
After hears of hearing the very same people say that the "Hip Hop Voice Of The Street Pirate" is merely ENTERTAINMENT and that WORDS IN A SONG is not going to provoke people into doing the violence that we see in the Ghetto - IT IS NICE TO SEE LEFTISTS spitting upon their previous position and now making the case that WORDS DO INDEED MATTER.
Field,
I spoke in haste. Readers do not need to go to yesterday's thread to observe the wingnut in his natural habitat, they can read this thread. The only surprise is that we have one, maybe two, anony posters and none of the usual "named" suspects (yet).
TSC @ 9:20-- That was feckin' hilarious, in a depressingly true kind of way.
Don't like it when the insults are thrown your way?
How do you think we have felt forever?
I learned a long time ago, there is no middle ground with you people.
See, a whit person can brush off insults, criminal charges, taxes and credit. I have to live in my beautiful, Black skin every day, and have to endure side eyes and smart comments. The only thing that keeps me sane on a daily basis is I have a family that depends on me. These white people down south feel they have the god-given right to be racists. I am not crazy. I witness this shit almost daily. Example: white co-worker tells my Japanese boss "no more worky for you ok?" My boss was truly pissed, he gave me a look to remember, but never said or done anything retaliatory. Had it been the other way around, some white hero somewhere would've made it their ultimate crusade to have this man destroyed. And just to show you how stupid this hick is, she probably thought he was Chinese. Boy, she sure is a true amerry-can.
Mellaneous,
I think rational people are getting what they want from this President. He was and is a slightly left of center politician, nothing more.
I think that he understands that to make this nation economically viable in the long term he has to:
-reform health care by putting a ceiling on what insurers can spend and a floor on what they could get away with with regards to coverage denials.
-reform immigration by enabling the undocumented with a path to citizenship for those who are serious about it. At least once these people are citizens, they can provide revenue in the form of various taxes the they were unable to pay previously.
The Tea Partiers doth protest too much, in my opinion. And, even though there is polarization in this country, the previous potential for this was always there, and it just needed an object for the hate to focus on.
There is a segment of this country that believes that the rich should not pay for the poor, directly or indirectly. That the intelligent should not pay for or subsidize the stupid, that the ambitious should not incur damages on the behalf of the slothful or that the authentic should not pay the bills for the fake.
You know, the "Atlas Shrugged" crowd.
The Tea Party movement is the embodiment of these beliefs in its most vitrolic, retarded form.
They think simple things.
Not that Obama is a Muslim, or is a Kenyan National, for that's too easy.
It's that Obama is a proxy for all those black welfare recipients, criminals, petulant pro athletes, gold-toothed rappers, every middle management type at a social service office who went to a HBCU, every teacher in a inner-city school, every possible permutation of the black experience that is perceived as negative or not being able to measure up to white standards.
It's not that Obama is president that bothers the wingnuts.
It's that we now live in a nation where that preposition is POSSIBLE that scares the conservatives that make up the tea party movement shitless. That, when give the slightest bit of daylight, we burst through the line and almost always score the touchdown. Obama scored, so now every little black kid in every hood in America know that it is POSSIBLE.
In the wingnut mind, if little Jamal scores, that means little Britney can't. And in the wingnut mind, Britney is the "real" American. She deserves it. After all, Jamal is a shadow Muslim from Kenya, after all.
That's what they mean when they cry out that they want their country back.
They know that the great evaporation of white privilege has begun, that one day, in the next fifty or sixty years, there simply won't be enough of them. That the notion of legacy, nepotism and the great unspoken advantage that is having white skin will be rendered null and void, and they will have to work their asses off and be subject to possible (gasp!) racial discrimination. Or they will not get a job, or acceptance to a school, or a club or a swimming pool because of the way that they looked, or because some figure just arbitrarily deemed them as not being worthy.
Just like what we deal with every damn day.
Now, Granny, I own several guns. Some of them you might hear called "assault weapons".
But, I've been able to live 49 years without shooting another human, and never plan to unless I'm threatend....(that includes my family)
Being a gun owner doesn't make someone a "nigger". I'm a hunter, and I enjoy shooting guns, just as much as you might like, gardening, for instance.
Here we go with the street pirate shit again. You know what's funny, it'll probably be a "street pirate" that ends your life cf. Now that is truly ironic! (in an organic sorta way.)
CF:
So, are you saying that the Congress folks life is of no value? Or do you just call yourself trying to do your regular distraction routine that you do when you want to change the topic at hand?
@ annon @ 10:24 pm:
Puh lease...don't go down that road. That dog won't bark.
Dissent = to withhold agreement with the MAJORITY through speech or actions.
Violence = an act of force and aggression resulting in injuries and destruction.
To know Zinn is to love him :)
Peace.

Okay Trapped I feel you!
I agree with your assessment of the president. Since I am a rational person I knew not to hope "overmuch" (lol) Glad to know you were under no delusions.
Would disagree on how that health care reform is actually going to shake out but like Malcolm used to say, "time will tell."
But you do acknowledge that we-- that is us regular folks --have got to try to find some way to bridge this foolishness. Because brother none of this is going to help any of us.
Check out this brother Kevin Jackson from Charleston, South Carolina.
Someone needs to talk to this brother. But I suspect he is hustling. Curious about what you think. You got to listen to this guy. And check out how ugly he gets at the 6 minute mark. Ironically he attacks poor people but he made his living supposedly helping them.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pFQML91BOA&feature=related
Person of Interest, I am not calling anyone the "N" word...LOL! That word is not part of my vocabulary. People have names that they were born with and that is usually what I refer to them as. At least that is the way I see it.
That was just something that came to mind that anonymous made me think about.
Well, since everyone seems to be in a provocative mood...where's that fathead, AB?

CF stop being silly. You know just like everyone on this blog, that the war cheeleading, poor folk hating, black folk denigrating, CNN ain't no leftist organization.
Man you so silly!
I got you, Granny. No probs.:)
Mellaneous,
I can't watch but so much of Mr. Jackson.
I get this "ORGANIC" feeling when I watch that video.
BTW, Shabazz, I pray that all is well with you. Granny missed you and thought that you might have been working overtime. :)

Kind of like when you watch gay porn, huh lttle man?
Mmmm. I think I'm glad I'm not the "partner" mbfrmhb is referring to.
@ FN:
What I am more shocked at is my hometown of DC. I remember a time and day when NO ONE was allowed to come up on the Hill with that mess. You'd have to get past us first.
I guess we couldn't get off our jobs in PG county....lol
And...
What do you think it will look like when the race riot starts now that blacks are just as heavily armed and dangerous...maybe we need to just send a few of those flash mobs out...just kidding!
And...
Did you see Tavis jig? He had some repub on from Tenn. talking about the violence.
To his credit (Smiling Faces) said that Palin's site has a gun symbol on every state who's politician voted for the health care bill.
All I can say about her is...Bless her heart (code for she's a loon) :)
Peace.

Agape,
That woman is crazier than a road lizard. They should be hauling her no good behind in and locking her up because she is one of the main instigators and inciters.
I don't know why they think she should get a pass threatening government officials. After all, she is no longer a government official she quit her job and gave up that status. Right now, she is just another citizen running her big mouth and don't have the sense God gave a goose.
Homeland Security needs to really keep an eye on PalincanseeRussia and her secessionist husband. Her husband is slick though. He keeps a low profile in the background but you better believe that he is one of the real players behind the scenes spreading his poison. Notice that those ole confederate states did not start talking secession until he came on the scene with his no brains wife.
@ CF:
Now I am not going to go into a diatribe with you...BUT...
Where do you think those street (hip hop) lyrics evolved from...
I mean we can kind of explain away Ludacris and Ice Cube et al. that are educated and made it long before their hip hop career...
But explain to me about Tupac, TI, and Ice Tea et al...where did they get the idea to stay "strapped"?
And what category do we put Common and Lupe et al. in?
After all, you would have to agree that our (black Americans) education and experience is European and comes from our ancestral slave holders...
Therefore, your logic is lost on me.
And...YOU listened to Farrakhan??? Bravo!
Peace.
~agape2010~
But, Agape.....she (Palin ) has the symbol on EVERY state, not just the ones who voted for the HCB. She's a gun owner, legally, and believes that the 2nd Amendment guarantees the right to own guns, for self-protection, and to defend the Republic against tyranny. If you want to change that, it will take a Constitutional Amendment.
@ A Person of...said:
"I'm a hunter, and I enjoy shooting guns, just as much as you might like, gardening, for instance."

APOI, Palin is not the only legal gun owner in America, but those gun owners who are playing with a full deck and not missing some chromsomes like Ms.I see Russia from my backyard are not posting crosshairs on Congressperson's pictures. Where I come from that is a threat to do violence to government officials and also intimidation. Who does Palin think she is Bonny or Clyde?
Man agape you are a trouble maker lol you are killing me (oops)
I am waiting to hear CF respond to your point. He really is silly.
tomorrow I am going to take him on about this Hip Hop foolishness I have let it slide long enough.
I am surprised no young buck has set him straight just yet. Come back tomorrow Agape it ought to be wild.
Its time to do some educating in the Fields.
Granny its good to see you back,we're going to have some fun now.
@ Granny:
You really have a way of putting things...
What I don't get about her is that she an opportunity to really come on the scene as a player and she didn't have the sense to see that.
I guess the road lizard dumb goose thing kicked in...hahahahaha!
Peace.
~agape2010~
Palin running around here openly threatening folks and getting a pass on it. No arrest, I don't understand that one because she should be treated just like any other ordinary citizen of which she is and arrested and convicted. After all threatening government officials is a crime punishable by Federal and state law. And while they at it, Glen Beck ought to be arrested and put in the next cell along with Roger Ailes and the rest of the Mob.
I'm sorry Grannny. I didn't see that. If so, that's messed up.
Can you send me that link, so I can show others?
But...as far as the "I can see Russia fom my backyard", I might also say the same thing about new Orleans, even though it's 200 miles from me. 2.5 hours driving. I might say the same thing. Same thing about Memphis.
@ APOI:
I like this site and will come back...but I don't do the name calling hatred thing.
And...
It gets to be a little much for me when the conversation gets lost in ignorance....
But I will come back just to see what you say CF about hip hop...:)
Still...
CF listened to Farrakhan for how long? And could not get one good thing out of it...
I highly doubt that when I know rednecks that have heard him and agree with him on some points.
Peace.
~agape2010~
They claim nothing is real or if they acknowledge it, they say progressives are behind it as plants. They think they can gaslight America.
@ APOI:
I actually do not have a problem with people owning guns. I think guns serve a useful purpose in some instances.
As far as Palin (now known to me as the snake, goose, lizard woman lol) I have NEVER been to her site.
I know that some sites get a hit and get paid...and I think she would go that low...make money off people and never let them know it.
You KNOW she can see Russia from her back porch...I say we hire her to watch the Russians and give us a full report! lol
Peace.
~agape2010~
Hell, Agape....I wouldn't even bother to try to converse with CF.
Nuts are nuts, no matter which tree they fall from.
Peace on you too.

You must live in the South, Agape! You have a Porch!
@ APOI and mell:
For some reason CF does not interact with me when he/she has gone off the deep end....
Which is often.
It makes me wonder about people who spend so much time on the net banging away at the keyboard for no profit other than to be heard...
How I wish I had those hours to give to anything I feel that strongly about...

~agape2010~
Hey, I can see the church from my front porch. Does that count?
@APOI:
No, Palin has a porch...I have a sun deck :)

Nope....you have to turn around and look thru a mirror over your left shoulder:)
@Trapped in SC
Your response to Mellaneous is gold certified.
As I scroll through the posts, there're only a few commenters here that I pause to read.
Starting today, you're on my list.
SO....I'm ging to get really prsonal here......do you have a "Lawn", or a "Yard"?
Sorry for the typos...my cat was eating my feet.
@ Trapped:
There is a case now in GA. now (I believe int he Fire Dpt. or Fire Marshall's Office) where that exact example is happening.
Sorry for not having all the details, but...
It seems that the black Fire Chief has said that he wants to get rid of some whites and hire black in their places.
I'm sure there's more to it than that and I'm putting it simplistically.
It was bound to happen. There have been many predictions that this country would eventually turn into a brown majority.
Peace.
~agape2010~
What gets me is the first thing the Fox Mob and Palincapone hollers is that they are exercising their freedom of speech. Okay, but since when did freedom of speech include threats of violence towards high-ranking government officials? Am I missing something here?
Go in any government building and threaten a regular, civil servant, government employee and watch and see if you are not hauled to the nearest jailhouse, arraigned, charged, and sentenced to the maximum time + a $10,000 fine as a penalty quicker than you can say jack rabbit. When you see daylight again, I bet you'll definitely see some change.
Ok just step right out and ask me my business...hahahaha!
It's a lawn when it gets done by the lawn carers...
and...
it's a yard when it looks like no one has attended to it...
hahahahaha!!
peace.

Agape:
LOL!
BD,
Trapped in SC is one of the commenters to read. I will be out of the Fields for about a week. My father in law died. With the climate being the way it is after the passage of the HC bill, I better have eyes in the back of my head driving to Texas.
Granny, TSC, Jody, and the rest of you guys behave and leave CF and the trolls alone (in my Brittany Spears voice)...JUST KIDDING, do what you all do best :)
Well damn Agape!....we must be living on the same grass/weeds!
Sorry for your loss, Blinders.
Try not to stop at any place with about 30 Harley's in front, and you'll be fine..
Blinders;
I pray that you have you have a safe journey and that you and your family are comforted with lots of love in your time of grief.
Weeping endureth for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
@Blinders Off: "My father in law died. With the climate being the way it is after the passage of the HC bill, I better have eyes in the back of my head driving to Texas."
I'm sorry for your lost. God speed, but watch out for those speed traps, and gas stations with rusty "Open For Business" signs, but not a car in sight.
Seriously, you're in my prayers.
Is someone on here getting married or thinking about getting married? Because I am hearing the wedding march song over and over, loud and clear. If so June will be nice time for a wedding. And with that I'm saying night to all, peaceful dreams, and blessings!

And yes, Cantor lied!
Blinders Off, I am sorry to hear about your father in law. You are in my thoughts. Have a safe trip.

Destructive Wingnut, you still did not provide any proof that a "street pirate" killed that woman in ATL.

Stopping the health-care madness
By Eugene Robinson
Friday, March 26, 2010; A23
Let's not pretend anymore that the tea party movement is harmless. The right to protest is one of our cherished American freedoms. But there is no right to vandalism, no right to threaten our elected officials' lives. Someone is going to get hurt unless those who lead the movement -- and those who exploit it -- start acting like responsible adults.
What are the chances of that?
It was Sarah Palin, the Eva Peron of the tea party crowd, who used Facebook to target 20 Democrats who voted for health-care reform, indicating their districts' locations on a map with the cross hairs of a rifle scope. It was Palin who wrote on Twitter: "Commonsense Conservatives & lovers of America: 'Don't Retreat, Instead -- RELOAD!' Pls see my Facebook page."
That anyone still listens to this person is one of the most unfortunate unintended consequences of social networking.
At least 10 House Democrats have had to request additional security since Sunday's health-care vote. Someone left a coffin on the lawn of Rep. Russ Carnahan's home in Missouri. Glass doors and windows were broken at the district offices of Reps. Louise Slaughter of New York and Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona. Vandals have damaged Democratic Party offices in Wichita, Cincinnati and Rochester, N.Y.
And Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan, whose last-minute compromise on abortion funding guaranteed final passage of the reform act, has received a flood of abusive phone calls at his office and home. Someone faxed him a drawing of a noose. One voice mail, subsequently posted on the Internet, was left by a woman who wanted Stupak to know that "there are millions of people across the country who wish you ill." Another caller was more direct: "You're dead. We know where you live. We'll get you."
One would expect responsible Republican leaders to do everything in their power to lower the temperature. House Minority Leader John Boehner said on Fox News that "violence and threats are unacceptable." Minority Whip Eric Cantor disclosed that he has received numerous threats in the past and that a bullet was fired through the window of his Richmond campaign office last week. Given all this, one would think these two might have intervened Sunday when fellow House Republicans were whipping up the angry tea party crowd at the Capitol.
Some of the vandalism appears to have been inspired by an Alabama blogger, Mike Vanderboegh, who trumpeted the bright idea that opponents of health-care reform should throw bricks at Democratic headquarters across the country. After someone did just that in Rochester, a reporter from the Democrat and Chronicle called Vanderboegh for comment. "I guess that guy's one of ours," Vanderboegh said. "Glad to know people read my blog."
If authorities tried to file any charges against him, Vanderboegh said, a trial "would certainly give me an opportunity to make my case to a larger public." The nature of his "case" may be illuminated by a short story, titled "Absolved," that he published on a right-wing Web site. His fictional protagonist fights to the death against unnamed, uniform-wearing "thugs" -- apparently police -- who have come to his house to confiscate his huge arsenal of guns and explosives.
On Thursday, tea party leaders around the country issued statements strongly denouncing threats or violence against members of Congress or anyone else. A number of the leaders said there was no proof that the perpetrators were members of tea party organizations.
But this strikes me, and probably will strike others, as disingenuous. The tea party movement is fueled by rhetoric that echoes the paranoid ravings of the most extreme right-wing nutcases. When tea party leaders talk about the threat of "socialism" and call for "a new revolution" and vow to "take our country back," they can say they are simply using vivid metaphors. But they cannot plausibly claim to be unaware that there are people -- perhaps on the fringe of the movement, but close enough -- who give every sign of taking these incendiary words literally.
And does anyone doubt that the movement attracts the kind of people who take these words literally?
Organizations such as the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center have documented the troubling rise of right-wing militia and "patriot" groups. Political leaders who appropriate and reinforce the extremists' language -- who urge angry people to "reload" -- are being reckless. They must stop this madness before someone gets hurt.
Granny, you ought to be given a trophy for being the stupidest gutter ape around. Now go change your diaper, you hatemonger.
CF listened to Farrakhan for how long? And could not get one good thing out of it...
Agape:
I just posted a response to you but my stupid Chrome browser crashed. Now I am pissed. I won't retype my diatribe but will ask you a concentrated set of questions.
Why do you ask me where the Street Pirates have learned their violence? It appears that you are assigning the liability for their actions today upon the White man. Over the past 2 months I have purchased 2 distinct "Mix CDs" from two unrelated rappers who were selling them in front of stores in the metro area (one of them in an upper middle class Black area). BOTH OF THEM contained the same VIOLENCE and SELF-HATRED for those who were threats to them yet who look just like them.
Agape - do you find it interesting that in your wisdom you are able to tell me HOW these people who are contemporaries of yours have been DAMAGED (by White Supremacy) yet I don't see you or many others seeking to stop the spread of their virus of self-hatred that they sell one CD or iTunes download at a time.
I would be more impressed if you were to tell me how the MAJORITY OF BLACK FOLKS have found a way to avoid such violent acts - DESPITE their "Slave History" and thus are not doing what these people who HAVE BEEN IMPACTED BY SLAVERY are doing?
Oh yeah, he's gotta hate blacks, hispanics, and have only a mild distaste for gays and Jews, namely because he might need money and he probably likes to meet at Airports for some man-on-man action before going back to the state house to vote to ban gay marriage.
Low & Country:
I drove through your state for the past 2 days. Did ya feel me?
I had planned to drive to the front entrance of the "Bob Jones Univ" and take a picture for my blog with the caption: "A Black Man With A $20 Bill Dangling From His Back Pocket Has Less Risk Of Being Assaulted Walking Through This Plot Of Land Than He Would Walking Down Rev Joseph E Lowery Blvd In Atlanta". I was too tired to hop off of I85 by the time I passed through that part of Greenville. I'll get you the next time.
I read your statement above Low & Country and I am forced to agree with you. The BIGOTS that you speak of in your list are indeed very particular about who they attack. They try to avoid their own.
A STREET PIRATE, however is a far more EQUAL OPPORTUNITY ASSAILANT.
Don't you know, Low & Country - when I got home and did a quick scan of 3 days worth of local news in the ATL there were 3 distinct stories of BLACK WOMEN who are being TERRORIZED BY CRIME in their communities by Street Pirates. (2 were robbed at gun point in front of their houses)
Here is what I am frustrated with. Fellow females who SHOULD BE giving these women who are being attacked by this NO GOOD MEN their support instead look at ME and claim that when I showcase these FACTS - I am showing my SELF-HATRED.
The greater truth is that operatives like Filled Negro, Rachel Maddow, and others HAVE NO PARTICULAR BENEFIT in showing these OTHER TYPES OF THREATS. There is no political advantage that they can obtain from them.
Eric Cantor..
Just recently I have been directly threatened: A bullet was shot through the window of my campaign office in Richmond this week."
------------------------------
He must have channeled '95 when he was making up this story. Richmond was like the wild west back then. Nice try Eric.
Trapped:
Staged like a police sting, and the idiots acted like the racost, bigots that they are. So it's the Dems fault that the Tea partiers responded the way they did. Hmmmm. Not too smart are they?
Destructive Wingnut, you still did not provide any proof that a "street pirate" killed that woman in ATL.
Filled Negro:
You are correct.
If I were to use your sentiments about who is committing the bulk of the crime in the Black community it would be more logical for me to believe that THE POLICE cut this woman's head off.
BUT HERE IS THE REAL INDICTMENT though Filled Negro:
I am currently observing the CIVIL RIGHTS ACTOR-VIST reaction to this decapitation and comparing it to the response to when the WHITE MAN BEAT UP A BLACK WOMAN IN FRONT OF THE CRACKER BARREL last summer.
You have to understand something Filled Negro. The best INDICTMENT against the fraud coming from the establishment machine that you are complicit with is to merely ALLOW THE CAMERA TO RECORD and then provide the proper analysis where everything is stitched together.
DESPITE hearing several Black women in the Vine City section of Atlanta (John Lewis' district) saying on camera "I fear for my safety" there has been NO COORDINATED RESPONSE from the usual suspects.
How about this one: Whereas Bush had the National Guard in Iraq and thus they could not response in Katrina - the BQPFRC Establishment has their eyes focused on Tea Parties, Sarah Palin and Michael Steele so much that "This Negro who get her shelf kilt and her HEAD CUT OFF is just going to have to be more careful where she walks. Don't she know that these streets are dangerous?"
Here is the most PERVERTED part of it all Filled Negro. In your PIOUSNESS you CLAIM that your activism is for the goal of one day making these same streets SAFE AND PRODUCTIVE FOR THE NEGRO. The truth is that your consciousness has largely DEPARTED these areas as you instead WORK ON BEHALF OF THEM in the more CIVILIZED halls of the court room and the legislature.
The biggest indictment that one could render upon the Progressive-Fundamentalist is to take a camera crew INTO the place where his views have been accepted most strongly with no force counteracting it.
My friend Mellaneous:
Do you mind if I give you some "constructive feedback"?
I see flashes of a descent human being within you. This is counterbalanced by the knowledge that you have this great big club hidden behind your back that you would beat me upside of the head with your LEFT arm.
-So we have folks on the right being geeked up by the conservative politicians, who then hide their hands.
-They are encouraged by the think tanks of capital and big business. There has been indirect funding of right leaning events by various capitalist industries.
Mellaneous - just for grins, what are the forces that "geek up" the LEFT?
-Also its important to remember that when folks from the Tea Party were interviewed, they couldn't even say what they represented, or why they were opposed to Health Care reform.
Mellaneous - IS IT POSSIBLE that you have this sentiment because you watch the "Gonzo Journalism" of Rachel Maddow which seeks out clueless Tea Party people instead of those who have articulated their views on Health Care reform? I have heard PLENTY of evil conservatives who said that they agree that removing the preexisting conditions policies is a good thing but the other STATIST EXPANSIONARY elements of the bill is what is problematic.
-They want America for themselves, the home grown US born primarily white middle class male/female, everybody else get back.
Wow Mellaneous - as a BLACK MALE I merely want to avoid having an ABSTRACTION between my work and preparation efforts and the STANDARD OF LIVING that I can expect.
My friend Mellaneous - I have thought about my views on this legislation and my ideology in general, cross referencing the REAL PROBLEMS with poor people that need to be addressed. HOWEVER I am made to conclude that the mindset encompassed in this bill is merely the PARALLEL UNIVERSE to the notion of "Tax Cuts For The Rich" - with the SAME CONTEMPT FOR THE POOR.
Mellaneous - WHAT ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES are the poor asked so that they might live UP TO this higher standard of living? You tacitly show their INFERIORITY by not even bothering to ask them the question. Tax Cuts noted that DESPITE the NEEDS in this society - the wealthy were allowed to keep their money. The failure to DEVELOP COMPETENCY is the very same damned thing!!!! It also makes note of the NEED yet it assumes that the NEEDY can't be the MAIN AGENTS that are turned to which support this HIGHER STANDARD at which they live.
Fear not my dear friend Granny - we are going to get to a point where the SERVICE PROVIDERS PROFIT FROM YOUR BODY!!!! Why should you care, dearest Granny? YOU WANTED TO BE SERVICED!! They provided you with SERVICE. Your input can't cover the entire amount of the SERVICE that you received. If the same people who PAID ABUNDANT TAXES also receive the MONEY for SERVICING YOU - why should you PROTEST over WHO GOT THE CONTRACT TO SERVICE YOU? IT WASN'T YOUR MONEY IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
Don't you see Mellanous? The highest form of PROTEST against this scheme would be to REFUSE TO OFFER YOUR BODY into the MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENT for them to PROFIT OFF OF YOU. (This is a parallel argument to my rebutall of your OIL IMPERIALISM claims)
The problem is YOU ARE NOT going to boycott the system by PUTTING YOUR BODY ON STRIKE!!!! You are ultimately a DEPENDENT. During the time when YOU CONTROLLED THE SCHOOLS, THE COMMUNITY CONSCIOUSNESS and the CURRENCY WITHIN you FAILED to develop the COMPETENCIES Necessary for YOU to become the MEDICAL SERVICE PROVIDER.
poor people of all races in this world/country have been grossly abused by the us govt since ronny raygun!

Or rather, we'll drown them in promises of reforms, because we'll never give them real ones either!!

This is called "SOLD OUT FOR OBAMA".
I think that your analysis is off though. They should not be looking at OBAMA but instead the ENTIRE MACHINE UPON WHICH HE SITS ATOP OF.
Long before Obama got into the White House - people with his ideology HAD CONTROL OVER the local communities and SCHOOLS.
Anyone who believe that the Federal government from afar is going to FIX what these same people PUT INTO POWER LOCALLY - where there is far more upclose and personal contact with the people in question is a person who might SELL HIS SOUL to the highest bidder because he has a hollow consciousness inside - waiting for SOMEONE ELSE to make him whole.

Mellaneous - I am NOT going to allow YOU or Ben Jealous to talk in THIRD PARTY TERMS when it comes to EDUCATION FOR THE NEGRO!!
In 2010 the Negro has far more FAVORABLE PEOPLE leading him in instruction than at ANY OTHER TIME IN HISTORY!!!!
If you proclaim that his EDUCATION IS INFERIOR then you may as well cut to the chase and admit that YOU BELIEVE that HE IS INFERIOR. For today HE EDUCATES HIMSELF!!!!!
There is no KLANSMEN molesting him!!
There IS NO Red Shirts that fire bullets through his window as a threat against him COMING TO "THEIR" school tomorrow.
THESE VICTORIES HAVE BEEN WON!!!!
What YOU NEED TO DO, Mellaneous - is to step away from your intellectual loyalities and QUESTION!!!!...........Were the things that we were STRUGGLING FOR actually those which we SAID we were STRUGGLING FOR?
Look at WHO IS POWERFUL TODAY in our damned communities as our people SUFFER!!!

Trapped in SC said..."There is a segment of this country that believes that the rich should not pay for the poor, directly or indirectly. That the intelligent should not pay for or subsidize the stupid, that the ambitious should not incur damages on the behalf of the slothful or that the authentic should not pay the bills for the fake.
You know, the "Atlas Shrugged" crowd.
Some libertarians and GOPers really do believe that it is not their responsibility to create safety nets. They truly believe that charity is immoral. I completely despise the AynRandian philosophy of exalting selfishness and believe it is counteractive to living among other human beings.
But I would disagree that this is the essence of the Tea party movement. Many of the original TPers have begun to complain that the whole concept has been co-opted by shills for the GOP. Sarah Palin spoke at one of the rallies and some people boycotted it on the grounds that she doesn't embody true TP ideals.
There is a lot of fragmentation in the movement and sadly the only depictions you see in the media are racist assholes who are pissed that a nigga is in the white house and try to shroud that hatred in faux patriotism.
HOWEVER, there are a large segment of people who, as I said before, have been part of the movement for many years prior to this incarnation...They have been pissed at the abuse of federal power since the inception of this country and have always added a healthy voice to national discourse. These are the people who hold the Constitution dear and believe in the voice of the people.
Given recent Supreme Court decisions, like over the past forty years, this type of dissent was bound to arise.
In all honesty, if you read some of the healthcare bill you would be concerned about the individual rights of seniors and disabled people. Being pissed at the government is how our country got started in the first place! People need to be able to voice their opinions and be heard.
But I agree that those who exalt selfishness are acting in an immoral fashion. My opposition to this incarnation of health care reform has nothing to do with selfishness and has everything to do with the structural issues, the privacy concerns, the cost shifting and a whole host of other issues, so it isn't right to boil down all opposition to selfish AynRandians.

"Vanderboegh said he once worked as a warehouse manager but now lives on government disability checks. He said he receives $1,300 a month because of his congestive heart failure, diabetes and hypertension. He has private health insurance through his wife, who works for a company that sells forklift products."

I actually like the fact that you have been looking around on my blogs, doing background research on me.
In your own contemptuousness you couldn't bear to think that ME - a self described "Black Conservator" has sought out a Black bookstore and gave them a significant amount of money as I purchased several DVDs and audio CDs - ALL OF THEM related to "Community Development".
I get the feeling that you would have been more pleased HAD I purchased the latest "Hip Hop Voice Of The Street Pirate" CDs that the guy a few doors down was selling - all of them PIRATED copies. 10 hours of these messages would have made you happy.
Here is a previous of my analysis of Min Farrahkan:
I am NOT going to attack him. Instead I am going to make note that the PROGRESSIVE-FUNDAMENTALIST Blacks in the audience ROARED as he spoke.
My chief strategy is to USE HIS WORDS AS A REFERENCE for what BLACK FOLKS ARE AGREEABLE TOWARD and then note how FAR SHORT the policies that you support are with regard to what you CLAPPED FOR.
The key indictment against Min Farrahkan are as follows:
1) Where as the deeds of the White man are no doubt documented he should be called "White-Obsessed". All the while he is focusing on WHITEY - the Koreans are selling us 90% of the "Pants On The Ground" clothing that are in abudance at ALL Urban Flea Markets. (GO SEE FOR YOUR SELVES!!!!!).
2) Min Farrahkan's main flaw, however, is his INABILITY to MANAGE BLACK LEADERS who's policies are a GROSS PERVERSION of all that he teaches in regards to "self-reliance" and not depending upon your "Former Slave Master" for your survival.
Which leads me to my next post......
M.Rig-
You have lost me sister. You say that people have a right to protest and of course as someone who thinks that this system only works for the rich i am down with that.
But I can't forget your almost cavalier assertion that the state of Mississippi had spoken with the majority when they canceled the prom to keep the two gay girls from attending.
You said that the majority opinion should be respected and kind of left it at that. And AB understandably was pissed and I was a bit disturbed as well by how you so easily overlooked the years of struggle by our particular minority group who were held down by the will of the majority.
So what do you really believe?
Rotenkid don't you have an opinion on this Hip Hop misinformation that CF keeps spreading.
Speak up for your generation young man. Speak up!
M. Rigmaiden:
WHY do you focus upon issues such as FREEDOM in your discussion with a person who HAS NO DIGNITY??????!!!!!!
They want to be SERVICED!!!
They will show loyalty to ANY FORCE that will service them and feed them.
WHERE DOES "FREEDOM" or issues of Government Encroachment come in?
The sad truth of the matter is that in 50 years or 100 years the COMPETENCY of 'The Least of These" will NOT HAVE CHANGED.
Those who can articulate with precise detail the YEAR that the BLACK MAN HAD HIS CULTURE STOLEN FROM HIM are also some of the most UNQUALIFIED people to turn to when you seek to BUILD A NEW CULTURE.
Those filled with grievance and revenge are going to create a CULTURE that is strong on DEPENDENCE.
Some have little belief in the COMPETENCY of their own people and thus will develop a consciousness that AVOIDS at all cost the notion that THEIR OWN PEOPLE will have the final say at the STANDARD OF LIVING at which they live.
HOW do you allow a SICK MoFo who is stuck in the PAST to be the ARCHITECT of the foundation that you are going to live in the FUTURE???
Your best bet is to DISPOSE of this rogue character lest your FUTURE look very much like YOUR PAST:
* Dependent
* Vulnerable
* Dysfunctional
The very same DEVIL that he speaks of the most will FINANCE HIS HEALTH CARE and his FOOD.
In his focus upon his ENEMY he has FAILED to develop the needed level of consciousness upon which his own people could build up themselves.
It is just a matter of time before someone else gets the CONTRACT to service him.

What this reveals is that you are a self-hating rightwing shill who is on a mission to prove that black people are bigger problems for themselves than white bigots are.

What about the millions of blacks who live in safe well kept communities?

It is about 12 noon on Friday. Between now and the close of the weekend - Sunday at 11:59pm - HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO BET that MORE BLACK PEOPLE will be murdered by forces that you are LOATHED to talk about than we are killed by those who you have your rifle scope pointed upon?
You are the starting running back in the FOOTBALL GAME that Malcolm X told us about with Filled Negro as the Quarterback, WhiteBowieSteve as the Waterboy and Low & Country as the official jock strap washer during halftime and the end of the game.

Mellaneous -
If you see a calculus text book sitting on the desks at the high school in Rhode Island that was in the news a few weeks ago.....upon interviewing the students you hear their 100% agreement: "The teacher told us to open the book as a reference for what he was writing on the board and WE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE BOOK as it CONFUSED US".
Mellaneous which choice sits better with you:
1) The student's contention that the calculus book was full of ERRORS and thus they could not understand it
2) The book was just fine. It was the RELATIVE CONSCIOUSNESS possessed by the STUDENTS in the class - and those who CONSPIRED to have them remain as such who are responsible for them not being able to use understand the contents of the book which requires advanced reasoning?
Of course there would be more crime on a ghetto street than a college campus but don't you think a more apt comparison would be Bob Jones Univ and Morehouse??

Did you see above how Steve introduced a slight of hand?
He shifted his fake reply - making it appear that I was calling ALL BLACK PEOPLE CRIMINALS.
Sadly this is a very popular tactic used by propagandists who have their megaphones trained upon our communities.
The safest space for Steve and others (Filled Negro) is to focus upon EXTERNAL WHITE FOLKS!!!! When they can get Blacks to get unified in our anger against this EXTERNAL THREAT then no one will EVER be accused of GOING TOO FAR and thus demonizing a group to the point of bigotry and generalization.
If WhiteBowieSteve were a more honest man he would see that BOTH OF US have the job of rendering a model that most closely approximates the real threats that are present in the world so that our SOLUTIONS can shift the negative forces off of us".
Instead Steve and other bigots are more interested in advancing their own ideology and party that NO AMOUNT OF VIDEOS of "Black People Crying on the evening news" will be enough to overcome his bigotry.
This is how you shut up a Tom.
CF, you claim that BFRQSC or whatever you call us are focused on the wrong enemy.
Alright let's say I concede your point.
Now, what should the CBC, President Obama, big city mayors and the black citizenry in general (particularly black suburbanites like myself) being doing about street crime that the police aren't already doing?
"Did you see above how Steve introduced a slight of hand?"

You are so full of crap if you took a dump you'd be transparent.
CF, I see you are trying to engage some of us.
If you had something more that GOP talking points, we would.
Your arguments never deviate far from the "black folks are bad because they don't police themselves" thesis.
Do you have anything more, anything substantive? Any thing that you ORGANICALLY thought up yourself?
Or do you relish the idea of being a black conservative as something akin to being like Eminem, or the Beastie Boys, or Teena Marie? That is, being the exception that proves the rule?

Alicia speaking of items becoming law from twisted ideals. We see the effects everyday in our communities, schools, and families. It is about time we make America responsible for running a prison industrial complex on the backs of Black and Brown people. What gets me so upset, is so soon we forget the purported studies and findings of academia. Just a few overwhelming stats for your consumption, in 1970 there were 300,00 people incarcerated in the US and now there is 2.3 million and guess who has always been the majority there. If you said Black and Brown people ding ding you are correct and the disturbing fact is minorities currently make up 85% of the current inmate population and for every three black men one of them will be a felon. Is it not obvious that once you become a felon you lose majority of your constitutional freedoms and since minorities are the ones most affected by these stigmas it serves t show why the White Agenda is not to keen on fixing the problem. Instead they implement further privatization of correctional institution in rural White areas and those communities benefit from an increased population in governmental subsidies. Listen to formulate our Agenda we must truly understand how we targeted. Please read this article get a better understanding of the mass incarceration of minorities click or paste in your address bar http://pureblacktruth.wordpress.com/2010/03/24/the-new-nigger-has-been-resurrected/.
I’ll leave you with this once you’re branded a felon, you may be denied the right to vote; automatically excluded from juries; and legally discriminated against in employment, housing, access to education and public benefits. You know, the very rights that we supposedly won for African Americans in the civil rights movement no longer exist for those labeled felons. That’s why I say we have not ended racial caste in America; we’ve merely redesigned it. All the old forms of discrimination, the forms of discrimination we supposedly left behind, are now perfectly legal once you’ve been labeled a felon. And thanks to the war on drugs, millions of people of color have been branded felons for relatively minor drug activity, you know, in the past few decades.

i also hated how colorists and sexists who bash beautiful black women and demand that all women be anorexic and yellow/white dared to praise the equally colorist obese whore biggie as some sex symbol...
i also hated him because as i STILL watch lil' kim morph into mj by cutting and bleaching herself just as mj did...i know biggie and tupac both made kim hate herself as the beautiful chocolate woman she once was naturally...
but i finally watched his biopic "notorious" just last night...and it revealed the desperation that MOST inner city thugs feel to make money LEGITIMATELY...even biggie...i hated him less after watching it...
even as nancy raegan said NO to drugs her hubby ronny was selling crack to blacks!!!
our kids have LESS to say YES to than ever before and hobama is slaying them more than ronny now!!!....his drug is not crack but ABJECT POVERTY/NO HOPE/NO CHANGE/NO BLACK AGENDA ETC...
shame!!!

Mellaneous,
Since you directly engaged me, I will answer your question. Firstly, a person shouldn't be demonized for how they feel about a particular subject. Just because some people were put off by what I wrote didn't excuse the vitriol that was thrown (and continues to be thrown) my way.
As to my beliefs, it is very clear from my comments in that thread that there is a major distinction between INNATE human rights and rights or privileges that are granted by states or locales. This seems to be a point of contention, but I don't understand why; I am telling what IS not what I would like to be.
If human beings are being denied their innate human rights, that is wrong and should be dealt with expeditiously. The Civil Rights struggle was necessary because we were denied BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS under the laws. We were also disenfranchised because we weren't able to vote in all places. If we were able to vote, we'd NEVER have voted in Jim Crow laws!
The situation in Mississippi is completely different. The majority of the STATE of Mississippi that is both BLACK and WHITE have defined what they deem socially appropriate according to their beliefs. These beliefs have been codified into law. No human in Mississippi that is eligible to vote can be denied the opportunity to vote due to skin color, sexual preferences etc. And it should be that way. Voting is a basic human right for adults of age in a democratic republic.
HOWEVER, marriage is not nor never has been considered a universal human right. At all. Societies and locales determine how marriage is defined according to what is practical, and according to the social mores of the area.
If a majority votes to take away a human right from a minority, that vote is null and void. But if the majority votes on what is deemed a privilege then we are stuck with what they voted.
Marriage is not a universal human right nor has it ever been. The definition of marriage is determined by the locales in which it is practiced. This has ALWAYS been the case!
This is why some people are prohibited from being married by the laws of their states. First cousins cannot get married in some states, for example. But this is not true for all states, pointing to a different view of marriage taboos in each of these places. NONE of the states allow siblings or half siblings to marry due to a societal taboo on incest.
Laws on privileges are set by what the majority of people think is good for the society.
In terms of the school in Mississippi, the administrators were in a tough position. Given the fact that VOTERS of that state determined that marriage is solely between a man and a woman, the mindset of the people is quite clear. If the officials had the dance and let the girl in with her girlfriend, the Christian and Family coalitions would have raised hell and likely sued.
(Continued)
If the officials had the dance and did not let the girl attend, then the ACLU would sue for discrimination. And here we are. The school district was in a rough spot and I think electing NOT to have the dance made the most sense out of a potentially volatile situation.
The girl has every right to protest and raise as much hell as she'd like. She can work with other homosexuals in Mississippi to raise consciousness on these issues. Protesting is the genesis of our country!
I just feel that voters rights should be respected and not taken away via judicial fiat. What is good in Nevada may not always be good in California and vise versa. The same applies to how locales define marriage.
My personal feeling is that the government doesn't need to be in the business of marriage in the first place. Consenting adults should be able to get together in whatever arrangement they see fit. And if that was the case, this conversation wouldn't be happening to begin with.
But when you live in a democratic republic sometimes you have to stomach the will of the majority even if it bothers you. I brought up the marijuana comparison in the thread a while ago and someone said it wasn't relevant. I beg to differ. Medical marijuana consumption is a PRIVILEGE voted in by the people of my state. I could not go to Alabama and get legal medical marijuana because the voters haven't voted it in. When in Rome...
AB,
Reading your rants makes coffee come out of my nose.
They're unintentionally funny.
Now, what should the CBC, President Obama, big city mayors and the black citizenry in general (particularly black suburbanites like myself) being doing about street crime that the police aren't already doing?
Steve - I give you credit for trying hard.
* Obama
* The CBC
* The Black Political Establishment
* The Democratic Establishment at all 3 runs of Government
* Large Portions of the Black Rank And File
ARE ALL COMPLICIT IN the situation that is at hand in the places that are troubled.
1) See all humans as EQUAL and treat them this way!! A White man shooting a Black kills them no more dead than when a Black man kills a Black. (I don't think that you believe this)
2) REMOVE all of the POLITICAL OPERATIVE SELLOUTS from the secret space of your "Racial/Community Consciousness". It is yet clear to you that there are some people who DON'T GIVE A DAMN about the situation? As long as the Pittsburg-Community in Atlanta votes favorably - they don't care that it is also one of the most crime plagued areas in the city. YOU and others have cultivated the people's dependency to such an extent that they are FEARFUL that if they were to hold the people that THEY have put into power accountable - these people might get angered and stop "helping" them.
They fail to see that this HELP is like a intravenous feeding back that is laced with depressants and psychosis causing drugs.
3) Build up INSTITUTIONS FOR GOVERNANCE that are TRANSPARENT!!! (This is what you resist most doggedly). I truly believe that if these communities were made STRONG but they refused to go along with your agenda - YOU would be longing for the days in which they were back as the Least Of These and acted their part. I believe that you and some other people would rather have these people be APPRECIATIVE of any crumb that you give to them rather than REFUSING you because you mean them no long term good in the way of their development of a consciousness about themselves.

Black Diaspora - my "put downs" are done to show my contempt for the THOUGHTS of some people.
If I were nicer this would not cause you to agree to the FRAMEWORK that I have documented. I did not create the framework. I made observations and captured them.
Notice I did not say that I needed you to AGREE with me. I need YOU and me to YIELD to a common framework as a means for both of us to be JUDGED as to our effectiveness.
Why should I respect anyone who shows over time that they are not RESPECT-ABLE (I am not necessarily saying you).
In fact I DON'T EVEN WANT TO BE THE JUDGE OF THIS.
I want us BOTH to yield to a common framework for all who have eyes TO JUDGE can see our respective worth IN REFERENCE TO A TRANSPARENT REFERENCE POINT.
I am not your enemy Black Diaspora.
HATRED and IGNORANCE and ILL-INTENT is YOUR enemy as it is MINE.
Ah, classic draptoresponsia. It's always "the other people's fault."
Destructive Wingnut,
Why do black defendants in drug convictions get 200% to 500% longer sentences than their white counterparts?
Why do resumes with black sounding names get 50% fewer callbacks versus whites with lower qualifications and even those with felony records?
The OFCCP has determined that 75% of companies it surveys routinely flout the basics of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, but they don't have the agents to do random inspections of these companies more than once per decade.
Since the vast majority of jobs in this country aren't advertised but are filled by word of mouth and contact networks, the old boys' network is just as salient as ever.
The brief period we had affirmative action saw some of these trends get reversed, with no evidence of inferior hires as a cost (not that that would be an sufficient argument against the program, mind you). How unsurprising that it got shot down.
In fact, just having a white sounding name is roughly equivalent to eight years of job experience for the black man.
I can go on and on. You can BELIEVE that there's no employment discrimination, but if you want to make that claim, you better damn well have the evidence for it, because the sociological data on the other side is rich and compelling for decades.
Wingnuts get particularly repellent when people allege that the big remaining employment discrimination is black-preferential. Yeah, so why are blacks routinely underrepresented? (You'll be interested to know that government contractors actually see pro-white de facto discrimination, according to virtually all the data, Wingnut). If they're still underrepresented even with such a leg up, it must be their incompetence, right? This is why people here have remained so hostile to your assertions: They lead logically to racist claims.
Destructive Wingnut, you are so simple.
You can't reply to even the basics of white privilege theory. You make distorted strawmen either completely unrelated to or actually diametrically opposed to the basic argument. That's why there's no need to "ask questions" or "read carefully": There's nothing there. You haven't said anything because you're not engaging. You are staying at the first, most basic level of the conversation. Most of the posters here have moved on to the next level.
Can you differentiate between prejudice (which all humans have) vs racism with its institutionalized balance of economic/social/political even narrative and linguistic power? Yet for some reason your debate on racism seems to often turn into "black/brown people are racist/criminally inclined/unable to police themselves too" diatribe, with you dredging up specific incidents as evidence.
But you never seem to point to one actual incident of racism. EVER.
Because if you do wingnut, your entire argument implodes from within. And you know it.
Being non-racist, to me, means NOT making excuses for other people's behavior, regardless of race. Everyone of all races/colors has reasons they might act out - everyone has been treated shabbily by someone at some time or other.
Our challenge - as humans, as members of society - is to overcome the adversity in our lives. To merely excuse someone because they are of a particular group as not being responsible for their actions is insulting to the group they belong to. And is antithetical to ending racism and racist ideas.
If you are going to respond with the same tired shit about ORGANIC theories and "street pirates", please don't.
We are fucking tired of it.... And you.

To the tune of the Amy Winehouse Song -- "You tried to make vote for Reform and the GOP said 'NO, NO, NO!!"
For CF and other Neo-cons -- how can you excuse threatening law makers? That has no place in uncivil discourse in modern politics. Also, if you don't like the legislation -- are you saying you LIKE our insurance system as it stands? Wow.
And for the lefties screaming against the bill because it doesn't go far enough and its not 'pure' -- please grown up. If this bill were the single payer/destroy the HMO system fell swoop many progs are looking for -- Capital Hill would probably be fired bomb by the Tea Party types.
Also, given how chicken-hearted half the Dems were over this watered down bill, it wouldn't have passed anyway.
There's also the fact that to pull the single payer overnight hat trick, you'd have to bankrupt and confiscate 1/6 of the economy overnight. That's usually a doomed disaster.
Frankly, we'd all be ticked off if none of us could see our doctor since for about 6-18 months, we probably won't be sure who the heck is paying the bill.
A public form of healthcare is coming, and sooner than the right wingers care to admit. We just have to work harder to get there with the ground work laid.
Check out the old man in N'ville, TN who rammed his SUV into the back of a van of a man taking his daughter home from school.
Apparently having an Obama bumper sticker is too outrageous for some folks to handle.

"If this bill were the single payer/destroy the HMO system fell swoop many progs are looking for -- Capital Hill would probably be fired bomb by the Tea Party types."
Ain't that the truth, LAC!
LAC, I don't know about single payer systems being sustainable in the long term. To be honest with you, I think we've reached the carrying capacity of our worn out health care structure(s).
If being healthy is a human right, then associating costs with being well puts us in an inherently contradictory position. Profit incentive and delivery of medical care should be exclusive of one another such that EVIDENCE BASED MEDICINE can tell us which medications are truly effective and so forth, not just the 'studies' performed by the pharmaceutical companies.
Not only will the financial underpinnings of the health care industry need to be reworked, so will the financial structures of our banking system. If these structural problems are not addressed, then anything else is just putting a band aid on the problem that is bound to rear its ugly head in time.

NO ONE who does NOT own a pharma corp/affiliate has ANY reason to cheer about hobamacare...unless they are mindless hobama nazis!
The White House met continuously in early 2009 with representatives of pharmaceutical companies, and insisted that their super-profits be protected. A former VP of WellPoint, one of the nation's top insurers was allowed to write large portions of the Senate version of the Obama bill. Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid handed the writing of its legislation over to a committee of senators who had more money from private insurers and Big Pharma than any of their fellows, and which gave its Republican members veto power over its final product.
To cover their own impotence, Democrats who had once supported single payer became outspoken advocates of a phantom policy called “the public option,” which polled well because it sounded something like universal health care or single payer, but never in fact existed. The president definitively stomped on their fake public option back in September 2009, when he said his version of it would only apply to fiver percent of the market at most, and was not essential to his proposal anyhow. House leaders balked a little, and corralled their members behind whatever the president wanted, and whatever the pea party fanatics declared they didn't want.
A much better health care bill could have been passed at mid-year 2009, and a less good, but still somewhat better one was possible at year's end. But the Obama administration was convinced that still more could be given to Big Insurance and Big Pharma, and so delayed the bill into 2010. Even as late as December a majority of Democratic senators were willing to pay lip service to the public option. For the Obama administration, that meant it was still too soon to pass its version of heath care.

You are obfuscating as is your wont. What I've found is that most people who have passions on this issue cannot rationally discuss it. They always bring up historical references that have little to do with the issue at hand. Let me ask you something:
How come two consenting adult siblings cannot marry? How come a father cannot marry his daughter if they are both of age and consenting?
How did these rule come to be and why?
I suspect you won't be able to rationally answer those questions because you'll be too busy frothing at the mouth.

"I think that you are bothered that I can DOCUMENT my permanent interests:"
Wrong!

Otherwise, you come across as an intellectual terrorists, and, at the very least, an ideological bully.

AB thanks for referencing my peeps at Black Agenda. They laid it out very clearly!
Oh and AB you are right on about the comparison of Biggie to Tupac. Amoral is a little harsh but folks have to face the fact that choosing to sell drugs knowing their devastating impact on the community if not amoral is skirting the edges.

No Maria it isn't baloney. Answer the questions I posed below. How come first cousins can get married in California but not in Alabama? Howe come father and daughter cannot marry? How can you reconcile the answers to these questions with your assertion that locales cannot determine how marriage is defined.
In rural Utah where some sects of Mormonism still practice polygamy, a man with three wives is perfectly acceptable in that locale and despite state laws to the contrary, marriage is PRACTICED in this way in those locations.
Yes, locales do determine how marriage is defined.

Yes Maria, if humans want to marry their children and define that as a human right, then by golly it's a human right because they said so! The slippery slope you invoke with that type of reasoning is rather steep.
I am by no means likening homosexuality to those who practice incest, but am noting that both have been sexual taboos.
How come parents cannot marry their children? Is that a societal bias against incest? Are we all incestphobics because that act is disgusting and we voted it into our laws?

you are so gd stupid u nullified that slur in advance by propping up pedophile polygamists as retarded legal prototypes
that happens a lot when schizos try to debate...one personality accidently nullifies the "points" of another etc...
assnons are psycho wannabee medical assts to psycho wannabee therapists and ALL of those psycho haters wannabee me.
it sucks to be blogless lifeless assnons!!!
How sad that the Alicia Banks Troll is so delusional. In its mind, it thinks it's literate, sane, attractive, and popular.
Tsk, tsk! Pity.
mrmoron:
sane people also know that legally married incestuous hets have more rights in more STATES than banned gays do u fool!!!!
NOW you are daring to quote MORE nonexistent laws to mask your nonexistent defenses of hatred as law as you conitinue to evade REAL historically legal school desegregation...
your fake weak "argument" is actually geting FAKER & WEAKER!!!!

* Solutions That Are Enduring & Comprehensive
* A Bias Toward ORGANIC Solutions that reside on the backs of the people who STAND TO BENEFIT and thus who must REORIENT themselves so that they might RECEIVE IT"
CF what is actually annoying is when folks try to engage you about these very important issues you begin to talk about black deficiency, not how we can solve the problems.
Or you begin to talk about black folks committing crimes against blacks.
BTW CF you also said:
"See all humans as EQUAL and treat them this way!! A White man shooting a Black kills them no more dead than when a Black man kills a Black. (I don't think that you believe this)"
You are the one who doesn't believe this whenever I talk about the death of innocent Iraqis or Afghanis at the hands of the US war machine you act like its no big deal.
Or if the police beat a black person nearly to death or if the police kills someone you act like its no big deal. And complain that we have the nerve to complain about it.
If we talk about as we do the myriad of injustices committed by the system against our brethren and sisters every day. You have only one answer and that is, 'Look at what some black person did wrong today' you almost always say.
As if to say that black violence justifies capitalist inspired injustices. As if black violence inspires white hatred.
You have history all messed up and upside down.
It is you that thinks a black person is more dead if a black person kills them.
MR, it's not a slippery slope except when you take it to an illogical extreme, like opponents of gay marriage do when they claim the next step is marriage with animals.
no, it's not. nor kids. NEXT!
Ha, ha! The cretinous sow thinks it is clever too! How cute!

oh please stop...i am not worthy!
your elongating lists of compliments flatters me so!
maria:
thank you!!!!
and she is only making my argument stronger...
ie incestuous het couples are legally married in many states that ban consenting gay strangers with 0 blood relation!!!
how stupid must a homohater be to offer that as evidence of human neutrailty and "regional" fairness in hate law???????
