The imperfect revolution.

And so the "Arab Spring" continues. In Syria, the tyrant Bashar Assad, continues to mercilessly crack down on his people. And, in Washington, Hillary and company continue to do a delicate dance: Disposing of a brutal dictator which could lead to unanticipated consequences, or allowing democracy and the will of the people to take hold.

The ouster of Assad could open the door for more extremist groups (see Yemen), and, believe it or not, could lead to more instability in the region. Syria is a country of mostly Sunnis being led by a Shias who is in the minority. If the Sunnis take control of the country they might suppress the minority Shias, which could lead to a conflict with their neighbors in Iraq. A neighboring country made up of mostly Shias. Are you confused yet?

Then there is the Israeli problem: Syria shared a  border with Israel at the Golan Heights region. Not good. Believe it or not, the man everyone loves to hate recently, has actually showed that he is a moderate when it comes to Israel and has shown a willingness to sign a peace agreement over the Golan Heights region. Who knows what will happen when real democracy takes hold?

I know one thing, Assad, like the other tyrants before him; will soon be gone as well. A-merry-cans can only watch so many images of innocent folks getting their heads bashed in on CNN before they start saying enough. The pressure is already on the Arab League to act and even Syria's other allies, such as Russia, are starting to waiver in their support. The world will not stand still while "massacres" occur in the Syrian countryside. If I were Bashar Assad I would be looking for a nice peaceful country to retire with the rest of my family.

Finally, I, like the rest of you, have been hearing the buzz about my girl Condi appearing on the republican ticket as a candidate for VP. As Robert Traynham wrote in the Philadelphia Tribune, it would be interesting.

"...Youthfulness, bona fide conservative credentials and diversity. Condi Rice, the first female African-American Secretary of State, brings diversity to the ticket and of course crackerjack foreign policy experience.

As I mentioned before, my money is on Mitt Romney becoming the next Republican nominee. His steadiness in the polls (yes, I know this has been a rollercoaster of a ride), his firm grasp of the issues that are demonstrated in the debates, and his ability to show considerable fundraising might compel me to believe that the primary race is still Romney’s to lose. His challenge will be whether or not he can convince conservative primary voters that he is not going to waffle on social issues if he wins the White House. Senator Rubio, as I have stated before, could be the reminder that conservatives may want in the White House; but Condi Rice could also serve in that role.

First, the drawbacks: Rice having never served in elected office, many Americans may think she is too inexperienced and naïve in the ways of the rough-and-tumble politics to actually assist Romney on the ticket.

The upside: Rice has always been and will continue to be an interesting public policy figure. She’s smart, engaging and unflappable. A debate between Rice and Biden would be must-watch television as each would be ready to better the other on hot-button issues such as North Korea, Pakistan, China and Cuba. Rice would also give African Americans a real clear choice as to which they want to represent them in the executive branch."

Calm down Robert, she would be running as the VP, not the HNIC. Besides, don't cross your fingers in anticipation of Flipper Mitt selecting the concert pianist with the shoe fetish just yet. We are still a long way from Tampa.

O man, how is that race neutral thing working out for you?

Folks, it's getting ugly out here. And I hate to say I told you so but....well, yeah, I told you so.
Want me to prove it? Let me put on my trial lawyer hat and give you some exhibits:

Exhibit number one:

This clown makes fun of the "O"man's big lips ( of course I will give you one guess which political party he belongs to) something about them being so big that you could float half of Cuba to the shores of Miami on it. In case you didn't notice, he is a leader of the college rethuglicans here in Pistolvania. Now I have a question: it seems that my man called MLK a "fraud" not too long ago. My question to my republican friends would be this: why was he still a leader in your party after the MLK slur? "In hindsight when you read it the second time it's like oops. It was just a dumb move on my part to make a statement like that in public." Nice. It was a dumb move because you said it "in public". Folks, can you imagine what these people are saying behind us in closed doors? Oh wait, I forgot, I saw the republican convention too, it doesn't have to be behind closed doors anymore.

Exhibit number two:

So a U.S. Congressman from the Third District of Georgia, calls the "O" man "uppity". Yes he did. Republican, Lynn Westmoreland, when speaking to a reporter, referred to his O ness as uppity. Do you believe that shit? Even after the reporter gave him a chance to retract his statement, the good ole boy stuck to his guns. Oh, did I mention that he was a republican? I didn't, but you already knew that now didn't you? I mean come on now, I know that they are the party of Lincoln and all, and I am sure that there are some good people under their tent, but......oh, did I mention that Mr. Westmoreland also voted against funding to open old civil rights cases under a bill named after Emmett Till ? What a guy. What a party?

Exhibit number three:

A radio talk show hosts goes off on a local columnist here in Philly, Fatimah Ali, and makes fun of her name; not her article, her name. Now I didn't agree entirely with Ms. Ali's article, because I don't think black folks (with the exception of a few Obamaholics of course) will necessarily lose their minds if the "O" man loses come November. Upset? Yes. To the point of rioting? No. And of course, everyone is forgetting that Ms. Ali said that there would be a "full fledged race, AND class war." But everyone seems to forgot about the "class" part. So thank you Mr. Quinn for confirming what I already knew about those of your ilk. Oh, and did I mention that he is a right wing republican?

Exhibit Number four:

I promise this will be my final exhibit, and then I will rest my case. This one isn't directly related to the "O" man, but please read the comments after this article about my new girlfriend, Condi. Condi happens to be a republican, but I think that she is even starting to think that when it comes time to choose up sides, she just might want to be in another tent besides the one with the elephant logo on it. Just a thought. I know there are some black folks among us who hate themselves so much, that being under that tent wouldn't be as hard as it is for the rest of us. But in spite of her frat boy jones, Condi doesn't strike me as one of them. But you never know, because the last time I checked, Condi was a republican.
I could go on (it's like shooting fish in a barrel), but I will spare you. Besides, you have seen and heard it all before from these folks (the republicans). But hang in there, just a couple of months to go before election day. And then my friends, it will be have a coke and a smile time in A-merry-ca all over again. At least until the next time that race matters.

Condi, we need to talk.

While we enjoy the guts and athleticism of our swimmers in the Olympics, and we obsess over where the Breck Boy is sticking his johnson; the world, as we know it, is going to hell in a freaking hand basket.

Many of you poo pooed my recent post about my Condi jones, and you said that I was being flip about my desire to...well, swing an episode with her. But imagine if Mrs. Field had given me permission, and I had been allowed to...well, get to know her better.

Can you imagine the opportunity your humble field Negro would have had to influence world affairs? While pillow talking with Condi , for instance, I would have had an opportunity to give her my humble opinion about her boss and what a colossal fuck up he has been.

For instance, now that the Russians have destroyed the A-merry-can trained Georgian army, and pretty much pimp slapped that entire country, has it ever occurred to your boss that none of this would have happened if the neocons in his administration had kept their damn ambitions in check? While they were busy planning their grand scheme to conquer the Middle East, they forgot that a former *KGB(thanks ac.nerd) agent was leading an increasingly more powerful and proud mother Russia into a new century.

So now our military is tied down in Iraq and Afghanistan, and all the frat boy can do is plead with Putin to pull back his troops. Too late, the red army is hell bent on putting an ass whopping on President Saakashvili's troops, and they will not stop until there is total humiliation, surrender, and regime change. You know Condi, kind of like what we did in Iraq. But field, this is different, this was a sovereign nation with a democratically elected leader. Really? But so was Iraq. And although their leader wasn't "democratically elected", quite a large segment of their population was fine with the job he was doing. Besides, I thought we went into Iraq to prevent them from attacking us with WMD's?

And didn't the Russians go into Georgia because the Georgians attacked one of their states (South Ossetia) which wanted to align themselves with Russia? Don't most of those people in that state consider themselves Russians? If that's the case, couldn't we argue, that Putin, in essence, was coming to the defense of his own people?

So what are we going to do now? The Russians have flexed their muscles, and all we can do is watch. Oh your boss, the frat boy, will make his usual pronouncements condemning what the Russians did; but so what? Putin will just continue doing what he has been doing for the past few days: shaking his dick at us, and giving us his ass to kiss. (Still think you can see into his soul now frat boy?) Putin might be a lot of things, but he isn't stupid.

And Condi, I hear that you yourself had a heated phone conversation with the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, after he told you that the Georgian President must go. Then the Russian Ambassador, Vitaly Churkin, said this to our Ambassador: "I'd like to say straightaway that regime change is an American expression....We do not use such expression". See what a mess the frat boy put you in Condi? See how he tied your hand? You can't even do your job anymore. And to think you have a doctorate in this shit.

"Russia has invaded a sovereign neighboring state and threatens a democratic government elected by its people. Such an action is unacceptable in the 21st century.. The Russian government must reverse the course it appears to be on and accept this peace agreement as a first step toward solving this conflict,..."

Yeah whatever frat boy. And somewhere down in a very hot place called hell, a man with a thick mustache and a funny beret is laughing his ass off.

My Condi jones.

Well I will be damned. It seems that Condi is human after all. Now comes word that she has a crush on the brotha that most sisters (Including Mrs. Field) from California to Maine are feeling. I must admit, that it is kind of nice to know that Condi has feelings after all. Honestly, I was starting to wonder about her. Man or woman, it really wouldn't matter to me, but I wanted to see my Secretary of State with somebody, anybody. And all you people with these rumors about Condi and the frat boy need to quit it right now. You have no proof or evidence of this. You are all just making all of this lecherous and salacious shit up. And it's not fair. It's not fair to Condi. It's not fair to George. And it is not fair to Laura....

I did hear of a certain gentleman from North of the border who she was seeing some time back. But I guess nothing came of that. I wonder if the fact that she doesn't have a significant other affected her chances of being selected as a running mate for Mr. Morton?

Hey, am I the only brotha who finds Condi somewhat attractive? Maybe it's all that power. Or her smarts ( I love a smart woman). Or the way she wore the hell out of those black high top boots. Field this is so sexist, would you be blogging about who Condi has a crush on, or her sex life if she was a man? Hmmmm, let me think about that for a minute....No!

Now I don't agree with her politics, and you all know how I feel about her boss. But as the frat boy's hegemonic reign comes closer to an end, I find myself feeling Madame Secretary more and more. I want to see her with a significant other. Someone who makes her happy. I want her to get her freak on whenever she feels like it, and wake up with a smile on her face every morning. I know I know, there is something sick about this. And honestly, I can't explain it either. The woman should be tried for war crimes with the rest of the frat boy's minions, and here I am wishing that she finds sexual satisfaction, and wondering what her, ahem, diplomacy skills would be like in a more, ahem, intimate setting. (Fellows is something wrong with me?) This might seem trivial but it's serious business. Think how much more lucid the person calling the shots for our state department would be if she was....well, you know, getting some.

Hi Condi, it's me, Denzel. I was wondering if you would like to do lunch sometime? Come on Denzel, now that you know how she feels about you, take one for the Republic; make the call.

The Real Threat!

It's 11:45 Sunday night and the field can't sleep or concentrate on his work. Why? Well it seems the world is this close [that's my two fingers inches apart from each other] to becoming one large microwave oven. Yes folks, my man Kim Jong Crazy looks like he did test that nuke of his, and in essence, has shook his d&*&k at the United States and the rest of the Western World. Now I see on CNN where some South Korean Ambassador is threatening economic sanctions against Kim Crazy and his crew. Like what good is that going to do? The people there are already starving, and unless you are a soldier in that country, you damn near only eat one meal a day anyway. I guess the Chinese stepping in to try to stop Kim Jong Crazy at the last minute didn't help either huh.

Folks, we all know what a mess frat boy made of the Middle East, but this will go down as the biggest foreign policy blunder of his reign, and probably of any President in American History. Yes even greater than LBJ and his failed effort in Vietnam. Because if this whack job in North Korea really has nuclear capabilities at his finger tips, there is no telling what type of damage he can do. I know hind site is 20/20, but Condi ,frat boy, and the crew should have joined those talks with Japan, South Korea, and North Korea. Or at the very least, unilaterally engaged them. Isn't it funny how we went after Saddam unilaterally, but we insist on a multilateral approach with North Korea? We should have shown some good faith, and let Kim Jong Crazy know that it's not personal, but the world just can't afford another nuclear power right now. I mean it's bad enough that we have India, Pakistan, and possibly Iran, packing the ultimate weapon. But to have North Korea join this little party...well let's just say the field doesn't sleep as well at nights knowing of those prospects.

I hate to beat a dead horse, well f%^k it, I am going to beat him anyway. If frat boy had not declared North Korea a part of the axis of evil, and damn near declared to the world that the North Koreans are our enemy, maybe we wouldn't be having to worry about Kim firing underground nukes with the capabilities of destroying 200,000 people. And if you are going to make those statements frat boy, you had better know how to back them up, and not commit our military and it's resources to the Middle East to take down mustache man. If we are going to accuse the North Koreans like we did in 2002 of violating their 1994 agreement with us by enriching uranium to weapons grade, then we had better be damn sure they did. Now, given the lies that we were told about Iraq, I am not even so sure that Pyongyang did violate the terms of that 1994 agreement between them and Washington. Yes, frat boy said they did, and we all know how reliable his administration has become. He said they had WMD's in Iraq too.

Now I am not totally absolving Bubba for this mess either. In 1991 North Korea set up an economic zone with the South, and wanted to move forward with more progressive economic policies. In my humble opinion, the Clinton administration did not do enough to facilitate this and were a little short sighted in how they handled North Korea. After the fall of the Soviet Union more should have been done to bring North Korea in line economically with other countries. Instead, we let China play the big benefactor, and they damn near controlled little brother North Korea, by being their sole supporter and provider of military equipment, and trade. But the real blame for the mess we are in lies with frat boy. I mean Stevie Wonder could see that Kim Crazy had his back to the wall. After the United States and her allies stopped sending him oil, and basically cut him off economically, just what did we expect him to do, but play the only trump card he has? Which is the threat of a nuclear weapon against mankind, and any nation that can supply him with food and energy.

Hey, it's been all down hill for our palls from the North ever since the division of the Korean Peninsula in 1945, and they look at their brothers to the South, and there is envy. I can't say that I blame them either. The South is booming, and the North is starving, and all that they-the North- has to maintain their pride is their military. A smart diplomat would have seen that, and a smart President would have recognized that the real threat to our security, is not the crazy man in Baghdad with the beard, but the short little man in Pyongyang with the f^&*%d up haircut.

So here we are folks, on the verge of World War III. Serious this time; not some made up neo con war. This time, because the stakes are so high for the North Koreans, their people are starving, and their backs are to the wall, we could be in for some serious s#^*t. Let's hope the Chinese step in and talk some sense into that little mini me looking psycho. Because lord knows we can't depend on Condi and her crew to do it. She is too busy flying in and out Bushdad, and trying to make sure frat boy's faux war on terror remains front and center. This of course is essential to get the rethuglicans elected to the majority again in November.

Here is hoping that by the time I wake up tomorrow, the report on CNN will have been proven to be false, and Kim didn't test fire that nuclear missile after all. But somehow, the field doesn't have a good feeling about this. You know what, I think I will sleep in my basement tonight. I wonder where Condi is sleeping right about now? Wherever it is, I hope her phone works.

The Field Rants About The News

There are times when the field wishes he couldn't read. And honestly folks, we are living in such a time. Anyway, I sucked it up and took a quick look at my local paper today, and I almost wish I hadn't.

First of all, I want to talk about this shooting in Amish country which is no more than about a forty five minute drive from the field's home. Now folks, let's make no mistake about this; the SOB that executed those five little girls was one sick f%&^. And although the field does not believe in the death penalty, this guy makes it real hard for me to stay true to my convictions. What makes this even more tragic, is the fact that these poor girls belonged to sect of some of the most peaceful people on earth. I watch them three days a week at my favorite lunch spot in Philly- The Reading Terminal-with their baked goods and other culinary delights, and I gotta tell you, if I didn't know better, I would swear these folks have some black in em, cause they can cook some food. [They have this pie called "shoo fly" which is to die for]So I am seriously pissed about what happened to them, and how they were forced to be thrust into the national spotlight due to no fault of their own. Then some of the neighbors of this sicko that committed these heinous acts, tried to say that he was always a good God fearing man, and he had a wonderful family, and he loved his children, and blah blah blah. He is a sick f$*& that deserved to have gone to prison and met the inmate justice that Bubba and his friends would have meted out. But the coward took the easy way out, and thus gets no sympathy from the field negro.

And speaking of murdering little girls; so this animal in Kentucky does a copy cat move and takes out four little children in his own family. What is the world coming to? And while I feel sorry for the Amish kids and what they went through, why have I not heard the outcry about this killing that I did about them? No President Bush personally offering his condolences no Governor of Kentucky offering his. No lead story on all the national news and cable outlets. You could argue, I suppose, that these shootings did not take place in a school, and given the fact that this happened to the Amish, makes it more intriguing. But you know what the field thinks about the difference between a black life and a white life in this country, so we will leave it at that.

I see where Iraq is going to hell in a hand basket. So what else is new? The battle for Bushdad rages on, with no end in sight. And in the mean time, the violence is escalating in Afghanistan, and we can't get a handle on that either, because our focus is elsewhere. So now the Taliban is making a come back, frat boy's own intelligence estimates say terrorism is on the rise, and there are still people in this country who support our mess of a Middle East policy, and this ridiculous pointless war.

So not only do I want Rove to resign, I want Condi, Dick "dead eye" Cheyney,Donald Rumsfeld, and even frat boy to do a Richard Nixon, get on Air Force One, and ride off into the sunset. But I know that won't happen, so for now, I can only hope that the dems take the house or the senate back. At least they might be able to put a real check and balance on King Georges ass.

I see the North Koreans are at it again, yes folks this time they want to test fire a nuclear weapon, and the U.N. is all but powerless to stop them. What about the most powerful nation on earth stepping in and stopping them you say. What about it? Condi has a better chance of marrying Oprah's man than Kim Jong il listening to a word her perm needing ass says. And that stands for every other country in the free world. The only people Kim Jong Crazy will listen to are the Chinese, and since they are enjoying watching him shake his di*k at the West; don't hold your breath for them to step in any side soon. Heck, shots were even fired earlier today across the DMZ, as it seems one of the North Korean soldiers might have wondered over a little too far on his cigarette break, and one of our South Korean friends let him know about it. So you see folks, things are not only f*&%d up in the MIddle East, they are pretty much f%&*&d up all over the world as well.

On the home front, things aren't much better. Over 300 murders and counting in the "city of brotherly love". Right now we ain't looking too loving, because we are capping each other more than they do bottles in coke factory. And of course, our sorry ass, clueless police chief, continues to sit on his ass, and our mayor-who by the way has done a pretty good job-continues to let this clown stay in office. One future mayoral candidate-Michael Nutter- has called for the Mayor to declare a state of emergency in certain high crime areas, and I must say that I agree with him. We need some new drastic measures in place, because the status quo ain't working. And this is coming from someone who actually has found himself defending people who have been accused of committing some of these crimes from time to time. But if it means my job will be a little harder , so be it,we need to do something.

Mmmm what else? Oh Foleygate, you know what, I am Folyed out. I am not even going to comment on this crap anymore. Anyone with half a brain can see what was going on here, and should be able to see the cover up for what it was. Are there any slimier, more disingenuous people than the politriksters in Washington? I don't think so, and my only regret is that I have but one vote to give. Because if I were allowed multiple votes, I would be heading back to that voting booth line more than a kid at a roller coaster ride at Six Flags. Trust me, I want those bums in Washington out so bad, that it's almost become like an obsession with me. Yep, the field is going to be working extra hard this November.

Finally, I want to say happy trails to Buck O'Niel, who passed away at the ripe old age of 94, and who didn't get to go into the baseball hall of fame by just one vote. All because some ignorant ass, sorry excuse for a baseball writer didn't vote for him. But don't worry Buck, you are in our hall of fame, and like all the other great players who toiled in the negro leagues, but who didn't get to the show, you will always have a special place in the field's heart.

The field is out!
