"SURVIVOR" Port Au Prince?

"Them belly full, but we hungry;A hungry mob is a angry mob. A rain a fall, but the dirt it tough; A pot cook, but the food no nough."

As we listen to accounts from various A-merry-can newscasts and read newspapers telling us of the specter of mob violence hanging over Haiti. And as we hear the shocking stories of medical workers fleeing and leaving patients to die because they fear for their lives. Please take some time to reflect on the lyrics of St. Ann Parish's finest son, one Robert Nester Marley. Yes my friends, hungry mobs tend to get angry.

Oh but field, why can't they wait and be orderly like we would be here in A-merry-ca? Just because they haven't eaten in four days? Come on field, do you ever watch Survivor? Do you see how long those people go without food? You don't see them bum rushing the host- Jeff Probst- now do you field? That's because they are civilized, field. They are A-merry-cans.

But seriously, when I see these newscast and listen to folks in this blog focus on the potential violence in Haiti in makes sick to my stomach. Like honestly, can we really put ourselves in their position? I am so glad that here in A-merry-ca we have a brand new reality series to focus on to take our minds off Paris and Kate for a few more weeks. Let's just call it "How Long Can They Last In Haiti Before They Start Killing Each Other? I am surprised that some of these news outlets aren't selling spaces for sponsors. Think about it; a nice logo on the bottom of one of those helicopters for Snickers Bars. Or, have the hosts wear sponsored patches on their shirts like they do in soccer and golf. Just imagine Geraldo helping the rescuers try to dig out one of those poor Haitians from under the rubble of some building, and all the while that Home Depot logo is front and center on his sleeve. Talk about a "money shot".

Anyway, it was nice to see his O ness get 42 and 43 involved in the fund raising efforts for our brothers and sisters in Haiti. Those two guys can raise some serious cash. I would love to have just a page out of each of their rolodexes. Hey Billy Bob, it's me, George. Listen, do you have about a million to spare? Thank you, I really appreciate it. Go get em Bubba and George.

Finally, be careful where you send your money ,folks. Various law enforcement agencies are tracking some scam artist out there. There is nothing quite like a little crises to get some folks thinking how they can profit from it. That, of course, includes certain news outlets.

Grinder, Grinder, my my! "So tell me, steve, did the Brits and the French force your favorite African dictators to practice cannibalism too?"

Oh, you are feeling it here, aren't you? This is an all-time low even for you, grinder.

Wow, we're getting to you, aren't we?

Whites aren't repelled by human flesh, you know. The Donner Party had no problem feasting on a little human flesh, and there have been many other whites so inclined throughout our long history.

Your colors are showing, grinder. It's a white flag, and don't think it's for surrender, but for that 'R' word.

Shame. Shame on you! We darkies are the only entertainment you can afford?

"You miss the point: Blacks have NEVER had the power to do any of those things.

The Europeans did do all those things. They also created the Renaissance, democracy, modern science, pioneered space, wrote wonderful operas, created the fabulous architecture of Europe. Blacks didn't do any of those things either."

And you think that that makes up for all the other stuff?

Keep it, and the bombs that grew out of all that technological zeal.

No, I don't think I missed the point. The point is too painfully obvious.

Whites now have the means to destroy us all. And those paintings, music, and architectural wonders that you're so proud of--well they can be reduced to dust, and rubble, with just one push of a button.

I think we could have done without whites supposed marvels, if it meant being spared the development of such a deadly power that could virtually destroy the world, and all that live on it.

What would you trade for that?

Race Traitoress said...

Race Traitoress is a joke. Her "shame" at being white is a complete act. It's a pathology. Being sympathetic with black people, and in fact being partnered with black people, and having black or mixed race kids, is one thing. To tell people that you're ashamed of being white is pathology.

Okay, make up your mind. Is it an act or a pathology? Let's go with pathology. So it's a mental abnormality for me to be, as I said, "ashamed of the desperate measures "my people" (and I say that entirely tongue-in-cheek) will go to to protect their unearned privilege and to vilify those with darker skin."

I guess the healthy response would be to be proud of my whiteness, eh? You sure you want to go down the path of white pride?

News flash, grinder. "Whiteness" isn't a culture or anything of which to be proud. Sure, there's Irish culture, and Italian culture, Mexican culture, and African American culture. But there's no "white culture." The only purpose of identifying as "white" is to identify with the world's oppressors.

Well, if you could do without electricity, the polio vaccine, democracy, the internal combustion engine, air travel, physics, biology, the theory of evolution, modern psychology, etc. etc. then that's fine. I for one will take them.

Unless you find a way to add melanin to your skin, no matter where you go, people will view you as white. The "Before the Mayflowers" of the world will see you as a living represenative of evil-all without even knowing you. So you can identify with the opressed, but many will still view you as the opressor.

Yeah, there's no violence problem in Haiti now. Nope, not at all. Nothing to see here!

Looks like they are raising the death projections for Haiti. Now 200,000 dead is a "starting point." For a magnitude 7.0 quake. Yeah, let's get the Africans in there to fix this. After all, they've done such a great job. Mugabe, anyone?

You call that progress? What did all that get us: Two World Wars, and three, counting Viet Nam.

And what else: Hitler, using the "theory of evolution" to bolsters his own theories of racial superiority, brutish experiments on people, eugenics, germ, and chemical warfare.

Yeah, the world needed all that. How could we have lived with out those medical advances, and technological wizardry?

You know: the world existed for thousands of years before the invention of electricity, "polio vaccine, democracy, the internal combustion engine, air travel, physics, biology, the theory of evolution, modern psychology, etc. etc."

And thanks to whites, and we-can't-live-without-these technological advances, we may not get to live at all. Global warming, possibly more a man-made event, and not cyclical, may decimate large populations long before some power-mad white decides to push the doomsday button.

Don't presume to speak for me.

You can barely maintain a cogent position of your own that's representative of your beliefs.

I can still hear that glee in your voice.

The boys down at the pub would be proud of you. This has got to be your finest hour?

What hateful words? What's stupid words?

The facts? the truth?

You want me to believe there's a moratorium on facts? On the truth?

When they don't suit you, when they don't support your own bias, when they don't paint whites in a flattering light, then my words are hateful and stupid.

You, too, are a credit to your race!

You're absolutely right. Many will. And many "whites" will assume I'm part of their crowd, and will tell those little stories and jokes that they'd never tell in "mixed company." That opens a door of opportunity for me, and it's a test of my commitment to step through that door.

But once you've called your own father out for racist commentary (of course, he doesn't think he's racist) the rest is relatively easy.

I'm not ashamed of the pinkish hue of my skin (though I've never found it particularly attractive), I'm ashamed of a mindset that believes that somehow "my people" are inherently superior and that our pale skin is a marker for that. Or conversely, and worse still, in my estimation, a mindset that believes that those with progressively darker skin are progressively inferior. That mindset is as close as we get to "white culture," and that's what I'm ashamed to benefit from.

Do you think that Blacks haven't contributed anything significant to this world when you said this, "Blacks didn't do any of those things either." Therefore, let me highlight a few of their achievements:

Mark Dean led the team of IBM scientists that developed the ISA bus—a device that enabled computer components to communicate with each other rapidly, which made personal computers fast and efficient for the first time. Dean also led the design team responsible for creating the first one-gigahertz computer processor chip. He was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 1997.

Born free in Maryland, Banneker was largely self-taught. He constructed the first striking clock to be made in America, helped survey the boundaries for Washington, D.C., and published an almanac, which he compiled based on his own astronomical observations and calculations.

Dr. Daniel Hale Williams attended medical school in Chicago, where he received his M.D. He founded the Provident Hospital in Chicago in, and he performed the first successful open heart surgery in 1893.

Charles Henry Turner native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Turner received a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Cincinnati and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. A noted authority on the behavior of insects, he was the first researcher to prove that insects can hear.

Ernest Everett Just originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Just attended Dartmouth College and the University of Chicago, where he earned a Ph.D. in zoology in 1916. Just's work on cell biology took him to marine laboratories in the U.S. and Europe and led him to publish more than 50 papers.

Archibald Alexander While working for an engineering firm, he designed the Tidal Basin Bridge in Washington, D.C. Later he formed his own company, designing Whitehurst Freeway in Washington, D.C. and an airfield in Tuskegee, Alabama, among other projects.

Percy L. Julian most famous achievement is his synthesis of cortisone, which is used to treat arthritis and other inflammatory diseases.

Dr. Charles Richard Drew earned advanced degrees in medicine and surgery from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, from Columbia University. He is particularly noted for his research in blood plasma and for setting up the first blood bank.

Emmett Chappelle earned a B.S. from the University of California and an M.S. from the University of Washington. He joined NASA as a remote sensing scientist. Among Chappelle's discoveries is a method (developed with Grace Picciolo) of instantly detecting bacteria in water, which led to the improved diagnoses of urinary tract infections.

Lewis Howard Latimerlearned mechanical drawing while working for a Boston patent attorney. He later invented an electric lamp and a carbon filament for light bulbs (patented 1881, 1882). Latimer was the only African-American member of Thomas Edison's engineering laboratory.

Garrett Augustus Morgan invented a gas mask that was used to protect soldiers from chlorine fumes during World War I.

Frederick McKinley Jones invented a self-starting gas engine and a series of devices for movie projectors. More importantly, he invented the first automatic refrigeration system for long-haul trucks. Jones was awarded more than 40 patents in the field of refrigeration.

Patricia Bath best known for her invention of the Laserphaco Probe for the treatment of cataracts.

I can also highlight things that the Asias, Hispanics, Eastern India, Arabs, Iranians, Native Americans, Philipeano(spelling?) and other human beings on this planet earth have contributed something of significance too. But they not going around tooting their horn bragging on it.

Whites have not been the only race of people that have contributed to this planet and that if it somehow wasn't for them all others would somehow vanish from the face of the earth.

Haiti's problems are why the death toll from a magnitude 7.0 earthquake will be more than 100,000. But you are so fucking defensive that you're don't want to hear the truth, even though it's why these people who you supposedly care so much about are dead.

Spare me your righteous anger, you ignorant piece of shit. You couldn't possibl ever care less about human life than you do right now.
*PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

I have stated plainly in my ansswer that relatives and friends that I know have diedQ@!! Which is whhy I have every right to be angry! You are a racist and I can't even finish typing my response. So FUCK YOU GRINDER

Race Traitoress, your humanity fills me with hope for the human race.

I jab with grinder just to see how far he'll carry his premise of white preeminence. Alas, he's hopeless. But he goes viral on this blog pushing his doctrine of white exceptionalism. This is not a good time for that, with so many Haitians dead. Other times, I might have tolerated his sanctimony. But today is not one of them.

Granny, God bless you. I'm glad you took the time to make a case for black achievements. But I'm afraid it may have been lost on your intended target. But, then, you never can tell.

I'm told "spaceship earth" is becoming too crowded. Now I wonder what group of people they have in mind to eliminate, if that is so?

Dark Moon, I'm sorry for your lost. You have spoken eloquently on the issues, and I apologize for those whose words have caused you to make several targeted responses. Those words were callous, and unnecessary.

If they even exist, I doubt you give a shit about them. For you, this is all about your posturing.

Dark Moon said...

Right. Like you haven't postured on the fallibility and inferiority of Black people ad nausea on this site. Like your some lone gunman having to protect the interests of White people do to all the bad black people that drag your race through the mud.

They do exist and it is insult to their memory that I dragged them through this public forum, but they do. I'll be more than happy to relay my brother in law's INS number and name before he was transferred to Krome and then Deported to Haiti last year. I'll be sure to tell my niece that he is just a phantom even though there is physical evidence to the contrary. I can provide a phone number and you can call her directly and tell her that her father doesn’t exist and I am just posturing. I have the names of the 3 people that I know that lived and worked in Port Au Prince, but that wouldn't be good enough for you.

You sicken me on a quantum level and I am sorry that you continue to pollute this blog with your callousness and voluminous bile.

I can't do this anymore. I just can't keep respnding to someone who is so obviously inhuman. I'm out.

grinder said...

@ Dark Moon, you seem to think that to criticize some blacks, and/or to take note of obvious issues, is to condemn all of them.

I am constantly accused of vile racism here, but I never generalize my comments to all black people nor do I internally think that way. Lots of people here can't see the difference, or at least they posture that way.

Stunning.
Ernesto - you are at your best when I get you to expose yourself in this manner.

In your world view - CUBA is the reference model for humanity.

The United States - YOUR HOME NATION - is the epitome of squandered human potential due to greed.

Can you detail for me YOUR PROOF that "The United States was not able to take care of its people after Hurricane Katrina"?

Please detail the IN DEPTH information that you have, per the "Open Records Act" that the CUBAN GOVERNMENT has afforded you in regards to their humanitarian operations?

I realize that inside of you, Ernesto, is a "hurt little boy" who must strike out against the authority figure before him. You don't say these things to HURT them. Your hope that in your attacks that you might have your way.

"White Europeans did that little number on blacks. And please spare me another history lesson. I know some blacks in Africa in some cases facilitated this raping of Africa. No demand for elephant tusks by the east and the west, no destruction of elephant herds. Get the picture?"

I get the picture, I'm aware of the politics there. And Africa has been screwed by various European nations, Im not glossing over that. If you want my opinion on what needs to be done about that, I'll gladly give it to you. But my point was that all human beings in all groups are capable of both good and evil. And race is a fairly recent social construct and identities of black/white are not some universal truth. Trust me, I would know.

"I hold whites responsible for Haiti. Who do you hold responsible? You're the historian here. Do you think Haiti happened over night. Haiti was decades in the making."

For Haitis economic mess: a large portion of the blame goes to the French Empire and the modern French government. A significant portion goes to the IMF and other mainly western imperialistic organizations. (Since we both live in the west, if I used your logic, that would also include you and I). And another portion yet a smaller one again goes to corrupt leaders.

CF-

"Can you detail for me YOUR PROOF that "The United States was not able to take care of its people after Hurricane Katrina"?"

you're kidding me right?
