Operating from a "fact-free environment".

Image result for facts lies trump imagesThe hypocrisy and lies that come from our president- elect is stunning.

Do you remember when he accused president Obama of skipping too many intelligence briefings?

Me too. And yet....

"Trump told Chris Wallace today, 'I don’t have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years… I don’t need that. But I do say if something should change, let us know.”'

Someone should tell Mr trump that the world is always changing, and that he will need to be updated "every single day",while he happens to be the leader of the (so called) free part of that world. (I am not sure about the next eight years part, though.) Anyway, I hope that these words don't come back to haunt him when we are faced with terror under his watch.

Then there is his lying. Carl Bernstein, a man who, thanks to Watergate, knows a thing or two about lying American presidents, had this to say:

“Trump lives and thrives in a fact-free environment. No president, including Richard Nixon, has been so ignorant of fact and disdains fact in the way that this president-elect does.”

He linked this to a “growing sense of authoritarianism” from Trump and his campaign, but Jeff Lord shot back by bringing up liberal bias in fact-checking and pointing to Hillary Clinton initially blaming Benghazi on a video.

The segment continued with everyone talking about Trump’s tweets, and Kelly McBride said the press should assume there is a strategy behind his tweeting. But Bernstein ended up circling back to the Nixon comparison:

“We now have a president-elect who, in terms of truthfulness––Richard Nixon was nothing, in terms of lying, compared to what we have seen from Donald Trump.” [Source]

Yes, trump has indeed broken every fact-checking machine known to man. At this point you can't even fact check him anymore, because damn near everything he says is a lie.

If you don't believe me check out the following quotes:

"I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down. And I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down. Thousands of people were cheering."

"(Obama) doesn't have a birth certificate. He may have one, but there's something on that, maybe religion, maybe it says he is a Muslim. I don't know. Maybe he doesn't want that."

“An 'extremely credible source' has called my office and told me that @BarackObama's birth certificate is a fraud.”

The first time there is a major crisis in this country and this guy steps to the lectern and says, "My fellow Americans", it will be time for us all to worry. Hey I don't know about the rest of you, but because of his history and his mental makeup, I am not going to believe a word that he says,

Numerous reports corroborate the fact that yes, Muslims in Jersey City were cheering the destruction of the World Trade Center:

Barack Obama refused to release his birth certificate for four years. He obviously had something to hide (probaly who his real daddy was). The document that was eventually released was not the original and could easily have been altered. Throw in the fact that Obama's passport records were stolen by a contract worker for a company that was headed by John Brennan, the same John Brennan who later became assistant to the president and deputy national security adviser for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism and then eventually Director of the CIA, and you have a strong case that Obama is not who he says he is.

It's too late to lament Trump's Psychopathology because his supporters appropriately have a "Nothing-to-lose" mentality and couldn't care less.

It's simply too late for those who have given Barack a pass through both of his terms and were NOT politically savvy enough to know that Barack was a Vichy-esque, Manchurian Candidate Puppet reTHUGlican POTUS whose primary job was to protect his cousins-predecessors (Obama is 8th cousin to Cheney and 10th cousin to Dubya Bush - FactCheck.org) from Special Investigation into the TREASONOUS run up to the Iraq War.

When one remembers that Dubya introduced us to then-Senator Obama via touring Hurricane Katrina-ravished New Orleans in '05, its clear that Obama's job was to administer a "Caretaker" administration whose job was to deliberately torpedo the democrat party, which he did.

Heck, Obama - by revealing his long form Birth Certificate - not only validated his own belief in Trump's racism (that his Mom & grandparents dutifully instilled within him in sheepdog fashion, and Obama's craven desire to get a second term by bowing to Trump's racism gave Trump the appearance of being someone who gets things done. Long story short, the reTHUGlicans get there many when Trump, the mule, picked Pence.

Long story short, expendable Trump will prove nothing more than a mule for the reTHUGlican establishment and they, the reTHUGlican establishment, then, will in have been in control of America since the Scalia-led SCOTUS appointed them in 2000. All because their demographic is dwindling and this election, judging by the preliminary results in voter irregularities in Detroit, will be one of the last ones that they, the reTHUGlicans, can steal. Regardless, the neoliberal dems unwittingly brought this all upon America for their silence as Obama imposed austerity and did, as Trump accurately stated, absolutely NOTHING for Blacks as well as NOTHING for the poor and middle class "whites"---especially those millennials who chose Trump over Hillary.

There will be a point when those have voted for Trump that the train comes short at arriving at the station. He's not interested in the welfare of this country or its people. Trump doesn't care about anyone but himself. If a person didn't give him money for his campaign, then he or she isn't getting a post in his administration. It's amazing how he can just lie in the same sentence while speaking. He doesn't have an ideology or any strong beliefs because he's like really smart. We have a toddler who going to take the oath of office in a month. I don't trust anyone who doesn't believe in nothing because that person will fall for anything. Buckle up because I don't believe Trump will not change anything that will benefit the American people. If he is thinking of Pruitt being Labor Secretary, don't be surprised if we see more job being automated because it's cheaper than moving a factory overseas (with the exception of sewing clothes or other jobs that require manual labor).

Fittingly enough, the only people who buy this hogwash smear hit-campaign shit are people inside of your echo chamber, your invented universe. And as the election of Trump illustrated, that chamber is shrinking.

Pretty soon, I predict, y'all will be turning on each other and administering purity tests. What other option will you have? These posts stand out as complete nonsense to every single person on the planet save those already indoctrinated with your worldview.

There's really nowhere left to go...

"...don't be surprised if we see more job [sic] being automated..."

We'll only see this if government decides to artificially prop up the minimum wage again. You cannot centrally plan an entire economy. Just ask every single inner city in America that's under majority black Democratic rule. It's impossible. You cannot organize an economy like a BLM protest.

Yeah, we definitely need to watch out. Why is the guy lying so much? Is he trying to desensitize us to lies? If so what is the end game? Why is he appointing so many generals? I think we really need to watch this guy as he seems to be trying to normalize deviant behavior just like Nixon. In a normal world this guy belongs no where near the levers of power.

The one great irony here is that Obama endlessly sought to accommodate Putin, from Ukraine to Syria to not confronting him over hacking. In 2015, Obama rejected bipartisan calls to stand up to Putin by arming anti-Russian factions in Ukraine. In fact, a constant GOP complaint from 2014-15 was that Obama was giving Putin his way from Ukraine to Syria.

I personally think Obama's avoidance of conflict and tension with Russia was a good thing, but I don't see how it squares with Democratic party orthodoxy now. We are seeing the neocons flock back to the Democratic party, who apparently wants to go to war with Russia because their terrible candidate lost. Absolutely insane.

Josh,

The United States was in a position after World War II to have a robust economy because Germany and Japan 's economy greatly suffered from devastation. We didn't have much competition and one the reason's why our economy greatly enhanced during that period and one could argue that the growth the US experience during that time was an anomaly. Once Germany and Japan were able to rebuild their economies revive, our economy was challenged by competition. What we are seeing now is a depression in wages that has been stagnated for more than 35 years, and the problem is that both parties haven't been able to come up with solutions to solve wage stagnation. Make America great again isn't going to help if workers wages don't increase for them to buy anything. Wage increase needs to part of an economic plan. The reality is a person making $7.50 an hour isn't capable of buying very much and depending on what part of the country he or she, it barely pays for decent housing. Unfortunately, cheap labor is the history of this country and definitely will change under a Trump Administration.

What else happened over the past 35 years? We imported about 40 million more workers. Anyone who comprehends the basics of supply and demand understands how increasing the supply of workers lowers the price companies have to pay for their labor. One solution to to wage stagnation would be to stop importing massive numbers of new workers.

Some white men feel so emboldened in the power of their whiteness that they'll say the SAME lie over and over and over and over again, until they wear out normally rational thinking people into believing said lie.

@It's Yisheng,

"Dems are THE biggest punks on the planet IMHO!"

Absolutely TRUE! The late great Civil Rights icon, Julian Bond, then-head of the NAACP resolutely stated that, "The Democrats are spineless while the republicans are RUTHLESS!" Both the dems and the reTHUGs threatened the NAACP's non-profit status, too.

As an FDR Independent, the party left their roots quite sometime ago when, as Oliver Stone depicted in his brilliant "Untold History of the United States" series, how the PASSING OVER of Henry Wallace for Veep brought about the Haberdasher Truman, whom Stone depicted as a borderline imbecile.

W.E.B Dubois, in his piece, "Why I won't vote," for the Nation, talks about how he voted for Henry Wallace and his Progressive Party in '44.

Bernie Sanders was the modern day equivalent of Henry Wallace---and we see how the dems did him.

Screw the dems. Voted Green in '16 and remain ecstatic that HRC lost. She and Barack had MKG of Libya lynched, but not before they had a bayonet run up his rectum, first. MKG tried to free the entire continent of Africa by switching the entire continent to a gold currency, which is why Hollande enlisted Merkel and Hillary's aide to push the spineless jellyfish puppet Obama, to KILL MKG.

That was unpardonable, as was Obama and HRC's attack upon Syria, which, along with Libya HAS CAUSED THE GREATEST FORCED MIGRATION SINCE WWII!!!!

Sorry, @Sheri Maple, one can argue that neither HRC nor Obama really care about the American people, but rather the corporate interests whom they served.

As someone who has raged against this POTUS BEFORE he even took office in '08 because he SNUBBED the Black Harvard Law Alum ---one of whom was a ladyfriend---who worked on Capitol Hill, refusing to meet with them---long before he snubbed Tavis and Cornel West, it appears ALL those Black folk who raged at Tavis and Cornel for criticizing Obama will find themselves suffering even more than they have been.

I actually give Field credit. Why evaluate yourself or look inside to figure out why your ideology has lost more ground in the past year than any American ideology in the same time-frame ever? Just keep doing what you were doing.

Whatever brainwashed these people into being corporate slaves, I'm actually all for someone who sticks to their guns and doesn't abandon ship just because it's sinking.

Pussies bail out. Real ideologues stick around 'til there's nothing left and nowhere to go but underground. When logical, reasonable America whittles progressive ideology down to a nub, Field will still be clinging onto it for dear life.

I find it commendable, personally.

Just the opposite, allowing "Whites" in the mix when they would have been the slaveowners in the plantation that your bastardized monicker suggests---and the previous foolishness that I observed with those women should have kept me away. Rumor has it that you are an attorney and were a big Hillary supporter. It figures. You, my friend, for allowing the b.s. that you do, in service to white supremacists, are a disgrace.

At the height of slavery in America, around 1.4% of southern whites owned slaves.

If the fairy tale version of slavery were even 1/1000th as accurate as you crybabies (who weren't alive then, mind you) pretend, blacks wouldn't even exist in America.
