She says, she says, and a new low for the NRA.

This battle of dueling accounts about whether Chris Christie strong-armed Hoboken Mayor, Dawn Zimmer, is getting interesting.




On one side is the aforementioned Zimmer, and on the other side is the New Jersey Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno who flatly denies it. Guess who I believe.




"As they pursue this investigation, I will provide any requested information and testify under oath about the facts of what happened when the Lieutenant Governor came to Hoboken and told me that Sandy aid would be contingent on moving forward with a private development project...."




Yes, and the Mayor actually has a journal with an entry at the time of the incident surrounded by other entries  before and after the alleged conversation.


Unless Ms. Zimmer could look into a crystal ball and tell the future, that entry is pretty strong evidence to back up her allegation.




"I deny any suggestion made by Mayor (Dawn) Zimmer that there was ever any condition on the release of Sandy funds by me," Guadagno said Monday at a news conference in Union Beach, N.J.




"The diary entry read: 'She pulls me aside with no one else around and says that I need to move forward with the Rockefeller project. It is very important to the governor.


'"The word is that you are against it and you need to move forward or we are not going to be able to help you. I know it's not right – these things should not be connected – but they are," she says, and "if you tell anyone, I will deny it."'


Well at least she (The Lt. Governor) was being truthful about one thing.


Finally, some Negroes have no shame. (See my HNOTD) I still can't believe that some dude agreed to be used on MLK Day to send a promotional message for the NRA. (As if Sarah Palin choosing to denigrate this day by her petty and ignorant comments wasn't enough)

To mark today’s holiday, the NRA enlisted its hip, young, black “commentator” Colion Noir to deliver a video message about how much King loved guns.


Noir begins with a message that is unlikely to resonate strongly with the NRA’s many members, saying if King were alive today he would “look at our current president and smile, not because of his politics, but because of what his presence in the White House represents.” After explaining that President Barack Obama would have been “arrested or even beaten for drinking from the wrong water fountain” 50 years ago, he adds, “notwithstanding some of President Obama’s policies on gun control, that’s a hell of a lot of progress if you ask me.”


Quickly, Noir shifts his message to gun control, pointing out the fact that he was granted a concealed handgun license, while historical record shows that King applied for one and was denied. “Let’s not forget, the first forms of gun control were created to keep people like me from having guns,” he says, invoking his shared race with King.


Noir goes on to try to reconcile King’s “non-violent” reputation with his apparent desire to protect himself with a gun. “When Dr. King was denied [the firearm license],” he says, “he did the next best thing and surrounded himself with people with guns.” Presuming to know what King believed, he adds, “In my heart, based on Dr. King’s own actions, I don’t believe that Dr. King would ever advocate leaving a family, or anyone for that matter, defenseless in the face of violent life threatening danger.”


In his role as the most visible civil rights leader of his time, Dr. King knew that he was in danger and evidently took steps to try to protect himself. But even though he “surrounded himself with people with guns,” as Noir explains, it didn’t stop him from being gunned down by his assassin James Earl Ray from across the street while he was standing on the balcony of his hotel room. Noir does not address how a concealed weapons permit would have helped King in that particular situation." [Source]

Let me say for the record right now; the Duck Dynasty dude probably should have not been suspended. He is on that network and pulling ratings because he is an ignorant redneck, so to suspend him reeks of Inspector Louis Renault from Casablanca. What kind of enlightened pearls of wisdom do you think would come out of the mouth of a guy like that?

Still, having said that, I find it rather amusing and somewhat interesting that he was suspended for his ignorant and despicable comments about Gays, but all we hear are crickets when it comes to his statements about black folks down in Louisiana.

I never heard one of them, one black person, say, ‘I tell you what: These doggone white people’—not a word!... Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? Nope, they weren't happy. Mrs. Field's dear granddaddy (may his soul rest in peace) told me so.

Maybe these comments about black folks aren't getting a rise out of folks because quite a few people in the majority population agree with him.

But I can assure you that there was nothing to be happy about in pre- civil rights and Jim Crow Louisiana.

Do you see where Phil is going? He lumps in "entitlement" and "welfare" with civil rights. Nice.

Of course, as is to be expected, this has started a culture war. Sarah Palin and her peeps over at Fox News are supporting the Duck man. (An ignorant bigot will get their support every time.) They think that he is being unfairly treated for speaking his mind. But these same people wanted Martin Bashir fired for speaking his mind about Sarah Palin.  Go figure.

Unbelievably, the governor of the state of Louisiana is supporting the Duck Man as well. I wonder how the blacks in his state feel about that.

Anyway, here comes the NAACP letter:

"We want to be clear why Phil Robertson’s remarks are not just dangerous but also inaccurate. Mr. Robertson claims that, from what he saw, African Americans were happier under Jim Crow. What he didn’t see were lynching and beatings of black men and women for attempting to vote or simply walking down the street"

Yes, but at least they had music.









 



 

Whose remarks were more repulsive?

Sarah Palin is in the middle of her woe is me tour. She is getting all kinds of support and love from the main stream media and wingnut ---and some liberal--- pundits. Why? Because she has been perceived as the victim after Martin Bashir's comments about her mouth and what he would like to see go in it. (Hey, it's what was done to slaves by some slave owners, Bashir was simply wondering how it would feel to Palin if she suffered the same way that the slaves did.)

Of course this couldn't have gone better for Palin if she had planned it in advance with the aforementioned Bashir. No one plays the victim role like Sarah Palin. No one! She thrives on being a "super troll" who says outrageous things, and when there is a response she acts shocked that her intended troll target would have such a response.

"I don't have to accept his words, his vile, evil comments, so they don't have to affect me. I move on and I charge forth," the 2008 vice presidential candidate said during an interview that aired on "Fox News Sunday."

Give me a break!

 It is what she is doing to Bashir, now. He was rightfully outraged by her ignorant and misguided comments about slavery, and he just could not keep his anger in check. I understand. I wanted to say something much worse.

The irony is, of course, that Bashir is taking way more heat for his comments about Palin than she is about her shameful comments about slavery.

Bashir apologized to Palin, but she doubled down and did not apologize to the millions of African Americans in this country who are descendants of slaves.

But she gets a pass, because trivializing the suffering that came along with slavery is now accepted in "post-racial" America. The "federal debt" might be equal to slavery in her eyes, because her ancestors were not beaten and whipped and treated as chattel.

Of course conservatives have tried to spin her comments. They have actually read her mind and decided that she meant a different kind of slavery. Whatever.

 Palin herself tried to lecture us black folks about slavery and what it really means. I mean Sarah does know black folks. Just ask Glen Rice.

"And that’s not a racist thing to do, by the way, which I know somebody is going to claim it is.

TAPPER: Don’t you ever fear that by using hyperbole like that — obviously, you don’t literally mean it’s like slavery, which cost millions of people their lives and there was rape and torture. You’re using it as a metaphor.

But don’t you ever worry that by using that kind of language, you — you risk obscuring the point you’re trying to make?

PALIN: There is another definition of slavery and that is being beholden to some kind of master that is not of your choosing. And, yes, the national debt will be like slavery when the note comes due.

TAPPER: So you’re not — you’re not work — I mean I’m — I’m taking it as a no, but you’re not — you’re not concerned about the language —

I could use that five million, Sarah being Sarah, and the black information bubble.

If I have to cut this post short I hope you will understand. I am waiting on word from my peeps who are out there trying to dig up Obama's college transcripts and his passport. I could use that five million Mr. Bad Hair is offering  to O. Maybe if I get it to him first he will give me the money.

So this is Mr. Bad Hair's "October surprise" and bombshell? Sometimes I swear the man is working for the dems.

So anyway, I saw a little of Mitt's speech in Colorado, today. Mitt, who is the "colored" candidate in this race? WTF is that on your face? Is that an orange spray tan? Yes, I think it is. Mitt, I sure hope that you aren't tanning up again for the Hispanic vote.

Finally, it seems that thanks to sports and our girl Sarah Palin, there are some racial issues to address.

First Sarah.

"Why the lies? Why the cover up? Why the dissembling about the cause of the murder of our ambassador on the anniversary of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil? We deserve answers to this. President Obama's shuck and jive shtick with these Benghazi lies must end," Palin wrote.

For those who aren't familiar with the phrase, "shuck and jive" is a racially-tinged expression. According to the user-submitted Urban Dictionary, the term "originally referred to the intentionally misleading words and actions that African-Americans would employ in order to deceive racist Euro-Americans in power, both during the period of slavery and afterwards." Yawn. Sadly for her, Sarah is no longer relevant. These comments might as well be coming from some redneck in a trailer down in Mississippi.

Besides, I am done calling out racism in the republiklan party. If the Negroes who belong to that party and support it aren't bothered, then why should I concern myself?   

Then there are sports.

Jason Whitlock is at it again. This time he is calling out what he calls the black "information bubble" for protecting black quarterbacks like Cam Newton:

It’s unhealthy for intellectual growth and our democracy.

Black sports fans and black pop-culture media (not sports media) have created a loosely-formed-but-influential social-media and talk-radio information bubble for black QBs. This network of groupthink roars on sports-talk radio, black-owned radio stations, Facebook and Twitter, pumping out the message that Newton, Griffin and others can do no wrong and any criticism of them is rooted in racism. Fear of backlash from this network of well-intentioned enablers causes many mainstream sports analysts (media and fans of all colors) to avoid being totally honest about black QBs.

That’s how a career-killing, information bubble is formed.
White QBs don’t have to deal with this. In Kansas City, a group of fans paid for a banner to be flown over Arrowhead Stadium that called for owner Clark Hunt to bench Matt Cassel. Kansas City’s backup quarterback is Brady Quinn, the Cleveland bust. He’s not a solution. But he was named the starter on Monday.
  Imagine the uproar if Eagles fans took similar action against turnover-machine Michael Vick? There would be riots in the streets. Philly fans would be labeled racist." [Source]

Jason has written a lot of dumb things in his day, but this one might just be the dumbest. The post was so absurd, that Rush Limbaugh ,of all people, found vindication in Jason's words.

First of all, Jason needs to understand the passion of the average football fan be he black, white, brown, or green. If he did, he would understand that Eagles fans could care less what their QB looks like as long as he is winning. Some of Seven's biggest critics here in Philly are black. Why? Because they want to win, and in their minds Seven isn't getting it done right now. If Jason had done a little research before writing his ridiculous article he would have realized that.

"American Intellectuals"

I was going to write something about the politics of the Supreme Court decision on Thursday, but, quite frankly, I am sick of politics in this country and all the players who are involved with it.

Most of us who know how America really works, and how the political parties function, understand that it doesn't matter who is in the White House or who controls the halls of congress. We know that real power in America comes from lobbyist and the people who can afford to pay them. Politicians who go to Washington need money to get elected and John Q. Public cannot afford to write a big enough check.

The sad truth of the matter is that most of our fellow citizens are extremely naive and are not in the least intellectually curious.  As a result, what we get are dimwitted sound bite politicians who are elected every year by dim witted intellectually lazy citizens. (The republican Governor of Louisiana says that he will ignore a federal law and not implement Obamacare in his state.)

Just think, playmates are now getting "Genius visas" to come to our country. Nothing against playmates, I am sure that some of them are really smart people, but think about that for a minute.

The right keeps screaming that if Obama wins November it will be the end of the world as we all know it. But with all due respect to Sarah Palin, Rush Limpboy and the FOX NEWS crowd, nothing will change. America will pretty much be the same sound bite celebrity driven place with a few wealthy people controlling our lives, and the rest of us wishing that we were them.

The beautiful thing about this American experiment is that every one of those folks in the 99% believes that with just a little hard work they too will be in that 1% some day. And they believe that only if certain people are in power will they have a chance of getting there. "Mitt Romney has a better chance of making me rich because he is rich." 

Finally, I know I said I wouldn't write about it, but I can't resist one aspect of this Obamacare decision by the supremes: the reaction of [right] wingnuts to the ruling. (Did you see representative Jean Schmidt's orgasmic reaction to the wrong news about Obamacare?)

Therefore neurologists will tell you that medication used for seizure disorders, such as epilepsy, can introduce mental slowing, forgetfulness and other cognitive problems. And if you look at Roberts’ writings you can see the cognitive dissociation in what he is saying,”
In a closed door meeting with House Republicans, Rep. Mike Pence likened the health care ruling to Sept. 11, Politico reported

Geraldo Rivera didn’t criticize Roberts as much as call him a mad genius. On Fox and Friends Friday morning, Geraldo said: “(Roberts) has gifted President Obama a poison pill. Republicans now can remember, unless something is done, that the Bush tax cuts also lapse at the end of the year. So here you have the largest tax increase and the increase coming from the expiration of the Bush tax cuts - he taxed us, he said he wouldn’t tax us, he taxed us. I think the Obama presidency hangs by a thread right now.”

Saying the Supreme Court decision “destroys Bush’s legacy,” dimmed conservative star Glenn Beck put his rhetoric where his online store is. He is selling screen-printed Roberts “coward” t-shirts for $30 a pop." [Source]

Matt's October surprises aren't surprising anybody.

Poor Matt Drudge. The little weasel who always looks like he is masturbating under his overcoat has been throwing everything at the O man but the kitchen sink. Unfortunately for him, nothing seems to stick. Every day it's a new so called bomb shell written in red, and the little weasel prays that each one will stick. A few days ago it was the poor McCain campaign worker, who got a "B" carved on her mug by the dyslexic black mugger. And today it's an old tape of his O ness saying that we should redistribute wealth in this country (Like that's a bad thing. Hell that would be reason enough to vote for the guy right there). Then he goes back to when his O ness was in law school to find another none story to post on his site. (Matt does it with imagery too. Note the sick picture of poor Sarah hanging in effigy from some psychos home. And the one of the screaming Obama supporter). In fact, if you have been following Drudge for the past few days, you will notice that his site has become even more unhinged and alarmist. Shorter and shorter on facts, but longer on sensationalism. But sorry Matt, it won't work this time. Why? Because A-merry-cans have seen this trick before. And usually they will fall for it, or at least pretend to, but not this time. There is too much at stake here in A-merry-ca now; times are hard. People are really hurting, and all these bull shit distractions aren't going to help them keep their families warm this winter or put food on their tables.

And it's such a shame, because there are some stories out there worth investigating and reporting on. Did someone really say "He's a Nigger" on that video, and Sarah paused but didn't chastise her supporter? Wow! I still don't want to believe it. But if it wasn't for the Internet I wouldn't even have known about this latest happening in the land of Palin. Of course Drudge wouldn't report it. Just like I won't hold my breath and wait for him to report this one. (Update, I take that back, he did report on it, way below the headlines) Now, let me ask you folks a serious question: If a bunch of militant black separatist had planned to kill Mr. Morton and the feds uncovered it, how many nightly news cast do you think would lead with the story? If you guessed all of them please move to the head of the class.

So Matt, I think the gig is up, A-merry-ca is on to your "Chester the molester" looking ass. If this is the "October Surprise" you are going to have to do a whole lot better than that. In fact, the only "October surprise" I have seen this year is my Phillies being on the verge of winning the World Series. All that other crap is just noise. And guess what, it ain't even loud noise, because it is being drowned out by the Obamaholics. Funny what money mixed with passion can do isn't it Matt? Now, even your 15 million hits per day site can't drive the debate like it used to. Sorry Matt, this ain't John Kerry. You won't help to "swift boat" this guy. His Obamaholics won't let you.

I honestly was trying to avoid writing about this next story. And I held out as long as I could. I already have an unfair rep. of being somewhat of a sexist, and I was afraid that writing about this subject would reinforce that unfair perception of moi. After all, if Sarah Palin was a male politician, would we have made such a big deal about her $150,000 shopping spree on the RNC's dime? I thought about that for a minute.....and the answer I came up with was, yes. I will use exhibit A, John Edwards, and his $200 hair cuts, to bolster my position. We killed the Breck Boy for his vainglorious ways, when his hair cuts were the story. So yes, Sarah, your ass is fair game.

Now let's talk about Sarah for a minute: Seems girlfriend hit up Neiman Marcus in the Twin Cities and Saks in the Lu for $75,062 and $41,850, respectively (that's funny, I never pegged St. Louis for a Saks kind of town), and girlfriend dropped another $4,100 for makeup and hair consulting. Even little baby Trig got hooked up. A $92 romper and matching hat did the trick for the little one. But seriously, hair consulting? Is that kind of like having a life coach just for your hair. Now why would Sarah need a hair consultant? I have some advise for you Sarah; and it won't cost you a dime: Lose that fucked up Aunt B hair style of yours. Try something else. Anything.

So in all, the little shopping spree came up to $150,000.00 all to dress up the hockey mom. (The Flyers are still winless) Sorry Sarah, your little makeover doesn't say small town middle A-merry-can values to me. In fact, it says style and appearance over substance. So let's see now: the average U.S. household spends $1,874 a year on clothes, you dropped damn near $100,000.00 on clothes in one month. That's a little more than just some lipstick there Sarah, don't you think? And I wonder if you will pay the taxes you will owe for these gifts? I am guessing you won't. After all, you do have some issues with stealing the government's money.

"Let's do what our parents told us before we probably even got that first credit card...Don't live outside of our means" Hear that A-merry-ca? Don't blow the entire college fund and 401K in just one month.

But as funny as this shit is, it's not what really has me pissed off about this story. No, it's the rethulicans reaction and how they carried about their little operation makeover in the first place. First, the arrogant pieces of shits are acting as if it's no big deal, just another case of the press picking on poor Sarah. And now we hear that they are going to donate the clothes to charity. Give me a break! Like what they are just going to drive that shit down to the Goodwill and drop it off. (Yes, I am Bob from the RNC, we have some Bob Mackie gowns here that we think you would just love to have )The slick ass rethuglicans, knowing that it's illegal for candidates to buy themselves clothes and personal items. So what did they do? They had a rehtuglican consultant, Jeff Larson, bill all the goodies to his firm, and then they reimbursed him. Larson, by the way, is running Mr. Morton's robo calls and is the same guy that ran the frat boy's robo calls against Mr. Morton in 2000. So in order to get around a little campaign law that McCain himself co-authored, the RNC used a middle man to get Sarah her clothes. You cant make this shit up.

So round and round it goes. Sarah and the family needed clothes because what, they don't have clothes in Alaska? The clothes they had didn't play well on television? What the hell, the woman was a governor of the state of Alaska for crying out loud, and her family didn't have any clothes? Can you imagine if the shoe was on the other foot (no pun intended), and the DNC had hooked up Joe Biden with some suits? We wouldn't hear the end of it.

But enough of Saksgate, it's time we got back to focusing on the real important issues facing our country. How bout dem Phillies?

Scranton Pennsylvania ain't exactly field Negro country, if you get my drift. So I wasn't exactly surprised to hear that the good folks in Scranton were calling for the head of the skinny Negro with the funny name. "Kill Him" , one enthusiastic supporter shouted, while Congressional candidate, Chris Hackett, fired up the crowd. Oh, did I mention that this was once again a Sarah Palin rally? Well I didn't. But if you have been following these elections like I have, you would know that I didn't have to. Because I am sure you knew exactly who the guest of honor was.

Honestly, who are these people? Do they just follow Sarah around like "dead heads" or some shit? The Sarah Palin Hate Tour coming to a small back water town near you. And why didn't anyone in the crowd call out this guy? Why didn't Chris Hackett, who should know better, and who is running for Congress for crying out loud, rebuke the guy? Seriously folks; this stuff is not funny. These people aren't too smart, and if you keep telling them enough, they will really try to hurt that uppity Negro. Take that nigger, how is that for change? Since you are supposed to be the second coming, let me see you rise from the dead. Your dead ass is the only change that we all can believe in. We have god on our side ,so we will go to heaven after we kill your ass.

Now Mr. Morton is calling on the O man to condemn John Lewis for calling out the Sarah Hate Tour.

Something which in spite of all the polls, I still think you might do.

That was an article about the beauty queen, talking to the propaganda arm of her party, also known as FOX NEWS, about his O ness. She thinks he is disqualified from consideration for being commander in chief? Are you fucking kidding me? A woman who went to six colleges in six years? And a person who is so fucking dumb that she can't name one supreme court decision she disagrees with, or name a magazine that she likes to read? She is calling for someone to be disqualified for the post of commander in chief? But hey, at least she has a nice wink, and her calves do look nice in those heels, I guess that qualifies her for the post of Vice President. At least to quite a few of our fellow citizens, whose idea of an intellectual genius is Alex Trebek.

I heard a very well respected republican here in Philly say that if Obama wins, Sarah Palin will be the GOP front runner for president in 2012. In fact, he says that even if McCain wins, Sarah will be set up for a legitimate run for the presidency when President McCain decides not to run again. Can you imagine? The future of the republican party is Sarah freaking Palin.

I am sitting here watching the debates from a place called...ready for this? "The Field House". How appropriate, because field Negro, Ifill, was all that tonight. She certainly acted as if-- to use a sports metaphor--, she was in her house.

Mrs. Field's three year old niece is visiting from Louisiana; and honest to god she could do a better job than Sarah Palin is doing as I write this post, tonight. Sorry, I can't sugar coat this, I am going out of my way and straining to find positives for the beauty queen, but I can't.

The beauty queen told Joe Biden that he wanted to "raise the white flag" in Iraq, but I wanted to raise the white flag for her ass. Maybe it's the trial lawyer in me. But I look for certain things when people are public speaking that other people don't. And tonight, Sarah broke all the rules: She was rushed, nervous, and her lines were all too rehearsed. Biden cried when talking about losing his family for crying out loud, and she jumped right back on her talking points without missing a beat. Talk about robotic. If there is one independent who was on the fence who will vote for Sarah after this debate, please drop a comment here in the fields; we need to hear from you. And please post a picture of yourself, because I am curious to see what a Martian looks like.

I was watching the debate on CNN, and the cameras cut to a split screen of a GOP watch party. If you have ever been to the "Linc" when the Eagles are blowing a fourth quarter lead, you will get an idea of what those GOP faithfuls looked like. It was, in a word, sad. They looked like a home town crowd watching their team get their ass kicked. It was that bad.

Okay, mercifully for Sarah, it's over. I am going to listen to the pundits now.....

Okay, listened to the pundits, and they are all saying that Sarah pretty much held her own. Over at FAKE NEWS they are having to pass out the wet wipes for all the men on the set. (Multiple orgasms will do that to you). With the exception of one or two of the talking heads (thank goodness for Rachel Madow), folks are calling it a push or slight edge to Sarah. Wow! Now I know I am out of the main stream.

They can say what they want though, tomorrow I will start my two a days at the gym (That au natural Broad Street run looks like it's on come election night). Because I know that my eyes and ears aren't lying to me, even if the pundits are.

See folks, it's like this: Mr. Morton can call his wife a "cunt", and not a peep out of the news media. People (All except Obama of course) can call Hillary Clinton all types of vile and vicious things, but not a peep out of the media. That lipstick comment was actually a reference to something Mr. Morton said earlier, but not a peep about that. Why? Because all the dumb mother fuckers in these divided states, like the aforementioned, Carolyn Kay, choose to focus on the "O" man. Why? I will let you try to decide that one. But you only get one guess.

Anyway, since when is pig a sexist term? Didn't she (the beauty queen) call herself a pit bull? Personally, I think pigs are just as cute as pit bulls. You need to take on Mr. Morton, and take him on about the issues. Attack his tax plan, and his voting record with the frat boy. Keep hammering him on the issues, and stay on message. To steal a line from a very popular bus company: Go with the issues, and leave the nasty stuff to us.

Now speaking of nasty stuff, I have STILL not heard anything to disprove that story out of Alaska that the beauty queen called Hillary a bitch, and the "O" man a Sambo. Oh field that story again; I thought everyone agreed to leave that story alone since some of the other Internet rumors about Ms. Palin have proven not to be true? I didn't agree to shit!
